Hacked IMVU Account
I have created an IMVU account and allow a previous friend to use the account. We had a falling out therefore I had request for the account to be returned. I contacted IMVU several times but because the person was of the same culture background IMVU refuse to investigate the complaint. The AP purchase is under my name for the account and the account was created in the USA but the customer continues to avoid theses factors. Upon speaking with a supervisor who was rude and continue to overlook the fact that I dont have any new information on the account. His response was I was not the verified owner of the account despite where the account was created at and my information of the account didn't exist. Then he refuse to give an reference number to the customer service call we were on and I'm VIP! At this point I will be discontinuing all the VIP subscriptions on my accounts with IMVU and I looking into filing a legal complaint.
The account need to be restore back to the owner or Im going to file legally in court against the company.

Imvu staff are really rude and unproffesional. I had to file a case as my account had been put on hold. They have asked for the same information more times than I can remember. I HAVE HAD TO REPEAT MYSELF. I already gave a full detail report and all information required! Its just getting f*ing annoying now. IMVU needs a complaint line and review check! If I could I would give a rating of 0 stars, just because the staff makes my experience feel awful. I dont believe IMVUs quote of "We are here to give you the best experience".

it depends on the information you give for the recover. i just did mine on Friday and was able to recover my account. i was missing 1 item but they understood i couldn't provide it since it was a gift card. from what i follow you need to have the birth date match and show id [not blurry or cover any part of the id.] if they say it can not be verified from the picture then it maybe that your card is old or not a current authorized ID [like US driver ID has a new and old version still circulating]. if they still dont it might be other reasons.
Online threats and disrespectful and bullying
I'm no longer an imvu user, this app is full of bullying, child pornography and harassment. I was hacked, my life was threatened, someone even traced my IP address just to try and find my location. This game shouldn't be mobile. To many underage children on the app. Also imvu allows people to post real life pictures. Which some are nudes. Get out..

False account purge
I had a grandfathered account on imvu since 2011, and was hacked in 2015. I tried multiple times to get the account back, only to receive rude customer support and a flat out refusal to help even though I had evidence and screenshots to prove I owned the account. I have multiple accounts and ones been deactivated before so I know they could've given it back. Turns out after they refused to help me I go to filed a ticket recently. (2020) and they purged the account in 2015. After I tried to get it back so I could log in. An account I spent over 200$ on, put a lot of work in and they swiped it from me knowing full well I was not able to log in. The customer support is trash. They send the same message over and over again in different context and dont try at all to at least resolve any issues they just point to useless articles that dont even solve my problem, nor have anything to do with them. Im legit about to go professor umbridge in here because imvu it so out of place and wonky with everything. They falsely purged my account claiming it was inactive yet they knew I couldn't log in. Never once got an email either on my old email about it being deactivated. Don't bother with using imvu, because in the end they'll just f*ck you over in the end.
Deleted multiple photos w/o reason
IMVU is discriminating against me by deleting my pictures that do not violate their Community Guidelines. I don't know what person is responsible for deleting my photos but so far, they have deleted about 8 of the same photo - all within an hour. I spend a lot of time and money on this platform and I expect to be treated the same as everyone else. During this crucial time of social distancing and isolation, I expect much more from this virtual gaming space. I will be going to Second Life and spend my time and money there.
it depends if your account doesn't have a private lock anyone can see it. someone probably reported the pictures cause they were visible to everyone. as for Second Life the support hasn't been as great as in the past. i once reported about 25 copyright violators and was told the holder had to report them. when i mentioned the holder left SL and asked me to manage their copyrights on sl, provided proof i was told the same thing. GL though with your adventures.

An IMVU account that was 1st put on hold all because a friend gifted me a name change token. They wanted the original E-mail address used when the account was made plus PayPal user name and email used for PayPal when 1st joined and a few other things. I have changed the email address on that account a few times plus have different email addresses for other accounts. But cuz in 10 years I have never been asked to provide 1st email address ever used cuz if I did know, I would have saved that info the 1st time I changed the e-mail address. Basically, I lost an account that has a whole lot of things created that was making a good amount of credits every day, but no matter what cuz I don't remember the original email address, it looks like IMVU more or less stole a whole lot of created goods plus a whole lot of Credits. If anyone knows a way to learn the original email address on an account or if anyone knows a way to make an account get un-suspended from more or less permanently suspended as it is now would help out a whole lot. I will even say the Name of the Account. It is "Like" and the account name before that was "Abstral". So again I would appreciate the help of anyone that can help me in this matter. I joined a chatroom earlier this morning and there was a user talking about weather Cardi Bs rear end was real or fake. so I was trying to be helpful and Google it, and when I told him he got angry and made some very very rude comments. He was talking about wanting to come to my house and shoot me, he threatened to hack my account, he was being very racist and saying that hes going to buy an African American person and make them his slave. I am very upset as I have spent over £100 on credits, VIP, AP etc and without even removing my items that were a problem they completely disabled/banned my account!

Same problem here.. My account was alive over 10+ years which 6 years of it was spend on creating and selling. I don't even remember how much i spend IMVU in total. Forget about my personal spending. I even bought name register and credits for many friends. And today i'm greeted with the exact message about using popular trademark names, logos, textures. Funny thing is IMVU shop is full with trademark names. Almost every seller has some of it. And i'm sure as my first name that these people also don't have any agreement or rights to use these trademark names. But yeah no some people must be banned when they get too succesful and start making some serious money. At least people they dislike. This is exactly how i feel about this now. I am planning to call their support one of these days to ask for more information about the issue. I just cannot accept the way they're banning longtime trustful users. as a thank you for all these years of support. But i'm pretty sure that they will do nothing but smash these trademark excuses to my face to shut me up. Im confused. very confused. and sadened by this. I've had nearly 2000 items in my catalog. all of them ''textures'' edited and replaced by me. If they do bussines like this than so be it. Considering to open up a help case to figure out a problem? Don't bother. No, I mean really, don't bother. They won't help you anyways and half of their responses are copied and pasted. Their answers never actually make any sense, and their help is [censored]ing useless. Now, let's say you take the upper hand and decide to call for support with their contact number. They will connect you to a live person. I've called about my account being banned over a username they allowed in the first place. It kept getting banned so luckily enough I had stocked up on name change tokens. If I didn't have those, how the [censored] else was I going to even have the chance to change my name, right? They don't allow NCT to be transferred anymore. So [censored] them again for that. On the phone they aren't any better, none of them speak perfect English and you can tell their ethnicity. It's like calling a scam company, literally. Doing anything on IMVU and having an issue and trying to talk with staff is pointless. If you're a creator and you get DMCA'd? Tough luck that's on YOUR OWN. You want to contact someone for help with a name change? Tough luck! They had a policy if a username was Guest_ and was inactive, you could easily swipe it up. Now.. you can't. They won't even [censored]ing talk to you about it? Their automated response being.. "Please be advised that the name "_________" is no longer available for name change due to the reason that we cannot disclose. Kindly provide your top 5 preferred avatar names with at least 6 characters for us to check which one is available for you." Are you [censored]ing kidding me? Like... what? Every decent username is taken and most are used hoarded accounts people don't use. I'm surprised people continue to support staff or even use IMVU. I know I still do, so I can't blame them. However, I wish someone would take over IMVU and just buy the [censored]ing company and make it actually good. There are so many flaws they don't care about. How about we get actual people for live support who aren't given designated copy and paste responses? It's irritating. [censored] you, IMVU. Get your [censored] together.
wrongful accusation of fraudulent behavior
I've only had this account open for under 2 months. I used it for about 2 days before attempting to gain credits through an offer, when the credits haven't arrived I reported it and after 1 month I eventually got a email confirming I will receive my credits (this was from a 3rd party company that offered the credits on IMVU). I tried to log into my IMVU account and I found out it was disabled - with no prior notifications of this ever happening. When I enquired about it I was told that it was due to "fraudulent behavior" "going against their terms and conditions" and that "they can't give more details". However I have read the terms and conditions TWICE and I did nothing to break any, I didn't even need to read the terms and conditions as I have not even used this long enough to do anything wrong. Besides, I have also seen that many other people have complained about IMVU wrongfully accusing them of fraudulent behavior so sadly I'm not the first one.
imvu revoked my creating privileges unfairly
I have been on imvu for over 9 years now and a Pro Creator for over 5 years. IMVU removed my creator privileges when someone falsely accused me of copyright. I than counter claimed the accusation with proof that is was my texture used in the product. The person who accused me did not seek any further action . IMVU gave back my product and material but refused to reinstate my creating privileges. I have called and sent numerous messages . They don't give any valid reasons for this. I have invested alot of time and money into making my products. It was something i enjoyed doing. They took away everything and there isnt anything i can do because they have the right to remove anyones privileges, whether your guilty of not. What they did to me was unfair. I barely login any longer because its so depressing and not the same anymore. This is a terrible company and I would never recommend it to anyone .

I've been away from IMVU for a while, simply because I found it to be quite boring due to lack of quality (anti-social members, no quality games, crappy rooms/availability, no friends to hang with, etc.). I only recently decided to come back only to find out that the majority of my accounts were hacked/disabled. I tried getting in contact with IMVU members through the few available accounts I had left, but I couldn't really since they're only for VIP and also because nobody has gotten into contact through email.
Like, I know ALL of my names and passwords, but only a few accounts I share emails with. Which in all honesty is pretty f*cked up especially when I'm trying to reset my passwords (you used to be able to easily do that). I'm overall pissed considering I've used those accounts for over a decade and that one of my favorite accounts is still online, but everything on it has changed (except of course it's name). I would create another, but it almost seems irritable to do so.

I have my accound suspended for 7 days, because appearently i posted some picture with inappropriate content, even tho i never post any pictures, at all. They refuse to show me proof, they basicly simply just ignore me and refuse to work with me to find out what is going on. This really angers me. How can they be so god damned blind, to the fact that stuff like this damages them. They send me some automated email, regarding the fact i posted inappropriate contend and that my accound is been suspended for ther next 7 days, telling me they have warned me in the past, and no they did NOT warn me at all. im so confused at the moment, i just want my account back. im trying to be polite, but they make it really, frikkin hard
unfair ban/disabled account
I am the owner of an account under the name of AmuulNaktaari an account i have owned and used for 12 years now, one morning i went on imvu and a few minutes later was banned for "fraudulent activity" your customer service has been unwilling to even help me, i have paid for a great deal of content on IMVU and as such banning me from the platform is wrong without providing a means to appeal it.
I will be filing a separate complaint with the district attorney as i believe IMVU have broken California law.
Spoke to the supervisor and put my case across, thankful to find it has been resolved.
I got my account banned unfairly for the season I “posed as an adult” I never posed as an adult my age has been in my bio for the whole time I switched to the adult servers Im 17, I will never lie to anyone about my age, I believe they should put me back in the teens server and verify my age if anything, cause some hater [censored]es had the nerve to report the chat when I told them about my age thats literally been in my bio too so they’re going off that evidence that I admitted but I actually never lied about my age, I just got it wrong when I made the account. They should verify eveyone’s age in my opinion cause there’s even younger people than me in the adults server and some of them have AP, I didnt but they still banned me instead of verifying my age, imvu customer support is so [censored] they are acting like robots acting like they didnt even read what I said
