scam/fraud
I am having been trying to reach a human being on the phone for days, w/no luck what so ever. I do not wish to talk to a customer service rep.
I want to talk to some one about what I have experienced & it's total bull. Absolutely no excuse for this behavior. Companies today only care about how much money they can scam from people & how much money they can make. With that said, here is my argument:
Under your site, the sub title of: how to apply to a job
Question: do I have to pay to be contacted by employers?
Answer: we are a free job search engine for job seekers, so there is no charge to search the site, upload your resume or apply for a job!
Well guess what, wrong! Not if you answer an ad from care.com. It cost you to answer their ads! So take them off your site. You can join for a membership to care.com to answer their ads.
I will be getting in touch w/bbb to add a complaint about both companies,
To you, this might be a minor issue but to many this is a major problem. Just foolish & unfair, especially to those who really need to make a living, so sad & disappointing.
unprofessional phone screening interview process
First saw the hiring ad online and apply it via Indeed.ca, then I got a 1st screening by a woman with accent and she sounded like she had no experience with phone interview, or just practicing. Expressing that if I don't get another call from them, then she wish me good luck on my job hunt. My 2nd screening was from Karen using perhaps her husband's phone (D. Elliot: [protected]). Asked basic questions, like my previous job, any cleaning experiences, reliable transportation, where you live...etc. What I was most shocked of was being asked "What was my salary from previous job?" How is this relevant for this job position? It's like how is it not offended if one ask you how much amount you have in your bank account. (Companies that are still asking this question to candidates are just low, thinking they can give you a lower salary according to the answer you provided.) Karen also ended the screening saying if I don't get a call back from them, then she wish me good luck with the job hunt. I got a phone call again from Karen about 3 days after, giving me Jennifer the owner of this company's phone number [protected]), telling me to contact Jennifer directly. I called, but it was on voice mail, so I left a message. 2 days after I got a voice message from Jennifer, when I call her again, it was voice mail. She called back 2 days after, then said that she got the info from Karen saying I live in Oshawa, Ontario but has no car. I said no, I don't live in Oshawa, and she said, oh, but Karen told her so (so, she trust Karen, her employee, more than the actual one she's interviewing who has a more accurate answer?), and then she said, "then it won't work, bye!" O_O not even saying sorry or wish me good luck with my job hunt? Plus her number is long distant call. I made 2 long distant calls just for this? Train your employees how to do a proper phone screening interview so it doesn't waste anyone's time and energy. (Karen, you should have listen more carefully and taken notes properly, instead of giving the candidate false hope) And if you're serious about hiring, then why isn't the owner the one who contact candidates directly in the first place, instead of going through all these unnecessary process?
I think the same thing happened to me, but instead this Jennifer character was really rude with me on the phone and completely unprofessional. Very discouraging for people who just want to work.

employer account blocked for no reason
I have used Indeed several times over the last few years and hired someone within days. Now I go and open a new business and we need urgently to hire our first 2 employees and after I posted the 2 jobs my account was blocked and I get some template email saying we blocked you for violating our terms. What is happening, these are basic vanilla job postings. I will revert to Craigslist which delivers the same caliber employees for very similar costs and takes just minutes to get a post active.
Here too, I am frustrated, I put my blood sweat and tears into this company and I can't even send Indeed legal paperwork or any proof that there is no wrong doing. I'm not even sure why I was blocked. Indeed simply blocked me one day, said it was a final decision when I protested the decision, I got a bot reply saying that there would be no further information given. I've hired a lot of people through indeed, and I haven't had any complaints. I would really like to talk to someone about this, like I say, I can provide all the documentation, testimonials, whatever they require.
My accounts were blocked too after the third posts. No explains, no reasons. I registered another account, blocked again. What the heck is happening. I was just posting a regular server job, nothing sensitive. Jesus
Having same issue, let me know if you have any solution,
My email address is sajjadrafique25@gmail.com

account blocked, no support customer care
For 2 years we have enjoyed the services of Indeed and we always felt satisfied. There were occasionally some issues, but they always got solved. Last week, in a crucial time of the year for our organisation in which we urgently needed to recruit new staff-members, our account got blocked. We were in touch with customer care all week to solve the issue, at...
Read full review of Indeed.com and 7 commentsnot worth, complete waste of time
I would not recommend trusting Indeed, their site is not safe and it seems like Indeed moderators don't care about their own website.
I was in search of a job and Indeed was the first site I decided to try. I found several job offers which were fake. There were also offers which were old but were not removed from the site.
I am not satisfied with Indeed, pretty much waste of time, it's almost impossible to find anything there.
People are posting their job offers on Indeed, but Indeed doesn't check how trustworthy these employers are. Not worth.
job opportunities
It's fraudulent. Be careful! I want everyone to be aware (Like the others that have already been duped), don't let this happen to you. I keep getting ongoing notices offering money, time, credit and I have yet to speak to an individual. Once I texted a message back to the texting individual that they could call me, I have not received another message.
It's unbelievable. I'm not sure what the "gain" is for these people, but I know i'm not going to find out. I hope no one else does either. It's a little scary.
Indeed is a scam company, beware of them, use another website
avoid
Indeed is a complete scam, do not use their service. I was a job seeker and was scammed by Indeed!
When I reported them and left several negative reviews online they contacted me and demanded me to delete everything! I refused to do that because I want people to know the truth. And do not give them your personal details and contact information, these people are rude and unprofessional.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
beware prospective applicants! unprofessional and unacceptable!!
I am a professional and recently applied for a job and downloaded my meticulously written resume via 'indeed'. The next day I went to the site to check on my resume and I was horrified to discover the poor format and gross mistakes made (for example- all of my past employers and experiences were listed under "Education") It made me look like an unpolished, unprofessional #####! I contacted 'indeed' immediately and they stated that they are "currently looking for ways to improve resume conversion". Seriously? This angered me more than I had been previously as they are obviously well aware that they are having huge problems downloading resumes and this is not a new problem for them. Had they warned applicants that their resumes would not appear as they should, I NEVER would have applied for any position. Your resume is EVERYTHING. They suggested that I go into my account and "edit" my resume. I was not willing to do this as it was so horribly downloaded that it would have required rewriting my whole resume. I immediately deleted my account. ADDITIONALLY ~ I received daily unwanted emails for prospective job openings. I am an RN and they were sending me email alerts for "Floor Cleaner" and "Financial Advisor"-- Really? Why would they do that. You don't need 'indeed' to apply for a job, you can do it better yourself.
uploading cv
while trying to upload my cv i am asked to rate all of my previous workplaces i have already done so and it still continues to ask about the same workplaces. i dont feel rating my workplaces is necessary, i didnt want to build my cv i just wanted to upload it and leave there. there is an option if i want to upload or build my cv but it seems i am still building it even though i have already uploaded it, this needs to be sorted because it makes it difficult to look for a job when i am being asked the review a workplace again and again, i wont be using this website to search for jobs and i wont be recommending it.
job posting
Before placing your ad on this site, be sure you totally understand how they charge. I place an ad, having no idea what I was doing and found the website was very unclear as to how they charge.in one week, we got 14 actual responses, and 6 of those were from outside of our state. We were just looking for a laborer to assist in equipment installation, yet we were getting engineers! But in addition to these 14 applicants, indeed claims that we had a total of 205 "clicks" and we were charged $3.71 per click (A total of $759.99 for one weeks worth of advertising) was this someone's kid sitting at a computer "clicking" or does someone in their office do it? Needless to say, we immediately withdrew our ad. The company representative continued to call and email to try to sucker us in for more advertising until we finally informed them that we felt they were disreputable and to cease attempts to contact us. Craigslist is far more effective and much cheaper plus you know in advance what it will cost.
jobs
Why is it that I apply for a job and follow up with the company and their is no job. They were not looking for anyone. Then other companies that are hiring do not receive my information.
I believe Indeed is advertising no existing jobs as a way to fill up their pages.
I intend to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau of North Carolina and the Online Business Bureau.
bogus job posting! potential psychopath?
I applied to a job posting on Indeed.ca for an "Executive Assistant to the CEO" for "Resilient Management." I submitted my resume with full personal information. I was called by someone whose name came up on my phone as "Maybe:Tara" - I couldn't speak at the time. She texted me the next day saying she and "Steve" were working out of his home that day, texted me the address with an apartment # and asked me to come interview for them that afternoon?! I never even spoke to them once giving or receiving any initial information. She gave no advanced notice for the interview and why would I go to some random apartment for an interview? And why is this person's name coming up as "Maybe:Tara." I went back and found the posting on Indeed.ca. I re-read it more carefully. First I noticed the date of the posting was from May 2016. I applied Dec. 2016! Then made more notice to how grandiose and peculiar the entire posting was. I first called back and received a young girl's vm, whose name was barely audible and definitely didn't match the name "Tara". I then texted back "Maybe:Tara" just to see, if there was some crazy possibility that there was an inkling of credibility to this whole bizarreness. I texted that I would need to speak with her first to gather more information about the job, who the CEO was, etc. She never texted back. And I never heard back from her again, thank goodness. What if I had gone, as a female, unaccompanied to this bogus address for an "interview." Also, they now have my resume, with all of my personal info on it! It is absolutely crazy and dangerous that this site would not check "employers" and that they are up and running, having job seekers, professionals, submit resumes, that contain personal information, your address, telephone #, picture they can associate it all to on Linkedin, etc., to what could be potential psychopaths.
useless website, do not waste your time here
This website www.Indeed.com is absolutely useless if you are really interested in finding a job. There are a lot of jobs on this website but most of them were posted years ago.
I tried to contact several employers and they were surprised to know their job offers were still online.
I did not find any good job offers on this website and the whole thing was just a waste of time.
job listings
Very sketchy business practices. Poor communication, staff is clueless on company policies. Speak to 3 people you will get 3 different stories on company policy. Should be sued for unethical and illegal practices. Closes account and blocks listings but does not communicate or provide any information to restore service. However they charge for clicks even though they clocked accounts. Disputed charges and won dispute.
job opportunity
Hi,
I recently apply for a job in a indian restaurant through indeed. After few days later one of staff member of that restaurant contact me and ask for which position do you like to work (Waitress or kitchen hand) then I replied for that and I few days later again he contact me and ask weather still I am interesting about that job or not. Then I told him that I am still interesting about that. Then he asked me to come for a movie after the interview. Then I told him I can come to the interview but not for the movie. Again he forced me to join with him.
This seems to be as a sexual assault.
I have already attached the screen shots for your kind information.
I am looking forward to get further action against this assault. After this, I was very uncomfortable about this conversation.
Please get necessary action to regarding this conversation.
jobs
Lot people have to be careful on these job site indeed the people out here using job company name and sent you fake check from fedex ups so people on indeed want to tell you be careful and be safe when they sent a check to your address go to your bank ask them if this is real or not the bank will tell you it is a scam learn it from yesterday someone sent !, 480.00 to my address stated they said it from state farm company and called state farm yesterday the person that gave me check from fedex that wasn't even state farm it was fake check now my bank took my uemployment check because some idiot said he work for state farm which he wasn't then have to returned item which not his or her scammer
job applications and resume online
I placed several applications and attached my resume to different jobs through indeed. I spoke with a dentist's office to pay for services provided for my son. While on the phone I asked if they had received my application and resume for their job posting. They had not. I'm not getting calls from any of the postings that I applied for. Is any receiving them?
Unauthorized charges
Indeed is a scam of a site! After having an issue with them a few month sago, I should have known better. They now are trying to charge for a job position I had posted with them. It was clearly listed as free, now they have charged my credit card 600.00 dollars. They refuse to eliminate the charges, I was told they would have to dis-able my account to...
