racist job advert
Upon browsing for jobs on indeed.com, I came across a job advertisement that I could not believe was allowed to be published and approved by indeed.com
The job vacancy clearly stated that no "black people" are allowed to apply as the location in which the job was being advertised does not have a "black" community. I am extremely angered that indeed.com has allowed this to be published on their website. I do not know if indeed.com has a monitoring system in place and if they must first approve of job advertisements or if companies have free reign over what they publish.
I have uploaded the job vacancy in question.
email services are terrible!
Warning about indeed email indeed.com allows employers contact you via their website. However the speed of the email processing is extremely slow! I tested this myself. I created a second account and emailed myself as if I was an employer. It has been hours and the email from the employer (Me) to myself still has not come through. Indeed has no phone number to call. I have tried contacted them with questions but their "solution" was to change my email account. I am very concerned that the speed of their "communication" tools are going to ruin my chances at getting this job.
virus obtained
I couldn't find another way to notify you about this issue. One of my team members obtained a virus today and we are pretty sure it came from your website. It was a Cryptowall virus. We thought you should be notified to check your systems and avoid other issues.
First of all Indeed runs out of Ireland with office in Dublin if you check the bottom of their page so this office listing in Texas good chance it is Fake.
I totally agree that it is bogus site with no security.
job offer scam
I have been emailed by a Mr Benjamin Perrizaz saying he works fro company Northrop Gumman Corp. While I know this company to be legite nd involved with security I can see the email was firstly sent to me in the south pacific and the company is in the US, No mention of where the job is. Saying his secretary is pregnant and needs someone to pickup mail, etc., This is not a proper job and Im not sure why they would scam a person that is looking for a warehouse job. Nayway please ignore the job offer and what was unusual is the email address looked like this.. Benjamin Perriraz via Indeed
The email fromBest buy
Sorry I was scamed also by Michelle Sanchez via indeed about a job offer
I do was scamed them using via indeed need to file a complaint
employment scam
I recently received a scam from a so-called employer by the name of expert-a group ltd. Please do not even entertain them with a response! They tried to get me through email to sign an employment agreement and also filled in the registration form giving out contact details and furthermore asking for my picture. I thought it was very weird and went on their website which was under construction. The next day, another email from them asking if I would consider the position and this time, they their website was up and running but still it just didn't looked right. Moreover, the so-called employee manager, ruby hlloway didn't even sound professional based on her grammar. She she she's the "curator" of the company. A curator is usually someone looking after a museum. Anyway, just be on a lookout for these scammers. It's bad enough trying to look for employment and now scammers on us to do harm.
indeed.com plugin virus beware!!!
I added the indeed.com plugin to my blog but when I did it invaded all my adsense ads and it took over the "Related posts" plugin that is supposed to show my other posts. Now my entire blog is overrun by this indeed virus. I contacted Indeed directly about one month ago to remove the account and they said they did but they lied. My account is still open and my blog has been destroyed by these plugins that cannot be removed. I have lost money from adsense and want everyone to beware of this virus plugin. Once you put it on your blog you are done. You can forget about earning an red cent from adsense again because their plugin does not let anything else run. Indeed.com is a scam. They offer absolutely no account closure option or plugin removal option so once you sign up you may as well forget about ever being a part of adsense. I wish I would have known this before. I wasted 4 years on a blog that is now garbage taken over by the indeed virus.
unsafe website
I posted my resume on indeed.com for local employment opportunities. After posting my email box was flooded with 50 messages per day from other employment websites. I assume indeed.com is selling information to these other websites that I didn't sign up for?
I uploaded my resume on the internet to "indeed.com" with personal information and I am convinced it's not secure.
Why... , because since then I have been receiving all this junk in my email box, and not only with job information.
I receive sexually explicit emails from individuals in my area who want to connect with me because they have seen my profile!
Plus emails from russian and asian sites looking for sexual connections.
It has taken me a full day to unsubscribe from all these sites, plus spend money to ramp up my internet security.
I want to know if any other people who have subscribed to "indeed.com" have encountered the same issue?
Yes, they harbour a lot of scam, many fake businesses post fake jobs probably to steal personal information. I had a recent experience, but I intend to report it to the police so I will not make it public yet. Indeed is an unsafe site.
indeed.com wordpress plugin virus warning
I uploaded the indeed wordpress job importer to my blog thinking it would make my site more interesting and viewer friendly for jobs, however, as soon as I inserted the indeed job plugin it took over all my other plugins I had on the site. The indeed plugin literally invaded all of my adsense codes and even my "related posts" widget. It literally took over every plugin I had installed for income and even after I turned the indeed plugin off and deactivated it, still it will not get off of my site. This has caused me to lose quite a bit of income through adsense. I have already emailed indeed to remove my account with no answer. I am horrified by this plugin. Do not use the indeed job importer plugin for wordpress. Unless of course you want your entire site to be nothing but indeed jobs and nothing else. I find this to be very virus like and they conveniently make your back office account very vague so there is no options to fix or remove this. This alone set off red flags that this company is not to be trusted! They do this knowing full well it's a problem. I found another thread from a site as a matter of fact that tries to help people get rid of this virus like plugin but to no avail. Indeed.com has made sure once you upload the plugin it's there for life unless they feel like removing it!
blocking ad posting
I work for a small business that helps low income people. I have relied on indeed for job posting because they are less expensive than other job posting sites. After months of using the site they prevented me from posting jobs and said they needed to verify the account to make sure I was posting real jobs. This part seemed reasonable. I sent them all the information they asked for and then they still wouldn't allow me to post jobs. I asked if there was anything else I could send to have account approved and then sent them everything that would verify that the company is real and not a scam. They wouldn't even look at any of the additional information.
I think it's pretty bad that this job site does have scams on it but when a business who gave them proof of their legitimacy and purpose is to help low income people tries to post jobs they don't allow it.
service
The worst job board experience we ever had as a firm. We got hooked into a trial for their job posting service by a slick salesman. The service never produced results and we cancelled within 3 weeks of starting it. Indeed hit our credit card for over $2, 300 off of 3 job posts that produced no matches. The 'resume traffic' they sent us was complete junk. When we tried to get our money back we got bounced from supervisor to supervisor with no restitution for the bad service. Your money is better spent staying with cb, monster, linkedin and dice.
Indeed.com looked okay at first. I did enter a job post valid for a few months. Strangely, this site did not have an expiry to set for the job. I still went ahead when I saw I could set it up with $0, so I expected they would drop it automatically later. Fat chance. Since they had recorded my credit card, a year later (last month) they charged it. I promptly stop payment and this triggered them to send an invoice and have a representative emailing. I looked on their website and deleted the job post and tried to find my payment info. Nothing came up, other than their sudden fee. It was a mistake to give them a credit card number and trust them with it. I have never seen such crappy company in Canada. I don't think they should get away with this and their site should be shut down. I read today all the fraud, horrible, phoney service even, that they do and I am shocked. I suspect their positive reviews are done by their own employees. It is criminal to steal like this. The company is probably owned by the mafia. They will milk it until it is dead.
abuse call received

fraudulent deduction of charges
We have been placing ads with indeed.com for some time. Some of these ads are paid ads. There were quite a few resumes from prospective employees. We suddenly discovered that all these resumes were wiped clean including the ones that were paid for by us. Our efforts to contact indeed did not yield any results. We just got a curt reply from them saying that they are unable to restore our account and that we would not be able to get in touch with them again in this connection.
Now we notice that they have debited approx $70 from our bank account which is shown as credit in our indeed account. This is just a scam. This is a company with no responsibility towards customers and should be penalized for their irresponsible actions. We intend to move against them legally as they cannot be allowed to take customers for granted.
This is what they wrote to us when we appealed against the "suspension"
"thank you for taking the time to go through our appeal process. We have reviewed your account but are unable to lift the suspension. You are not able to contact job seekers through indeed. Suspension of your ability to contact job seekers has no effect on your ability to post or sponsor jobs on indeed. Further appeals or related communications for this suspension will not be considered or responded to. "

unauthorized charges
I opened an account with indeed.com in september 2013. I used it once but was told by my boss to not use it. I tried to unsubscribe or deactivate my account but there was no option for that. So I just thought that I will just not use that account and changed my password so no one will go in there. Since then I had moved homes.
In august 2014 I opened my own business and opened a new account with indeed.com (With a whole new email address and a whole new profile) to send invitations to possible candidates. I had given that information to my assistant to do the work for me. I received notification that my account is being charged $7 which I knew about and that was fine.
On sept. 5, 2014, upon looking at my bank account, I noticed a $574 charge on my bank account from indeed. I called indeed and they said that someone had used my account to send invitations out 574 times at a $1 per invitation. I disputed this with my bank and indeed because this account was supposed to not have been utilized besides I changed that password. The next day, that charge was removed from my bank account and my balance was restored. However, 3 days later, I checked my bank again and now that amount ($574) was posted to my account leaving me with a negative balance. Again, I called indeed and they just kept telling me that changing my password doesn't prevent anyone from getting into my account! Really?
And, on top of that, what kind of legitimate business doesn't give their clients a clear way to unsubscribe to email notifications and no clear way to deactivate their accounts?
I have submitted a dispute with my bank but is that the only way this type of unauthorized charges from this business be stopped?
customer care is hostile
As an employer paying for ads on indeed.com, I had my account falsely deactivated. Indeed did not contact me about any questions they had before they did this and then they left it up to me to submit a support ticket and figure out why. Numerous calls to customer service reps who had no idea, led to janis o'dwyer, the finance person calling me. After determining that there were no issues with my account, she defended her error, and then hung up on me. I've used indeed ads for years and honestly have never had a candidate get hired who has applied. The quality of applicants is low, which is unfortunate as we have many great positions we have needed to fill right away. I would never use their service now, as it is a waste of time and they don't care about your business. Even their most senior executive janis has no manners or professionalism.

job scam
I have put my resume on the site, and I got an emailed response for a place that I applied for. They wanted to do the interview through yahoo messenger. They sent me to a site to see the company and it is a real company (Seppic) then asked a few questions. I was told I was hired at $34.00 an hour for an 'account manager' position. I told my father in law and he did some research and emailed me saying that this was a scam. When I contacted the 'hr' person this morning and started to ask questions they got rude and I disconnected from them on yahoo messenger. They repeatedly changed the story on what the job was to where they were and the fact that I had to be up at 5 to meet with them when they said that they were willing to have me work later in the day is wrong.
The person I got the email from was jesses christina and the yahoo messenger account is [protected]@yahoo.com.

privacy breach/false advertising
Indeed.com is truly a fraud. They advertise jobs that are either no longer available or donot exist at all and are posted by scam artist seeking your personal information. I recently applied for a job that I assumed was a real. After applying I was emailed by some phony recruiter who told me that I would have to set up a yahoo account to be interviewed on yahoo messenger. Who interviews potential employees on a messenger service?! Additionally, I emailed the company to tell them that scammers are using their information to snag victims, that's when the company informed me that they didn't post a job and don't even market to my city!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I applied for a job on indeed.com. I got the job. Passed background check, etc. only to find out the pay referenced on indeed was for prior employees---needless to say I was very disappointed. I also found out I needed other items like my own tools to perform the job. This was not advertised in the job description. :(
jobs don't exist
Scam artists ! Be warned !
I foolishly uploaded my details to theses chancers in the mistaken belief they would assist in my job search. All I have received from them are jobs that are no longer current or have never been there in the first place. The first time it happened I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried contacted them to inform them the job listed was no longer current. I say tried because there is no way to contact them. That was the first warning sign all was not as it seemed with this lot. Then more and more non - existent positions began to appear in my inbox. Don't go anywhere near this mob of scam artists if you are truly serious about finding employment!
This is a scam company and must get closed
Most of the internet job boards works that way. There are no real jobs. One portal posts a (real) job and others just copy paste the same. All they want your biodata to build their database. Do not put your full address or NI Numbers on your CV. Job Portals are quickly going out of fashion. Linkedin is the new kid in town. Employers do not have to spend money with head hunters they can look for you directly.
spam, tricked into giving personal info
I recently applied for a job in solar energy, only to find out I wasn't applying for a job. I was signing up to get spam phone calls non stop for months! This is how indeed tricks people into signing up for the "customers" stupid online ads! I am livid! I am filing a complaint with the bbb on indeed.com's practices. If you have been screwed over by indeed.com, email me at: [protected]@hotmail.com
I'm starting an anti indeed.com facebook page and i'm making it go viral. How do they stay in business? Why are they not sued daily?
I agree. How did that go?
do not use this site.
I am a nurse. Put resume on indeed.com. Got a lot of spam. Unwanted phone calls. Not a single person with job possibilities. Plus my resume including phone numbers was available to everyone. This is potentially an identity theft problem. After all someone could use my references for themself. A potential employer would call my reference with my name on a job I was not applying for.
