I am trying to place a same day Costco order, thinking it would be simpler than going to Costco with my toddler on a rainy Saturday. Using the Costco site, I am unable to log into Instacart. So I go to instacart directly and attempt to log in. I try an old account but then remember they locked that account for “fraud” back in 2020 and I vowed to never use the site again….until now when it sounds WAY more convenient…which is supposed to be the point of the company….
I sign up for a new account using a different email address, place my order, and then receive a text stating my order has been cancelled. After a little digging I see that I failed to confirm my email address for the new account. So I attempt to sign up with my work email and this time, successfully confirm my email address. I place my order and immediately click the link to share photos of my ID and CC to prove I am who I say I am. Before I can finish this process, I get another text stating my order is cancelled. What a racket. I’m doing everything I can to be their customer. I’m done now. How are they still in business?!
