Italian General Consulate In London Bristol consulate office

I paid for notarisation of birth certificates of my children and submission to AIRE to register their births as italian nationals in September 2021. With Bristol consulate office and sign Luigi Lino. Nothing has happened. My payment was cashed. I have complained to the Bristol consular agent and italian consulate London repeatedly and get no acknowledgement or response at all.

It is a disgusting attitutude and level of service.

I essentially have had stolen £180 what do I need to do?

I have even requested my notarised documents be sent to me. Still no response.

Full refund? Still no response.

Desired outcome: My childrens births to be registered with AIRE Bolsena,Italy

Italian General Consulate In London Passport renewal

I have applied for my 11 year old sons passport renewal. It has taken months of pain staking communication with the consulate. They do not explain properly when you eventually get a reply weeks later. There is no friendly advice or help at all or any kind of explanation on what needs to be done if there are a few issues. I sent every thing in properly to the consulate but the birth certificate was not in Italy-BUT was supposed to be sent by another consulate which they did immediately BUT the London consulate instead of waiting just immediately sent everything back to me and told me to start over-What kind of help is this - Its shocking that the consulate is so unhelpful - WE are paying for it as well. I have had to cancel my holiday in August 2022 to Italy and I started this process in December 2021 because everything is a struggle.

Desired outcome: I just need my sons Passport renewed

Italian General Consulate In London Passport renewal

I have tried for weeks and months to get an appointment using the Prenotami site with no luck. I am registered with AIRE.

I have also tried calling at the times suggested 8.15-12.30am but again no response as the lines are always busy.

I have also emailed various consular agencies in Newcastle, Liverpool etc and again received no response.

I cannot turn up without an appointment.

Both my passport and carta d'indentita are due to expire imminently which means I cannot travel at all.

It is disgraceful to expect Italian citizens to not have up to date ID. It also means I have documents that I can use as photographic proof of ID.

What am I supposed to do?

Desired outcome: Please advise how to get an appointment as your systems are not able to deal with actually make an appointment.

Italian General Consulate In London My long stay visa to Italy arrived too late...

I am a UK 'modern languages' university student currently on my year abroad. Last year, 2021, I lived and studied in France with no issues. This year, 2022, I am supposed to be living and studying in Italy but I am still stuck at home in the UK.

The Italian Consulate - despite having all my necessary documents including flight dates/times - failed to send back my passport/Visa on time! In fact, it arrived HOURS too late to board our flight!

This has meant rescheduling flights (not easy during half term) and paying extra fees for change of date; loss of Covid travel test payments already made; loss of the family member (due to time restrictions) who was going to accompany me and help carry extra baggage we paid extra for; loss of time in which I was supposed to prepare my modules ready for the start of my course; loss of rental money for my temporary home in Italy which I have been paying for since 1st Feb...yet I am still in the UK.

The whole stressful experience the Italian Consulate has put myself and my lone parent mother through (my dad died at a very young age when I was a small child and my mum works very hard for the little we have) has caused too much distress and I would like you to:

firstly, officially apologise,

secondly, explain your 'lack of urgency' and,

thirdly, compensate my mum for the money you have made her lose by sending the Visa AFTER our flight dates.

Desired outcome: firstly, officially apologise, secondly, explain your 'lack of urgency' and, thirdly, compensate my mum for the money you have made her lose by sending the Visa AFTER our flight dates.

Italian General Consulate In London Services

Good evening,

My name is Miriam de Oliveira Padredi DOB 13/10/1982

I am facing problems to change my AIRE address. I have tried to change my address for the first time in 2019 by the old portal and after 6 months waiting it was rejected. In December, I have submitted another application and I response that some documents was missing to be completed, I knew, as I couldn't upload everything required into only 3 files, however, I have tried again and managed to upload everything that the website requested. A few days after I received another message saying my second application was rejected and if I wanted to change my address I should follow the instruction on FAST IT website "which I did ". I still can't believe they rejected my application after all the streess to put all the documents together .

Yesterday, I have submitted again the third application, still showing submitted.

I have also submitted all the documents and forms to AIRE email address as advised by the consulate officer, which I have as an evidence, I have chased them everyday and still didn't have any response from this department.

I have an appointment for March and April22 to do my Italian ID and Passaport which is expired and I still didn't have my address changed.

Ps: My AIRE is already registered in London, all I want is to change my address.

Could please, someone get back to me to help me solve this issue?

Also, if I don't get the signature from my son's father in time to issue my passport . Where do I get the Giudice tutelare form signed?

Kind Regards

Miriam Padredi

Desired outcome: Change my address - AIRE and expect responses for queries that is not in the website.

Italian General Consulate In London Inability to receive a "dichiarazione di valore"

I have paid 600 euros to have my education certificates certified and legalized.
I can't provide a letter from my school as it no longer exists and computer records were not available in 1982.
The Italian Embassy are refusing to see that this is impossible and refusing to provide me with a DOV which means I will loose my job here in Italy.
There is no number to ring and no superior officer to talk to.

Desired outcome: Recurve a DOV

JonD27 we have had the same problem. Does anybody actually work at the Italian Embassy/Consolato Italiano? If so, they are extremely obnoxious and couldn't give a damn! I am on the phone to them as I write but NOBODY has so far cared to pick up in the past 70 minutes! ANTIPATICI.

My son is a university student studying languages at a UK uni - he is NOT a criminal, which is how these Visa people seem to operate. Despite the Italian Consulate being fully aware of his flight date and times from UK they decided to send his Visa too late to make the flight.! We've lost a lot of money and time and it's caused so much stress and change of plans. Pathetic! Why would you be so cruel to these students who are just going over to your country to learn your language? I wish my son had chosen Spanish instead now - much easier and nicer people to work with.

My son is supposed to be on his 'year abroad' YET he is stuck at home in the UK missing out on the course in Italy that he has already paid for and is having to continue paying rent in an expensive Italian city for his room. No passport? No travel! I can only imagine that there is very little brain between whoever works there...if you can call it work. THESE PEOPLE ARE TOO PRETENTIOUS FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.

I too want answers AND compensation. My son's father died at a very young age when my son was in primary school so I am a lone parent working long, stressful hours trying to make ends meet. I do not appreciate despicable people as yourselves there at the Consulate taking advantage of the little we have and the good that we always endeavour to do. You should be ASHAMED of yourselves.

Italian General Consulate In London Passport renewal

Provided all information requested for 2 child passport applications including 2 pre-paid special delivery envelopes. All paperwork was returned in one of them with a request for paperwork that we had already provided and which was present in the returned envelope. They requested another pre-paid special delivery envelope. What happened to the second one that I already provided? This consulate is inefficient, incompetent and dishonest. They've stolen the second pre-paid envelope (I have proof of purchase) and have the cheek to ask for another! I've never had a good experience with this consulate. They need to be investigated and brought into the 21st century.

Desired outcome: Return of pre-paid envelope and passports processed promptly for my daughters.

Italian General Consulate In London Passport appointment

Hello,
I would really like an Italian Passport and have been trying to book an appointment for some time but it seems very hard to book one or talk to someone for any advice about how to get an appointment.
Please can I be contacted to arrange an appointment.
I have an account on PrenotMi and have tried many times to book an appointment online and via a phone call to the passport number without any luck. I can never get through on the phones and there are never any appointments available on line.
I look forward to hearing from you with some advice.
Thank you and kind regards.
Stefano

Desired outcome: I would really like an appointment so I can get an Italian passport

Italian General Consulate In London Appointments

My partner had an appointment for a new passport coming up soon, but had to go away due to a family emergency. As he hasn't been able to make a new one on the website, I tried calling the consulate. The attendant was very rude from the beginning of the conversation, said he couldn't find my data on their system, and therefore simply couldn't help me. When I started explaining the situation and asked how information about an Italian citizen couldn't be found in the consulate's system, he simply hang up, which is completely unprofessional.

Desired outcome: Make an appointment

Italian General Consulate In London Passport application

It's been 3 months since I applied for my son's passport by post (he is 10 months old). For 2 months I didn't receive any call or email about this application. But just after I contacted them lots of times, I got this email that my son's application was sent back to me as incomplete (which never happend) and that they are going to sent by email a documents checklist. I'm still waiting, I keep emailing them but no response. A few days ago I emailed the Consulate to have the documentation sent back by post, because I need his birth certificate to apply for his British ID as I need to leave the country so finger crossed somebody read that email.

Italian General Consulate In London Rude and unethical behaviour

I attended my appointment to renew my daughter's Italian passport on the 28th of June at around 4 pm and my wife came in to sign as she is not an EU citizen. The security told her to exit the building once she signed due to the covid restrictions hence she waited outside for the final procedures to be done. However, the lady at the desk said that we should call her back in to sign my son's documents (he is 11 hence we have to send them by post) to prevent us from coming back in a few weeks just to sign. When I went to the front desk to ask for my wife to be called back in they rudely asked me to leave and when I and my daughter asked them for a reason they did not give us an explanation. We live in slough, and my wife and I work a lot to support my family; hence, it was extremely hard for us to travel to London. The guards and front desk knew this as we told them, however, they still decided to kick us out which means we have to struggle again to get a day off from school, work, and to travel to London.

Desired outcome: I want a formal apology and i want my wife to be able to sign my son's MOD 2 document at home instead of having to come to London.

Italian General Consulate In London Travelling with British refugee travel document

All the airlines denied access to me (British air ways. wizz and easy jet) I lost quite a lot of money and it was so critical for me to travel on last week Friday for me and my family in Italy.

They are saying travel doc websites air lines use for visa check is not updated with this information and without that I would need a visa to travel.

This month April I went in to apply the visa i have been told this is no longer required as rules have changed from 1st of Jan 2021. This was again confirmed by consulate via email on last week Friday

I called the embassy emergency contact number she said she is not aware of any of the visa matter and she cannot help as well.

I am travelling to Italy few times a year my partner is a italian and he got second house and family there. We look after his grandma and we are all she got. I really need someone to help me sort this out. I don't mind applying for visa if that means I will get to visit italy whenever I need to be there

Italian General Consulate In London Online portal to make an appointment for citizenship

I have been trying to make an appointment via the online portal for the past 6 months to attend your office in London for my citizenship application.
I am finding the process stressful and demoralising, i am concerned and frustrated, I have tried all hours of the day and night, all I see is RED and no greens, how is one meant to arrange a appointment. It should not take 6 months to get an appointment.

I care for my elderly parents and my 10 year old son, I need to arrange travel from WALES to London, all I need is an appointment, As said I have been trying for 6 months, I have all the documents ready to come.
I have been phoning the office and no joy due to the pandemic.

I also need to do my sons application thereafter, I will need to do 2 passports applications after we have had our citizenship granted. I have lost to do, can you please arrange anointment ASAP.
I understand you will get back to me in14 days as to your policy.

Desired outcome: To receve an appoitment ASAP to attend the office in London, to obtain my application for citizenship.

Italian General Consulate In London Lack of communication, no one willing to take responsibility

In December 2020 I requested an appointment to renew my passport, set to expire in April 2021. I was informed that I was not registered in AIRE, which surprised me since I had to be for them to issue me with a passport in 2011 after a painstaking process to get my documents legalised and sent in. I was informed they did not have copies of these and I would have to go through this process again.

So I did, at my expense. Only to be informed that the Comune already had a copy and that they needed to contact the other Comune in order to complete the registration process. I asked London twice if they had contacted them that my documents had been verified on London's part - twice, no answer. So I'm out of pocket of over £100 for documents they already had if only someone in London had bothered to pick up the phone or send an email to the Comune.

I then contact the Comune's who said I needed to speak to London. London says they only deal with verification of documents. So I am stuck in a no-man's land, not knowing whether anyone is dealing with my problem or whether I'm just another faceless human in a sea among many.

I'm at the stage where I'm going to have to give up and just rely on my UK citizenship as I cannot devote more of my personal time, working on something that other people are supposedly paid to do. It seems that the London Italian Consulate have forgotten that they are supposed to be providing a service, not the other way round.

Desired outcome: I would like someone to take responsibility for my registration process and keep me updated as to the steps that have been taken, and how long it will take

Italian General Consulate In London Passport renewal

I am having the same problem as many others on this page. I am trying to renew my daughter's italian passport. Because her mother is Japanese, according to the Consulate's policies and procedures, she must attend in person to the passport office. Easier said than done. It has been impossible to actually book an appointment using one of the numbers provided. All you get is automated messages but no real help/support. It is highly frustrating and I am appalled at this shameful level of service provided, service that is almost non-existent. What am I to do to have my daughter's passport renewed? Who do I need to call? Where do I need to go? Eventually, I wrote again asking for an answer to my questions and all I got was the same automated reply email :(

Italian General Consulate In London Impossible make appointment for a new passport once that my has been stolen

Since July/2020 I can't book appointment on Prenota to make a new passport in London. They never open vacancies as they promise on website and the days get closed in Prenota without any book. I already sent many emails asking for help, I access every single day, they blocked my acesa because too many acesa and I can't have a new passport. It's so disgusting, they should work and solve this. I doubt that in 6 months they have no vacancy available for who needs. They say that they are open for emergency but any case is not a emergency. So they are no open for anything. My passport has been stolen since June/2020, I sent documentation informing that it has been stolen, I've sent email also and nothing happen. I don't know how to do it. I cannot travel to Italy and pay more for a document that a embassy/consulate should be supportive to help citizens to do easily.
