Italian General Consulate In London review: Registration

I was born and live in the UK but have an Italian father who resides in Calabria. My birth is registered with Cerzeto Comune but I do not have an Italian ID. I have been trying to register myself, my husband and son since January. I applied and uploaded documents via Aire in January this year. I was told the information had been sent to the Comune for registration. I never heard anything so my dad contacted the Comune in August who said they never received them. The consulate asked me to resend everything this week, so I did by email. They advised I need to register my son, so I sent all his documents to the Comune. They now tell me have to apply via Aire but I have already done this in January. The whole process is made more difficult by all their emails being in Italian and i do not speak Italian.

I can apply for Italian citizenship through my father, my birth is already registered there it shouldn't be this difficult. It has now been 12 months since I started the process and I have got nowhere
