I let my sister-in-law bring someone into my house to show me a product as a favor. In return for my time, I would receive the product. I'm a stay-at-home mom of a two-year-old and I receive SNAP benefits, so I don't have any income. The lady who came to demo the product was named Jasmine. Jasmine mentioned that she would check if my credit was approved to buy this $3,000 product, or I could work for the company and keep the product for free. I wasn't willing to work for the company, so I agreed to a credit check. Unfortunately, my credit wasn't good, so I would have to pay $87 a month for the machine. Jasmine then tried my friend. We thought she was doing a credit check, but she was actually asking for a loan on our behalf from a bank called Bellmount Bank, which we don't know. We signed the paperwork without understanding that it was a contract and not just a credit check. We tried to return the product on Monday, but they refused to take it back, claiming that we only had three days to do so.

I bought a rainbow vacuum for $3,000. It don't do what they say it will. They refuse to give a refund. That is a lot of money to go to the trash. Parts falling off while in use (wheels etc.) Dust blows out the back real bad to the point I have to open doors and windows. It is supposed to be allergy approved so nothing should come out the back. It is big, bulky and hard to handle. I called and asked if I could bring them the machine and get a refund and was told no after they had also taken my $400 Dyson vacuum. $3000 is a lot of money to lose just to have to go spend another $400 to buy my old vacuum back. I am really upset and feel swindled and robbed. The general manager laughed at me when I told him that wasn't right. I also told him I would go to ComplaintsBoard.com and he laughed and said they have an A+ rating to go ahead. Not only was this disheartening to know he thinks he can get away with anything especially stealing from the public. I am a lady and he being a man thinks I may back down and be able to be pushed aside. I hope when this gets to whosever desk that they understand that is a lot of money to lose, but also see how women are made to feel less than when it comes to trying a product and it wasn't as it seemed so like everyone else they try to return it. Just so happened it was a $3,000 vacuum cleaner. Not sure of the date I purchased but is still within warranty period. Not sure of series but is the latest they had on the market.
