can not get a refund
We purchased a lounge suite from russells cash and was told 2 days for delivery - well we also pay the delivery charges so it is no surprise. The long weekend was coming and we confirmed we will have the lounge suite by wednesday. We have received no calls so we called and eventually someone called us on wednesday and said that they will try and deliver on friday - we cancelled the order as we were getting visitors and needed a lounge suite. You would not believe it but we are still waiting for our refund. When we needed to pay there was no issues - but to get the refund is like pulling teeth out. The excuse is that the sale is on my husbands name and I paid with my card so the account details are different - I submitted my marriage certificate as well as a letter from my husband and still nothing. I now need to charge interest.

Worst Service Received from Russells - Idutywa
On the 29th of November 2019 (Friday), I bought an Edblo Beryl 152cm (Queen) bed from Russells in Idutywa, Eastern Cape, and I was helped by Mrs Happy and Mrs Gqwetha. Because they do not have a place to store furniture, they said the bed is at their warehouse, and I paid R120.00 to have it delivered, and I was told it will be delivered on Tuesday 03 December 2019, I will first receive a call but that call never came, so I went to the store to track the delivery. When I get to the store, they ask for my cell number, they do not see the order under my profile, then they asked for receipt, I gave it to them, then they realized, they made an error, and put my order under another client's profile, the client that was helped before me, so the lady did not get out of that client's profile, to create mine, but put the order that client's profile. I was then told, Because I bought the bed on black Friday special, they cannot cancel the order and create a new one because the price has gone up. But they will try and communicate with the guys who make the deliveries. They said because the deliveries are made on Tuesdays, I should expect the delivery on the 10th of December 2019, still my bed was not delivered and then I went to the store for follow up, then they said that my bed has not been delivered because the bed is out of stock, and the warehouse is expecting delivery from supplier on Friday, 13 December 2019, then I will get my bed on Tuesday, 17 December 2019. On the 16th Of December 2019, I called Mrs Happy on **********, and reminded her to follow up on my bed, then today 17th of December 2019, I went to the store, and they absolutely had no clue whet they can do to remedy my situation and it showed that they only deal with my problem when I am in front of them, then they called the lady whom the bed was written under, and she confirmed that she has received her order. Then she received 3 calls last week about a delivery of a bed she did not purchase. I got out of that store with no solution and no confirmation as to when I will receive my fully paid for bed... This has been by far, the worst service I have ever received in my entire existence.

My monthly istallment is R 357. Every single month I have been paying Russels R 400, which means my account is in advance. When I received my latest statement it stated that only R 84 is due. Due to constraints on my finances this month I only paid the R 84 and not the full installment as my account is already in advance. Today I received a call from Russels informing me I am in breach of contract because even if my account is in advance I need to stick to the installment. What?! Which means Russels is very fast to accept my monthly payments that is far more than the agreed amount, yet if I only pay what is due ONE month, I get a phonecall. So what do you do if a person wants to make prepayments due to possible future financial constraints ? This is definitely against the CPA! Ridiculous!

Agents of Russels keep on calling me and harrass me about payment after already made arrangements towards russels for payment if this continues there will be consequenses i am tired of the Harrassments this is the last time one of them calls me and thretens me and harrassing me i can't go on like this and it happens every time when i am at work getting tired of this
delivery
Bought a bedroom suite from Russells at Van Riebeeck mall in Edenvale. Served by Lebokgang Moshobane on Monday, they said delivery will take place Wednesday or Thursday, its saterday and still no delivery. They don't even have a decency to phone me, every time they say the delivery is on its way, and up to now nothing was delivered. Customer care non existent.

My name is Yolanda Gotyana [protected] .I have purchased a wardrobe from Russells in Wynberg 3 weeks ago, and they promised to deliver the same day, unfortunately, the did not because they said the wardrobe broke down while they were putting it in the van. I have been trying to contact them and I was told the branch in Wynberg is closed down. They didn't even bother to tell me. I phoned around and find out that they are now in Parow, contacted Parow they said it will be delivered in the next two days they are transferring the funds. I cannot believe how you employ such unprofessional people every time I call them they put the phone aside and start charting, I am so frustrated. I even sent them a photo of how my clothes are lying on the floor. I was helped by a lady called Gertie and Raymond. Please help me. Before i go to Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
my account with electric express
My account was in arrears they sold the account to dmc. Now that I have settled the account with dmc they still have me on ITC with an outstanding balance. I had called JD group and asked for account details they told me that the account had been sold to dmc so I contacted them and paid it but how is it possible that my account is still outstanding with giddys electric express its giving me a bad image on ITC please advise.

My business is located in Graskop, Mpumalanga. It is situated in the Main Street next to Russell's.
It is unbelievable how the store increase their music sound system at the end of a month on a Friday and Saturday. It is disruptive and chases my customers away.
I would like to know how this issue can be resolved. Otherwise I will have to lay a complaint of noise disturbance at local SAPC
Bad custormer service
I had a very bad custormer service experience with port alfred russels, workers eat whiole helping you and showing each other things on the phone. It took me over 4 hours sitting opening an acco8unt and the day of my delivery I was told there was a mistake done that I had to go sign again which costs me money to go to port alfred. I had to cancel my account and want my money back and nothing else from them yhooooooooooo can't deal with them and I will never recomend that store to any of my friends or family members. Today the did not have papers to make a copy of my id and there was a problem with the copying machine. They need training on custormer care please head office do something.
stores telephone numbers not updated, battle to trace a product in store
I have been looking for a Sansui 42lt mini oven stove I bumped into at Arcadia store in Pretoria, now that I have money I wanted to call store to double check if it's still available. I searched for Arcadia's number, only turns out numbers listed are invalid, I called the customer complaints, all 5 numbers provided by different agents were also invalid. I lodged a complaint to their Customer Resolution Center and I have been waiting for the assigned agent to contact me as advised from email correspondence. When you ask question directed to agents all their answers are: "I am not sure Ma'am" yet these are very same people equipped with information to provide to clients. The frustration I went to getting to dial all those numbers and be getting "invalid" displaying from my phone screen, even when I was give Arcadia store manager's direct number? the mobile is off!
I am so disappointed that this is the kind of treatment we have to experience if not the frustration to encounter just to access a product one wishes to buy cash, it's ridiculous honestly!

I bought a defy fridge from Russells Lephalale on 30 November 2018 after 2 months the top part of the fridge(the chiller) started to malfunction- Thus it would get cold and then get hot until all the ice in the chiller is melted and start getting cold again which affected the quality of the food and perishables inside the fridge and some started to get rotten, on the 3 month it stopped working completely, the bottom part of the fridge the Freezer) was however working/ or seemed to be working. I reported it at the store and a person was sent to my house on 27 March 2019 to fix the fridge. To my surprise the person said the fridge needed a gas refill which did not make sense because the freezer was working only the chiller that had issues. Reference number for the call was: BA-Defy- ********** 5-0350. again 2 months later the chiller started with the same problem, then on the 3 month the freezer also stopped working and once again the my food and perishables got rotten. I went to the store on 8 July 2019 to report the issue and to ask them to replace the fridge, but I was told that they will only consider changing the fridge after trying to repair it 3 times. they said they will log a call an call me back with a way forward, till today I have not received any call. I tried to call the number they gave to me but there is no response. I am not happy and I want them to replace the fridge as I do not see any value for my money instead this fridge is causing me more expenses. I regret the day I went into that store to buy and I will never make that mistake again. I will never recommend anyone to buy at Russells ever again as they do not value their customers.
I am wondering if it is worth all the energy to post a complain on this site since Russells does not care about their customers and the service they provide. This fridge has had a gas refill twice within a year. The problem has started again. my perishable food are getting rotten and more of my money is being wasted yet russells is not willing to exchange exchange the broken fridge.

I brought a coffee table, a tv stand and twin beds at Russells Virginia in March 2019 . Of which all were delivered however the table had scratches and marks of which I called the store and complained about that . The manager called and apologized and also said I will later get a new one. I waited 3months again to be told that the new one was at the warehouse but I will be informed when it get to the store. Later I got a call stating that I will get a new one on Weds the 26June 2019. I waited for the confirmation on that day I didnt get. My mother later told me that someone at the store called and said I will get it on Friday. All that never happened today the 4th July I receive a call from the manager saying I should pick the table up. Or else he would have to call the warehouse to come and collect the one I have 1st and later get my new one. Of which he doesn't know when that will be.

Very very horrible and bad customer service in your store in Verulam am seriously don't know what are teaching your staff that customers are animals or toys they have no respect for customers the representative that was helping me seriously need a thoroughly training on customer service Mzandile Gasa I went to open an account and delivery fee was not included and he phoned me telling me that the delivery won't be delivered because the delivery fee was not charged I need to pay 520 for them to deliver it am asking him why am I suffering because this is not my fault he said it's not either our fault to so am responsible for delivering I have to pay that fee I need my delivery so the company must loose the account of 18000 because of 520 seriously you haven't hired the business minded people because you are going to loose the business through this staff member you I wonder if do they meet the target he is very very rude he supposed to be the brand ambassador of your company not to destroy the company's image
unethical behavior
I was the business unit manager of Joshua Door Kokstad, after the ccma consultation I along with the Joshua Door representative both agreed that I do not want to work at the branch but upon querying I I find that it shows that I have been dismissed and not that we parted ways by mutual consent
initially the problem started with me not wanting to comply with returning lost and stolen items back into my stock since physically these items were stolen or lost, that is when Melvin Thaver who was the Gm at that time started having a problem with me and had some one from Head office do the returns into my stock I do have all the copies of the delivery notes of the items in question as well as the paperwork which led them to want to offer me to stay on with the company

My name is Emily Nqino. I made a laybay of couches, I laybay with an amount of R14, 500 at Russell in De Aar Norther Cape. I went to cancel the laybay end of October, they said I should wait for 3 weeks, I waited yet no payment was made, I went again in the first week of December the manager said my Papers were lost. I DONT KNOW HOW. when I went there today I see that the shorp is empty there is no1 there. I dont know how should I get my money, I trusted Russell furniture I'll never ever make laybay or buy at this shop again. The only thing I want now is my money.

on the 20th of December 2018 I went to the Kanyamazane Russells furniture shop. I did not receive great service from the store manager. he was very rude and shouting on his staff in front of customers. he left me in the store during the process of my document and went to a bottle store next door. he was the one assisting me he did not even bother to assign me to someone who can assist me. A young gentle man by the Name of Glen tried to assist but the manager shouted at him.
hisense fridge poor service at russells nelspruit

I bought a fridge from Russels in Nelspruit, the fridge was delivered on the 1st of December. On the 3rd if December I logged a call as the water despenser is leaking water. The ref nr BA-hise-[protected]-3487. I spoke to Sabelo from the Nelruit branch that just doesnt do anything. He kept on telling me that he is waiting for auth from the service provider. I eventually called hisense and spoke to Lilian, lilian gave me the auth number and informed me that no one ever followed up with the call. I called Sabelo at the Nelspruit branch and gave him the auth number, when I called him today he said the warehouse refuses to accept it? This is the worst service I have ever received. What is the point in buying something if I can not use it. Can this please be resolved as this is just taking way to long.

What should one do when a Sales Manager Of Joshua doore bad credit you to the record.
She has the Furniture on my name but is not fully responsibile for the furnitures she took.
How is this my problem to be responsibile for things that are not mine plus I should use my monthly salary to make cuts to able to pay her stuff.
I do not even have the furnitures even now I should be responsible.
I even have suicidal thoughts because of this being my nightmere and I have children to support while she lives a happy life not worring.
My credit bereau is bad because of her.
The worst thing she even kept the papers.
