Joss & Main Lost shipment and slow refund

We ordered the ipswich tufted bed, and received a message that it had been shipped and our credit card had been charged. After waiting a week after the expected delivery date, i called the delivery company (Listed on my account order details) and they had absolutely no record of my order at all. I had to repeat the name "joss and main" several times before they understood what company i had ordered from. I then called joss and main and, after i spent 1 / 2 hour on hold, they told me that, indeed, the delivery company didn't have our order. They promised to do a "dock search" and follow up. Over the past month, we have talked to five customer service reps, who have all been perfectly polite, but are clearly reading from a script ("we see there have been lots of problems that should never have occurred, and we will be sure to use this in our training…") , and none of them have ever followed up with us with a resolution, even though each one promised. We have always had to call back and find out what's going on. It was very simple - they lost our order, we needed a full refund. They did send a partial refund a week ago, which we had to call back and figure out why that happened, versus a full refund (Since we never even received the item) . As of today, we have been promised (Through email) a full refund. We'll see if it turns up on our credit card statement. We are very disappointed in the customer service. Will not order from them again.

Thank you everyone for all your reviews! I will order from Ikea. After reading all these reviews and looking at their merchandise, I will not order because poor customer service is something I don't want to deal with.

Do Not Buy from this company unless you are absolutely sure you want the item. They may not charge for shipping but they kill you on the return charges. I purchase a bench for $128.95, when I had to return same they charged me $105.55 Shipping Chgs. Absolutely beyond ridiculous!

Joss and Main cancelled my order without even notifying me. There was a mistake with the pricing online and they did not honor it. IN addition, they did not even let me know why they cancelled it. I had to call up to find out what the issue was. They're terrible.

I"ve made 2 purchases with Joss and Main - both items looked great...online. The first item was a piece of junk so I returned it. The second was a $660 chest that turned out to be pressboard and one of the hinges had ripped right out of the side! I have one more order that I have already placed, but I"m expecting I will have to return that too! Don't order from Joss and Main unless you like really expensive trash!

Ordered a rug at a low price a day later they canceled the order because the price was a computer error. I called and waited on the phone for 15 min only to receive terrible service. Do not trust this company--they don't honor their prices, they don't value their customers.

I'm flipping mad with them and will never buy from Joss and Main again.This
has Not been a good shopping experience. I placed my order on May 1st.
It has been 2 1/2 months to finally receive my order from Joss and Main.
After waiting all this time, they shipped me a small when I clearly
ordered a large. The shipping receipt says large yet they shipped me a
small. I watched Joss and Main sell this item over the last few months
while others received their orders promptly I had to sit and wait for
mine because I ordered a large. Now I have received a small. This is
fraudulent and I'm angry over this entire experience. Add to that, the
zipper has no toggle so even if my pets could make use of the small, I'd
not be able to unzip this thing with out finding tools.

I bought a rug at Joss and Main for 116.95 plus 9.95 shipping. The rug arrived...from RUGS USA! Rugs USA sells the rug for 50.40 with Free shipping! Joss And Main overcharged me by $76.50 and refused to refund the price difference! VERY SHADY. Do NOT buy from Joss And Main. They are terrible and use other places to fill orders and then jack up the prices!

Joss and Main is now supporting Paula Deen, After she has admitted to using the N----- word and allegations has been made by her staff both Black and white. It says to myself and others who views your website that minority business is not valued. I will pass the info to friends, family and social websites.

Joss & Main Order Cancelled due to Processing Error on their part

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Ordered a rug from one of their limited time sales. Days after the sale had ended- logged onto my account to track shipping progress and noticed the order had been cancelled. Emailed the company for information and was told my order had been cancelled due to a processing error on their part. Email was dismissive at best and only after I emailed again was I offered $10 towards my next purchase. As if I'd actually purchase from them again. Couldn't find a number on the website- had to email the company and then wait 2 days for a response. I essentially have no recourse because the sale is over and they didn't alert me of the processing error in time to choose anything else. Will NEVER order from this site again. Buyers beware.

Joss & Main Items not shipped for months

Ordered an item; nearly a month later it was still "processing." Contacted customer service but they told me there were no cancellations and that delivery was still within their stated parameters. There are no "stated parameters" on website. No one expects to wait over a month for something ordered online. Site is also unclear about the fact that are no returns, only exchanges. I will not be shopping there again.

Joss & Main Product naming and quality

Would agree with the others who spoke of terrible customer service. Ordered two end tables called wood and labeled "Keyes Cabinet" Were actually Linon MDF tables labeled for sale at Kohl's. Here is what they had to say, " The item that we listed was purchased through the manufacturer "Linon", who likely also sells to Kohls. When we purchase the item from the manufacturer, we do have the ability and right to list in on our site under a different name, as long as all of the details and images are accurate. This item was shipped directly from "Linon." Therefore, if the box listed that the furniture was for Kohls, we have no control over that." If you are selling Kohl's brand MDF furniture than call it that! They change the names, fudge the quality in the pics and description - so that you can't research what you are buying and then you can't return. Lesson learned!

Unfortunately I just had a similar experience. This is a HORRIBLE service. The furniture was plastic (advertised as wood), took forever and they won't accept returns. My attorney husband is going to see if he can twist their arm on the return but I want to sue for an injunction on what is basically a scam.

Joss & Main Destroyed Mirror

You know they say "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" ? That's exactly what Joss & Main is. They lure you in with "sale events" and don't let you know about the quality. Most of the items they promote can be found on eBay or Overstock or Amazon for a fraction of the price. There is NO QUALITY in this place. And the service they provide is extremely below par. I ordered a large wall mirror on July 2nd, and it didn't even ship out until 3.5 weeks later. And when I received it, tho the glass wasn't broken, the borders of the circular mirror was severely destroyed and damaged and BENT beyond fixing. It basically was a destroyed useless mirror. When I tried contacting their customer service support several times, NO ONE answered. I've ordered small things from them prior to this, and have been indifferent on the quality (they were small knick knack items, no biggie) but it took WEEKS for them to even ship anything out. Two items that I had ordered arrived over a month after I had ordered it. TERRIBLE company. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. IT'S A RIP OFF AND YOU JUST END UP ANGRY AND DISSATISFIED!

In regards to Joss and Main they have superior customer service. If you email them the issue they respond quickly and go out if their way to fix the problem. I have ordered many things from them and over 90 % has been quality items. I have received a few things that the quality was questionable but if you email them they make it right. I love Joss and Main . If I believe a product is not a good price (a deal) I research it before I order it. Most of the items listed are good deals and quality pieces. I have found many unique items that cannot be found elsewhere. Uee your own judgment. Enjoy!

Joss & Main Failure to Deliver Product

I ordered a 200 lb. Entry Foyer Cabinet in early July. The shipping charges were $230.00. Supposed to be "white glove" service. After watching the Tracking from Memphis, TN to somewhere in Indiana I started to call the only numbers they gave. Memphis Shipping said after it left them, they have NOTHING to do with it! So, I waited! After 2 more weeks of waiting I got a call from Atlanta, GA wanting to schedule the delivery for August 11th! I couldn't believe it! 2 more weeks? The lady said they only deliver to my area every two weeks! I told her it had already been more than 2 weeks! She offered NO HELP! I called Joss and Main, they offered NO OTHER OPTION! So, I called back to Atlanta where I was assured a delivery today between 1 and 5 pm! So, again, I waited it is now after 6 pm NO PHONE CALL, NO DELIVERY, NO ONE AT ANY NUMBER to get my furniture delivered! What is my recourse? Joss & Main have a NO RETURN POLICY! How convenient for them! DP

Joss & Main Service and accuracy

I ordered 2 lamps, a headboard and 3 solar powered lights for the outside. I received and email that the solar powered lights ran out before my order was fulfilled and they gave me a $10 credit...that didn't help. The lamps were delivered. Beautiful and in good condition. I ordered a king sized headboard and they sent a queen. I have emailed them but haven't received a response. They sent an email that they would be back with me within 1 business day. This is ridiculous that they don't have a live person to speak with during business hours. We will see if they readily send me a return shipping label for exchange or return on this "non returnable" item. I am very frustrated. I love their merchandise, but they need to be more available to their customers.

I retract my frustration! Joss and Main were VERY responsive to my issue and contacted me right away. They are replacing the headboard! No complaints from me!

I just ordered something from Joss & Main and realized after I submitted it that I entered the incorrect billing address information. I tried to call customer service and was told that I won a free two day cruise. I tried to dial 0 to skip the prerecorded message but was transferred to another prerecording of the same message with a different voice. When I tried to dial 0 again, I was disconnected. I tried this three more times and the first live person I was able to connect with was from the Caribbean Cruise line as opposed to Joss & Main. This whole endeavor wasted at least 15 minutes of my time and I still haven't been able to correct my order.

Joss & Main Products do not. Match as listed on website/ poor return policy

After ordering a pair of lamps which lead been shown on the website with white lampshades and a white base, I received a beige base and jute colored lampshade and marred lamp knob. I contacted the "customer service" dept and they claimed it was a difference in the monitor colors. I've checked from many other monitors and the pictured clearly showed white on both base and shade. Hoping my trustworthy credit card company of Chase would help me dispute the matter, the request came back twice saying the policy terms agreed as a "member" does not allow such disputes and I need to contact Joss and Main customer service. This is absolutely ridiculous as a buyer that I need to accept as is items. I've purchased over $3000 worth of merchandise and no longer will I accept their policy terms regardless of their popularity as on online resource for inferior goods at a bargain.

I hesitated purchasing from this website due to their "no return" policy, but ordered an outdoor furnishings item anyway because I didn't have time to shop. Unfortunately, I failed to look up reviews. My mistake. While I received the item quickly, it was low-quality and overpriced. I paid $80 for an item with the claimed MSRP of $148, it was delivered from Wayfair who had the item priced at $60.92 with free shipping. The cheap plastic was warped and if it was used as advertised, a breeze would have blown it away. Never, ever again will I ever shop with these people. The merchandise was not as promoted, it was warped, they refused to accept a return and the parent company was selling it for less!

I have been tempted to purchase a wool rug I cannot find in any stores I have shopped in near my home. The only thing that prevents me from making the purchase online at Joss & Main is the fact that products cannot be returned. I feel this is very poor policy and will not contribute to this type of sales on any website. It's a shame, as I really would like to purchase the rug but if the color or product was not what I expect it would be a waste of money; as well as a disappointment. Joss & Main need to reconsider their policy. I think I shall cancel membershipi and unsubscribe to further emails.

Joss & Main Order Cancelled for No Reason

I ordered some decor items through this company in January 2012. I needed these items to stage a home which will be listed for sale March 1, 2012. The items did not arrive after 6 weeks. I attempted to call Joss and Main numerous times but the phone is picked up with no response, only recorded music playing. I emailed 3 times and received an automated response which claimed a customer service representative would reply within 24 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. It appears there is no way to contact this company. When I search the order history for my account, the order was cancelled with no explanation given. Furthermore, I was never contacted or informed of the cancellation. Poor, poor, business practices for this company. I will not buy from them again!

It's always suspicious to me when I read a post from a customer who reports happy transactions on a complaint board. Why did the supposed customer google "complaints" and feel obliged to set the record straight? It's not what any happy customer I know does. I've gotten many items online, am happy with the purchase and don't then go find complaints about the company so I can refute those complaints. Beware the satisfied customer on a complaints board.

I received a rug with only a small portion of the print that was actually shown in the image. There was no disclaimer or note that what I'd receive wouldn't look like the photo. I have been unable to reach anyone. This is unacceptable business. I'm extremely angered and will ensure that no one purchases from this company.

Hello, I am a new member to Joss & Main and read the complaints here and have to disagree with them. After reading these complaints I contacted their customer service to ask what their policy is for addressing consumer inquiries. I recieved a response (from Lewis) the same day. Additionally, my order arrived before the estimated delivery time. I also work in the shipping industry (for a postal consolidator) and was prepared for a possible delay, but I have to say J&M exceeded my expectations!

After numerous complaints, delivery was Apr 7, finally.
but missing one of the items, but NO packing invoice in box

The contact telephone number has a recorded message:
"our advisers are busy with other callers" 24/7 no-one answers phone
just leave a message

this company not ready for business, be warned

I have been waiting for my item for 6 weeks (still waiting). Customer service is a recording. I have sent 4 E-Mails, without explanation, other than the item was damaged and would be re-sent. I am tired of the whole thing and hope that I am not just out of my $650 investment. So, frustrating. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I wish that I had read the reviews first.

I bought the Declan serving cart from Joss & Main. It arrived in pieces, with no instructions and no hardware to assemble it. One of the shelves is cracked and the corner is missing a huge chunk. I called customer service and was told they would contact the manufacturer to request the items. The cart has a very awful odor, is flimsy and all the metal pieces are chipped and scrapped. What a rip off! A complete waste of money! Please be careful when you buy from this company. If you notice, they do not have any customer reviews on their site and most of the items are marked "not returnable." I learned the hard way!

I bought an expensive lamp from this company advertised to be one color and the picture shows it in that color and when I received the lamp the colors were totally off. Despite my concern, Joss and Main refused to allow me to return the item. I will never buy from them gain.

All Joss & Main customers. Please be careful with what you buy from this online company. This ottoman advertised in the picture has no similarity with the ottoman that was delivered. While the fabric in the picture looks so pretty, it is the total opposite of the item I received. While online company such as Ideeli and Hautelook are most considerate with accepting back a product advertised as non returnable, this Joss & Main does not even consider how unsatisfied you are with the product you receive. Please do not deceive your customers with retouched picture of your products. You honestly want me to to spend $321 on the product that's so unlikable and I will never use, I hope you find it in your heart to make sure your customers are happy and satisfied.
You are the most disappointing online company I ever had the chance to spend my hard earned money to. I don't wish you a happy holiday!

Retailer consistently prices items well above prices on other retailer websites. I ordered a Christmas tree from Amazon over the weekend that wasn't on sale. The following day Joss and Main had it on "sale" for 225.00 more than what I paid for it on Amazon. Will never shop at Joss and Main again!

I have nothing but good things to say about Joss & Main. I ordered 12 dining chairs for a remodel and never bothered to check the condition of the chairs since the packing boxes they arrived in seemed to be in good shape. The chairs went into storage for nine months and when my contractor and I opened them, six of the 12 chairs were badly damaged, and the other six chairs were very rocky and wobbled when you sat in them. After a couple of emails and photos, Joss & Main refunded the full amount of the order, not just the six damaged chairs. What company does that after nearly a year? I thought at most I would get a credit to spend at J&M, but a full refund? I would say that is outstanding customer service!

Just be aware that when you order large furniture items, the shipper is NOT obligated to bring the items INTO YOUR HOME. I
just ordered two dressers, and the shipper delivered them to my garage. I have to wait until my husband has time off from work so we can rent a dolly and lug these items in. When I e-mailed Joss and Main I got an e-mail back 24 hours later. The e-mail basically suggested that I find friends to help us bring the pieces into the house. I was blown away by this response. Not only is it unprofessional; it's unreasonable. We are new to our area and aren't close enough to anyone that we could ask such a favor. While I really enjoy the Joss and Main shopping experience, I don't know that I'll be spending money there any time soon.

Many items posted today on Joss and Main are listed at a price above retail. The Les Toiles du Soleil tote bags, exact color and dimension, are listed for sale at a price $14 above the retailers own website. Buyer beware and do your homework.
