tax advice
I made an online request for tax advice ( ref. [protected]) on 31 July for which I was charged a minimal £5.
the service was quite satisfactory.
However, a further debit shows on my bank statement for a service carried out ( allegedly) on 7/8 august for £35, which I did not approve and for which I received no service.!
One of the pitfalls of paying for a service by credit card?
I am looking for a refund and an assurance that this type of fraudulent activity will not be repeated. I have not yet contacted Visa, but will do so If the matter is not resolved immediately.

I was charged $46 for a question that I asked on or about the 20th of last month at the charge rate for $1. There was nothing to my recollection stating that I was signing up for a monthly membership. I called to get a refund of that charge to which the representative "Queen(may have been Gwen, she had a thick undiscernible accent)" said that I could not be refunded the charge for the membership(the one that I neither signed up for or wanted) as the cancellation period had passed.
I got the "membership" cancelled, but no dough.

Deduction of monthly fees
I contacted your service two months ago and DID NOT receive the help I required. Since then I have been charged a monthly fee of $53AUD for a service I don't use and don't want. As an Australian lawyer I find your 'service' misleading and deceitful in luring people in to sign up for $2 then charging this fee every month for doing nothing.
I want these deductions to cease and I would like a refund of $106AUD back to my credit card.

Online tech help
Since January 2022 I have been charged the amount of R599 (South African currency) by Just Answer *Tech Help 877.6 I did not sign up for this service. I requested help and was to be charged for a one off consultation. Misleading information on charges

On 8/28/2022 I found Just Answer through a Google Search. The first page I was directed to said:
"Unlimited chats, plus global travel protection and instant deals. Join for only $1. Cancel anytime."
On the first pricing page it says:
"I only want to ask one question
Ask any question you want in any category and get your answer. Then, simply cancel."
I asked one question, than cancelled my membership. I realize now that the billing page mentioned the $34 monthly charge. However, as the two pages I mentioned above were misleading, I would like a refund.

Charging without customer consent and they are hiding their true cost to you
Went on JustAnswer for quick 1 simple question, the chat bot or "assistant/sales person" act like they want to know your question is, but redirect you to payment right away and stating that it's only "5" bucks for your "trial". Once you paid, they bill you twice, one for the "5 dollar trial" and the other "60 subscription".
Wait, i didn't heard of any subscription nor the cost, and I was certainly not ok with that. The most deceitful thing is that their online "assistant/sales person" really block you away.
I canceled my membership right after i found out the true/hidden cost of this "nearly scam service" and tried to contact their customer service for refund. No answer yet.
They're acting really sketchy and poking into your pocket without you knowing !
*By the way, you need to check credit card notification to know that. They don't sent you no invoice or statement at all!

Unauthorized transaction charged to my credit card
I contact just ask on the 26th July regarding a issue with my washing machine. A technician explained how to rectify the problem via just answer and a text message. For this service I was charged $41 and was told this service would be open to me for a period of 30 days. Due to the initial cost. I have now been charged an additional $41 when I no longer want to use this service so it is an unauthorized transaction that has been debited from my Police Bank credit card.
Desired outcome: Please refund the sum of $41 and do not debit any amount from my credit card. I would also like an apology from this company.

Fraudulent charge
Like others in the comment section, I too was charged a membership fee after the initial $5 start up fee. Said I would get a refund after the question too. Purposely misleading language and then charged my account $46. Never wanted to pay a membership fee when I was told there would only be a $5 charge before membership would be implied the following month! Emailed them for a refund a complete stop to the supposed "membership" just to be explained what they were actually saying and explaining the charge. I told th to send my refund.

Unauthorised monthly bills
Good Day
I spoke to the lady online regarding a washing machine troubleshoot advise, and she advised me that she can transfer me to someone but I have to pay a certain amount which was R15 which I paid, and all of a sudden R365.04 is out of my account from last month even this month. Tried to enquire about that but no assistance what so ever.
I did not even get assistance/advise hence the next person said I need to pay and I refused.

I signed up for one question in December 2020. I didn't sign up for a membership . Yet they billed me for 20 months at 48 euro per month . Yep stupid for not checking my bank account statement. But I never had this happen before. Sheer fraud the Internet is full of simular complaints against just answer.
They scammed me for 960 euro and no refund. Its ridiculous this type of billing practise is allowed

Refund of Monthly Fees
The just answer webpage said that its $1 for a question. I asked the question but never received an answer. I also received a $1 charge followed immediately by a $50 charge on my credit card. When I found out, I immediately call the contact center and was told it was a membership charge. I then tried to cancel the membership, which I didn't know I signed up for, and the contact center person hung up on me. I tried to call back and got busy signal. I then tried to log into the site to cancel the membership and was unsuccessful.
I just found another $50 charge on card this month. I have been told the membership has finally been cancelled but I'm also requesting the two months of membership fees credited back to my card for a service I had no idea I was signing up for and have not used since I asked the very first question.
Not being clear about the membership is a deceptive practice and should be stopped.

I asked 2 questions in July to their OBGYN's, I was charged the monthly fee, $46 and then $1 for my question... come August, the day the membership was to be renewed, I canceled it, they already charged my card, so I contacted them asking for a refund, and they REFUSE to give me a refund of the $46 for the month of August! They said because I asked a question...yes, I did, in July, and that month was paid for... I haven't asked any questions or even logged into the account since that question, except to cancel it. They still refuse to refund me. I will make sure all my friends and family know to NEVER use this site!

Misleading one-time 1$ fee which actually turned to be hidden 46$ monthly..
the sign up page showed "join for only 1$ and ask your answer" and no mention of a monthly subcription.. ... and when i checked my credit card statement after 2 months turned out i was charged 46$ per month.. when i tried to chat with them regarding refund they refused ... i asked atleast to send screenshot of sign up page proving it was not leading and again they refused.

Unauthorised credit card charges
I was put through to justanswer on the 23/07/22 as I had got a new phone and couldn’t get my emails across to the new phone. I was asked to pay a £1 which was fine. I had a reply to say I would be charged £33, I replied saying “no thank you” to proceeding and paying the money, however the employee sent yet another reply over night, even though I had said no.I had already sorted it myself. I messaged to say I hope I hadn’t been charged as I had said no the help. I have just received my credit card bill and I have been charged £39. I did not agree to this, and would appreciate it if you would refund my money.

Membership charge
So the webpage said that its $2 for question for which I posted and then just when I was about to put in my billing information, in that page it self they added $49 in a sly manner and my money was deducted from my credit card. I immediately (the next minute) cancelled my membership and asked for a refund of those $49 and also asked not to reply back to my post. My JustAnswer is just beating around the bush and not refunding me my $49 after repeated requests to the JustAnswer customer care. This is a total money grab cheat and must be reported. As many other people have complained about the same thing, I know that this is unfair and unjust. My $49 must be refunded.

Stranded in an airport, I was looking for help online.
Just Answer stated it was a $1.00 to ask, so I asked.
On my 4" phone screen I do not remember seeing that this is an enrollment, and it's billed at $38/month.
Not only did I not receive an appropriate answer, I've was billed twice ($38 twice, and $1.00 twice). Why would I enroll twice within minutes? Emailing them is fruitless.
I've placed a block on my credit card company with them.
This, in my opinion, is a scam. Who knows what qualifications the person replying to you actually has, and how competent are they? Like my brother states, someone had to finish last in the class.
Stay away from this site. You are better off using Google and YouTube.

No way to cancel
Was given trial subscription to get one question answered. No emails from the company after taking my trial funds and stated they will take out fees if I don’t cancel, but provide no way or instructions to cancel by June 30th. $60 was taken from my account and needs to be returned.
I contacted customer service and advised them there was no place to cancel and they cancelled but then the system blocked me from discussing the fees just removed from my account unauthorized.
