Horrible
Horrible. They post fake prices on the internet and then wait until your loan is approved to tell you that their actual price is $3,000 more. It's really frustrating and misleading. I was so excited when I saw the price online, but when I went to the dealership, they hit me with the higher price. It's not fair at all. They should be honest from the start and not waste people's time. I wouldn't recommend Kerry Toyota to anyone.
I bought a used truck from Kerry Toyota and discovered that they did a transmission service incorrectly
I bought a used truck from Kerry Toyota and discovered that they did a transmission service incorrectly. As a result, my truck had to be taken to a shop for repairs just two weeks after I bought it. They didn't offer any assistance for their mistake, and now I'm without a car until further notice. The customer service is terrible, and most of the employees have a bad attitude. I will never shop there again, and I won't recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle.
Worst car buying experience and I'm not new to the experience
Worst car buying experience and I'm not new to the experience. Salesman had no idea what he was talking about as far as child safety seats! Windshield was scratched took 3 weeks to get them to call me to get it replaced (something that should have been done before I bought it). Now 6 weeks in and I still do not have the title or my original tag which they told me I didn't need to give them my tag but after 4 weeks they changed their mind (needed a second 30 day tag). Title, well who knows where that is or if it will ever make it to me. 6 WEEKS and they are waiting on a lean release for a vehicle that was leased thru them and returned after the lease to them?!?!?! First time customer also a last time customer and I will tell everyone I know to stay clear of KERRY TOYOTA! Oh I almost forgot Corona is to blame for all the issues I've had per everyone at KERRY? It's amazing the finance department didn't have any trouble with Corona and getting my bank to pay them quickly. Time to stop the blame game and do your job!
One star is me being generus
One star is me being generus... Our sales guy told us right away the car would be certified pre-owned, and he was wrong... we'll chalk that up to being new. Everyone else avoided direct questions with run around answers. They said there was another buyer who had agreed to the car at a higher price, once I was already well into the process. This came out of nowhere (and was certainly untrue) forcing us to buy at the higher price. But as they shifted from sales guy, to sales manager, to ominous "guy at the desk" - who we were not able to meet... no one was accountable for what anyone else said. The car was for my daughter who had already emotionally bought into the car, and they saw this. The whole process was despicable. We left with a car that they refused to detail (despite the green growth under the trunk), and a list of items they supposedly will do once service calls me "in a couple of weeks," which includes brakes and fixing the broken windshield. We paid $18,500 for this car - it is not a beater! I think I am more mad at myself for not just walking away.
I had my "new to me" Jeep (under *** miles) for less than a week and started having problems with it starting sometimes
I had my "new to me" Jeep (under *** miles) for less than a week and started having problems with it starting sometimes. Every time they checked the codes, it showed something wrong with the security system. We had to call more than 6 times over 8 weeks, but since they couldn't see the problem happening, they couldn't fix it. At first, they were helpful in trying to resolve the issue. The last call was when they told me to just let the problem keep happening until it occurs enough times to be recreated. When I first called the manager, they said they would cover all costs, including the rental, and wanted to make it right. However, when it came time to pay, the story changed. Since they couldn't fix or recreate the problem, I wouldn't be reimbursed for the rental. When I asked if I should return the vehicle, they said I could trade it in for a lower value because it had depreciated. I really like this car and don't want to return it, especially for less money. I sought guidance because I didn't think they intentionally sold me a car with issues, but instead, they treated me like I'm dumb. Clearly, their work ethics are poor. The car is still a mystery, and while the rental cost isn't THAT much, it's the principle that they told me one thing and then changed their story. Where is the integrity?
Met with a salesman who showed me the truck and claimed it had never been wrecked
Met with a salesman who showed me the truck and claimed it had never been wrecked. Due to poor lighting, I couldn't see any damage or new paint, but I did notice two chips above the left headlight and another above the passenger front window that had rust. They agreed to fix these spots and assured me it would be taken care of. The paperwork mentioned touch-up, but they reassured me not to worry. However, when I inspected the truck at home the next day in good sunlight, I found dirt in the paint on the left rear of the truck, indicating that it had been repainted due to a previous accident. I called and spoke to three different people, and each gave me a different story about the truck's history. One person said it had been wrecked once, while another said it had been wrecked twice. However, the records showed no evidence of any accidents. This is a used vehicle that they bought new and used as a loaner. The salesman and used car manager both claimed they had just received it as part of a bundle, but I suspect they were pretending not to know the truth. I later found out from another Toyota dealership that the truck had actually been wrecked three times. It's disappointing that no one at Kerry can be honest. I was promised a call from the used car manager, but he never contacted me. I dropped off the truck to get the paint fixed, which took a week, but that wasn't a big deal. When I picked it up, the paperwork stated that the two spots had been fixed. However, it was clear that the person who worked on it had tried to wet sand the dirt spots on the left rear of the cab, causing more issues with the paint. Strangely, this wasn't noted in the paperwork. The paintwork was done at a shoddy body shop with no attention to detail. The person who did the touch-up and blending of the paint and clear coat introduced more dirt into the paint. It's clear that this person doesn't believe in maintaining a clean shop. When painting a car, it's important to have a clean area free of dirt, or at least wet everything down to prevent dirt from floating in the air. Since the person didn't document what they did to the left rear panel, a floor manager accused me of lying. Instead of addressing the issue, this manager simply argued with me and came close to using offensive language towards me and my wife. It's clear that they lack professionalism. I have much more to say about this place, but it's only making me angrier. I cannot recommend this dealership. Kerry needs to seriously reconsider their management team and let everyone go.

On Oct. 12, 2020, I bought a CPO 2020 *** from Kerry Toyota using cash
On Oct. 12, 2020, I bought a CPO 2020 *** from Kerry Toyota using cash. They gave me a temporary tag, but when it expired, they gave me another one. I made several calls to get the car's title, but they said they were having trouble getting it from the owner in ***. I left a detailed message for the dealership's general manager, but they never called me back. I asked for another temporary tag, and they said they would FedEx one, but they never did. It's been 3 months, and I still don't have the title for my car. Selling a car without the title, isn't that against the law?
I bought a 2015 car from Kerry Toyota in Covington around mid-August
I bought a 2015 car from Kerry Toyota in Covington around mid-August . The very next day, I noticed that the push start button didn't always function properly and sometimes the car would start and then suddenly stop. So, I scheduled an appointment with Kerry Toyota's service department. During the appointment, they informed me that I needed to take the car to Kerry for further inspection. It took me a whole month to finally get an appointment there, and when I did, they told me that I needed to spend over $2000 on repairs. These repairs included fixing the cluster assembly, which controls all the dashboard lights and should have alerted me about any issues through the check engine light. Additionally, there were several other problems with the car (see attached document). Unfortunately, my 6-month powertrain warranty doesn't cover these repairs. We have been trying to reach out to the service manager, but now they are giving us the runaround and not returning our calls. If the check engine light had been working properly, I obviously wouldn't have purchased the car. To make matters worse, I still haven't received the title for the car and I'm stuck with temporary tags.
We bought a used 2014 *** on [protected] from Kerry Toyota for $19,981.00
We bought a used 2014 *** on [protected] from Kerry Toyota for $19,981.00. The car came with a lifetime powertrain warranty, but we had to get all oil changes, tire rotations, and maintenance done at Kerry Toyota. We followed the rules and got all the oil changes and tire rotations done on time. I asked the service department to do the transmission service and tune-up, but the service advisor said they only work on Toyota vehicles for oil changes and tire rotations. He told me to go to a certified shop. We got the services done at a certified shop, but now Kerry Toyota doesn't want to honor the warranty. Jason T, the finance manager, said the services had to be done at a Kerry dealership, even though the contract says "Our Location," which is Kerry Toyota, but they won't do the services.

I saw a mistake in the financing for my new car (2021 ***) that I bought on Friday, December 11th
I saw a mistake in the financing for my new car (2021 ***) that I bought on Friday, December 11th. I paid $2,000, but it didn't get deducted from the financed amount. After carefully going through all the paperwork on Sunday, I noticed that the financed amount was over $43,000 instead of $41,000. I got worried and contacted my sales manager, who took over the sale from the usual person. He assured me that the numbers were correct and that the $2,000 downpayment was already included in the total amount owed. Here are the exact numbers from the sheet I took a picture of. There was no line item showing the downpayment in the calculation. Selling Price - $42,419 Rebate - $1,000 Total Purchase Price - $41,419 Trade Allowance - $29,000 Trade Difference - $12,419 Doc Fee - $349 Tax - $694.54 Non Tax Fee - $67 Net Price - $13,529.54 Trade Payoff - $32,087 Balance - $43,115.54 I'm really upset with how this has been handled. I called the office twice today, leaving a message once and getting no answer the other time. It's incredibly frustrating, and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.
I visited KerryToyota in Florence on March 23 due to car brake issues
I visited KerryToyota in Florence on March 23 due to car brake issues. When I pressed the pedal, it would keep going down. I also had a noise coming from the steering wheel that I wanted them to check. The brakes were especially important because I needed to drive back and forth to South Carolina three times. Kerry Toyota told me there was no problem and that the car would stop and not go anywhere. I trusted their professional opinion. I asked about the brakes, but they said nothing needed to be changed. Fast forward to October 4th. I decided that the issue was still happening, so I took my car to the dealership where I bought it. They told me there were serious problems with the brakes. They said the pressure was not even and one disc was much more worn than the other side. This ended up costing me $658.27 because Kerry Toyota made a mistake. When I contacted Kerry Toyota, they claimed that I had said the noise was coming from the brakes and they couldn't reproduce it. I have documents from Kerry Toyota that clearly state the noise was in the steering wheel and the brakes were a separate issue. They said it's not their fault and refused to reimburse me the $658.27. I believe it is their fault because they missed the problem, which was now fixed by a different Toyota dealer.
