I purchased 3 packages of your Heritage farm's boneless skinless chicken tenders, One of the packages had a rusty piece of metal with hook shape on end in which I bite into. I had made shredded chicken tacos The piece was about the size of a tooth pick. I immediately contacted Kroger on West Saginaw st in Lansing Mi and spoke to Chris Manager, who said he would look into matter to see if they needed to do a recall. And asked did I want to be updated on the matter. I told him YES, I have not heard back from him . I told him the date on package in which I still have with the piece of rusty metal. Along with pictures. I told him I would be contacting corporate during our first and only conversation, he then offered my money back. I told him my concern is for the public this is very scary! And obveuolsy someone put that into the chicken tenders. Please look into this matter! I've worked in the medical field for 20years and can't believe the matter of which Kroger has handled this situation. I expect to hear from someone ASAP. I would love to share the picture's or actual package and rusty metal hook with You! Thank God I didn't swallow it, or need a tetanus shot, as it was wedged across the roof of my mouth .
Thank you,
Susan Truscott

I have been to three Kroger Market place stores and found each and every one clean and refreshing to walk into. The nicest young man who was stacking the carts was so very nice at the store on College Dr., Suffolk, Va and a young girl at self checkout asked if I found everything I needed...such a beautiful store and the only place I can find Heritage Farms Chicken. Noting but the best grocery store anywhere. The large Marketplace has so many nice alternatives to food, that is, utensils, crock pots and one very nice thing was a wine tasting area. I give Kroger Market Place Stores a five star rating...beautiful store, clean and fully stocked (unlike the other stores), very nice employees, (the young folks), just what I needed or wanted...
Not sure what is going on with Heritage Farms chicken wings but something is. The last few packages I bought had some dark spots on the tips and the meat on some of the wings was very hard so I threw those out. I had also frozen some of the other wings which looked okay when I froze them but upon thawing, one had a huge blood clot big as man's thumb which I knew was not there when I froze it. Needless to say, I lost my appetite and did not cook the rest. I am afraid to buy any other chicken with this brand name on it. What I want to know if what are they putting in our food now?
I recently purchased a 10-pound package of Heritage Farm chicken quarters from a Kroger store in Duluth, Georgia. I'm not sure how Heritage Farms defines chicken quarters, but I prefer the traditional cuts. The pieces of meat were chicken but they were definitely not chicken quarters - some pieces had thigh but no drumstick, some had drumstick but no thigh; some pieces had no skin, some had extra, extra skin. Maybe a butcher in training - maybe a machine malfunction? Regardless, I will not try my luck with this brand again.
Kroger brand Heritage Farms chicken, ANY of it: NEVER. AGAIN. PERIOD.
The heritage farm chicken wings have an excessive amount of talent and feathers on them. We have to pluck them before we can cook them. It doesn’t seem like there is any quality control. this is a repeat concern.
These are the worst chicken wings I’ve ever purchased. 2.5 lbs. of tiny wing pieces with tips included in the 16 piece count. Feathers galore, and they must’ve butchered these things with a hatchet. Broken bones in almost every section. $13.99 regular price, $7.99 on sale, and $5.99 with a Kroger digital coupon. If I knew what was in the bag, I wouldn’t have paid $1. Complete garbage. Prepare to eat bone fragments and feathers instead of chicken wing meat.
I'm having the same issue. There are nasty feathers all over every piece. 😡
