Warranty and poorly made furniture
I order furniture from the above company on 10/24/20 and took delivery on 6/21/2021. On 9/2022 I Called the company and stated that the furniture is not build correctly and back is falling down and there's not enough cushion in the arms. I purchased a lazy boy power recliner with message and heat on 8-11-21. The salesperson suggested that could get another color. I got a different color instead of the color on the show room floor. It was delivered 3 months later.
When my chair was delivered the arm on the right side of the chair was not padded and the seat of the chair had creases in it, and the chair leans far back. You cannot sit up straight. This my second lazy power recliner. My first chair I had no problems with, and I still have it. I called the same day to let the store in Tacoma Washington know the condition of the chair and the manager was no help and refused to come and get the chair or make adjustments, and said it couldn’t be returned. I never heard of such a thing. After about six weeks with me calling someone did come out to replace the arm of the chair but this arm is exactly like the one before, there is still know padding, all you feel is wood, and an indent on the arm. When he left, he didn’t replace the spring under the chair. I heard this loud pop and chair stop working. I called to let them know, and was told he would come back but never did. I had to flip the heavy chair over and replace that spring. They never adjusted the upholstery on seat of the chair. I can forward pictures to you.
I paid right around $1568.90 for this chair. I am at my wick end. I have been ill and I am trying to be stress free. I have been dealing with this situation for over a year. Now I am told my warranty has expired. I would like to know what can be done. I have asked around and was told to reach out to you. Thank you for helping me get the chair that I paid for.

First of all I had purchase a pair of sectional with a new employee who is no longer worker with The company right after I purchased from her. this store is located in Waco Tx. I took my time to pick a fabric during my time of purchase. They looked a way different color and feel with I saw a piece of fabric on their example book. They forgot to mention on special orders there’s no return policy of u lose 30% of your money. My reason of being so disappointed is that the fabric smelled so baldly it still have an odor after having them for a year. The fabric feels so rough and the color I picked in the store its not the same. I wanted a light color almost off white to a grey tone well at home they look yellowish. I called the store right after I received them and they pretty much said they can’t do nothing for me on special orders even if customers are not satisfied.. its a take it as it is and nothing more. I paid $6,000 before tax I’m so disappointed they couldn’t help me or understanding. I have a sectionals no one in my family wants to sit on. They so ugly in color and fabric it wasn’t what I expected now I am stuck with them. If I sell them I lose a lot of money which we couldn’t afford in the first place. I even opened a lazy boy credit card I am still pay for a Hugh purchase I hate and should of never made.
Desired outcome: I like to return them and get a full refund so I can take my business elsewhere to someone more understanding and appreciates our business
Poor quality furniture
I am reaching back out to the public to get fired up and lets band together about how La Z Boy Furniture is disgracing the Forefathers before them, one with what is called "Bait and Switch". Example :You buy Leather that should last thirty plus years and get a cheap Vinyl that "peels" and doesn't last (1) year! This is against the law and is punishable by law in every state jail time. All who had anything to do with the sale of this furniture knowingly and willingly defrauded the public will all spend time in jail for this hainanese crime.
I will continue this action and bring to the attention this act of insensitivity till it is fully resolved, secondly many people paid for additional warranty that was and is worthless there is a long list of complainants with a small percentage of resolvements, not a good ratio for this companies standards. "Fix and Fire" the people that have put you in this position, resolve your faults
Desired outcome: Wishing that the Courts will help to resolve these issues and the company will volunteer to resolve these problems completely without issue
Reclining sofa
Sofa was purchased in August 2020. At that time the extended warranty was also purchased. I took some photos to the local store in May to show the wear on one section of the sofa. I immediately was told it was fading but since it is on only one side of the sofa and the entire sofa faces windows. that did not make sense to me. Submitted a claim to ServeCo and first they said it was fading and when I questioned why just one section, they said I didn't file a claim soon enough. Terrible, terrible service from a company I thought was very reputable. No one has even offered to come look at the furniture. Unfortunately I just purchased another chair from you which I sincerely now regret.
Desired outcome: At the very least I would like someone to act as if they cared enough to come see the furniture and discuss it with me and not base their judgement on a photo. In a perfect world I would like that section of the sofa recovered.
Armchair
I bought my sectional and a chair from La Z Boy because of their "lifetime guarantee" and all their ads. There is a thick wire that started to stick out of the chair. I didn't think much of it since I've been dealing with health issues but then recently I looked and saw that the wire was sticking out of the chair about 2-3 inches. It went from the frame right out of the chair fabric. I realised that is was sticking out when I got a gash on my leg from it. Now I found out that La Z Boy's warranty is not really a "lifetime warranty". I keep getting asked if I purchased a 7 year warranty which I did at first but then cancelled it since it turned out to be a joke. I have had chairs that are much cheaper that never had this issue. Had I not paid so much money for this chair I would have put it in the garbage where it belonged. Never will I ever refer anyone that I care about to La Z Boy. This company is one of the worst I've dealt with.
Desired outcome: I want my chair to be repaired fully and free of charge
Couch and loveseat
Couch and love seat were ordered on 12/29/22 at Webster Texas store. Both have multiple defects including soft cushions. La-Z-Boy offered me $1900 to affect the damaged furniture and I refused. They sent two additional pieces that were also defective. There service inspector came to my home and said that the second set of furniture cushions are indeed defective.
Now La-Z-Boy indicates that the cushions are within spec even though their representative says otherwise. I requested a refund but La-Z-Boy has indicated that is not an option.
The local store offers no help as they are just a franchise. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere as I have discovered through other sources that La-Z-Boy is no longer making quality furniture.
Desired outcome: Refund of money
Chair. They promise to send parts to fix it but don't.
I bought a chair from Lazy Boy Easton in Columbus Ohio. It broke soon after. I paid nearly 2000$! I got insurance. They keep telling me they will send the part, but don't. They sent someone out...same story...promises but no resolution! I'm now having to document all calls for the BBB and small claims court. I bought it in Feb.. 2023. It's now june, 2023. They are the worst I've ever dealt with. In the meanwhile my disabled daughter goes without her chair! Horrible company!
Desired outcome: I want a new part or a new chair NOW. My disabled daughter needs this! It cost me nearly 2000$. It's a bad chair and I cannot get help from Lazy Boy or their insurances.
Poor quality (squeaking chair) and lack of action from Brown's Furniture manager
Purchased (2) matching recliners and a sofa March 24th from Brown's Furniture in Alexandria, Lousiana.
(1) recliner squeaked and after a few calls the local rep agreed to have it repaired. That in itself took another week where upon arrival the guy asked if we had any oil (squeaky springs). I advised no oil to a new piece of furniture. We requested the base to be replaced.
A week later guess what was delivered? When I asked what repair work was completed, his response, we added a few springs and oil.
Seriously, does anyone listen?
I called the manager, Johnathon, who advised they followed Lazyboy guidelines and it sounded as if he did us a favor in not charing for the repair guys gas/time. In 20-30 yrs of being a loyal Lazyboy customer I have to say this is the worst experience EVER.
Now the store manager advised he would pick up the top portion of the chair and give us a "store credit" of the base amount...he couldn't replace/order a matching chair, so instead we are stuck with mismatched Lazyboy's.
So disappointed! We want 2 recliners that match, that are new, that do not smell like oil, and are of quality we paid for and instead we have worthless furniture.
Desired outcome: 2 matching NEW recliners.

We ordered this chair for $2676.07 on February 20, 2023 It was delivered April 20. The next day we called the store to complain that it did not recline like in the store and was shaky. Comfort Care was scheduled for the next week on April 27 but then had to cancel because the repairman was sick. May 5, a repairman came and said he would report back to his supervisor and get back to us. We have been playing phone tag and email with Comfort Care for over a week!
There is a 5 1/2 difference from the floor when our chair is reclined versus the same model in the store. That is very significant! The chair basically doesn’t recline as it should! We are again waiting for Comfort Care to return our phone call!
Desired outcome: Fix this chair or replace it.

We have bought La-z-boy furniture for our home over the last 30 years and recently replaced our sofa, loveseat and recliner less than 2 years ago and bought the extra protection plan because it was all leather and we wanted it to last as long as possible. The chair where my husband sits has become discolored and the leather has essentially disintegrated where his head sits and we called the warranty company and they claim that because the leather has peeled away from having to clean the area (with the provided cleaner from the kit provided from the store) that it is not a covered issue. I am so disgusted with the quality of this leather and how it looks in my home. It is not even 2 years old at this date and i a embarrassed to have anyone come in my home and see this chair. I will no longer be a customer of la-z-boy if this is the quality of product they have and pay the expensive price they charge if their chair can't even last two years!

Love seat with broken recliner and a piece of sectional with slice to the leather.
We ordered leather furniture from Lazy Boy in Saugus Massachusetts.
A designer came to our house, free of charge, although we send her 50.00 through Venmo for her time.
Once she left, the store called us daily, asking when we would place the order. We placed the order and it arrived damaged on April 15, 2023
That day, I noticed the cut to the leather and reported it immediately with two photos via text. I was told Comfort Care would contact us within 48-72 hours. We have not heard from them as of today, April 24, 2023. One week later, the recliner on the loveseat would not go back into position. Again I sent a photo via text and told Jordan that we have not heard from Comfort Care.
I called the store directly and spoke to the store manager Christian, and I was told he would call Comfort Care. Still no word.
This is brand new furniture. It was delivered damaged. I would like it replaced, not mended as the leather is high end
Desired outcome: I would like the piece of the sectional replaced not mended, as it was damaged upon arrival. I would like a new love seat as this is brand new furniture and should have never broken with a week of use.
Horrible chair
on March 24, 2023, my husband and I went to LazyBoy to purchase what I thought would be an excellent choice in a chair. It is for my husband. He tired out all the recliners, there was 1 that seemed correct for him. We paid 1/3 down on the chair to be told after, it is in the making at factory, could take up to a month to get it. We said ok. On April 10th it was delivered to our house. that was quite quick, being it had to be made and then delivered to us. But it was delivered. It was a Friday afternoon, my husband sat in the chair 2 days at which time he said, this is horrible. I asked what was wrong? His legs circulation was cut off on the back side of his legs, the cushions were not as they should have been. This is a compromised workmen ship in this chair, making it so fast. He has not been in the chair now for since that day, I called the store in Amherst NY told the gentlemen my dilemma at which time he says to me, well I will call them sometime today and they will get back to you. I said I want it removed from my home. Either exchanged or a different chair. He said oh no you have to go thru this department before anything else can be done, we don't take chairs back. I have now waited 6 days and still no call. So this is the next best thing, I want this chair either removed from my house and I am not paying another 1200 for something I can not use, I already pd $625 towards. warranty
My sofa and love seat are one year old. When I purchased it I got bought the warrant as well as the pet warranty - good for 5 years.
I pen broke on the couch and stained 2 cushions - I was sent a product (Amodex) to clean it. It lightened the ink but did not remove it. I filed a claim and was told that the sofa was dirty so the warranty would not cover the ink? I was told before that only water but No products could be used to clean the furniture or it would void the warranty, so I would just vacuum it weekly or wipe with a damp cloth.
Now I was told I should use Stanley Steamer - but specify no products. I asked if the ink did not come out would the warranty fix it. I was told it would be flagged since I already filed a claim. Does this sound like a run around to anyone else? This is ridiculous what is the purpose of the warranty - I was told it can't have built up dirt — My one year old sofa is far from dirty - though I do use it.
Desired outcome: Bring cushions back to acceptable condition

It's been 3 to 4 weeks now we called The Lazy Boy store in Elk Grove California and transferred us over to customer service it is taking us over 12 phone calls to get through to anybody on customer service we ordered the part gave him the payment information so they could charge us $259. We have gotten no call backs no confirmations and no part. Every time we call they treat us like [censored] very unkind that we're an inconvenience and don't want to help us. After spending thousands of dollars on the chair you think we get better service
Desired outcome: Send me the part that I paid for so I can have my chair repaired
La-Z-Boy sectional sectional couch
We bought a sectional on 4/23/22 which took 6months to deliver. When delivered we were missing all of the hard wear. Hard wear was delivered 2months later. Left arm recliner is damage. we called San Jose service center at least eight times and still to this day. We have not got any response when they are going to come out and fix our couch. it’s pretty crazy that they would treat a customer this way when we spent over $10,000 on a couch that still does not work properly today. Crazy world we live in. no respect. If we cannot get this resolved in a timely fashion, we will take matters into our own hands with small claims court. Thanks,
