Following 50 yrs doing good business with Les Schwab, I regret making this complaint, but feel it the right thing to do.
At the time of battery failure 12/16/2024, your own shop diagnostics determined it to be a factory defective battery, yet only offered the standard time allowance for replacement, as well as only a 36% price adjustment on new battery I purchased. I do not feel this is right business practice. I think this defective battery should've been replaced in whole rather than in part.
As do many now, I live on a fixed income. But no matter the budgeting skills one may have, things like this can really wreak havoc when unexpected. I hadn't planned on the need to replace this battery for another couple years, at least.
Claimed loss: $159.08
Desired outcome: Refund of $159.08

You may consider sending a diagnostic report and your purchase details to the Les Schwab headquarters. They should either replace all defective item with new ones or pay you back based on the fact that they were not caused by normal wear and tear but rather by working conditions. Also, highlight that you have been their loyal customer for years and know them as honest business people. If this does not work out then it would be important to contact consumer protection unit in your state for help.
Thank you, I will if possible. They've got the in store diagnostic report so I don't 9know whether they'll give me a copy. Will give it a try though.
