It’s truly appalling and frustrating the lack of consideration that occurs when these new schedules are created. As a customer traveling from a smaller hub, Locust Manor, we always get the short end of the stick.
We went from having a 7:39am, 7:51am, and 8:09am train every weekday. To now having options of 7:39am to Penn and an 8:02am to Atlantic Terminal with a 12 minute transfer time at Jamaica for Grand Central. How does this work? The 7:51am barely had standing room during the summer so you remove this train when school is back in session?
I thought the purpose of building Grand Central Madison was for commuters to actually use it. How’s that feasible when the direct trains to Grand Central have been eliminated and there’s over a ten minute waiting period.
I will never understand how you raise the fare price and then eliminate service. It’s completely disrespectful to those of us who depend on the LIRR to earn a living to support our families.
I truly hope someone opens their eyes this week and realizes these schedule changes don’t meet the needs of your consumer.
