trying to cash a lotto ticket and was given a money order but wasn't told before they gave it.
I was cashing in a scratch off for 150 and it's not posted nor did the cashier tell me about the policy just at this particular store. I was told that every mapco store is different. I explained that she should have told me before doing the ticket and said that I need to find somewhere to cash the money order and then they called the police on me and my husband. attitudes
I've been going into the 3278 Summer location in Memphis, tn for a very long time. Lately things have been very different. Customer service sucks and it's almost like they can't even keep employees...but with the unfriendly attitudes especially from the tall lady that works there now. I stopped going to this location about 4 months ago but had to make a emergency stop 1 night about 2 months ago. There was this young lady there standing at the window due to the doors being locked i guess because of the area and it was well after 2 am. She was very helpful with walking back and forth with no attitude and kept a smile even while i was undecided. So from that day forth this location got my business yet again! I don't know where she's at but really would like to thank her because she gave this store some help and I'm not the only 1 that felt that way...T was her name i think but to wrap it up something needs to change about this store with the customer service. Customer service is the face of the store and if i walk in a store and get the sour face that's bad for business! As of a few weeks ago u decided to take My business elsewhere and that's a shame because i was o so faithful.

refusing to help a mentally handicapped person
twice the sales clerk has refused to sell my mentally handicapped family member. he has thrown fountain drinks away on 2 separate occasions. the first time was when i was purchasing one for him and he would not let me purchase it either. with davids issues he had told the guy he had previously been in the military and once after the clerk had discovered it was not true he said that david insulted his intelligence and that he could go elsewhere he would not serve him. david is allowed on all other shifts with no issue. matter of factly he goes there everyday and purchases items daily. when we told the clerk he was handicapped it did not matter to him. then he told a second shift clerk he didn't believe us. it has actually caused serious setbacks with davids problems sending him into severe depression. it does alot of damage to him. i am asking something be done it happened the last time today around 5 pm.
water left outside in the boiling sun
I have bought water by the case at mapco in Anniston Alabama on golden springs road. The water sits on the outside of the store in the hot boiling sun day after day. After buying the water I brought it home and chilled the whole case in the fridge for 2 days. The water has a bad mold type taste to it. I know it is from it sitting in the sun. I believe the water has some kind of bacteria in it. Mapco doesn't care about their customers safety, they will not move the water out of the sun. I bet if someone gets poisoned from this they will care, because the liability will be damaging.
the roller grill items
There has been signs on the doors for maybe a month or longer now stating there is a lunch special on roller grill items. I go to this store everyday for various thing from gas, to drinks and snacks but when I want a roller grill item there never seems to be a restocking of the grill when items are sold and when I go to my mapco store for the lunch special the grill is near empty if not completely empty. In the last month or so since I have seen the lunch special signs, I have only gotten grill items 2 or 3 times. The clerk or clerks do not keep it stocked for there lunch special on the grill items.
gas
I got gas at the delta gas station on old hickory Blvd in Lakewood tn today at around 12 pm right after I pulled out of the parking lot I didn't get 10 minutes down the road and my check engine light came on and my truck started dying and would not start back ran the engine light code and the issue is due to bad gas ie water in your gas this is ridiculous and I deserve to have my vehical fixed due to your gas being contaminated with water
lazy female employees with attitude
We live next to Percy Priest Lake and do most of our fishing there like everyone else who lives here does. A lady who said she does the ordering for Mapco on Stewart's Ferry no longer stocks the cricket box (because she's super LAZY) said she's 'afraid of them and does not want to deal with it or the people who buy them.' Please, for the love of God...and...

treatment of employee
I quit here two weeks ago & they are holding my last check when I have bills to pay just like every one else. I was being mistreated at store #3404 murfreesboro pike, as an employee. Whenever I worked with anyone else, I was always stuck on the register doing all the work while another employee would be outside for hours doing god knows what. I kept the store clean & the customers handled as much as I could. The manager halee chetney would sit on her [censor] watching tv & eating hot cheetos & pickles all day, leaving her csl all the work & would leave early to go get drunk down town to call out later on the next day saying she's been throwing up. Hang-over much? I called the district store manager steve, asking him to transfer me to another store because of my hours there at #3404 & he was very rude & disrespectful while I was trying to speak to him as polite as possible. Whenever I got paid.. With it supposed to be on a friday. My checks would get held til the week after that, after I put in my direct deposit information for them to stop sending my checks in late. I am pissed! This store can go to hell! I shouldn't even be rating y'all a [censor]ing star but it's required for every body to see this comment!
everything
Employees are rude nasty stinky. Move very slow. And always do something other than running the register. Like standing outside of the store talking to boyfriends etc. while people are walking out of the store with unpaid merchandise. I asked for service. She told me to go in and get what ever I want. No charge. Another day I went. She was talking to someone else outside. And said if your in a rush. Just go somewhere else Plus her breath stink and her uniform was filthy. Also the store smelled like wet puppies and sex The parking lots are filthy with trash. There is not one decent mapco in memphis. The worst ones are at Danny thomas and Crump and danny thomas and Vance. Near the downtown area. They are always arguing with customers about service Every time I go. Also police are always on the scene because there is always an incident at mapcos in Memphis. The reason I think they are doing so bad her is because they hire ignorant people
rude/disrespectful management
While standing in line waiting to purchase a red bull and a pack of smokes I couldn't help but over hear the new "manager" at the cummings hwy in Chatt. TN raising his voice and cussing at an employee there. I myself am a store manger for another company, and this is NOT how you treat people. I'm so displeased with the lack of respect this "manager" has for the employees, there's absolutely no reason to treat people like that. I desperately hope this 'Robert' man isn't a store manger there or anywhere very long, the employees don't derseve such treatment.
rewards program
I realize that Mapco is recovering from a rather lengthy bought of problems with the rewards program. I have refrained from patronizing MAPCO until the issues were resolved. Yesterday, I received an email stating all was back "up", and could download my reward to my card. There was a confirmation that the reward had been applied. There was also a "Celebrate Father's day greeting.
Today I went to MAPCO, filled up, and got a "Generous" reward of $.03 per gallon. I would think that for a program that has been "down" for months now, that a more appropriate discount would be at least $.10 per gallon...and keep that discount in place for a month or so rather than for just a few hours.
Hopefully this "complaint" won't end up in a virtual black hole and an actual person within MAPCO's corporate will respond.
customer service received by manager at the store
On June 9th, at 11:22 am, I sent my significant other Into the gas station to grab my daughter a bag of chips while I paid for and pumped as outside. While in the store in the check out line the cashier, who is also the manager, decided it was her place to ask him, if he thought they would still give him "those food stamps" if he was dressed in the clothes he had on right then. As he an I are supporters of medicinal marijuana, his shirt and had both had leafs on them. He states to this woman that he doesn't do drugs as neither of are, this especially hits home for me today, being the day after my brothers birthday who overdosed on drugs 7 years ago. But this lady, was rude. And these comments are unnecessary when it is not her place to state who she think should or should not have food stamps. She doesn't know me or my family, and I feel like her comments were completely uncalled for as well as discrimatory, when I said something to her about said comments she said that she was just voici her opinion that people on food stamps should all be drug tested and offered no apologies for the fact that it isn't her place to say anything to anyone in y family about her beliefs. I would like a written apology letter especially since she wanted to holler as I was walking out that she would be calling the food stamp office on me.. Again, I'm not a drug user and a mother of 5 so Although welcome anyone to test me, it was highly innaproprate behavior especially for a manager of that is in fact what she was.
cashier gave wrong card back
The morning of June 2, 2017 I went to put gas in one of our dump trucks at Mapco Express #3144 at 5325 Summer Ave Memphis, TN. As usual, I have to leave my card with the cashier. Just so happened, there was another customer there with an identical card company. When I went in, the cashier gave us the wrong cards. This created a huge issue of the other customer continuing to use my card and I was using his. When finally caught, it was a hassle of first having to cancel my card, and then trying to correct all the charges. I own a business and to not have use of my card is extremely problematic.
This cashier (an African American woman) needs to pay more attention to customer transactions than being distracted. How hard would it be to put a note on cards so she knows which pump the card goes with.
I really hope this cashier is reprimanded for this error...as I can only guess it has happened before.
customer service
I stop by the Mapco mart at 459 E Eh Crump Blvd, Memphis, TN 38126. I waited in line for 15 minutes because the cashier was taking her time. I was only buying a half gallon of milk. She cannot get the milk to scan so she tried another milk carton, but it did not scan to the computer. So, she told me that she cannot ringing up. I asked her to manually enter it in so I can bring milk home to my baby. She said she does not care. This is poor customer service.
cashiers at 1502 highway 72, huntsville, alabama
The two women that are working the cashier at 11:50am hate customers or their job. Maybe both! Terrible demeanor, they look like they just lost a parent or something bad. I was the tenth person in line at lunch time with one cashier. The shorter one with a lip piercing was wiping down coffee machines. Someone finally called her over when the line behind me reached the door. Then the heavier lady left her register with 5 people still waiting. She came out of the back with a stack of cups to restock. But they were already full. She told everyone in line to wait a minute she would be right back.
Crazy, I guess they don't realize they need customers to keep coming back to get a paycheck. Lots of people are willing to take their job if they hate it that much. Location is at the corner of Highway 72 and Old Gurley rd, Huntsville, Alabama

"will return shortly" sign too frequent. no employee.
Store -> 2103 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212 Delta Express
So, I live right down the street from this Delta Express. I probably visit the store about 7 times a week if not more. I buy everything there including fuel. So, for the 3rd time already this week, it's only Wednesday (May 24), the "Will Return Shortly" sign is on the windows and door is locked. Customers are coming and going like clockwork and it's 6:20pm, prime time.
I don't know which employee it is, but it's the same one I know that for a fact. It's not the white guy who dresses "emo-like"/ rocker style. He is awesome by the way.
I'm getting real irritated about this and it seems like this situation keeps happening more frequently. I understand employees need to go to the bathroom but these breaks are sometimes 20min long multiple times a shift it seems. I see it all the time as I drive past this store multiple times a day. I thought this was supposed to be a convenient store not an inconvenience store.
Whoever is "milking" the clock needs to be spoken to or whatever else is a reasonable punishment. I'm ready to just start going down to the circle K by Belmont University instead of chancing it.
Thanks.
gas
Yesterday I purchased gas at the Northport, Alabama location and my engine began to run erratically. Upon test after test it showed water in the gas. I've not had this problem before, it's been so much rain in our area maybe water got in the gas tanks. Somebody please contact me. This is a major inconvenience. Now my truck is inoperable. I need help getting this resolved. I have called the store, 800#, and this post is a last resort.
I have heard that they know about the water in the gas, and you can give the Mapco your information, and Corporate will call you. I bought gas there that same day, and my car had to be towed. I posted something on FB complaining on my car dealership not checking my car out, and someone posted a comment about gas at mapco having water in it, and she knew of 5 other ppl who purchased gas there that had their cars towed also.
pricing and customer service
Came to my local mapco as always. I got a fountain drink and my son wanted a snack box from the warmer. Alex rung us up. She gave me the total I asked her if the price was correct bc it came up to be more than I thought it should be. She stated "the computer don't lie". So I paid for my items collected the receipt. Looked at the receipt when I got to the car. And as I thought the snack box was rung up for the wrong price. I went back in and let her that the price was wrong. She had an instant attitude. She went to get who may have been the manager to due the refund. The manager was handed the phone by another associate. And that manager proceeded to talk to whomever was on the phone instead of seeing what was going on with me. So I had to wait for her to finish her conversation before she helped me. The manager said she couldn't get the price where it should be so just give her this...Alex had to get her phone out to calculate how much difference I actually needed back. Still with an attitude. I didn't make this mistake so why give me so much attitude. Customer service isn't for everyone but if that's your only choice do your job! The other employee let me know that Alex always acts like that. I've been coming to this location for years without having to deal with poor customer service but not today.
