after paying for a full six month membership they refuse to honor their six month guarantee
After paying full price for a 6 month membership in good faith that if needed I would be able to renew at no cost, per the written guarantee, they say that my renewal does not qualify for reasons that were never disclosed to me. My membership was active, I was making sure to comply with all the requirements yet the foreign call center operators were not helpful at all and the first of three total was very abrupt and borderline rude. Not what we consider proper customer support here is the US.
My membership is now cancelled and I will be sure to let everyone know this company is terrible to work with.
do you even screen your clients?!
I have been signed up for 2 months now... fielded a lot of emails and decided on 3 men. The first man was from Massachusetts same state as me and we started talking, 2 weeks later he said he had work In Ghana ..then suddenly he lost his wallet?! Asked me for money! Needless to say stopped talking to him, #2 also from my state was so racist! And #3 was from Boston and after talking for 3 weeks he suddenly got a job in Malaysia... this guy also lost his wallet?!?! And asked for money to get a plane ticket home?!?! Wtf is it me?!?! This I thought was a reputable site and these losers find me how!?! How do I protect myself from them on such a known site?!?! I've cancelled my subscription and will not recommend this site to anyone. Good luck people!
match.com
I just realized I was being charged for match.com. I had signed up for a 3 month subscription to satisfy my friends but didn't use this. I just noticed that I have twice been charged for the service beyond my original subscription. I called to have the charges removed and they refused to remove the charges. I asked to have the call escalated to a manager and the woman refused to do so. She said no one can reverse the charges. I insisted on speaking to a manager and she still wouldn't escalate and said she would need to disconnect the call and hung up on me. How can I escalate?
canceling subscription
I called the help line and talked with the chat line regarding getting a refund. They totally stone wall you and have no intention of refunding your money. Their customer service is located in the Philippines and they are obviously working off a script. There is no recourse to getting your money refunded to you. Totally disreputable in this regard.
Also there are a lot of fake or hacked accounts on this site.
account blocked
I have spent hours trying to get this matter resolved but to no avail...you sent a new password, 986061, but it still doesn't work. My account has been blocked for months! You obviously do not a geek that can solve this situation...tell me did you draft my account months ago and send me the receipt...this is absolutely the most stupid thing I have ever seen!
Wtf...ridiculous piece of s--- site!
This is so stupid!
Account still blocked...no explanation from anybody!
Account blocked for months...was sent a new password but it doesn't work...wtf
won't let people change password when stalkers hack into your account
I have several ex girlfriends who are cyber-stalking me online, including hacking into my dating websites to screw around with my dating prospects or send un-authorized messages on my behalf too get me into trouble.
Every other dating website I am part of (OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Christian Mingle, etc) allowed me to immediately change my password to prevent these cyber stalker ex girlfriends and others from breaking into my account - only match.com makes it EXTREMELY IMPOSSIBLE (in fact totally impossible) to change my password, this ensuring that my stalkers can have their way with me, my account, and my personal information.
Match.com sucks and they enable getting stalked online - never join their services, and if you are a member, close your account immediately, as they don't care about you, your privacy, or your safety.
There's no help from Match!
auto renewal after cancelling account
Hello, I am writing to dispute the auto renewal charge for a three month subscription which I was charged for after I had deleted/cancelled my account. I called customer service, and they would only offer an 18.01 refund even after confirming I hadn't been active on the site for some time. I was a customer for almost a year (even after having my account hacked), and I am not happy with the way this issue was handled. I am requesting a full refund. My account number was [protected]. I spoke with a customer service person named Dina on 2/22/2017.
I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.
Thank you
auto renewal
I joined match.com on Nov.21, 2016. I've had a horrible experience and went online to cancel on Feb.19th, 2017 before my subscription ended. I noticed it said it was canceled for May21st, 2017 so I called but no one was available. I called again today and they told me I had to cancel before it auto renewed on the 19th. It's a little ridiculous that I would even cancel on the 19th since that was before my end date of the 21st but I canceled anyway. My account has been charged for another 3 months without my authorization. Not only do I was a refund for the next 3 months but also for the past 3 months as you guaranteed a money back satisfaction and I couldn't be more dissatisfied! Your customer service sucks, they were rude and hung up on me twice and refused to provide a manager contact information. SCANDAL!
charged when I cancelled my subscription of $68.97
I do not remember my Match account info. But my email is [removed]. I "think" my user name was [removed].
Charge of $68.97 to match.com. I am disputing this charge as I am unfairly being charged. I called Match.com to try & resolve this charge on my own. They were willing to credit my checking account @ $18.01 only. In speaking to the customer service rep. she agreed that my account has not had any activity since mid December (I registered in Nov.) I explained to her that I had unsubscribe from the site, even answering their questions as to why I was leaving the site. The woman on the phone was very rude and did not want to hear that I had indeed canceled the subscription, probably because I knew the questions that were asked of me when I cancelled the subscription. I asked at least 10 times to speak to a Supervisor and at my last request she basically dismissed me saying “If I cannot help you any further than giving you a credit of $18.01 I am hanging up now” I am absolutely disgusted with your company for more than just this reason. I encountered a man who continued to ask me for money & basically Catfishes me. I filed a complaint & never heard from Match even stating that they took care of the issue. Nothing, was even acknowledged. I appreciate your help & understanding in refunding my account, in full as soon as possible. Should you need me to sign any documents for this dispute you can email them to me @ [removed]. If you need to speak to me my work # is [removed]. Please do not hesitate to get a hold of me as I would like this resolved as quickly as [possible. Thanks so much for your help! [removed]
Complaints Board=== please take downmy complaint. I did not realize all my personal info would show up
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
after my subscription expired
After my subscription expired in January and before I rejoined, a friend tried to contact me on the site and he tells me today 'you were taken off the site for a fake profile ' and. 'They had you as unreal profile and deleted you!-1 would surely complain!'.
How can Match.com get away with such slanderous remarks? What can I do about it.
I would like a full explanation and an apology from Match.com. And compensation for deformation of my character.
failure to give refund.
I cancelled my subscription in october, 2016, yet you charged my account again feb 6, 2017. I cancelled online again, and called for a refund. You refused to give a refund saying I must pay for one month subscription. I do not want a month subscription, and need the refund immediately. I have not used the account in months. I only received fake people anyway, and people from foreign countries asking for money. Scam! Please refund 100% of $73.52.
I have contacted the bbb, and you have hundreds of complaints that you have not answered, for the same reason, refusal to give refunds. Think about the bad name you will eventually get after so many people are not satisfied with your service.

dating services
I called match.com and spoke to two representatives yesterday concerning my request for a refund of about $132 That I had subscribed to meet other female members because I have written 14 female members with Poetry about two weeks ago but I haven't received a response from either one of them since, so I know that these women haven't received my messages even though it shows the receipt copies of my messages but still my messages haven't been received by these women. But both of the representatives said I cannot get a refund because I have written to more than one female but I told them I did not see any thing stating that members are not allowed to send messages to more than one female members but if that is true, then why didn't the website stop me from sending messages to more than one female member?because it's a scam and they never did sent my messages to these women. These so call representatives are jealous of me when they viewed my messages of Poetry and Philosopher and they knew I was not an average person, so they stopped my messages as a high profile and a womanizer, you know what I mean? All I want is my messages to be sent to these Beautiful female members because put alot of energy when I wrote them, you know what I mean? So, I don't want to give them up. Here is the phone number to match.com [protected].
I was hacked
I have been on Match less than a month somehow someone got into my account and it's hacked it I got some kind of a weird email saying that a double profile after that I'm getting all sorts of emails from members using different names are calling me different names I want to be taken off Match and I want a refund I signed up for 6 months I really would like my money back considering the fact that I've taken my profile off and I'm afraid that they may get some of my personal information. They refuse to give me a refund.
online dating subscription
Sunday, January 22nd
I decided to sign up for match.com in the hopes of finding some great connections with people. I believed that match.com was one of the more promising online dating services out there.
As I proceeded to complete my registration, I entered all information into the boxes and chose the 3 month term, (I was happy to renew if 3 months was not enough time to really get a good use of the service and meet some people) once I chose the 3 month deal a little pop up window appeared and tried to sell me on the 6 months term, there was an option to accept 6 months or decline. I went to hit decline and ended up clicking accept instead. No problem, I'll go back and fix it (or so I thought) I spent the next hour trying to find a way to make sure I was signed up for the right term. I gave up on trying to resolve the technical issue myself and decided to call customer service (which was closed) and email the office about my issue. I received an automated email stating I would be contacted within 2 business days. It is now over 1 week later and no-one has contacted me yet. "Well...why don't you call again you say?" I have called and spoken to 2 different representatives, none of which were helpful and one was actually very rude about repeatedly saying to me how they can't help me because I used the service. All I wanted was to correct this little error, of that shady little pop up that tries to get you to buy more. Now I have to pull out the big ones and blog about it, right after I've visited my sister's office at CTV, this was supposed to be a completely different piece .
Also they charged me for 6 months on my credit card... you can imagine how elated I was to see that and still no call back to help fix the issue.
Thanks Yagan and Ginsberg!
unauthorized renewal/credit card charges
I received and email confirming my cancellation for Jan 28, 2017 on the 28th I saw my credit card charged very conventionally that is a Saturday which you can not contact match until a Monday went online to complain. Finally contacted them twice once with my bank other by myself and was deferred to foreign countries both times. I was told I renewed it with then on Sat Jan 14th
notice a Sat again ? I told them noway did I do that also that I am computer literate keep all my emails and never received anything about a renewal but did get the cancellation emails? Either they had a computer glitch or they are just outright crooks preying on people especially SENIORS. I was told I used the service on JAN 28 YES I did trying to contact Match and seeing why it was active did it again today 1/30 again seeing it was active and called and complained they refused to do anything except say they are sorry and charge me until April 29th which notice again is a Saturday.
match.com
I have no idea of what the problem is because you say nothing. I have had a problem with our time.com and dropped it and went to match.com. If this problem is not resolved by 6:00 tonight I will be leaving you and will be moving to eHarmony.com and I will DUMP you and place a complaint about on Facebook. You never get back to people to tell them what your problem is at that time. Is that enough words to let you know that the problem is with YOU!? You bum bunnies !
login inability
I subscribed to the Match.com on 18/01/17, and it has been 3 days from that date that I can't log in to my account.
I did the "forgot password" which sends you a email, but didn't work. I also contacted them and they told me to send them my details which still didn't work.
I keep emailing them after they told me to give them the details and I haven't heard from them yet.
I paid a good 110USD for nothing and would no longer like service from them but rather have my money back. I no longer want to be associated with this site any longer.
my credit card
Hello, my name Dorothy Henderson,
I am having a problem logging in to reactivate my account.
I have called match.com twice today. They told me my card
isn't working. It is a capital one master card.
So I called Capital One and they told me my capital one
is good, their is no problem.
Could someone please help me out.
I was getting about 8 chats and couldn't get the chat.
My username is Writer5354
my account was renewed after I cancelled it.
My account was due to renew on jan. 3rd. I went online and submitted my cancellation, deactivation on dec. 30, 2016.
My account was charged and reactivated on jan. 3, 2017.
I called them, got a recording. I emailed customer service and got back a standard reply that I needed to go on and cancel again, so I did.
I called again a few days later and spoke to a person who claims they did not receive my on cancellation on 12/30/16.
Now that is just bogus, I can not turn on my computer without getting pop ups from match, our time, etc. So they must be able to see that I tried to cancel my account on 12/30/16. I am thinking that perhaps I did not scroll all the way down to hit the final cancellation button. I will give you that benefit of the doubt, but I will not ever use your site again and I have already filed a complaint with my bank.

been a member for 5 months suddenly I couldn't access my account
Hi I have been a member of match.com for 5 months, I wasn't really using it until last week, I was making some progress until yesterday afternoon I just couldn't get online.
They said they did not recognise my email address or my password even although I did not change it.
The problem is if you have any form of complaint you still need to get into their site to get it fixed.
I am not unhappy with the site, once your in it its great but now that I'm locked out there is no one to help you.
I tried to re register which I now realise was a mistake
