On February 8 my husband purchased a $3,400 bracelet for my birthday. I wore it once on February 10 at my party and it ripped off my dress, as it was not closing properly and it kept pulling string from my dress.
The next week I went to the store where it was purchased and complained. The manager pulled out a pair of scissors and tried to fix the latch of the bracelet. I told her this is unacceptable for such expensive jewelry. She agreed to order a new bracelet for me, saying it will arrive in 1 week.
After 2.5 weeks I finally got a call from this manager. When I came into the store I complained about the length of this process and me not being able to wear my bracelet all this time. Her answer was: I don't have to exchange this for you. At this point I left the store frustrated with this manager's attitude, and I called Customer service.
Unfortunately, Customer service was not of much help on the phone and they suggested I should write an email, which I did right away. I got a response saying they will look into my complaint but they haven't done anything. They keep saying they were not able to reach the store where I purchased the jewelry.
In the meantime I went back to the store and dealt with another sales person, and asked to see the bracelet that was ordered for me. I noticed a small scratch on this bracelet and I refused to do the exchange. I was so frustrated with this store, I wanted to return my bracelet and not see them again. The sales person said that I can't return it because it was worn, even though they sold it to me defective. She offered to order another bracelet, hopefully brand new this time.
In the meantime it has been a month since we purchased this bracelet and I'm still not able to wear it. I asked the Customer service to send me to deal with another store, as this store is of a low quality, including the sales people. They keep sending me emails saying they were not able to contact the store.
Desired outcome: I need a brand new bracelet and a compensation for my damaged dress due to the faulty bracelet.
