Midas service

I have a 2006 pontiac g6. Went to midas in memphis on sycamore view to get an oil change tire rotation and alignment. After 4 hours of being there they finally got it done. When i went to my car the door lock was broken. Of course none of the employees owned up to it. So the manager tried to brush me off my super glueing the piece. After talking reason with her she agreed to get the part fixed. 2 weeks later she still hadnt contacted me witg the part so i contacted them and somehow they were under new management. The new manager agreed to fix it. That took another 2 weeks for them to get the part. Then i just agreed to leave the car there. So once i finally got the car it had been another week. When i went to pick it up the hinge on that same door wasn't attaching to the car so that the door would. I made them agree to fix that. They said it was probably just a spring that went missing. Now over 7 weeks into this they car calling me telling me i need a whole new door lock aculator which i have to pay 400 dollars for. I am furious. This is something that has never given me problems until then. I need to be compensated some type of way for the time ive spent dealing with these people

I can see why these folks are so upset.. I have a 2002 blazer, 56.000 miles, mint condition. I had my 1st new muffler installed at midas and just recently had my 4th put on. The manager was rude and complaining about the fact they were having to put another one on. I originally told them, unless I had an accident, I would die owning that blazer. lol After the work and a lot of hassle with the new manager getting the right part, I kept having a noise, when I went to my GM Certified mechanic today, he showed me the strap they put on that was causing the noise. The original strap looks nothing like this, appears to be something jury rigged by the mechanic? Now I will need to deal with a rude, ornery manager named Nadine who has no respect for the customer. As it was, it took 3hrs. the 1st day and a return trip 2 days later to get the muffler put on. If you don't want to do it right MIDAS< stop offering the special. Margaret

Midas car totaled when brakes failed after brakes done at midas bothell, wa

New tires, brakes, alignment and oil change done at Midas in Bothell WA on May 31, 2017 Brake fluid filled to very top of reservoir. On June 8th in rush hour traffic on the freeway, traffic went from 50 mph to 0 out of nowhere. I hit the brake pedal and it went straight to the floor. No slowing at all. Swerved to avoid collision with back end of car in front of me but could not clear it. My passenger side front end smashed the drivers side back end of the man's car at 45+ mph. I had spent nearly $4000k at this shop in about 6 months and now my new (used) car would be totaled due to the thousands of dollars it would cost to repair the damage.

I sustained multiple injuries from the accident which cost over $17, 000.00 in medical bills. Including fractures ribs, bruised pelvis, and a head trauma. I lost my career due to the unplanned time off work from the head injury. When I contacted Midas they told me it was not a problem with the brakes, but me following the car in front of me too closely. When I responded to that comment the manager tried to convince me it was the ABS kicking in. I know what it feels like when ABS is active and there was no indication this was what had happened. The pedal was soft as if nothing was there.

Midas refuses to take responsibility for a bad brake job and to top it, the oil change they charged me for was never done. When I asked about it the manager told me it must have been overlooked. I had told reminded him when he called to let me know the car was ready to pick up. He said to give them an hour so they could complete it. I got another call just 10 minutes later to let me know it was done. It has never been done! The manager did tell me they would be happy to do an oil change at no charge if I would like to bring the car to them. Funny, the freakin car was totaled!

I contacted the corporate office to report this and was transferred to the store manager - the one that denies everything and tries to make me out to be an idiot. I want Midas to accept the screwed up brake job, repay me the cost of repairs on my vehicle along with the fees to get a salvaged title and reimburse me for all of my medical bills. I have had mechanics look at the vehicle to see if the work I was charged for prior had been done and there are deacrepencies there as well. I would never return to Midas for work on my vehicles again as they don't seem to care about the customer and our safety. They refuse to make this right and I am extremely disgusted by their lack of ethics. I oils not likely recommend them to anyone and if I continue to be dismissed by the company I am willing to take legal matters against the company. Not my style but something must be done to rectify this mess.

Midas oil change

Went in to get an oil change and had a coupon that said 19.99 oil change. thought it was a good deal. Now i don't know a lot about cars or what goes in them. i have an older car. all i know is that i relay didn't want synthetic in my car. the man said high mileage is what i want. I'm down they know what they are talking about. In about 30 min they are done and the bill is due. i figured they might charge taxes and a small labor charge. no i walk out paying 46.92 My 20-25 dolor oil change was doubled that it was almost 50+ then i reminded them of the coupon. The man didn't tell me that the high mileage oil was more. i was charged 14.84 for labor then there was a $3 Shop feel. so much for a cheap oil change. I understand i don't know cars but don't take avantige of that. For a collage student u look for the deals that you can find. the price that i payed was the same amount that i pay monthly in grocery. When something is advertised it sould stay the same no hidden fees and no tricking people into paying more.

Midas turbo charger

Earlier this year, I went to the Midas on nolensville Rd in Nashville TN. Midas charged me $3400 to replace. 5 days later my engine seized up. Replacing the engine, another shop discovered that the turbo charger that Midas put in was blown. Took turbo charger back to Midas and they gave me another one. Midas refuses to reimburse me labor costs. I had to pay labor for Midas to install a blown turbo charger. Contacted Ted, the district manager and he refused to do anything for me. I should be refunded install charges.

Midas diagnostic and repair

I scheduled to take my truck in for testing it was hard to start idling high and would only go 20 mph. They informed me that it was 70.00 for the testing but if I got the problem fixed with them that testing would be free. They ran test so they say and the only code that they said they were given was for a throttle body. It cost 1169 which I need my truck so I paid it they test drove said they fixed the problem. I drove the 10 minutes it took me to get home it still had a little hesitation but seemed to be running OK. My truck was parked until I went to work at 11 that night I got it started it up put it in drive it would not move. I turn my truck off and started it back up put it in drive it moved as I pulled out my driveway it started putting and would barely go 5mph. I called they said tow it back in cause it wasn't able to move and would fix it maybe the part was bad the guy said. I towed it they called they ran additional test now there saying I need a gas pedal assembly 500 dollar. I explained I didn't have the money to fix that as that code should have popped up in the first testing. He then called back an hour later saying my feul pump was bad so that needed changed as well I then informed him my feul pump is new as its only been replaced a few month's ago. Now I'm aggravated so I call around pricing the throttle body part which is 200 at Autozone they charged 1000 just for the part. When I told them the overcharged me they offered me 200.00. But since I was contacting my attorney they took that off the table so I been 2 weeks with no transportation and no way to get my truck out there possession

Midas diagnostic abilities & service

I have taken my car in almost half a dozen times now to get concerning sounds in my front end fixed. I've spent over $3, 000 in multiple visits but they have still not resolved my initial problem. I contacted corporate, no answer for a week, called back after a week and it took another 4 days to get a response. The problem is still not resolved. The manager of the service center said he would call me first thing today and we could get it in to be fix, waited around half the morning and had to call him because he forgot. Some of the worst service and repairs I've ever experienced.

Midas oil change: desk agent contacted me to hit on me by using my personal phone number from my customer account

I made an 11AM appointment on 8/4/18 at the Midas located at 603 US-31W, Bowling Green, KY 42101. I waited for my vehicle and made small talk with other customers, one couple in particular. After an hour and a half of waiting, I had spoken to the same desk agent a few times about a filter/cost, etc.

While I cashed out, I was speaking to the desk agent about having moved to the area from Canada and then got to talking about where I work. He had also worked in a similar field. We talked for a few minutes--small talk only.

2.5 hours after I left I recieved a text message from [protected] with the following content:

"Hello, this is Tony from Midas. I was talking with you at the counter. I am just reaching out to let you know that I really enjoyed talking with you. You have a great personality and I found you very pretty. I never do this. I am a married man, but in a strange place. I don't expect you to write back, but if you want, that's fine. Have a nice day. Regards, Tony.

I did reply--to say that 'As someone who is privy to many peoples' personal information, I find it really inappropriate that you used your customer service database to retrieve mine.'

This is creepy, disappointing and I will never return to a Midas location. How many daughters and wives and sisters give their personal information to the service desk trusting that it's collected and used for the purpose of servicing their vehicle?

I want may contact information removed from your systems, I want your people re-trained on the importance of privacy of information and I want a refund for everything that I paid at that location.

Midas exhaust system on my 2010 dodge ram

I was charged $982 for a complete dual exhaust not including Cadillac converters. I stood there for 8 hours watching three different people work on my truck. Went and got the manager twice and inform him the guy welding did not know what he was doing. Then I had to turn around and go get my own exhaust tips because they we're trying to put a pair of $15 tips on my exhaust. My exhaust is pieced together I'm both sides I've had two other midas's look at my truck since I had this exhaust put on bye Midas on 1960 in Houston Texas that is leaking at every weld on the whole exhaust system which is dual but yet they want to charge me 45 hours at another Midas shop to do inspection report in my professional opinion this is uncalled for in the manager where I got my exhaust system done gave me excuse after excuse after excuse and I gave him a choice you either fix the exhaust system by cutting it off and replacing everything new or I will take a video and file a complaint against your individually owned Midas muffler shop he chose to take my truck off the rack and asked me to leave. There's no way that you can weld over a existing weld. So I'd like to know what can be done about this problem because this is going to do damage to my truck as far as not enough back pressure from all the weld leaks I am capable of taking a video of my exhaust and I like to have this matter resolved as soon as possible my cell number is [protected] I live in Houston Texas. If you see my exhaust system and how its piece together and leaking at every joint possible you would be disgusted of the professionalism and the workmanship that this particular privately owned and operated Midas is destroying the reputation that you as a corporation build your business on and customer service it's a shame that I spent my hard-earned money to get this type of service and workmanship and what's funny is the whole time there were many their lack of workmanship and experience in that 8-hour. I stood there in that parking lot watch them very unprofessional especially the manager slash operator owner. They sure made it clear that it was going to cost anywhere to 900 + $1, 200 possibly more but as far as the professional work it's far from it please somebody contact me so I don't blow my motor up in my truck cuz I have to work I have the receipt time address of the place and everything in between thank you much Dale s Spears Houston Texas very upset customer

Midas quakertown, pa - oil change

Good Morning,

Yesterday evening 7/31/18 I stopped into my local Midas. First, time customer. I had received a coupon in the mail so was going to check out the service. I recently moved to Quakertown, Pa and I also wanted to find a new auto care facility.

I was greeted upon entrance. There was only one man there and NO other customers. It was 4:35 pm. He told me right away, when I requested an oil change that he did not have time to do it. The hours say 5:30. He was rude about it. You mean to tell me he couldn't do a quick oil change in 45 minutes. Like I said there were no cars in the bays.

I left and took my money over to Jiffy Lube. I was literally in and out in 15-20 tops. My thing is why would you turn away customers?

Thank you,

Pamela Emory

Midas tire service

I am very disappointed with the service I have received at the Midas on Sam Rittenburg in Charleston, SC. I woke up to a nail in my tire Saturday morning so I took it to the shop so they could put the spare on until the new tire arrived. It is now Tuesday, 3 whole days later and the tire just now got here. The manager never once reached out to me to let me know when the tire would be in. I had to call multiple times to find out when it would be in. It was supposed to be in Monday so I drove up there around 10:30 and he said maybe it will be in by 11:30. I go home and about my day. 2:30 rolls around I never hear from him if the truck came or not so I called. His reply was yeah I'm not sure where they are at let me call and I'll call you right back. 4 hours later I finally hear from him. Still did not come on Monday he said he would call first thing in the morning on Tuesday to see when the truck would be in. I wake up Tuesday never hear from him so I call around 10. He said truck will be in around 11. I go up to the shop around 12 (mind you I've had to ride around on my spare tire for 3 days which is not safe!) He said oh yeah truck came 10 min ago. So you were not going to call me to let me know? I am so disappointed! At this point I don't think I should have even had to pay for labor after what I went through. I had to find rides to work for multiple days because this store is unable to get it together. A tire does not take that long to be delivered. Personally I think he never even ordered it on Saturday. I am a very loyal customer and have never had service this bad. One of my best friends manages the shop in West Columbia, SC off of Knox Abbott and we are both very disappointed with this service! Shane does a wonderful job and always makes sure I have what I need on time.

Midas groupon for front brake pads & rotors was double charged

On 7/27/18I was ripped off by Midas on 9417 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115. I conversed over the phone with one of the managers. I knew what I heard in regards to the total cost but when I went to pay and pick up my car the cost jumped another $100 and the associate argued with me stating he was right and that he never said that and wouldn't give me my keys until I paid. I then really looked into the invoice and noticed there was 2 different receipts in which I was double charged for part of my work done. I want $100 withheld from the transaction as I PAID $99.99 for a Groupon the day prior to my service, for Front or Back Brake pads and this was NOT deducted, as I was informed yet WAS removed as redeemed from my Groupon account. I called and called Midas and left them a detailed VM to show them the double charge and they have been ignoring me completely.

Midas service overcharged

I was quoted one price to replace my brakes and when I got there they went from the quoted price of $190.00 to $290. I told him I was not willing to pay this and wanted to leave. The manager, Sean said he would give me the brakes for $190.00. He then insisted I needed a new radiator, my oil changed and rotaries so my $190.00 quote to replace my brakes is now up into the thousands. I told him I could not afford that and to just do the brakes. I also told him I had a coupon, this was a groupon I paid $90.00 and the rest of the cost was covered by the coupon. Sean became extremely combative disrespectful and rude. he said "what's your problem, you don't have any money ?" I said I came here to get my brakes replaced because I had a coupon and that's all I can afford at this time. I work full-time and I am a college student so I am on a budget. Sean then started telling me that if I did not get my rotors replaced that I could be driving down the freeway and not have breaks and kill someone. I asked how this was possible because I was getting new breaks and Sean became more combative and verbally abusive.
I reminded him that the number gave me on my rotors were within the legal range to drive . He was being such a bully and calling me names that I began to cry. I just wanted my car back. the brakes were replaced but when I went to give Sean my coupon to cover for the repairs Sean refused to accept my coupon and charge me full price. Sean was a bully and he scammed me. I went there simply because I had a coupon that I paid $90 for and it would cover the cost of my brakes which in the end Sean refuse to accept and charge me full price. At the very beginning of our conversations I told him I had a coupon so I had to stay within the range or what if you can get allow me to spend. If Sean was going to refuse my coupon he should have told me BEFORE the service was done on the brakes so I could have taken my business someplace else. A coupon cost me $90 plus $190 for my brakes so I ended up paying $280 for brakes that should have only cost me $90 I paid for the coupon. I plan on taking legal action because this was a scam. I would never take my car here again.

More than six weeks ago i sent a letter of complaint to your store detailing the fraud perpetrated on me by the syosset store. You don't even have the courtesy to contact me to see what the problem is.

Your lack of action speaks louder than anything you could do or say. Your lack of action shows that you are condoning the fraud being perpetrated on your customers.

Midas unethical behavior

I had some work done to my truck back in feb. When I got my truck back, I noticed my lights were still flickering and I was still having issues. Pat (owner of buffalo, ny loation on niagara st.) advised me to bring it in. I explained to him that my work schedule is extreme so it would a while before I bring it back due to the inconvenience. Fast forward to may, my truck broke down again due to the same reasons so I called him and he confirmed that my truck was under warranty an gave me the ok to bring it in. He had my truck for 2 weeks, I called to get an update on my truck, and the owner tells me that he's not doing any work to my truck until my friend (whom I call my sister) pays what she owes him. I wasn't even aware that she owed him any money until then. I later found out that he has been soliciting her for sexual favors (have all the texts), and that because she didn't comply with him, he decided to drag me into the middle of their quarrel. I have the original receipt showing that I paid him for service and he just texted telling me that when my sister makes a payment I can bring my truck back to him. I don't even trust him doing any work to my truck at this point, I just want my money back because he never fixed the issue, my friend's truck has nothing to do with mines or my business with him, and I have already been inconvenience for the last 2-3 weeks because he had my truck the whole time, and did nothing to it. I alrdy went and gott my truck back from him. I just want my money back and im on the verge of getting my lawyer involved, because I now feel harrassed behind something that had nothing to do with me. Please review and advise, I can be reached at [protected] or on my work phone [protected] ex. 2654

Midas tires

Had New Tires/inter tires rods replaced Aug. 25, 2017. Vibration occurred while driving 80 mph. Notified Midas in Pearland, Texas regarding the issue. Per the mechanic nothing was wrong but re-aligned the car. Took the car back April 2018 for more repairs. Pick-up car drove 65 mph same issue with vibration when applying on the brakes. One of the mechanic's rode with me and notice that it was the tires. Spoke w/mechanic and he said the only thing he can do is prorate tires after driving on the tires for 10, 000 miles. Asked for tread depth of the tires when I took it back was told he couldn't remember and wanted me to bring the car back after driving since it was taking in. Per the mechanic the owner told him to prorate tires but how can you prorate the tires if you can't remember the tread depth? Call Midas customer service to notify owner on June 6, 2018 and June 8, 2018 and "No" response from owner. I've paid this company $3, 000 in the last 8 1/2 months to continue having an issue. As of June 13, 2018 still have not heard from owner. All I'm asking is for the tires to be replaced w/no labor charge.

Midas customer service

I Came to Midas for a standard oil change. I was told by the mechanic, my front struts were bad and leaking needed to be changed as soon as possible The mechanic told me I couldn't tell there leaking because mine has, showed me a rubber cap up above over the struts. I had the struts ordered $250.00 set it up to be fixed elsewhere, Midas to high in cost. The mechanic I went with let me know the Midas mechanic never wrote my struts were leaking and my front struts were fine. My mechanic told me my back strut was bad and leaking I had unconvinced my mechanic, ordering art had to pay to ship back. He had to order the back strut. I had felt pretty comfortable at Midas on Beechmont until this. I believe I was definitely trying to b takin advantage of ripped off. I had not been feeling good in pain too and wasted valuable time and my mechanics valuable time. Big Inconvience as well as a big disappointment I'm sure it was specified my struts were leaking because there was no leak. I had another mechanic check the front struts as well. This was absolutely no true the report Midas showed me and explained, wrote down. When Incalled to tell the manager he kept saying I wld have to see the car check it out. No Thankyou! I may be made a fool of inconvenienced once and my personal mechanics but I will not let it happen twice. Very upsetting situation I experienced

Midas oil change at midas in seaford, ny

Same story as many others. I'm working temporarily on Long Island and I needed an oil change and new wiper blades. I had my car completely serviced before coming out here. Of course, the mechanic came up with additional items that needed to be done: radiator and transmission fluid, which I'm pretty sure I had done before I came out but I can't remember for sure, so I told them to go ahead and do it. $316 later, I got the car back. Midas seems to have a reputation for add-on charges no matter what the condition and for charging at questionably high rates. I didn't know any other mechanics, was pressed for time because I'm working 6 days, 10-12 hours a day, and was stuck. I hope Midas gets its comeuppance one of these days. Their business model seems to be based on identifying and overcharging vulnerable customers. I hope a TV station does a sting operation on them. Better yet, a government agency
