I reserved an appointment to have my 1998 Lincoln Continental Mark VIII serviced at a Midas servicing station located at 2424 Figueroa Street in Los Angeles, California. I dropped my car off on July 27, 2023, at 8:00am. When I left my Lincoln Mark VIII at the service station, the cashier told me it may take a little while but they'll get the service done. I...

I want to file a complaint well in fact I have messaged your company 3 times and left yelp reviews where you asked me to contact you and I then contacted your company a 4th time and still have heard nothing. 3/8/23 I made a left turn and my car powered down! An officer showed up and called a tow truck which towed my car to Midas in Knoxville, TN. Manager...
I had to have my car towed to the north dixie location in dayton, ohio on saturday, July 29th around 11am because it would not start. They made me wait for 4 hours on site before performing a diagnostic test which they didn't actually do because my husband and I watched them, they said it was a bad fuel relay. And because no place had any they just switched it out with one of my other fuses and that I would have to order one from a dealership. (the whole experience was ridiculous, everyone was rude. They were all bsing around smoking vapes and I was infuriated my entire time there and then the fact they really didn't perform a full diagnostic that I was charged for). I made it home then my car wouldn't start again. I in the meantime ordered the part and would come the following Friday. Fast forward to Friday and my car still would not start. I had to pay to have another person come to my house and look at the car. And it was actually the fuel pump. This could have already been discovered and already fixed yet I have to go another week without my car, because I had to order a fuel pump and I will have to have it towed to another location to be put in. So moral of the story is Midas has cost me more time and most of all more money for an issue that could have been fixed over a week ago. I will NEVER deal with them again.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the diagnostic that was not properly performed.
How do they get away with this? My location in Knoxville had zero certified mechanics lol can you imagine? Mine was the battery but for 3 months with no car they claimed it was the fuel pump then didn’t even attach it and i leaking fuel everywhere
Services
When you call your local Midas you expect transparency. Especially when there's a multi hour repair being done. When speaking to the desk associate he says I'm ordering the part for your car let's shoot for 12 noon. Now the day of being the responsible customer that I am I called to double check. I got the go ahead yes noon looks fine due to the order...

Hi I bought a Handbrake cable in Grahamstown Eastern Cape on Friday 28 July 2023 and they didn't wanna refund me 2hours after buying the cable at the Store.
Now my main consern is if a customer returns something to the Store they need to take the item back and refund the Customer. The Item was not even opened and the item is still in a resellable way.
Desired outcome: I Just want a refund thats all. No trouble
Auto repair
I had my '71 F100 towed over to the shop in Greenville, SC to have them do a brake job. What should have been a $400 bill was magically converted into an $1800+ bill when they started the "that's where the truck is taking us" routine. They found an issue with the rear differential, and I authorized the repair. Then I get a call from them saying that my...

On 2023.06.30, I went to one of the Midas branches to mount and balance a set of tires. The work was carried out as promised, but when I went to remove my wheel kit I found that the rims had several scratches due to the carelessness of assembling the wheels. I had just bought the rims, they were new and it was the first time they would be mounted with the...

Thieves, liars, expensive, backyard mechanics! I will never ever take any of my cars to them again. I will make sure to tell friends and family and even people I don't know about this place. Re: Midas Shop Located at 500 Route 17, Paramus NJ
On July 1, I brought my 2012 Subaru to Midas located at 500 Route 17 in Paramus NJ to fix a rattling noise coming from my exhaust, and to take care of a few other items with my car. I was quoted $4,024.92 to replace two catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, exhaust hardware and one muffler which was under warranty. I declined the work because the cost was much higher than I anticipated. I took my car to my local garage for a 2nd opinion, and they replaced the muffler for a cost of $202.50. The car's rattling disappeared, and the car runs quiet.
I brought my car back to Midas and informed the owner that the cost to fix my car was $202.50. I requested that they reimburse me for the cost the warranted muffler and they refused. I offered to the owner that he can put my car on his left and inspect the work that was done (i.e., replacing only one muffler) but he was not interested. For the sake of clarity - I stated to the owner that in order for me to have received the free muffler under warranty, that I would be required to spend the $4,024.92 that he quoted me - and he said yes.
Very shady business practice and I will be sure to tell my story to whomever I can - buyer beware of this Midas shop's deceptive pricing! The Midas shop at 500 Route 17 Paramus NJ is a stain on your corporate name.

I would like a refund on the services I did not need.
I am contacting your customers service department because I feel like I have been taken advantage of by your Midas repair stores. I went to the Carmichael, CA store for an alignment and was told I needed brakes and rotors for my front tires. I agreed and came the next day for service. When I filed my receipts, I found that I had just had all 4 brakes and rotors done the year before. (March 22) I looked up the average mileage for rotors and it said 30-80K miles. I only received 17K on mine. I called the Fair Oaks, CA store where I had my brakes in March of 22, He said the other store probably suggested brakes when I didn’t need them but told me he used good rotors. This is insane that I have now paid another $600. I called back the Carmichael store and told him the situation. He said he could refund the cost of the pads if I send him the paper work. I did as soon as I hung up. It is now a week later, and still no refund.
My husband usually takes care of the car duties but he is working away from home as a disaster relief worker and has been out of town for months helping other people while I am here being scammed. What do you suggest I do? Neither of the Midas locations are helping me.
Desired outcome: I would like an honest answer if I really needed rotors and why so soon, and if the rotors that were originally put in were used or low quality.

Read full review of Midas and 1 commentThe repairs done to my car and unprofessional staff
March 24, 2023. I had my car repaired at Midas I’m a navigate for the TENNESSEE JUSTI center so my voice does get heard I’m a nurse I’m not a mechanic Mike the day manager at that time showed me and taught me things as a woman that I needed to learn. Apparently he doesn’t work there anymore. According to the assistant manager Josh I’ve been back four different times to be told they’re going to repair it they’re going to take care of it. I don’t have it in text messages. I go back on Saturday and employee screams at me and tells me I’m not a mechanic you’re right I’m not or I wouldn’t be here, I contact Jason the area manager and he lets me know that he’s gonna take care of it on Monday. I’ve been trying to get to my family in Illinois because they’re sick. All they’re doing is delaying my car getting repaired letting me get screamed at that’s not acceptable. My car needs repaired and I will never return there again even for the repairs I would like the video cameras that are outside to be pulled to show the employee screaming at me for no reason because I asked questions not acceptable. Furthermore, no one there is licensed as a mechanic or has any professional training to my knowledge other than the individual that yelled at me Jason, the mechanic in the shop the others are just workers. It’s unacceptable unprofessional, and no one should have to be treated that way waiting till Monday to deal with it from the area manager is unacceptable. The employee should have been or taken care of right then and they are not post pound me getting my car fixed. I also text Steve the owner never heard back from him. I don’t expect to hear back from him. I would not refer this place to anyone after my experience, I’ve been trying to get the car fixed since April 1 with promises that continue to just be postponed. Unacceptable.
Desired outcome: My car repaired and the damage that was done to it from them, hitting it with a crowbar without asking me it’s been over a month and a half. I need to get to my family in Illinois. I will not return their.
Tire install
I was in need of a new set of tires. I purchased a new set through Midas on 4/22/2023 Cost was $1,074.22 1day and 1/2 later right rear tire went flat and had to get a tow back to Midas. Tech on duty asked me if I was told that I needed new rims when I first brought it in to them. I said no! Tech sealed tires and I asked if they could find me some rims.2...

I had rear brakes replacement done 03/11/23, noises reoccurring every time car was put in reverse, I took it back to Summit NJ Midas on Saturday 4/15/23 and explained issue to Manager (Paul) and he said he would check it out, I picked it up that afternoon and he said it appeared to brake dust causing the issue and cleaned and lubricated the brakes it still didn't sound like it was fixed.
Took it back the 3rd time a week a later 04/22/23 an it was then discovered that the brake kits used where missing parts and he would have to order new kits, this was on a Saturday, the parts did get there till Monday (2 more days lost) and they replaced the kits, still doesn't sound right, but he swears by his work and that the brakes were done correctly this time and that the car was test driven and he experienced no issue.
At this point we had lost 5 days of business because the car wasn't available for a work car. I then requested compensation for the money lost from not being able to use the car for 5 different days, he said he only authorized to compensate me $150 dollars. I demanded the name and number of Reginal Manager (Jeff Kubasak). Paul told me he didn't have his number and all could do is give me his email address and he could contact via company app? I emailed Jeff on Monday 04/24/23 to be contacted and discuss this issue.
No response from Jeff I emailed a repeated request on Friday 04/23/23 with no response, it wasn't until I went back to the store in person and talked to Paul to explain no one has gotten back to me regarding this issue. Paul promised he would contact Jeff again to have him contact me, I received and email that afternoon Saturday 29th from Jeff that he was away and he would contact me on Monday May 1st, It is now Thursday 05/4/23 and still no response from Jeff regarding this issue.
I, like you would find this customer service experience totally unacceptable. Now I have to have my car checked and fixed by someone else who can identify and solve my problem.
Desired outcome: Full refund, due lost work time and totally unacceptable customer service and follow up.
Brakes installed
March 8, 2023, I had brakes installed at Midas in Hoover, AL (1697 Montgomery Highway). The cost was $563.85. March 23, 2023 (15 days after the brakes work), the brake light came on and I had no brakes. March 23, 2023, I took my car back to Midas. I was told I needed an appointment. I was given an appointment for March 24, 2023. I did not have an...

Brake service
April 22/2023 Crowfoot 141 Crowfoot Way Calgary Alberta Canada
2011 Toyota Sienna
I would HIGHLY not recommend this Crowfoot Midas to anyone.
Took vehicle is for brake problem.
$1429.82 later.
Found rear Caliper needed replaced.
Told it will also need pads and rotors. Asked if rotors could just be turned and was told they will see. Apparently they could and that will save me 300.00 plus, LUCKY I asked.
Also told it will need a brake flush.
When I pick up the vehicle The price for the Calliper were $312.45 each with NO core charge refund away over price compared to any Auto parts store, up charging for parts Midas must just keep this in there pocket.
The brake flush they broke of the font bleeder valve and could not bleed the system but still charged for the brake bleeding.
What a Joke! If you can’t do the brake bleeding why charge for it?
TRUST THE MIDAS TOUCH report:
left front bleeder broke when doing the flush. it is not leaking. customer advised
customer is advised that the parking brake cable may be sticking. Advised customer not to use the parking brake
When I left to go home parts were left on the hood that were not put back on after servicing.
Talked to John was to what do you want us to do and offered a free oil change. Which I refused
Can not believe that a company with such a well known name could rip people off like this.
Up charging for parts, Trying to make customers buy new rotors when not needed and could be turned and breaking the front Caliper value and not doing a brake flush and charging for totally wrong! I paid the bill but will never go back and will make sure my friends know how bad I got ripped off.
Estimate # [protected]
Invoice # 155327
Desired outcome: I am left with a park brake that possibly could stick and a broken front Caliper that eventually will need replaced do to them braking it.This was not brought to my attention until the bill was paid. Not impressed.
