Money Mart turned away from receiving money order

I usually go to a different location but this one was convenient and was turned away from receiving money my dad sent me. I have had money sent before as I'm sure the customer service man name farid had seen on my file and he was being rude to me about about not having my middle name included in which I was asked to tell my dad to change it on his end. I exited the business and went to another location and was helped there with no problems. When I asked the lady customer service personnel about this "middle name" she said it clearly was not needed as it was on my file that I received money from my "dad" often. When I called back to the money mart to ask the mans info. He said he was the owner and manager and he was right. I said to him I wanted to make a complaint and he would not give me his info. The time I went was 3:30 pm on Tuesday July 16 mountain time. As a loyal customer I found this quite ignorant on his end as he did not take into consideration my filed transactions therefore I am debating on returning as a customer or to go elsewhere 🤷🏽‍♀️

Money Mart repeated phone calls

My name is Cindy. I have talked to the people at Money Mart and I told them I am in a very big financial problem. I am receiving Ontario Works and that money I get from them is to pay for rent and food. I have spoken to them on several occasions about my financial state and told Money Mart they will be getting their money when I return to work. That should be in the next few weeks. I am a seasonal worker and have no other means to pay Money Mart. They will not stop calling me. They call me from different phone numbers trying to hide who they are. I am not talking to them until I return to work. I want these phone calls to stop because I am being completely affected by the stress of their phone calls which have not stopped. I want the phone calls to stop. I will sort this out upon returning to work.

Money Mart customer is not allowed

Hello Sir, Omar Badial is my name. A student from Kings University College in Ghana and I have a complaint. Please, my aunt who is in Ghana sent me money to pay for my school fees. I went there with a letter of recommendation at that time this year because my student ID was not ready. I showed it to the teller and told her my story. She agreed and gave me the money to pay for my school fees.
Recently, my aunt sent me money to buy for foodstuff because she realized I was not working here the capital city, Accra. Unfortunately, when I went there, to withdraw it, the teller told me that, the consumer is not allowed. So I called her to informed her and she told me she will let You your company knows. She went there and sent me the money again. I went there again to cash out and I had the same error consumer is not allowed. I informed her and she called Your office. She later informed me that You have blocked me because I was not having a student ID card. Yes, I understand your protection against the scammers in Ghana. But, please I am not a scammer I am a student at Kings University College. I now have my student ID card. Please, can you review my case for me? any necessary documents to prove that I am a student I will provide. I have included my letter of recommendation I used for the first time to withdrew the first money for the school fees. Also, included my passport, and now the student's ID which was made ready recently.

I hope I would be fairly be treated, considered and reviewed my case for justice.

Money Mart customer service rep at south fraser way money mart

I went to money mart in abbotsford, the one on South Fraser way. There was east Indian guy. He was very very slow. I had to send money through Western Union to my sister for emergency. When I got my turn he asked me a pic ID. I didn't have pic ID due to renewing my licence. I didn't have my passport with me. I know that I only need ID if I'm sending less than $1000. He kept asking me ID. When I explained him that I don't have to give you my ID because i'm not sending large amount. He refused my transaction and asked me to go to somewhere else. I was very very disappointed. He was very very rude. I never seen someone being that rude when they are at customer service job. I was very disappointed from this location. I'm telling all my friends not to go there. If cashier thinks that they have power to refuse customer's transaction then they need to realize that they only have a job because of customers. money mart needs to take a action against customer service rep like him. It would be helpful if someone can teach him that how to deal with customers.

Money Mart rash and rude representative.

I've been a money mart client since they opened up shop in Ottawa Ontario. I've exchanged rolled up coins for paper cash many times in the past 30+ yes. This time I'm told no to some and yes to some. Now money mart doesn't accept dimes? And won't take coins rolled in store bought paper rolls? Only plastic but "not dimes"? Since when? Very nasty rep

Money Mart taxes

I went to strathmore money mart at 9:30 am on the 30the of April to get my taxes done.. The attendant there told me she would call when it was ready... Well the day turned to the 1St of may and no call.. I went in store and found they had not even emailed it off yet... I asked for cash back should there be refund.. however they told me it would be deposited in my bank within 5 days.. Seems they do as they wish at the strathmore money mart... As I left the attendant said o... I was just going to call you.. If I do get a penalty for filing late... I will make sure I will get it back from money mart.. Count on it... The most disrespectful ppl I've ever dealt with in all my years with money mart

Money Mart needing to know my employment history in order for me to buy a money order from them

I visited the Money Mart located at 98-199 Kamehameha Hwy Aiea, HI on 12/30/2017 at 2 pm just to get a couple of money orders, and the cashier wanted to know my employment information. When I refused to give her that information, she wanted to take a picture of me?! Now I can see needing to verify my employment if I was trying to borrow money from them, but they were going to get money from me, so there was no need to know where I work at. One can go get money orders from 7-11, Times, Wal-Mart and the Post Office, and they do not ask for such personal information. Heck, none of those places even ask for your name or ID card the way Money Mart does when you want to get a money order.

My guess that this rude cashier either 1. was going to use my personal information for fraud purposes or 2. was planning on quitting so she thought she could treat customers anyway she wanted. Needless to say, this place lost my $1, 500, which I then took to the local 7-11 where I got my money orders without any questions.

Money Mart mytitanium

Had a lovely chat with Vince about the sporadic monthly fees, where they can just nail you with $6.50 when they feel like it.

Vince: Welcome to MyTitanium. My name is Vince V.. How can I help you?
Jason: Yes I feel I've been ripped off and want something done about it.
Jason: I had 77 cents taken as a monthly fee yesterday. So far my experience with these monthly fees has been all over the place. Anyways I thought it was done with, I go to my local money mart to load up $89, I come home, pay my internet, and the I try to pay $15 for my phone, but of course I can't because I got another monthly fee out of no where for $5.77 If I do not get this money refunded I will be unable to pay for my phone for the month.
Vince: Can I please get your full name, your date of birth, and the last 4 digits of the card? And is this for a Visa account or a MasterCard account?
Jason: I cannot afford to return to money mart and pay the difference plus another 3 dollars, I am on a extremely tight budget.
Jason: Jason Stanley Tymczyna, September 8 1979 Mastercard, 9704
Vince: Thanks
Jason: When I went to put money on the card I was in no way informed that I had to pay extra monthly fees. I looked at my account before I left and there was no indication whatsoever that I owed over $5.
Jason: DR:MONTHLY FEE - FEE System $0.77 This was the last transaction on record, why did I have to pay $5.77 out of no where?
Vince: Looks like a partial amount came off and then it collected the rest of it.
Jason: Why have there been months I've only paid less than a dollar for monthly fee, and not anything else? This seems to be a "We'll take over 6 dollars when we feel like it" system and it's bs.
Jason: I want my $5.77 refunded or I will never use this service again.
Vince: well it's not being refunded as it's a valid fee. the funds were owed and they were collected on
Jason: There should be clear indications of when and how much is required for a monthly fee, it should not be sporadic and spontaneous the way it seems to be.
Jason: I was not made aware of these funds.
Jason: If I owed $5.77 there should be an indication on my account.
Jason: Great now I can't have phone service this month, thanks a lot.
Vince: it's not spontaneous and sporadic
Jason: Yes it has been.
Vince: and your fee date has always been the first of the month
Jason: 12/1/2015 DR:MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE - FEE System $6.50
Vince: and if it's not there the next time you load it it will then take it
Jason: DR:MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE - FEE System $2.53
Jason: 2/1/2016 DR:MONTHLY FEE - FEE System $0.29
Jason: 3/1/2016 DR:MONTHLY FEE - FEE System $0.77
Jason: The 2 months previous I only paid what was on my card.
Vince: Should have definitely grabbed the additional amount that was owing when you next loaded it
Jason: The monthly fee has been different amounts each month, so how am I to anticipate what to pay? Not even the cashiers have any idea what is owed. I want my $5.77 refunded. If you do not have the authority I would like this escalated to someone that does please.
Jason: It says that 77 cents was taken for this months fee, it should say if there is a remaining fee but it does not. One is left to assume that 77 cents covered the fee.
Vince: Well the MSF is listed on the website in the cardholder agreement
Vince: So you should be able to figure the math out yourself
Jason: Not good enough. I want this elevated to someone with more authority please.
Vince: You can call into Customer Service at [protected]
Jason: I go two months only paying whatever is left on my card, then out of nowhere I get over $5 taken off. That seems ok to you?
Vince: you should actually have paid more
Jason: I will, and you can expect an appropriate review from me.
Vince: you should have paid the difference between the 0.77 for 03/01/16, which you have
Vince: and you should have also paid the difference for back in february
Vince: which you have not
Vince: so if anything, we should end up charging you more money as the msf from february is still owing
Jason: Just close the chat vince.
Jason: You get off on this don't you?
Jason: Compensating much>
Vince: good bye. you're blocked from chat as well
Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.

Every time I have had to deal with customer service for titanium mastercard, they have never struck me as professional. One time I heard chickens clucking in the background. Anyways, I'm switching my service back to a bank, I've had enough of paying the same price as a bank for a fraction of the services. No working app, cannot sign into account on Safari, cannot send money, cannot receive money other than direct load, or in-store deposits, constantly having card error where both parties claim that there should be no problem with my method of payment.

I called customer support prior to making a large purchase on Amazon for Christmas gifts, to see what the daily spending limit was, the agent told me $10, 000, I couldn't get $1100 to go through. Agent claims that this shouldn't have happened, and to try again, but it kept happening, I had to separate my orders into two payments, made on 2 separate days. This company gives me the impression that they don't care about their customers, and they are happy to keep taking your money.

One time they had an app that worked well, then it stopped working years ago, and no effort has been made to restore, or rebuild a new app to access your account. For the last 2 months I have had to call in just to check on my account balance due to system errors on Titanium mastercards part. Each time I call, it costs me $0.25. How convenient for Mastercard that the website has so many errors, that people have to call in and be charged $0.25 per call.

I’ve been a customer of money Mart and My Titanium for eight years and what’s happened to me recently is that I excepted a 50% return on some wigs that I received from her leisure which were terrible wigs and they were described as being real wigs.

Because I decided to keep the product I thought a 50% return was fair however according to money Mart’s terms and agreements so I’ve just learned they’ve stuck a whole permanent hold on my account and all my funds have been frozen which totals well over $100 and my return was only 39.99!

I’m stuck there’s no way I can get the funds released from my account because they say I’m in breach of my terms and conditions it’s ridiculous so be careful with money Mart if you choose to use them and they’re Mytitanium card is a piece of garbage!

Money Mart humiliating service

To whom it may concern

I have been a customer of western union/money mart for more than 5 years now. I always use their service for sending money. Most of the time i prepare myself for, the System issue. But this time it has been a new excuse/issue. 318 Dalhousie St, Ottawa, ON K1N 7E7, although this location is 24 hours, but it is in working condition i guess for not more than 4 hours. August 31st 10:50pm, there was a lineup and the person behind the screen were pretty dull. I mean i was behind 5 people in line. I reached to the window exact 12:00am. Mean took me more than a hour. The cashier told me i cannot help you now, you have to wait minimum of another half an hour. She said i have to close out the system, have to do some paper work and then i will call you. But it may take more than half an hour just to let you know. Meant i had to wait like for infinite time again. This is pretty humiliating. I was really upset, i left the store, without further argument. Very disappointed.

I have been a client of Money Mart since early 2011. I proved successful and reliable in paying my loan back until November. When November came, I called the Money Mart branch (King St. W @ Dufferin St., Toronto) to advise that I was unable to pay the loan and a payment arrangement with them. I broke that arrangement as I have been dealing with a personal...

Money Mart harrassment

I owe a payday loan to money mart and was contacted on April 27, 2011 by a man named Charles. He was calling from there head office and did not id who he was calling for when he left a voice mail. I than received another call on March 31st from Michelle telling me she would settle my account I told her that sounded good and asked for it in writing she refused. I told her I would not do anything without the settlement in writing than on April 1st I received a call from Jeff explained the same thing to him he told me would get it done and hour later another call from them which they hung up on me than another hour Dave called and demanded to know what was happening with my file I told I spoke to Jeff that morning he said yeah so what are you doing about it. I told him Jeff was calling me back April 4th and hung up on him... Today April 4th I received a call from Tracey she said would request the letter for the settlement of 652.00 I told her I was quoted 630.00 by Michelle and this is why I wanted the letter in writing... I than received a call from Jennifer a few hours later telling me I would continue to get calls daily and up to several times daily till I committed to paying I explained waiting for letter she started to cut me off I eventually hung up on her.

Money Mart identity theft and fraud

Got a visa through money mart, the pay as you go kind. Started getting charges I didn't make. They wouldn't do anything about it. Few months ago a charge appeared and was denied due to lack of funds thankfully.

I called the company and told them it was a fradulent charge and to not allow that company to use my card.2 months go by and the charge reappears and they take my money. I call the company and they refuse to do anything about it and refuse to cancel my card. They told me they would process any charge that came through and not cancel my card. I broke it up immediately. They are scam artists and they took me for about $120 bucks, not much but they kept refusing to refund my money and told me straight out they would continue to use my card under my name. Identity theft. Right there.

Money Mart scammed

I purchased a Visa Debit card #[protected] last month before attending to my sick Brother in Ohio; I was scammed by Coshocton Village Inn in Coshocton, OH and I've been forever getting my money back. I keep complaining; calling and faxing; nothing happens; is there anyone that can help with this; what an awful mess. Everyone passes the buck and nothing is done.

Money Mart continuous errors

The check for the payday loan had been sent to my account numerous times in attempt to collect the amount of the loan in full. I had then called them and set up an arrangement for the day that I got paid. The worker I had spoken with said that he would override whatever terms and put in the notes that I would make the payment the day I got paid. Instead, even after I made my paydate clear, he put the friday for the week before that and the check was sent through my account again. Well I called again after the first $100 payment made as promised, when I found out that the check had been sent through 2 more times. I called to see why that was and the woman I spoke with informed me that payments were supposed to be make weekly and that he had put the date for before my paydate. Well I had discussed with her that it wasnt fair for them to do that when I made my payment as promised. Then I told her that when I was going to go in on the 8th to make another payment that it would only be for $50 instead of $100 because of the other 2 more times that they had put the check through after my first payment. They had overdrawn my account by $50 dollars so I only thought it fair. If they would have kept their end, it would have been another $100 instead of only $50. I then spoke with a representative names Susan and she had assured me that the check WOULD NOT be sent through again as long as I kept my payment plan as promised, which is making a payment every pay period. I would like to know if there is any way to press charges if things should get serious because the way it looks is as if they are never going to stop. I met someone who told me that they had paid them in full and that their check was still being ran through their system and that she had to go as far as changing her number and bank account. I do not wish for it to go this far and would like to know my options. This upcoming Friday the 22 will be my third payment. If someone can please email me and let me know some options it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Put a stop payment on the check you left for the laon. This will stop the company from being able to have your check certified. This works in Canda, may work in the US as well. good luck
