Monster Transmission & Performance Bad Company,

Absolutely bad, there is only one star for the marketing. Half of my AOD gearbox was installed incorrectly, the oil pump didn't work, the bearings were a lot apart, the main axle had deep scratches and not all of the seals were replaced. Contact can only be made via telephone; other channels are not answered. Monster Transmission, Factory Transmission, Transmission Depot are all the same thing just with a different name.

Recommendation: stay away

Monster Transmission & Performance Poor Customer Service and Warranty Denial from Monster Transmission

I recently purchased a transmission from Monster Transmission and unfortunately, it didn't work when I installed it. I was worried that I didn't align it correctly, so I decided to give them a call to see if they could help me out. However, due to this phone call, they informed me that they would not be able to warranty the transmission anymore.

After taking my truck to a mechanic, I found out that I had actually installed the transmission correctly and that the issue was with the transmission itself. I was disappointed to learn that because of my initial assumption, Monster Transmission would not warranty the product anymore.

Overall, I was not satisfied with the customer service I received from Monster Transmission. It was frustrating to have to deal with a faulty product and then be denied warranty because of a simple phone call. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable transmission.

Monster Transmission & Performance Monster Transmission: The Ultimate Upgrade for Hauling and Off-Roading

I just got myself a 4R75W with a shift kit from Monster Transmission and let me tell you, it's a beast! This thing is built to last and upgraded to the max. I use my F150 for hauling my boat to and from the lake, and with its lift and off-road tires, I needed a transmission that could handle the load. And boy, does this one deliver! It shifts like a dream in everyday traffic, and when I'm pulling my boat, it's like it's not even there.

The folks at Monster Transmission were super helpful and informative about the whole process. They explained how the core charge works, how shipping and returning the core works, and everything else I needed to know. It was a great experience overall, and I highly recommend Monster Transmission to anyone looking for a new transmission or something to rebuild themselves.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Their customer support is top-notch, and they really know their stuff. If you're looking for a transmission that can handle whatever you throw at it, look no further than Monster Transmission. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Thanks, Monster Transmission!

Monster Transmission & Performance I invested close to 4 grand all said and done into their "built" trans, for 500hp or so, waited for the build for 4 months, and it blew up in 3

I invested close to 4 grand all said and done into their "built" trans, for 500hp or so, waited for the build for 4 months, and it blew up in 3. They wouldn't allow any local shops to rebuild under warranty, and understandably so as when I took it in and voided the warranty by doing so, it was a complete wreck. Local trustworthy transmission shop says It was not built in any way, it wasn't even built correctly to begin with. The warranty would have required me to pay for the shipping MYSELF after their screw up, about a grand round trip. Of course I did not want them to rebuild it again and send me another scrap metal box filled with neutral gears and clutch material, so I told them what a pos they sold me, I was told they do not offer refunds. Terrible customer service in the warranty department, ignored my calls for weeks after saying I wanted them to pay shipping, offered me no help whatsoever. The case was broken in two places, but no chunks inside, so it was either broken during build or passed an "inspection" like that. I even swapped a brand new cooler in, changed the fluid 3 times to insure a healthy break-in, and checked fluid levels daily. Do not buy, not worth it. The best thing out of this was the deep pan I put on my next trans, and it didn't even have a magnet to catch metal shavings.

I ordered a quick ship transmission for my Diesel Excursion. I was told it would take 2 weeks, but it ended up being 2 months. The shop I had do the installation said it works great going forward, but has no reverse gear functionality. I called customer service and was informed that it takes up to 9 days to review the issue. I mentioned that the transmission only had 3 miles on it since it was just installed. I was assured that it had been tested on a dynamometer before shipping and had performed well. However, when I inquired whether it was tested under load, I received no answer.

The technical support team contacted the shop where the installation took place and inquired if the shop owner could repair it. The owner declined, requesting a new transmission instead, and questioned who would be responsible for the costs of removing and reinstalling the unit. The technical support representative had no reply to this. I chose Monster for their reputation of quality-built products, but my experience has been nothing but frustrating delays and excuses. Regrettably, I am still uncertain about when a replacement will be provided. The technical support representative promised to call back in a few days.

Don't buy anything from Monster Transmissions! I purchased an AOD transmission and it was failing from the first time I installed it. Leaks from the shift shaft and soft shifts. I contacted them and they made me rebuild my governor then told me to take it to a transmission shop, which confirmed it was a faulty valve body. The delay in their responses and actions they made me do caused it to go past the 30 day warranty and now told me to deal with my bank for the refund. They are masters at hiding from their faults and putting the blame and cost on the customer. A total waste of money and time. Go somewhere else for your transmission.

I was pretty upset over having to replace my transmission, I know NOTHING, ZIP, ZILCH about cars and I can't tell you how many times I've been taken advantage of. Then thank heaven I found Monster in the area and thank my lucky stars I got a sales representative named John. He was SO professional, so patient, he answered all my questions and never pushed me to hurry up and make a decision. He treated me like family. I may still sell the car, but if I decide to repair it I'm coming right back to Monster.

Monster Transmission & Performance DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY

DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND THIEVES. I purchased a quickship trans with their WOWanty and it took almost 5 weeks to get it. 6 weeks after they received my core to credit my card back. The trans I got only lasted almost 20kmiles. All forward gears went out on me on the 7/1. I got a call from them on 7/2 and I informed them that I needed my truck by 7/15 to haul feed for my livestock due to drought in Tx. I was told not to touch it ( I am a mechanic) and someone will call me back 7/5. NO calls back that whole week till 7/8 by then I figured they were stalling knowing I needed my truck no matter what. I pulled my trans and dropped it off to a local trans shop that said could be rebuilt in less than 1 week for $2400. Trans shop found throttle valve was grounded down and longer spring installed. Instead of replacing with correct part. Also found 2 governor screws stripped out. The main cause of failure was the forward drum split in half. ( trans builder suspected was cracked when they installed it) . I called and text and sent emails to company and no return calls after the 7/8. I am just trying recoup some money back. Also trans rebuilder has never seen any quality rebuild that came from monster. He has been rebuilding trans for over 47 years and has a google 5 star reviews.

Ordered a built 4l60e supposedly a built 4l75e which inside was the added corvette servo and who knows if it really was a corvette one but anyways after receiving the trans I installed the added torque converter I paid extra for and installed the trans. When I started the truck everything sounded normal and idle was good but when i put it in gear i had no gears at all my idle would change but thats it so after a while of internet surfing I thought it was maybe that my tcm needed retuning so I paid for that service but a different company, didnt change the issue so i kept checking for pressure but had no circulation dip stick showed full and fluid never went down after running or warming up so i knew it was an internal issue so called monster they wanted me to pay freight to return it for inspection wouldve been about $500. I pulled the trans down checked the torque converter to make sure that I didnt damage the pump but everything was good besides a leaking garbage trans pan seal or gasket monster installed when I bought it but after going back *** in the truck same thing nothing changed no gears again so when i called monster again they said same thing pay freight and they would let me know if warranty will cover the issue repair so then I said if i pay for it what about if this whole issue really was the wrong torque converter then they would have to pay me and they didnt like that so I figured at this point if i sent it back $500 plus time there and how ever long eventually back vs a local performance transmission shop to redo what monster shouldve done in the beginning and charged way more but the local shop only charged me $650 after inspection he said they sold me an older style torque converter which grinded and released metal shavings and a couple of bad seals but rebuilt it in about 3 days tested it and I picked it up installed it and bamn worked like a charm. I wish i wouldve spent all my money from the very start with my local shop instead monster!

Would give less than 1 star is able. I sent them a trans for rebuild and they put the wrong shift linkage in it and sent it back. I called them for the correct one and they sent me the wrong one 2 times after that. Finally I had to track down and buy the correct linkage myself for almost 300 bucks and they dont want to honor anything about it at all. Yeah this company obviously doesn't care about its customers or they would do a better job at making sure stuff is done correctly.

I ordered a quick ship 4l65e transmission and a new torque converter. It took about 5 days for it to arrive. Anyways there was some confusion with the warranty and in order to get it you need to replace the transmission cooler or if you have a radiator with one built in you'd have to replace the radiator to get the warranty. Anyways they hadn't informed me of this so I called and spoke with Will. He handled everything amazing and got back quick with their solution to just give me a new Trans cooler. Well it got here today and it installed super easy. My truck is running and shifting amazingly and completely within warranty. I absolutely fell in love with my tahoe all over again. So big shout out to the agents at monster transmission. I will bump this review to 5 stars as soon as they've picked up my core and returned my core deposit.

Monster Transmission & Performance I purchased a transmission from Monster

I purchased a transmission from Monster. JC C. was my representative. All about building relationships they say. First issue came with delivery. When the transmission didn't come at time expected, called center in Texas from where it was being shipped and the guy was rude and said I shouldn't be asking about delivery so early in the process. Then when he realized my order was supposed to be "quick ship" he offered no apology. During this time I received at least 6 texts from Monster that said to call in but when I called in the texts were bogus. I finally got my transmission and shipped the old one back, paying careful attention to all instructions. After more than I week I was contacted about a late return. I had all paperwork, etc, showing the transmission had been returned. None of my emails or voicemails complaining about how all this was handled were returned. To date I only got 151.00 back of my 400.00 deposit and cannot get my emails or voicemail messages returned. If I go on the website a chat screen opens then no one responds after I type a message. On trust spot they ask if I have any questions about pricing but as soon as the chat turns to Monster Transmission they say they will be back tomorrow. JC's email address that worked just a few weeks ago no longer works. I can only hope I never need warranty service.

Ordered a flexplate for a Cadillac engine. Ordered the correct part based on the specs listed on Monster's Website. Waited two weeks then received the wrong flexplate (smaller in dia and fewer teeth). Spoke to a Client Care Rep with Monster. I asked for the correct part along with a postage paid label so I can return the wrong part Monster sent me. The Rep said he is not authorized to do anything and must send my request to some review committee at Monster. Now no responses to my emails, phone messages. I have to consider my $90 as tuition and never deal with Monster Transmission again. Was able the get the correct part in one day from local auto parts store.

Buyer beware - Thor Converters is actually owned by Monster Transmission. I was not aware of this when I purchased a Thor torque convert because of the simple 3 year warranty shown on their website. After purchase I received a shipping notice followed by a warranty activation document to e-sign from Monster Transmission. Needless to say, I as surprised and would not have made the purchase if I had known this. I called Monster and was told they own Thor and that torque converters only have a 1 year warranty not a 3 year warranty. When I told them the Thor website (owned by them) clearly stated it was a nationwide 3 year unlimited mileage warranty they didn't believe me. They wanted me to send them a picture of the Thor website. They weren't even willing to look at it themselves. The Monster warranty agreement says you have to return a core or you get no warranty. The Thor website does not mention a core return or a core charge in lieu of a core return. At that point, I asked them to cancel the order. They said that it couldn't be cancelled because it had already shipped. Records show it didn't ship until 4 hours after I cancelled the order. They wanted me to take delivery and then call them to get an RMA number. If I did this they would keep the $129 they charged me for shipping, charge me a 25% restocking fee, and give me a store credit for the balance. In other words, they would keep 100% of my money. I refused delivery by UPS and asked my credit card company to deny the charge. I had extensive documentation - emails, proof of phone calls, detailed shipping records, etc. It took almost 3 months but I finally got the charge taken off my credit card. Seems like a scam to me.

I purchased the Thor converter featuring a lockup, but all three units they sent lacked this feature. I have invested a significant amount of money in rebuilding my transmission, yet they continue to make errors. Now they claim my warranty has expired and are pressuring me to purchase their top-tier all-billet model. I have decided I will never make another purchase from them again due to their inconsistent explanations.

Monster Transmission & Performance The 4th gear clutch just went bad in my 700R4 after only 8,000 miles/21 months of light driving in my '70 Chevy C10 truck

The 4th gear clutch just went bad in my 700R4 after only 8,000 miles/21 months of light driving in my '70 Chevy C10 truck. Initial customer service when I first bought it was great except for they promised live video during the build which never happened and I paid for a black case and they shipped me a standard gray case. They did refund me the $$ but that's not the point. I ordered the entire assembly kit which was great quality and the entire install went well. Their hour video was a great help.
But, I took the truck to the local authorized trans shop who drove the truck and verified 4th gear clutch was bad. It shifts fine but no acceleration once in fourth gear, just slips. I asked for the local shop to do the repair as allowed in the warranty and they are mandating I ship it from Las Vegas to Florida at almost $600 shipping costs (my cost per the warranty). They seem to be hiding behind the large shipping costs to avoid the rebuild cost. It took a week to get an answer. The call center rep, Alyssa (very nice btw) told me on during two calls that no local repair labor is covered under the warranty though on their website it clearly says they will pay for $50/hour up to 6 hours of labor. So I'm now stuck with the only option of sending it all the way across the county to the company that failed to provide the great quality they brag about.

Sent transmission out for warranty paid 1000$ for shipping and mechanic work got back the transmission had mechanic install and drove 1 mile before it quit. Called monster and they said pull it out and send it back and they don't understand that cost money so they offered to pay half of shipping . Easy for them to say. They suck. They said it was fine when it left there shop. Would not recommend to nobody. I would of been better off to take it to a transmission shop. I don't understand how they "dyno" their transmissions before they send them out and they drive 1 mile and completely quit . Do not use them

Ordered a stock replacement transmission for my Silverado, and fortunately I opted NOT to return a core.
Transmission drove like *** and failed completely less than a month after install.
Local transmission shop did a post-mortem and found that it had been heavily modified to the point where it was not possible to repair or rebuild, and useless even as a core.
Monster Transmission won't return calls or emails.
Good thing I kept my original factory transmission, to be rebuilt by my local shop correctly.
Monster Transmission are nothing less than criminals, out to steal your money.

I ordered a transmission from Monster Transmission on March 21st, 2022. After receiving it and installing it, I requested the address to ship my core to for my $400 refund. They wouldn't give me the address because they wanted to schedule a pickup with their freight company and charge me $200 for shipping so I would only get $200 back from my refund. I told them I could ship it much cheaper but they still wouldn't give me the address to ship it back. I decided I'll just keep it and get a re-build kit and try my hand at rebuilding my transmission and have a spare if I succeed. May 19th I get a text from them asking if I'm going to return my core, I inform them that I couldn't get an address to ship it back to, low and behold the next message is the address. I shipped the core back to them May 25th, and they received it June the 2nd. They've had it over a month at this point when they said it would take 7-10 to receive my refund once they receive the core. I've called multiple times and each time they tell me I'll have my refund within a couple of days. I don't understand what the problem is, do they do this to everyone hoping they'll get tired of fighting for their refund? ALL I WANT IS MY REFUND!

Monster Transmission & Performance I had a similar horrible experience with Monster Transmission as many of the reviews on here

I had a similar horrible experience with Monster Transmission as many of the reviews on here. Ordered a 4L60E MG302-4L60E-93-96 Custom Built Monster 4L60E Transmission Heavy Duty Performance, 1pc Case 2WD on 11/22. After many calls and emails, order shipped on 02/09.

Transmission arrived, had new paint. However, inspecting the casing - there was an obvious major gash in the top back of the bellhousing. They appeared to have put some quick JB Weld in the gash and then painted over. Ok, not a big deal if it works. Installed the transmission and torque converter [protected] Stall with Lockup). First issue noted - car rolls in Park, so there is an issue with the Parking Pawl. Second issue - car rarely shifts out of first until 3K RPM+ and the same issue occurs in other gears.

Opened 3 Help tickets on their Web-based system over 2 weeks, received no calls/emails/texts.
Called Monster's out-sourced customer service line..."Oh we see the tickets, let me delete these 2 and us the original". Ok, can I talk with tech support? "Oh go online and sign this warranty agreement". It was mostly a "Cover Monster's *** agreement to go to a specific county in FL to sue them, etc.". ZERO calls or contact from Monster.

Run from this sham of a business - it's all smoke and mirrors. I recommend spending your dollars on something else - B&M, etc. I would have spent double on something other than this garbage.

Monster Transmission & Performance Monster Transmission has a solid marketing campaign and website, using realty show personalities most would trust

Monster Transmission has a solid marketing campaign and website, using realty show personalities most would trust. The company website presents consumer confidence about product and services. I placed an order to have my transmission rebuilt. The transmission was shipped to FL. It took 8 weeks to complete. What did I get for my purchase? An add-on aluminum deep pan included in the order was not shipped with the rebuilt transmission. The pan was shipped separately. I had to purchase the bolts and plug. The torque converter had a weld defect which caused a leak in the bell housing. I did get credit for the torque converter. The transmission was removed to inspect. I called Monster client care to express concerns. I was instructed to contact another local shop. Client care looked it up on Google, not from a list of supporting shops. I did so. The other shop said they would not touch a Monster transmission. I wondered why. I learned after having the transmission inspected by another shop, Monster used old parts and mismatched clutch discs. There was apparent galling on critical components. The Monster warranty is void according to client care. The transmission would have moved the vehicle but would have failed prematurely. I am confident after the second inspection and rebuild and paid extra money to be sure I would not need to remove the transmission again. I did get some new parts and a new paint job, but the rebuild was not what Monster Transmission markets, we build relationships! Not true!

Monster Transmission & Performance Bit twice within a couple of months

Bit twice within a couple of months. I purchased a transmission for one of my customer's vehicles and a transfer case for another customer within a couple of months of each other. I will start with the transmission. I will keep it short. I ordered a 4L80E transmission for a HMMWV and told them I specifically needed one with a short shift shaft. The new transmission arrived with a long shaft and did not work. After spending around 12 hours double checking all of the wiring and my diagnostics, I returned to identify the transmission has an internal fault. They sent another one again with a long shift shaft after being told many times that I require a short shift shaft and that transmission did not work either. Come to find out, they built them without a reluctor ring for the output speed sensor. They finally sent a third transmission with a short shift shaft and a reluctor installed and it finally works. Now. On to the transfer case. I received the transfer case and installed it. I drove it 15 miles only to find transmission fluid leaking from the yoke for the front driveshaft. They did not tighten the yoke and the front seal was damaged. I reached out to them to file a warranty claim and they offered only $100. They have no regard or understanding of what customer service is and I vow to make sure no one in my circle of friends will ever do any business with them again. BTW I have 9 ASE certifications with GM World Class certification and 30 years experience. 9 years as a business owner. I have great customers and I vow to make sure they get premium service.

Monster Transmission & Performance Major warranty and reliability issues!

Major warranty and reliability issues! Do not buy anything they assemble themselves! Received my custom built transmission (that cost $3000.00) 3 weeks late only to have missing bolts from the pump housing and the dip stick hole was not drilled out to accommodate the Diesel engine dipstick. Then, after not even being installed for 3 months, it started puking fluid out from 3 different seals. Their warranty department wanted me to send them the entire transmission and pay the $500 freight myself there and back. I contacted their warranty department again and they split the bill with me for a local fix as the repair was hundreds cheaper then the freight alone. After spending the money that I did for this product I expected to not have any issues with the good word I had heard from numerous others. Then, yes once again, transmission exploded 250 miles from home 10 months after install. $1000 towing cost(at a discount because it was a family friend), full weekend ruined, my wife and 4 month old child miserable on the side of the highway in Texas summer heat. Luckily, my father in law came to get us and took us back home only for him to return all the way back home 5 hrs away. Such a reputable company that they want me to, once again, pay shipping cost of $500.00 to get the tranny to them and not have a vehicle for numerous weeks. And I ask myself, why would I spend more money to send the transmission back when it has had issues from the very beginning? They are clearly incapable of building superior products so how am I to trust that they can fix it properly and trust to not leave me or my family stranded again?

Monster Transmission & Performance absolutely awful !

absolutely awful ,! I would never ever in my LIFE! order from these people again! so I order a stall converter for my 2005 c6 corvette which is the 1st year of that car, it has the 4l65e transmission ,so I ordered the stall converter for a 4l65e transmission, an when your purchasing they even have a certain fill out point to be specific I wrote specifically, I am ordering this for a 2005 c6 corvette!, now when it arrives , I never opened it because my mechanic wasn't ready for it at his shop so it was in my procession no longer than 2 months if that , well when my mechanic finally got an open slot 2 start working on my car ,my mechanic calls me and says this is NOT the right stall converter. , now on a c6 corvette you half 2 drop the whole rear of the car so my mechanic has my car on a lift in the air charging me by the hour! I call 2 make a file 2 get a full refund since I DID state i had a 2005 c6 corvette with a 4l65e , the problem is the torque converter was for a 4l65e but on the corvette the housing is different, which they should have known since they call them selves (minister transmission)) (specialists)it won't even allow u 2 begin 2 bolt the stall converter .in it because the dimensions and diameter are off not the same, becaise.it can't fit past the housing so they make me wait a couple of days 2 get back with me only to tell there gona only be able to give me 50 percent of my money back! like what the world ! this has got 2 be a joke! I did nothing wrong they were the ones at fault! not only did i have too purchase another torque converter from a real transmission place which is (yank ), by the way there awesome and are the best! and they even give a great money back guarantee unlike these careless and selfish people , who are clearly a joke of a company, I also half 2 pay the mechanic for the time it was still on the lift at his shop, but not only did they insult me with the 50 percent back,, when the part never even was bolted in 2 the car! can u believe they even wanted me 2 pay shipping 2 send it back! , wow talk about gettin ya blood boiling ,, I will forever down this.company for the way they handled me and there business , by all means take my advice and never ever ever order from these liars!

Monster Transmission & Performance Monster Transmissions is sorriest excuse for a quality transmission team

Monster Transmissions is sorriest excuse for a quality transmission team. If I could leave a zero star review I would... I sent in my 4l80 to be completely rebuilt and got back exactly what I sent them to start with, a burnt up transmission. For starters they completely forgot to send the freight truck to pick up my transmission and I kept getting told that it was on the way, it was a whole month before I finally got ahold of someone competent enough to realize that the order had never even been processed. I should have taken that as a warning sign right there. They finally pick my transmission up, keep it for a month, and then send it back with the worst rattle can paint job I've ever seen! Also I sent my transmission in with drain pan that had a drain plug and got it back with a drain pan that did not have a drain plug and was beat to ***! Extremely disappointed, I install my "rebuilt" tranny add their special Burn Rubber Fluid and it does exactly the same thing as it did when I sent it to them! No drive, no reverse, no pump pressure, nothing! I couldn't even back it out of my shop! I get ahold of their warranty department and am immediately prompted to register it for their "WOWenty" legally binding me to a contract. They say to have my transmission looked at by a professional shop but all they can do is drop the oil pan and that's it, how the heck do you diagnose a transmission when all you can do is drop the oil pan?!?! I told Monster warranty department what the issue was but they just had to have it on paper, the pictures of the burnt clutch residue in the pan weren't enough. I finally just had my well known, friendly, and professional Transmission shop tear it down to reveal that nothing had been replaced, and when I say nothing I mean absolutely nothing had been touched! I had been scammed out of $2500! When I sent pictures of the evidence the warranty department proceeded to ignore me for about 2 weeks before finally calling me to tell me I voided my warranty! How can you warranty something that was never rebuilt! They wouldnt budge, no help and Jeremy would not let me speak to his boss at all costs! He had no idea what I was even talking about when I was explaining my issues in the first place! "I'm just a customer service rep not a rebuilt technician"... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY ON Monster Transmissions!

Monster Transmission & Performance Any car guy/girl has heard the name Monster Transmission

Any car guy/girl has heard the name Monster Transmission. So when the transmission went out in my 2003 H2 I thought I was making a great choice by ordering a new one from Monster. A custom built 4L65E rated for up to 500 hp. First mistake...passed on the white glove warranty. I figured it's a Monster Transmission this thing is built like a tank..it's not gonna break down. Roughly 500 miles after being installed my new Monster Transmission loses all gears. Long story short Monster says send the transmission back and we will fix it and send it back. Sooo, I passed on the white glove warranty so I now have to pay to have the transmission removed, shipped to them, shipped back to me and the new one installed again. Their mistake cost me another $1,009! They could have at least offered to pay for the shipping or hell half of the shipping...ANYTHING! This was a brand new transmission! So now I have ANOTHER new Monster Transmission installed and I'm back on the road again! Yes!...wait...what's that on the dash? A check engine light! Anyone want to take a guess what caused it? Yep! Scanned the code and it shows up P1810 Transmission Fluid Pressure Manual Valve Position Switch. Called Monster Transmission to let them know and the lady more or less tells me that I need to take it to the shop and see if they can fix it. I am tired of spending my money to fix their mistakes so I asked if they were going to pay for it and she said it's not covered under the warranty. Now...I have read the other reviews on Complaintsboard.com and they all seem to be pretty much more or less the same. Quality issues! I also have noticed that Monster Transmission is responding to these complaints with the same comment so I am going to respond to yours. You have been in business for over 18 years because your business used to be good. Maybe it still is...for the right people...like Gas Monkey or all these celebrities you brag about while I can't get someone to answer the phone unless I press 1 like I want to buy a new transmission. 5,000 transmissions a year? Wouldn't you rather brag about 3,000 transmissions a year and not have reviews like these here on Complaintsboard.com? Your quality and your name is in a bad place right now. Every transmission shop I have had my vehicle to lately (and believe me it's multiple ones and I now have to go again) has talked bad about you. Random people that I have spoken with have had nothing nice to say about Monster Transmission. I have heard multiple people say that it used to be a good company but it has went downhill. Not sure about the past of your company but 18 years you must have done something right. This was the first time I have ever done business with Monster Transmission. It will most definitely be the last! Now..I know you are going to say please contact Monster so we can make this right. Give me a number where someone will actually answer or actually do something about this situation and I will.

Monster Transmission & Performance I watch a lot of Motor Trend TV - particular show discussed "Monster In a Box

I watch a lot of Motor Trend TV - particular show discussed "Monster In a Box". - warranty ... Bullet proof, etc. etc. I was in the process of retro fitting a 455 BB Buick into my 1955 Buick Roadmaster- yada yada yada - I needed/wanted a new 4 speed transmission - wasn't sure if I wanted a 200 or 700r4. Called Monster - "Lou" - nice guy - went through my specs - tells me - you need a custom transmission based on BB configuration- so I said fine - $3,200 later it's ordered - Monster in a box is on its way - nickname of tranny is Kristi - going to be painted black. Feeling good. 1 month later I call back to see where is Kristi? Big Lou tells me it's going to "quality control" - awesome- sounds like it's done. I won't bore you with every call - but 3 1/2+ months later - Lou not there anymore- Its been delivered Monday- week later still not there - I get my monster in box. Great looking box - transmission looks great - the fact they have lied through their "F"ing teeth every phone call- I'm over it - let's move on. Folks... Transmission lasted less then 400 miles. Couldn't get it to shift into OD. Lastly Pretty sure torque converter is garbage. It ended with a puddle of transmission fluid on my driveway. Did they really bolt this transmission and run it before shipping as Gas Monkey guy claims in their advertising? Warranty = send us back the POS you waited 31/2 months for - on your dime - not ours after I had to send videos and pay a local transmission guy to diagnose (he respectively had a smile on- rightful so). We are going to rebuild for you. You'll wait no longer then 2 weeks we promise. Oh - if your transmission guy touches transmission... like drop pan to actually see what's going on - no warranty. Warranty labor coverage of $600 actually only covers if transmission doesn't need to come out. If it needs to come out and be sent back to monster... That's on you in addition to shipping. That is the last bit of punch you in the balls. Customer service- pretty sure it is a outside company that monster has hired to get you to give up. Phones and emails do not include monster anywhere in them. After 3 months and 3 reps with - in my view unsatisfactory answers - I asked to speak with manager. I was told "mangers do not have an open line to customers ". I own several businesses- how or when is that ever even a option? I was told that rep would send management a email stating I wanted a call and that response from management would be most likely weeks away. I have never taken the time to torpedo a company with a review- just not who I am. But this has to be the worst transaction/ business interaction I have ever had in my 46 years. Monster transmission is awful - they sell convenience- you receive garbage. I am a small business owner who should have hired a local shop to do the work - I own that. If you're thinking about buying from Monster- don't. Take my valuable time and my money and hire a reputable local shop.

If you happened to take the time to do your research on Monster Transmission then PLEASE DO NOT BUY, before I even share my story look at a couple things your self and decide, 1 all there Instagram comments are turned off, the few you find you can clear see are "complaints" they purposely turn them off so they don't have to deal with them, they are not hate comments just facts, I was promised 4-6 weeks and 7 day shipping, turned to 3 months till it was shipped and another month because of ESTES, the company they use for shipping, not even gonna get started on ESTES. Long story short after many many man hours I finally got the transmission installed, then I realize the shift lever which is also a internal component is off of a vehicle they used to test, (which I don't even see how it got tested) but after many more calls and research they tell me I was supposed to change it with the original one, lmao another project added to the list so I head to tear open the box dig out my old transmission open it up, remove it, and then re install on the new one. That was when I started to realize how *** this company does things. I poured 4 qts of brand new transmission fluid in before I ran into the problem so I didn't think I would have to drop the pan n drain it. Mind you it's "FRESH" never even been turned on yet. There was TONS of grime and filth in the pan. Took even more Time trying to clean that and whatever rookie they hired to do the surfacing job(make gasket area smooth for quality seal) because they scorred the living *** out of my transmission, I have no idea how it wasn't leaking, I can fit my nail in the scratches. And this isn't were my nightmare ends not at all lmao. After finally cleaning everything and reinstalling everything, it was finally time to start it up, I turned it over and it fired right up, topped it off with more fluid while it was idling and it was time for test drive, shifted from PRND12 to make sure everything worked, and then I took it on the road. Started to drive and I watch the rpm keep climbing...no shift. I instantly turn it off. Pull it back check the fluid everything seemed good, took it on the road again and boom went into "Limp Home" mode which is a Ford design to force the transmission to shift to get you to a near by shop. In that mode everything shifted great but as you know you shouldn't drive it in that mode because it's pumping extreme amounts of pressure through it which raises the chances of it grenading itself. So I pull it back in jack it back up and can't find nothing, I call them up they say since it's throwing a code I need to take it through a certified shop to have them diagnose it. So after another 300$ for the tow and scan fee he pulls a speed sensor code, luckily I had a spare with me because I suspected that was the problem, pop it off place a new one on and same thing, he then tells me they could have installed the wrong gear and the sensor may not be reading it so we pop it off and inside the whole was no teeth wat so ever, and if there is no teeth for the sensor to read it can't read it, so long story short I gave them my old transmission that only slipped out of second gear for a brand new transmission that won't even shift past 1st lmao. Avoid this company, they told me they don't do refunds what so ever and the best thing they can do is rebuild it for me working 2 weeks, but how can you trust they will do that wen my 4-6 weeks turned to 4 months, and they didn't even say they would pay for the shipping or anything lmao, even if your already purchased a product as long as you have no received it yet YOU CAN STILL GET A COMPLETE REFUND THROUGH YOUR BANK, Monster transmission will try to take 25% for a restocking fee if you attempt to get yours before it's built through them. Don't waste your time go to a local shop have them build you one or go to a dismantler, there somewhat reasonable prices are not worth wasting all your money like I did

Monster Transmission & Performance 2004R Wont shift through the gears in Drive

I just installed my 2004R transmission from Monster Transmission and Performance and immediately found an issue with it. I can shift through the gears manually, but if I put it in Drive, it starts in Drive and remains there. I believe they installed a manual valve body in it (that I didn't order). Monster’s solution is for me to pay a mechanic to uninstall it ($500), pay $508 to ship it back to Florida and then pay a mechanic again to install it. So I am expected to pay $1500 to get my “warranty covered” transmission fixed.

I'm a 100% disabled veteran with ALS. I wanted to ride in my Nova a couple more times before I'm immobile (most likely sometime this year). Shipping the transmission across the country means I'll never get to ride in my car again.

Why can’t I take it to an authorized repair center (listed on their website) and have them perform the warranty repair? So far, Monster Transmission has had no flexibility on this issue.

Desired outcome: I'll take the car to an authorized Monster Transmission repair center in my area and have them complete the repairs. Monster will cover the bill under the warranty.

Monster Transmission & Performance Transmission and warranty

Purchased a transmission because I believed them to be one of the best based on Richard Rollins backing them. I paid roughly $2600 for the initial payment and then I was contacted by someone at Monster who told me that the transmission I picked was not strong enough for my truck so I paid an additional $800 for the upgrade. After waiting, the transmission finally arrived. I got it put in and everything was going good until day 16. That was at the beginning of May when it was removed and sent back. Here we are on May 24th with no resolution in sight, no information on my transmission being sent back to me, no information about the warranty, nothing. When I call, I assume I am blocked because from all the numbers I have used to call them, no one can get through to them on their automated system. I get the runaround constantly that someone will call me back; that never happens. EVER! I was in business for myself with one truck I use to pull a dump trailer; due to this, I have had to close my business, lost an enormous amount of income; had to buy a new vehicle to have something to drive that is not capable of pulling a dump trailer; and all my self-worth. I want a complete REFUND of all payments as follows: 3/15/2023 for $784.81 and 2/28/023 for $2,515.18 for a total of $3,299.99. I am not a rich man and I can't wait around for someone else to do their job that they chose to do. I have lost my business due to this whole thing, literally, it is closed. Thanks for nothing MONSTER!

Desired outcome: Complete refund of $3,299.99

I bought a custom built transmission from Monster transmission and I payed 2700.00 dollars for it when I received it put it in and about 500 miles later the reverse went out. I tried contacting them about it but because I didn’t have an invoice number they wouldn’t help me I payed with a credit card but they couldn’t look that up for me. It made no sense at all I’m out a whole bunch of money and it’s been a few years now and Since then I’ve lost a lot and had to struggle to save for another vehicle and lost days of work and it really sucks. Monster transmission sucks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. On 08/20 I purchased a custom built 4R70W Heavy Duty Performance Transmission 4x4. I was told that it was refurbished and tested for proper operation. The initial cost was 2,664.28 with torque converter, production setup handling and shipping. It was delivered to Letts Sales and Service. I sent my old transmission back as a core exchange. Letts installed the transmission at a cost of 700.00 and when I picked up the truck, did not even make 1 mile. Took it back to Letts and they checked everything and said that the transmission was bad. Called Monster transmission and they said they had a no refund policy but they would exchange if I paid the shipping i agreed. Now went through the exact same process with the same results. At this point i had no choice but to take and have it rebuilt. By this time I even had purchased a warranty but their response remained the same. Had to use the second transmission in order to have something to rebuild. Had it towed to Buckys transmission and the cost was1685.00. They had to replace almost every internal part. I just seek initial cost of 2,664.28 . I will be absorbing about 1700.00. Thanks Again

I purchased a custom built Transmission from Monster Transmission on 10/30 and received it on 12/24. When the unit arrived I opened the box and took a picture because I noticed some transmission fluid had leaked from the unit but did not give it much thought at the time. When they finish the build they put fluid in them to test and inspect it, then drain the fluid and ship them out. I figured a little residual fluid may drip out of the tail shaft end of the transmission in shipping. I didn't completely unpack it at that time. Two months later when the box was removed from the pallet I realized the leak was from between the main case and the tail shaft housing. At that time I contacted Monster transmission to see what they would do about this obvious oversight on their inspection of the unit. I was told that because I had not taken it out of the box before 30 days from the time I received it , there was nothing they could do for me at that time. In March They did however tell me I could pay an additional $588 to ship it back to them so they could inspect it and repair it. Mind you this is still strapped to the pallet they ship it on. I couldn't understand why I needed to send back a unit to have it fixed. I was also told I could install it and that would allow me to file a warranty claim, this didn't make any sense either. When I got to the point that I would say it was officially installed, March 2022 and still within the warranty, I notified them my transmission was leaking fluid from between the two sections of the case, I was told my only option was to remove it from the car and pay $588 to ship it to them and have it inspected and repaired at my cost. Since then I did my own inspection and found that there is a crack in the main case that they sloppily tried to fix. They brag about their top of the industry quality and delivery of quality tested products. They did not ship me a fully functional unit, I feel like this is a breach of contract.

We purchase what we thought was a Black beast transmission from Monster Transmission and Performance. After A Year, it started leaking from every place it could leak from, We paid them $3,052.12 for a special built transmission. Had it put in my a professional to get the warranty. Then found out after the rush. no warranty. The horrible part We are so upset. We had Watson Transmission in Valdosta look in to it for us because we had to have a vehicle. When he got into the transmission. It was not a Black beast! But used parts! painted items. USED PARTS! I cant described how we feel at this time. We have always used Monster Transmission. Never thought they would do us this way. But yes they did. We contacted them. they wanted us to pay to have it shipped back to them to look over and wait to get it back. We could not afford to do that. We needed out vehicle. Now I know why. USED PARTS! PAINTED PARTS! Now we had to pay Watson's 2650.00 to rebuild what was supposed to be the BEST TRANSMISSION. please help. we don't know where else to turn. We have used Monster with other trucks we thought they were great. But I don't know what happened? Covid? shortage of parts? I am praying and thanking God that we can get help. thank you. our order number is MT-XXXXXX order date was [protected] Amount was $3,052.12 We received it I think in May .

Order MT *** - 4/14 order custom transmission with specific adjustment for 1981 F150 it took them until 8 to receive. We had it shipped to reputable shop that was doing other overhaul upgrades. Install was completed by Dec 2021. The shop notified us it needed to be linked by transmission shop. The transmission shop linked but the transmission will not go into second gear. We had it hauled on rollback to another transmission shop. Same thing and now we have all this labor and no working transmission - the transmission without labor is $3297. Including 12 qts of oil that cost $159. Reached out to warranty and they want us to pay to freight it back to them and we would have to pay labor again to uninstall their faulty product. We found a shop that will rebuild it which should not have happened if it truly went through 'quality control." Monster should pay to get rebuild because this was their product. They want us to ship to them for rebuild and it took 4 months to get it the first time. The resolution is to pay local shop for rebuild not for us to pay someone to rebuild their faulty product.

Monster Transmission & Performance on 2nd transmission

on 2nd transmission. It doesn't shift right. I want a full refund of transmission and my cost for 2 installs. 9k total 1st transmission didn't last 500 miles. 2nd doesn't shift right. Now waiting for it to fail. I have several e mails I will have to get together. 1st Order# MT-XXXXX X/20/19. Shipped to me 8/15. Had installed 1st week of 9/19. Failed 9/23. After several calls and attempts from shop. I took took another shop. and they tested it and said its junk. Monster then said it wasn't correct info and diagnostics. The result was transmission got sent to Monster and they said it was being rebuilt. I asked several times why ? and what happened. Never would say ? Had to wait forever, and a couple extra weeks because they had no Torque Converter for it. When shop got transmission. Order# MT-XXXXXX, they installed it. took for test drive and said its not right. Slips between shifting gears. Monstaer asked if any codes or engine light ? No.. They said run it. I wouldn't take it till they said they honor the warrenty. They said: No. The shop my transmission is at is not a ATRA Member. Which was the 1st time I heard that. I asked why is that a issue now ? I was told by salesman I could install it myself, and they would Honor it. Which turned out to be false at this point. I had to take to *** Transmission in ***, *** now to have then test it. They said to go with it. No codes and no engine light. But they said: They've had several Monster transmission come in and all junk. Not been good experience with any of them. Bottom line. I just want all my money back. This transmission isn't going to last. It slips between shifts. The shop I used deals with performance transmissions and said they have never seen one like this. Meaning no tuning or increased line pressures. Also said no aftermarket tuning box. Steve at the shop I used also said the Tech at Monster told him this was just a stock transmission. Which its supposed to be a heavy built competion transmission. That's what I paid for. Which means alot of tech stuff. Like a different valve body in tranny. Which this dosen't have ? I just want refunded.

I ordered a C6 transmission from Monster Transmission on 10/26 with an advertised 8-week lead time at the time of my purchase. Today is 2/2/22 and it has still not arrived and Monster Transmission is offering absolutely no assistance to remedy the situation. My car is at a local shop, and has been for two weeks, waiting to have the transmission from Monster installed based upon Monster's alleged shipping date. I want my money refunded or the transmission delivered immediately. Order number: MT-*** Price: $3,728.79

I was misled and have been defrauded, with access to genuine customer support being denied in the face of criminal behavior. I demand the return of my 5000 dollars, and additionally, my mechanic and I have incurred losses exceeding another 5000 dollars due to deceit and incorrect parts. We have testimony from reputable distributors who can attest to the unethical practices of this discriminatory and falsely inclusive corporation. If we could reach the actual owner, I am certain they would dismiss their call center staff who engage in frivolous tactics, provoking customers to hang up and prematurely ending calls. They have singled out my wife over the phone and obstructed any attempt to communicate with the true proprietors. This company exhibits erratic behavior and must be held accountable. They have wrongfully accused other businesses, all of which have vindicated themselves. This is the final warning before initiating a significant lawsuit. I insist on the immediate reimbursement of my funds. They have held onto my money and left my vehicle inoperative for over three months. The public record clearly shows the multitude of grievances and poor ratings, with an 'F' rating and over 200 complaints highlighting the same issues of exploitation and dishonesty towards consumers.

Purchased a NEW transmission from this company. It never worked, never shifted corrected once installed. Made several attempts with MT to resolve. They suggested I take it to a certified transmission dealer to diagnose the problem (at my expense another $1800.00) Contacted MT with results they stated return the transmission to them at my expense they would repair and resend again at my expense. How is that making it right. I have since located a Monster Transmission facebook blog where there are hundreds of people sharing the same story as mine of getting ripped off by this company. Someone needs to do something. I paid with a debit card and sure which it had been a cc I would have had the cc company get the money back. Do not have sales receipt on me at this time Please let me know if I can upload it in a later email. Thank You.

Monster Transmission & Performance GM 200 4R transmission lasted less than 10 miles before losing all forward gears and park

GM 200 4R transmission lasted less than 10 miles before losing all forward gears and park. Ordered and paid for the transmission in July and was quoted a 2-month build. After three months I made several calls and left several messages before anyone returned my call. I was informed my transmission had been overlooked, but what ship tomorrow. After receiving the transmission several weeks later, I installed it with no problems (replacing a TH350) and found the conversion kit I purchased (Universal TV cable, trans mount and TV adapters for carb) worked well. After installation, the transmission seemed to work but the proper speedometer ear was not installed (70 actual MPH read over 100MPH on the speedo), and it would not downshift once in 4th gear unless I stopped or manually downshifted. When I got it home to check the fluid (which was clean and at the correct level) I somehow lost all forward gears and PARK (How can you lose PARK?). The only working gear is reverse. All other settings (Park, OD,3,2,1) produce a whining noise from the transmission. I had to have the vehicle towed at my expense to a local shop that Monster approved for a diagnosis, where it currently sits waiting for Monster transmission to approve the shop to drop the pan and look inside (the shop is hesitant due to the nature of the failure, and does not want to void the warranty). If this transmission had been ridden hard for several months, I could understand... but it has less than 10 miles on it. that and the fact that after more than a month delay, they magically 'found' it and built it and shipped it the next day? If I am required to have the car towed home, remove the transmission and ship it back at my expense, in order for them to repair it under warranty I will seek compensation for negligence on the part of Monster Transmission, not to mention I have no faith whatsoever now that they can repair it properly. Would prefer they pay a local shop to do it. If I receive the same canned response from monster, I will pursue filing charges of fraud with the Florida DA's office. (Fraud: wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.)

Ordered a th400 transmission and torque converter. The transmission has multiple large cracks filled with soft epoxy and painted over. They sent a used rusty torque converter in place of the $894 dollar converter I ordered that is supposed to have a billet aluminum cover, brazed bushings, and flanged hub Customer service said there will be a 1-2 day wait for them to discuss the issues with management staff. Called my credit card company and they suggested a dispute of the charges. Monster transmission says they will send the missing converter when the dispute is closed. The dispute ends and they say they will send nothing even tho I have already paid for the items that were never delivered. Another dispute with documentation has been filed with capital one in regards to this issue

I ordered a torque converter on October 12 in the amount of $548.43 plus $52.10 for shipping. The $548.43 cost included a "flanged impeller hub/anti-balloon plate" which cost $239. I received the torque converter on November 2nd, but it did not have the anti-balloon plate on it. I contacted them the same day I received it and told them that I was due a refund of $239 since they failed to install the anti-balloon plate. I have been in contact with Ryan S and Maria S. concerning this issue and have not received any resolution. In addition to November 2nd, I contacted them on November 17th, November 26th, and December 9th. I have not received any response from any of my communications with Monster Transmissions. I simply want my credit card to be credited $239 as that is what they charged for the anti-balloon plate which they did not install before they shipped the torque converter to me.

I purchased a remanufactured transmission from Monster on November 15. The transmission arrived about a week later, and I installed it on November 23. Having performed multiple transmission replacements on this car and others, I am quite skilled at this task. However, I quickly discovered that the transmission was not functioning properly. On November 29, I reached out to Monster to address the issue, requesting a refund on the grounds that the transmission had not been tested as promised. I documented the problem in a video, which I uploaded to YouTube and shared with them for review.

Subsequently, I had the original transmission rebuilt by a local shop and reinstalled it using the same wiring and sensors. I recorded a second video demonstrating the successful installation and sent it to Monster as well.

Unfortunately, Monster ceased responding to my emails. When I called them on December 27, I was informed that they would not issue a refund, citing company policy. The cost of the non-functional transmission was $2,566.22, in addition to $200 for Royal Purple synthetic ATF fluid and the expenses incurred from rebuilding the old transmission. During this ordeal, I had to borrow a vehicle to manage my transportation needs. I am simply seeking reimbursement for the funds paid to Monster Transmission for a product that was allegedly tested but evidently was not.

Additionally, we are now burdened with the storage of a transmission for which a refund has been denied and no pickup has been arranged. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. You can reach me at any time via phone or email. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Monster Transmission & Performance Incorrect transfer case sent

Incorrect transfer case sent. Company said they'd work with repair company to cover costs. New case was sent installed but it had leaks. In Mar 2020, I ordered a transfer case (XXXXXX). In April, transfer case was delivered and repair company tried to install. the transfer case was not the correct case that had been order and would not fit properly even though it was marked with the correct model/style numbers. April 17, a representative of MonsterTransfer (LeannL) called me to inform me that a proper transfer case was being sent to the repair company and that she would work with the repair company to cover the attempted install and removal of the incorrect case. May 1, the new transfer case was delivered and installed. I tried calling monster transmission to have them cover the cost incurred due to the incorrect case. May 8, I paid the repair company for all cost including the charge incurred due to the incorrect case. After driving the car, home I noticed a puddle of fluid on my garage floor. I could not get calls answered. May 10, I sent email to customer service (reply XXXXX##). Explaining the situation with the incorrect case and the faulty case. May 13, I took car to another repair company. They indicated the transfer case seal was not properly sized to preclude leakage. They repaired the seal. May 14, again not response to calls. I sent another email to MonsterTransmission indicating that I believed they should be responsible for the charges incurred from installing/removing the incorrect case ($317.50) as indicated by their representative (LeAnnL) and the charges incurred to correct the improper seal ($201.49) under the stated warranty. May 21, again no calls from me were taken by MonsterTransmission. I sent another email requesting a response to my original email (ticket XXXXX) was established (new ticket XXXXX). July 22 and July 24 voice mails left with Monster Transmission agent (LeAnnL). no response was recieved. July 25 another email was sent to customer service. I again explained the situation. Response new ticket (XXXXX) indicated they would respond. As of today I have not received any response either calls or responding to the ticket established.

Bought a Transmission from Monster. It has been 8 months and they have sent 2 transmissions that have not worked. I ordered an AODE they sent a 4R70W. I have told them this over the phone multiple times. The 1st transmission was slipping out of gear and cutting the car off it also made no power never even put 5 miles on it. After months of trying to get a warranty they finally took it back. 2nd Trans. They send me the same trans a guy named Kevin had his name on the bell housing they covered 1/2 of it in spray paint. It came strapped to a pallet with no fluid ( I paid extra) no custom torque converter (also paid extra) still not an AODE. I have texts from their build team where this trans was processed in like a hour. Does NOTHING no drive no reverse nothing. Get on the phone with their warranty department who tells me it's a "stacked pump" before the trans is even sent back to them. They make me sign the same warranty paper as the 1st damaged trans again (this time I could not wright that the trans was broken all of this should be on recorded calls) sight unseen to almost hold the trans ransom. The whole interaction is shady. Parts is a pretty cut and dry business. Of course the 2nd transmission failed due to installation error "Stacked Pump" which really means THEIR installer did not grease the pump.(Again no Drive no Reverse EVER from startup) I've given them every opportunity to make this right and all of the time 8 months on a trans is AMAZING. Has been since MAR 22. At this point I don't even want their transmission. They are in possession of the transmission, my money, custom torque converter, fluid, and my old tail shaft from my old AODE. I'm also out my installation costs and so many hours of wasted breath. Just wow. I don't believe they are trying to make good on this. I have their communication log or lack there of and phone conversations with the receipts they have sent me if we need to proceed that far.

I purchased a rebuilt transmission and transmission cooler from Monster Transmission with a 3 year warranty, little did I know at the time they do not manufacture transmissions. The advertising of testing each transmission in their test vehicles on site is also false. The transmission I purchased failed 2 weeks after my mechanic Robert at Quality Automotive, located on East Main Street with the phone number [protected] installed it. I was then directed to Aer Manufacturing where I was told that's where it came from. Then I was told it came from AER Precision Transmission, located on East Second Street, the same company different name and location. The contact's name is Aaron (email@ptginctx.com, [protected]). I told Aaron that I would need another transmission cooler since their transmission ruined the new one I purchased and he said they did not sell me the first and it could be flushed, no professional I spoke with agreed. Monster Transmission agreed to send me a new transmission cooler which was nice but the first one was still under 30 day warranty so maybe not so nice. Aaron required photos of the transmission pan which my mechanic took and I sent them in (I still have the photos if you need to see them). You can speak with my mechanic as to the condition of the unit, the part number LP123456 from AER Precision Transmission. They agreed to reimburse me the labor for my mechanic, I gave Aaron my contact information to send the check, after waiting weeks I called and he said he will speak to his accounting department and get back to me. This never happened so I called Monster Transmission and gave them the original order number MT123456 and the warranty number 789012. I was then told that they will not pay the reimbursement for labor because it was put in wrong or something. When I said I would report them if they did not honor the agreement it was a joke to them. I had to pay my mechanic for the same job twice in less than a month. In the amount of $1,102.78.

I ordered a custom built HD transmission in July and was told 6-8 weeks before I received it and that I would be updated throughout the process. When the order confirmation was sent it said I was aware that it would be 8-9 weeks. It also said I declined converter upgrades I was never offered. I never received an update so after countless phone calls of asking what the status was and no one having an answer, they told me around the 9 week mark it was expected to ship the following Monday, it didn't. I finally received it after 12 weeks and found the transmission in a plastic bag full of transmission fluid with the plug laying in the bag and a converter that looked like it was pulled out of a swamp inside the crate. I sent it to be painted and was told with nothing more than wiping it down with wax and grease remover all of the factory coating peeled off. When installed the full case of transmission fluid they sent went in, two in the converter 10 in the transmission. after starting the vehicle it was slightly low. Called Monster to find out what compatible fluid I could use and once again got their famous line "Ill have to check with our "experts" and get back to you". Its a week later and am still waiting for that response. After some research on my own I added two more quarts of fluid and test drove the vehicle. Pulled out of shop, let it warm up, backed up 10 feet and then back to drive. Noticed a pretty loud 1st gear whine it shifted to second no issue shifted to third no issue. Manually shift down to second fine, manually down shift to 1st no engine braking. Drove back to shop, try to back down driveway, no reverse. Called to discuss a path forward on Monday, on Wednesday they told me the only thing they could do was take it back and look at it themselves. After waiting 3 months to get it, the condition it arrived in, the problems now and the overall customer service to this point I do not feel comfortable letting them do anything further and wasting more time.

Monster Transmission & Performance Did not explain terms and conditions at time of purchase and was late on order forcing me to rent a truck

Did not explain terms and conditions at time of purchase and was late on order forcing me to rent a truck. 3 June made a order for a mega monster transmission 4L60E custom built transmission over the phone with a sales representative at Monster Transmission. During that order I explained, I had to have the transmission no less than 5 weeks As I would need it to replace my broken OEM 4L60E in my 2006 GMC canyon and that I would need my truck from a month long camping trip starting on July 19 coming up in 6 weeks. The sales representative at Monster Transmission said no problem and told me it would take 3-5 weeks max, also he never told me about the "core fee" or discuss any terms or conditions. Repeatedly called them starting late week 3 and was told it was in build process and was unknown how long it would take. Kept calling them late week 5 was told I "ordered the wrong transmission" and I should have order a "Quick Ship transmission". Also that my transmission would be ready by Monday July 15th next week but would not be painted the color I requested. I received my transmission Thursday 18th, with out the needed items to install it, the transmission fluid, the transmission cooler or chrome oil pan with drain plug. Also the transmission came from a company called Advanced Power train Solutions 4114 Linbergh Dr, Addison Tx...Monster transmission didn't even built this 4L60E...They got another Complaintsboard.com F rated company to build it WTF. So now I'am leaving for vacation Friday 19th and have to spend $2000 on a rental truck to make my reservations. The new transmission and my truck get put in my garage to wait 30 days until a return. I return and Monster transmission contacts me wanting their "Core Fee" as under their "Terms & Conditions of Sale Order Verification" that where not discussed with me, I was past 30 days limit to return the core and they want $500 "Core Fee" I told them that was not possible and that I wanted to return the Core and they told me no they wanted $500 for the fee. This week may 17th I got a text telling me they where sending me to collections if I did not resolve this fee with them. Called them today May 18th they told me "even if the sales representative didn't discuss the core fee with me that I was responsible for it...I told them they where responsible for my $2000 rental truck and that was my undisclosed terms of service when you do business with me...And they sent my bill to collections.

Monster Transmission & Performance Everything they shipped something wasn't right about it, took 4 months for everything to get here and transmission went out after 120 miles

Everything they shipped something wasn't right about it, took 4 months for everything to get here and transmission went out after 120 miles. Order number- *** Order date- 3/9 Arrival date-6/5 Payment amount- $2,943.90 Payed with the pay tomorrow method We ordered a th350 heavy duty performance 9" tail with a [protected] stall converter because it will be a street/strip truck it just never made it there. We ordered a kickdown cable with torque converter bolts for a 1981 c10 (Chevrolet) and they sent us ford kickdown cable and ford nuts. I ordered the aluminum pan with drain plug and it did not come with the transmission so we called them for the 20th time and they said they can't ship us the right pan so they gave us a refund. (Then why is it on their website?) when the transmission arrived (without the torque converter) on 5/18 I took off the pan just in curiosity to see if they actually tested it, and there was metal shaving all In the pan but I thought maybe it was just from a break in process and I was going to change the fluid after 500 miles anyways so no big deal. So I installed it on 6/5 filled with fluid and it felt good but you could hear the pump whine every now again which worried me. (Trans is good on fluid, and torque converter is seated correctly) I drove it for a couple days as a daily just putting some miles on it. It felt good, but I had no engine braking when I manually put it into 2nd or 1st which meant something is not right inside, tried calling them multiple times no answer, so I continued driving it because I thought nothing was wrong when it's just in drive. The next day it started to be slowly engaging into gears and slipping into all gears i stopped and had to have someone trailer me home. That night 6/8 I took off the pan and I was horrified at what I saw the pan was full of clutch Material and metal shavings at 120 miles. I never even got hard on the transmission yet because I was waiting for 500 miles and change fluid so it has some time to break in, but the transmission literally self destructed it's self in 3 days. We called them this morning 6/9 and asked for a refund because clearly I don't want to wait months again for it to fail a couple days later, but they said they don't refund "custom built" transmissions. Mine isn't custom built I ordered it straight off the website Everything was on default but the pan and that didn't even come. They said a manager will call me back, but last time they said a manager will call they never did.

Monster Transmission & Performance The company advertises a 3 year warranty making it seem like it is completely free to the consumer when it is not

The company advertises a 3 year warranty making it seem like it is completely free to the consumer when it is not. I bought a transmission in Feb of 2019 for a truck I am restoring. I have driven the truck maybe 50 miles since having the transmission installed by a mechanic. It has been sitting in my driveway for over a year being restored and the transmission started leaking fluid so I took it to the mechanic again. The mechanic found silver metal pieces in the fluid and recommended I get a new transmission. I called transmission factory which is a distributor for monster transmission where I initially ordered the transmission from. I was told I'd get a call back that day which I didn't so I called again the next day and talked to an agent who then emailed me the details of the warranty process. He said it was going to cost $558 to ship the faulty transmission back so they could inspect it and deem who was at fault for the transmission not working properly. This is absurd as that amount is half of what I paid for the transmission initially plus I would have to pay for it to be installed by the mechanic again which would be another $400. I called again asking to speak to a supervisor and was told I'd get a call back that day. I waited 3 days with no call from them so I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. The gentleman said he didn't have one that talks on the phone and proceeded to say he was the highest phone agent in the call center. When asked why I would have to pay a shipping cost that is half the amount of a new transmission when it was under warranty he had nothing to say other than that he had no control over it and that the warranty covers the repair or replacement of the transmission. Why would this business offer such a terrible warranty? Why would I want a warranty where I would still have to pay almost $600? He had no intentions of resolving the matter or keeping my business he just kept arguing with me! He also said I should have inspected the transmission when it was received which I did and there were no outside damage that I could tell. The issue it is having is internal which he implied I would have had to take the transmission apart to inspect it and put it back together which is their job to make sure their product works before shipping it to the consumer. How can I put my trust in a company that makes me pay almost $600 to send a faulty product back and possibly receive another faulty product since they don't inspect the transmissions properly before shipping. Then I would be out $600 and a transmission. This is not right to the consumer and it is not right how I was treated by the gentleman named Ben that I spoke to. There was no resolution.

Monster Transmission & Performance I ordered a new transmission and not only recieved the wrong shaft, but a unit that was built with used parts

I ordered a new transmission and not only recieved the wrong shaft, but a unit that was built with used parts. "I ordered a Turbo 350 Heavy Duty 4WD transmission for my truck. I was informed by the professional that I needed a "short shaft" transmission, and it in-fact should have been a long shaft. You can clearly see on their site they state "TECH INFO & EXPERT ADVICE We're transmission experts, recognized by some of the greatest and most notable technicians in the automotive industry. Trust us to steer you in the right direction, when you choose to DIY." I tried to contact them to see about having the error resolved, I was told that I had to pay approx $300 to send it back. One employee told me I could have a local garage fix the issue. I took it to the garage to get a proper shaft put in, only to find that the brand new transmission that was built for me was in-fact built with used and wore out parts and had no shift kit. When I attempting to call about the problem I left voicemails with no return call, and ultimately ended up paying $698.00 to have the transmission repaired. When I called to see how Monster Transmissions and Performance could rectify the situation, I was first told they would need to confirm the garage used to fix the transmission was a verified business and they would need a copy of my repair invoice and receipt. I was then told someone from the claims/warranty department would contact me back after their lunch break. I waited over an hour and then had to leave for work, asking my wife to call back. She was then informed nothing could be done, then again we needed to send the parts invoice for the repair, then was placed on hold. When the call resumed, the employee insisted they were not responsible for any problems the warranty was void. My wife explained that multiple attempts were made to reach an employee, "John", with no luck, and that the final attempt we were given the "ok" to take the transmission to a local garage. The employee then stated that her manager informed her nothing would be done, and that the off-colored clutches were supposed that color because they were "high performance" parts. My wife them asked for an email copy of our sales invoice and warranty forms, which we had never received after the initial purchase. The employee insisted she would email it right over. After a while, the email was not received and she thought maybe they had an incorrect email address, though she verified the spelling of it twice and emailed the address the employee had given her. They finally responded with only the invoice. I spent over $1600 on this transmission, being told it would be brand new, and then ultimately had to spend another $698.00 to have it fixed and functional. I simply want reimbursed for the extra money it took to make the transmission a functioning unit. - Attached is a copy of my invoice from the initial purchase as well as information and billing from the garage that fixed the product sold by Monster.

Monster Transmission & Performance Monster transmission sold me a transmission that was advertised incorrectly

Monster transmission sold me a transmission that was advertised incorrectly. And was not build well enough to last over 150miles. 10 March I purchased a "heavy duty" AOD transmission capable of holding "450 HP" 9 weeks later it showed up, which was 3 weeks longer than promised. I installed the transmission, filled it up with 12 quarts of fluid and adjusted the TV cable per monster transmissions specifications. 150 miles later it would no longer shift out of 1st gear. I called monster transmissions to use my warranty only to find out that it covers very little. Tow fees, shop labor, diagnostics, shipping, fluid, transmission removal fees or rental cars are not covered under warranty. In order to use my warranty I would need to have a diagnostic test performed which would be payed for at my expense ($200) along with $550 dollars just to ship it back! Monster was unable to tell me how long it would take to repair. With this being my daily driver and myself being active duty, not having a vehicle, removing the trans, shipping it to Florida and waiting god knows how long for them to send it back wasn't an option for me. After reading customer complains on the complaintsboard.com I found out that monster transmission routinely "fixes" customers broken transmissions only for the customer to have the same issue a couple hundred miles later. There were reviews from people on their 3rd or 4th transmission.. After reading reviews like that I decided to have a local ATRA certified shop repair my transmission. It would be cheaper than towing my truck, removing the trans and shipping it to Florida and it would be done right the first time. I called monster transmission and spoke to a representative and told them my intentions. The lady on the phone informed me that if I provided the paperwork from the services and if it were a ATRA certified location that we might be able to work out some sort of deal. Well I brought it to the shop and they ran a diagnostic test and deemed it to be an internal issue (stuck valve in the valve body lead to the clutch burning up) and not a installation error. After disassembling the transmission the shop called me to say that my "heavy duty" "high performance" transmission was nothing more than a bone stock AOD transmission with stock internal components.. glad I payed for the "heavy duty" option. After the shop finished fixing my transmission I called monster transmission again. This time they informed me that because The shop already fixed my transmission That they were unable to refund me in any way. They said that if I had called ahead they would have gladly worked out a deal with the shop that I had fix my transmission... if only they had told me this Information when I called ahead the first time... Well it's money spent, a lesson learned and a customer lost. It's a shame that some company's won't stand behind their product or their customers. All in all I spent 2,600 for the initial purchase and an additional 2,400 in parts and labor fixing my 2 week old Monster transmission. Monster transmission and performance refuses to help me in any way..

Monster Transmission & Performance Defamation of Character my nephew's transmission went out on his vehicle and didn't have the funds to buy a new one due to having to pay

Defamation of Character my nephew's transmission went out on his vehicle and didn't have the funds to buy a new one due to having to pay extensive hospital bills for his wife's dialysis due to her end stage renal failure. So myself and my brothers and sisters decided we would help. He was dead set on monster transmission due to numerous of his friends recommending them. So we all took a look and saw that transmissions were pretty expensive. So we were deciding on how to help him and saw that they offered financing through paytommorow. So we all applied for financing just to see who would be able to get approved for it and pretty much all of us got approved for the amount we needed for the transmission. Now after getting approved the transaction finalizes and then you wait for paytommorow to finalize the financing then they send you a link to pay $59 to set the financing in stone. Well I go ahead and pay the $59 thinking "great my nephew really deserves the transmission for all that he goes through". So I go ahead and tell my brothers and sisters and we ask we're going to pitch in on each monthly payment and pay it off within 3 months. So I give monster transmissions a call to check the status of my order and out if nowhere my order is on hold. Now mind you by this time paytomorrow has already released the funds for the order to monster transmissions. So why my order was on hold beyond me. So I then get told that me and my brothers and sisters are married as fraud due to the fact that we were all ordering a transmission to get sent to the same address using the same wifi, since we were all at my sister's house, so therefore the ip addresses matched. So they took it upon themselves to say that my whole family are frauds just because we were all trying to get my nephew a transmission. Before that though they said that paytommorow marked me as fraud. So they then tell me to call paytomorrow and have them verify that they are funding me and that is OK to go ahead with the order. Paytomorrow verified that they did not *** me as fraud and that monster transmissions were already paid and there was nothing to worry about and not to listen to monster transmissions any any fraud matter. They had been paid. I have proof of that also in form of email. So I contact monster transmissions again letting them know that paytomorrow want going to can then that all they had to do was login to there portal and see that they have been funded. Monster transmissions still wouldn't release the order to be shipped even after supplying them with the proof about what paytommorow emailed me. So I call paytomorrow and they said that they were going to talk there supervisor about this and then contact monster transmission and get this so settled and fixed. Well I call paytomorrow this morning and they said that they will not be going forward when after I paid and they funded the purchase because I had fraud in my credit report. There is absolutely no fraud on my credit report I check it constantly. Now they have my money and canceled my order due to my family so trying to help out our nephew in a time of need.

Monster Transmission & Performance Purchased a 700R4 transmission that arrived with broken external and worn out internal parts

Purchased a 700R4 transmission that arrived with broken external and worn out internal parts. Monster would not return my calls or honor warranty. 1. 700R4 Transmission was purchased for $3109, and sent to me broken Oct 24 2019. Order # XXXXXX. I simply tried to contact the company (as can see by their own call log) multiple times and only once received a call back. The one time I received the call back was to verify the information that I gave them again and totally not productive. I actually sent an email too, that they have not listed, that said I'd like to return the unit because it was not received in a condition that would allow me to install or use it functionally because of broken parts, missing parts, and wrong parts. Pictures and video of the transmission have been taken as evidence that Monster has sold me a transmission that is not in the condition that they declared it was when they sold it to me. I needed the vehicle for transportation to work, so I tried to take the easiest route possible to fix the unit. This was all to no avail because Monster did NOTHING and never returned my calls or emails to help me. The originally disputed charge of 986.45 was $500 for the warranty (because they will not call me back to honor it) and $486.45 to repair defective parts within the transmission. An amount of $777.00 for a billet input shaft was already subtracted on a separate transaction on this credit card and is evidence that they attempted to charge me for something they didn't provide. I say this because this could only be verified by looking at the internals of the transmission and was discovered by chance by a reputable local shop to attempt to fix the other problems. After very obvious problems with the transmission were fixed, the transmission was evaluated for functionality and failed multiple tests. The online representative (John) that I spoke to regarding the purchase assured me that they made a specific "kit" for the conversion I was doing. This was listed on their webpage in the past according to John, but it had been removed for some reason previous to my purchase for an unknown reason to John. He still assured me that it was possible to set up the correct conversion. Due to the inability to get the Monster transmission into correct working order for the conversion, I was forced to purchase a different transmission and allow the shop to install it because again nobody would return my calls at Monster. At this point, it was obvious that I would need to just return the transmission and ask for a 100% refund. An email was sent per their online instructions requesting an RMA, and I received again no response. 2. It is very clear to me that Monster tried to sell me a poorly rebuilt transmission with broken external and internal parts. I have photo and video documentation I will send on a USB drive. I have also read multiple complaints by customers listed on the complaintsboard.com(Complaintsboard.com) regarding this very problem. Had I been aware of this issue, I never would have purchased from them. 3. I had to purchase an entirely new transmission b/c this one could not be repaired by the shop, and Monster would never return my calls to honor the warranty. Due to not being able to contact Monster, my credit card company would not honor the purchase protection b/c it was over 60 days.

Monster Transmission & Performance Can't seem to get the correct product and refuses to give refund I purchased a late model 4l60e that was rated for 500 HP from monster

Can't seem to get the correct product and refuses to give refund I purchased a late model 4l60e that was rated for 500 HP from monster transmission on their Black Friday sale. When speaking with the sales representative I made sure that it wouldn't be an issue to purchase the transmission now and have have it shipped out at the end of December because you have 30 days from receiving your new transmission to return the core and the vehicle was still being used. I also stated that I wanted the next step up from the stock stall for my 2005 Blazer zr2. The sales representative assured me that people have them hold transmissions all the time and that the stall that I would need to be 1650. After a week later doing research I come to find out that this vehicle requires a 2000 stall to make up for the power of the v6. when I called monstertransmission to double-check these numbers they said they have no way of looking up the vehicles factory stall and that there's no way of changing it because the transmission had already shipped out. After receiving the transmission and torque converter I had to spend $70 to send back the 1650 stall torque converter in hopes of getting the correct 2000 stall. I then realized that the transmission was an early model 4l60e and did not have a matching input shaft as a late model that came out of the vehicle. With the torque converter already on its way back and the transmission boxed up ready for shipping the waiting game began. I then received a 4l65 with a matching torque converter only to find out that the torque converter would not bolt to my flywheel. After many phone calls and refusing to do a refund they decided to send me a flywheel. once again the torque converter would not bolt up to the stock flywheel or the new aftermarket flywheel. after many more phone calls, pictures, and emails they asked me to take everything to a transmission shop. After driving an hour out of my way and letting the transmission tech speak on the phone to monster transmission they decided to take everything back and try to figure that out themselves. Naturally the transmission shop called me back with the correct flywheel after everything was picked up from the shipping company. I then called monster transmission to advise them of the correct flywheel needed and they said they were going to build a new transmission. After more weeks of sitting I once again received a small input shaft early model 4l60e with a 1650 stall. After arguing on the phone they advised me that that transmission will work and that that was a 2000 stall torque converter. I then sent them a picture of the identification sticker on the back of a torque converter and they agreed that it was incorrect. After receiving the 4th torque converter I went to double check the stall speed off the identification sticker and it had been removed. Once again I called them to advise them of the issue and they would not send out the correct stall speed torque converter or give a full refund. then after trying to redeem my core charge they advised me that it took too long and that I was no longer eligible. In the five months that my vehicle has been sitting disabled in the garage I have spoke with three transmission shops to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. all three of the transmission shops have advised me that it's the incorrect parts and that they have heard similar stories from other customers about monster transmission.

Monster Transmission & Performance I was sold a defective trans

I was sold a defective trans. Arrived DOA. Have been charged for all aspects of repair. Unit never worked. Feels like i was taken. MT-XXXXXX 12/30 I ordered a transmission from monster transmission I am an ASE mastertech with 20 years experience ASE-XXXX-XXXX , I currently teach in a State run technical high school. I know my way around cars/trucks as well as most. Upon opening the crate of the transmission it was discovered that the parking pawl shaft had backed itself out and was sitting in between the 2x4s on the bottom of the transmission. I photo documented this and contacted customer service. The "tech" that was put on the phone told me that if the transmission was assembled properly, spring pressure from the parking pawl would of held the shaft in. Well, it didn't. I was then advised to open the pan and reinstall the pawl. It was at this time I first asked to return the unit as I did not have confidence in a company that doesn't even use a bracket to keep the transmission together during shipment. I was told this was out of the question. I dropped the pan and reinstalled the pawl. As a racing enthusiast I have had transmissions in and out more times than I can count. I installed the converter and lined up each set of splines and then verified that it was seated properly. After the install we pulled the truck out of the shop. Reverse works fine but it has almost no forward and is slipping bad. I pull it back in and hook up the solus. Output speed codes. I monitor the sensor with the scope and verify its good. This is when I then contact customer service again. They let me know that this was not something that could be diagnosed and it would need to be brought to a shop for further diagnosis. I agreed and they gave me the name of the recommended shop. I was assured this would be taken care of and "monster transmissions" would make it right. The vehicle was towed at my expense 25 miles to *** The owner let me know that there would be a fee for diag and would get back to me. Later that day they called and said. "transmission is internally flawed, pressures good at idle. Drops off when in forward gears, Most likely a cracked front drum missed in inspection and assembly" I then called back to monster. Customer service says "send it back to us, if we are at fault we will take care of it" At this point I wanted to know what "take care of it" meant but no one would say. I ended up paying shipping back to you guys ? Why was I responsible for a DOA transmission I have no idea. Jasper has never provided me with a bad tranny or this experience. The tranny is now back at monster. The first customer service rep lets me know that they found nothing wrong with the transmission but replaced the pump and the torque converter just in case. I protest and say you may want to dig deeper. I call a week later after hearing nothing. This time "ben" tells me that they opened the bump and it was cracked and pushed back. It came across as if I were being blamed. I disputed this as a possibility. First, the transmission would have been making noise if the pump had cracked, it would of been cavitating. Secondly, the pressure was correct at idle. I am currently being stored $50 a day for storage while waiting on this to be resolved. It has been months! I complied with all requests. *** holds the highest certifications available for re-builders. At your recommendation I sent it there. They are claiming the information that "ben" gave me is completely false as it does not fall in line with the measured results.

Monster Transmission & Performance I bought a built transmission that blew up in 4200 miles

I bought a built transmission that blew up in 4200 miles. Its almost impossible to contact anyone for a refund or warranty purposes and I get ignored. Back in February when I ordered the transmission, I talked with one of their sales reps and he ran through the order. He picked one of the transmissions right off their website that was suitable for my build on my silverado ss. I gave him the specs of what my build was so he can pick the right stall/converter for my build. Once all of that was completed, he ran my card to complete the order. He told me that it would be 4-6 weeks for them to complete the build and send it my way. After 6 weeks and no emails or calls/texts on my update, I called them to see where it was in the building stage. The lady I talked to told me that they are rebuilding the transmission because it blew up on their dyno. I was already upset that they haven't contacted me about how they had to rebuild it and that their communication skills were not on point. 2 weeks later on 4/14 and 4/17 I got emails saying that it was in freight and going to be shipped. On 4/24 I finally received my transmission from Estes final mile and gave them my core for a return. I have no issues with Estes as they were very professional. I had the transmission installed by a ASE certified General Motors mechanic over the weekend of 4/25- 4/26. My rebuilt truck had 188848 miles when I put the built transmission in the truck with a fresh rebuilt motor. On 8/5 on my way home from work, I was on the freeway doing 72-73 mph and was going to switch lanes to pass someone when out of no where the transmission downshifted into 2nd gear from 4th and would not shift back into 3rd or 4th. The truck should've stayed in 4th gear when I was changing lanes. This was very dangerous that it happens because I had cars that were all around me and the cars behind me were coming up behind me. After I got off the freeway I got all 4 gears back for about a half mile and would drop back down to 2nd gear and would not shift. When I got onto Lake Drive ( the main road that I live on), I lost all gears and had to pull on the side of the road. I waited about a minute and decided to try again. Got moving, and lost all gears again. This went on for about 2-3 miles and happened every 100-200 yards or so. I eventually got home and called monster Transmissions warranty hotline and spoke to William D. and Tiffany s.. William wasn't the issue I had as I was really mad at the situation. I spoke to William on 8/7 and said he'd forward the emails I sent him of photos of what happened to Tiffany s. 3 days later on 8/10 I emailed William again on what was happening because I hadn't heard from Tiffany yet. He apologized and told me she would be calling me when she can as she had a few warranty clients ahead of me. I got a call from her on the same day I asked what was going on and I explained that I wanted a refund because the company delayed me a few weeks from the blown transmission and that the transmission I received only made it 4,214 miles. My truck is sitting in the garage now with 193062 miles. I also found out that the transmission I recieved was the transmission they blew up on the dyno and rebuilt it and sent it to me. She said they couldn't refund me as it was a "custom build". I told her that their sales guy picked it right off of their website page and that it wasn't custom if they took it right off their order list. So I told her that I wanted a refund or a upgraded transmission for everything going on and she told me that she would present it to her superiors and get back to me. I said okay and we ended the conversation. I pulled the transmission and as I was doing so I noticed that 2 of the many transmission pan bolts were missing and all of the transmission pan bolts were finger tight. They were not torqued to spec. I pulled everything on 8/21. I didn't hear from her for 4 days since so I called her 3 times on 8/14 I have the whole complaint saved but am running out of characters. Order number is XXXXXXXXX.I'm sorry it is a abrupt end Thanks

Monster Transmission & Performance The company misrepresented facts to earn my business and then shipped me faulty products built with incompatible early and late model parts

The company misrepresented facts to earn my business and then shipped me faulty products built with incompatible early and late model parts. I spoke with salesman Ben S. over the phone, texts, and emails. I put a $400 deposit down and a few days later payment in full. This is a long term project for me. 5 months later is just becoming ready to be on the road. I was drawn to the monster brand because of the major advertisements and celebrity endorsements they have. Final decision to go with Monster over a local brand my speed shop uses was the 3yr warranty that was extended out to 6yrs with the double wowanty package that I purchased. Local shop had a 6 month warranty. We build more than transmissions We build relationships. My relationship with Monster is an abusive one. They have $4500 of my money and I have broken products they wont stand behind and I am paying Aamco Transmission around $3,000 in parts and labor to fix. Ben S. did not know the products very well. He had to ask for assistance several times. I didn't mind. I prefer that I get a delayed correct answer than a quick wrong answer. Unfortunately I was given a delayed wrong answer many times. The initial order was written up and a $400 deposit given to hold the sale price. When I called back in a few days to pay the balance I realized my order was more expensive. I sent a few emails to different people at monster and Ben responded sorry he must have misunderstood and that he would correct the transmission pan upgrade that he added on after the deposit was taken by him. The next phase was a call from the Monster tech to confirm the details. The tech called and never read any of the notes because he offered me torque converter upgrades and warranties. I bought the*** SS Extreme. This was written up with the highest performance spec they offer. Level 4. They were no more upgrades available. I told him the trans pan was not correct and that needed to be deleted. He said OK and offered to apply the money towards an extended warranty instead of a refund. I get it, keep the money in house. But please take 1 minute and look at the order. I already bought the extended warranty. Emailed Ben with my fading confidence in the company and that the magical experience was disappearing quickly. He replied don't worry the invoice that I have is not accurate and not to go by that. An office lady said the trans pan pan would be corrected and my card refunded. That never happened. My trans gets delivered and I have 30 days to return my the core. I start getting messages that it has been almost tens days and they don't have my trans yet. 10 days is the normal return time. I was told 30days. I have emails from Monster acknowledging the 30days, and I ended up asking for several extensions which they were more than accommodating with me. Then I get a phone call saying its been so many days past the dealine that I need to call by the end of the week or they will charge me $400 non refundable core fee. I called before the deadline and they all ready charged my card. I was 100% in compliance with Monster and they charged me. I was able to get refunded. Finally ready to install trans. Trans bellhousing broke. I called monster and they said it has to be installer error. Replacement cost is on me. Trans is now bolted to the motor but I can't spin the Torque converter 360degrees to tighten the 3 bolts. I call monster and they say I am out of warranty. But 6yrs hasn't passed. 6yrs ha.ha. you had 30days. They didn't even see the extended warranty on the order. Finally acknowledged it and said well you are past 60 days. I tried to reach out to my salesman but he was fired. Keep calling trying to get this resolved. They will not handle this. No return calls. Not allowed to speak to manager. I took trans to Aamco and the pump was bad. I reinstalled trans and it made it around the block and broke. Aamco found early and late model parts mixed together which does not work. They said even if you were under warranty Aamco opened the trans and voided Monster warranty. But Aamco would never have touched it if Monster handled the issue
