over promising & under delivering
I heard about them and the great deals they have so I decided to walk in and check them out. My wife & I are in mid 30's and dress very nice. After we walked in, we got ignored not by 1, 2, 3 try 5 sales associates who walked passed us and never once smiled or acknowledge us. We felt really out of place but decided to keep browsing and we did find the furniture we wanted on our own. Now we had to find someone that is willing to help us purchase. It felt like self service station to us. Finally we found an order taker"made their job easy" that put the order together and a total of $3K. The issues began like this 1) The price tags didnt match the set we are looking at, we discovered that after the order was being put in so we had to start all over again but decided to pay the higher price becuase we liked what we picked out. 2) 1st promise delivery date was 3 weeks out but got pushed out 2 more weeks, then 1 more week and then 13 more days so now its been almost 2 month and we have no furniture that we paid for. After several attempts to contact store manager and non of the attempts are successful we decided to cancel the order and get our money back. Goood luck getting your money back without having to spend hours on the phone. After 2 days of phone tags and no speaking to the store manager, an associate took the information by phone and got the order cancelled and now its a waiting game to get our refund. Bottom line, spend more get what you pay for. No More MOR funiture for us it was the first and last time! they really made used car salsemen smell like roses and I truley mean that...Very unprofessional, rude, liars, and SCAMMERS !

inferior products, bad customer service
We bought two curio cabinets back in September from Mor, we were unhappy with the quality since as soon as we opened the first box. The cabinet looked awful, the finnish was coming off, the legs starting pulling apart. Before we opened the second box we called Mor and got the royal run around as no one seemed to be concerned about the fact that we were unhappy with the quality of the cabinet or the fact that the cabinets were defective, in fact I was told it was my problem not theirs, once you receive it you own it, they even said that they would not take back the one that hadn't been opened, because " It was second hand now because the box had been in our house.
Well I loaded both of them back in my truck and brought them back to Mor and after getting jerked around for about an hour and a half, finally got told that I was stuck with the one that I had not opened, but they would replace the one that was bad.
Well it has been almost three months since that day and all I have to show for it is just empty promises, every time I call I get a different excuse for why I haven't received my other cabinet yet. I hope other people will read this and not be stupid like me and buy furniture at Mor.

poor everything!!!
DO NOT BUY AT MOR FURNITURE !
What a joke...
1-- Delivery between 2 and 6 p.m (what are they cable people?)... showed up at 7:30 p.m.
2--Furniture was supposed to be "wrapped" to protect from weather/transportation.. came with NO wrapping--stained, water spotted.
3-- One piece was soaked--went back to shop--new delivery? Dec 20th (it is Nov. 23rd)
4--Waited over 30 minutes on hold to talk with "Customer Service"
5-- Paid CASH for sofa ($1000)... was told they would "mail me a check in a week or so"...W.T.F.? If I give cash--I get cash back--or a INSTANT CHECK FROM MOR !
6--Would NEVER SHOP HERE--NOR DO I RECOMMEND THIS TO MY WORST ENEMY !
MOR FURNITURE--DO NOT SHOP HERE !

customer service/delivery promises
Do not buy anything from Mor Furniture if you expect to actually receive the furniture. It has been 3 months since I purchased furniture and accersories from mor - I have yet to receive everything.
Promises are made to make the sell and then yiou keep receiving calls telling you that the items are not in stock. They call you every two weeks and tell you Sorry your shipment has been delayed for two weeks. Once you do receive any items they are damaged and yiou have to return them. I have had to return items 3 different delivery times. Absolutely un-believeable! The same items! Good luck with ever receiving your items, and I paid Cash! Sure they want their money up front, but they don't deliver their end of the bargain. I will never ever buy another item from this store - And I highly suggest that yo don't either! Stephanie Denney

Sales wise, they are typical "car salesman" type, we knew what we wanted when we went in, but we let the salesman do his talk anyway..lol We were told our items were out of stock and would recieve them in 3wks. At the the 3rd wk, we were told 2more weeks. I was livid. I complained and blew up their phones until they found a way to get me my couches. A wk later, but with free delivery that came on time.
I guess I was a lucky one.
Do not order anything from Mor, there delivery is the worst ever. It may show up eventually if your lucky probably piece by piece. I am still missing one piece of furniture, they tell me it will be in a certain day then of course that day changes. I did get my couch on the correct date, but they had to come back three different times in one day. First they forgot the legs, then the forgot the pillows. What a reputable company. Good luck calling corporate customer service, you can be on hold for hours then they don't do anything except give you another runaround and broken promises.
They have the Worst delivery EVER! They promise to have it to you in a four hour window and call to tell you they can't make it! One delivery guy told me that I was his 9th delivery and he was on his 2nd at 10:30 pm! He told me he could Maybe have it to me by 4 am, UMMM NO thanks! you can keep your furniture! The Store personel is great but delivery is noooo good at all!
lies
My husband and I have been waiting for over a month to be refunded $2, 698.00 for a damaged curio cabinet and matching dinette set that was purchased at MOR Furniture in San Marcos, CA. HDL Delivery services is their sub-contracted delivery company that set-up our Curio cabinet incompletely. The second shelf collapsed and destroyed $800 worth of our China...

Hi
Mor furniture delivered a broken dining table, torn sofa, and a bed of 2 different colors!
My wife and I (newly weds), went to mor furniture showroom in tempe AZ, on the 25 of September 2009. We were looking for a dining room, living room, and bedroom. We looked around and were surprised at the nice things that they have. The prices were within our budget so we bought the following furniture:
1- dining room set and chairs for 800$
2- reclining sofa and recliner for 1000$
3- coffee table and 1 end table for 250$
4-1 dining table, 2 benches and 2 chairs for 700$
5-1 cal king bed, 1 dresser and mirror, and 1 night stand for 750$
We were amazed on how affordable the prices are. When we bought the above items, the sales person confirmed that everything is in stock and that the only thing that is missing is the cal king bed, and we should wait for it about 2 weeks. We agreed and said we can wait after we get back from honeymoon and we will receive the furniture. While we are on honeymoon, we received a call from mor furniture and they said that the reclining chair is back ordered and they are expecting it to arrive on November 5, 2009. We said that is ok as long as the sofa gets delivered. A week later, we get another call that the dresser is also out of stock and that we have to wait for that until November 23, 2009. We said thats a long time to wait for the dresser, but then we said what can we do.. its alright we can wait.
The delivery date came, and they scheduled from 3pm-7pm on Saturday Oct 17, 2009. My wife and I were heading to a have picnic at the lake close to where we live around 1pm, when we receive a call saying that the delivery will be there in 10 minutes! I was like wow, 2 hours prior to the time window they gave us! I turned around and head back home. 10 minutes later they show up. they started unpacking things. First, the brought in the bed rails, 2 were brown and 2 were yellowish in color. We mentioned that this is not acceptable and that we will not accept this item. second they brought in the dining table. While they were putting it together they noticed that one of the screws is not stable. So we had to refuse that item as well. Finally they brought in the sofa, and the middle part of the sofa's back was torn, so we refused that as well! the only things that they had right was the dining chairs and the coffee table. At this point, the deliver guy called the service center and they mentioned they did not have the bedroom is stock and they are not planning to order any more! This is when I knew that there is no dresser for the bedroom! either live we a two different color bed or no bed at all! From this point on, I called the sales person and canceled the order, and asked the deliver guys to take all the stuff back as they were all junk. The sales person was like, you will need to come over to the showroom to cancel the order. I replied by saying, well I can dispute the order with american express and you will have to pay me back since its a credit card. He was like give me a minute, and in 10 seconds he said: i just spoke with my manager and he said it was fine, and you should get the refund soon althought it might take upto 15 days. I called again asking for a cancellation number, and they said to wait until Monday because the cancellation department is closed. Ill wait till Monday and see what will happen then.
Thank you
M

I Agree very crappy furniture, and they keep replace your furniture with damaged parts, they don't even inspect their replacement parts, i had a broken wood in the bed headboard, they brought 2 replacements, both they were damaged and had to refuse after waiting days and days and 5 hours each time, no MOR any More
bad service to go with poorly made products
People listen to me. Never, Never, Never, and ONE Big never ! buy anything from this store. The quality is horrible and you will spend
a lifetime waiting for someone to call you back. Not to mention that your furniture is not worth the nails used to hold it together. This store is a joke.
My family purchased furniture from here. They delivered all the pieces over a two and half month period. We had to pick up some of the
bedroom furnitue ourself. Because we didn't want to pay an additional delivery fee. It wasn't our fault that the furniture didn't come in time for our delivery date. But most important we were given the run a round about our arrival date. This company takes your money then treats you like cow poo !
The only thing I like about this company is the Popcorn on the way out. I should have had the popcorn and exited the store before purchasing anything. This is the bottom of dumpster when it comes to service and furniture. Bad experience all around, and time wasted with phone calls.

Changing financing price
On 3.16.2009 my fiance and myself went into mor furniture to possibly purchase a sofa, long story short we ended up financing through TRS. We purchased a sectional sofa along with a Boise State recliner chair, the total price came to 1577.99 before tax and delivery. At the time Mor was running an add for free delivery and they will pay the tax. (which they take off the price of the furniture, you dont actually get out of paying tax) after the discounts of approx: 165.00 made the price approx: 1415.00, the rep Ryan from TRS very quickly went over the contract we signed and put 600.00 down. Which they did not put towards the furniture, they put it in what they call a reserve account incase you can't make a payment one month. And with this 100% plus interest rate it makes it impossible to pay off in a timely manner. They also failed to let me know until later on that if you make a payment of more than what your minimum amount due is they also put that in that reserve account, It does not go towards the pay-off. The 600.00 we put down was split some weird way and put into two seperate accounts. So when the first payment was due my fiance and myself were out of town, and a gentleman named David calls and says your payment is due today just making sure your going to be in to take care of that. I apologized and said, "I'm sorry were out of town, just go ahead and make that payment with the reserve account." David said, "O.K. I can do that, but your still going to have to come in and pay on the sofa." With the problems we had in the beginning hearing this slightly set me off. I said, "How is that possible we put 600.00 down." "We put most of it in the recliner account, so I can make a payment for the recliner but you still need to make a 160.00 payment on the sofa." At this point I was livid he attempted to explain what they did and why they did it but it was all
gibberish to me. So I told him not to do anything when we get back we will just come in and speak with him.
When we went into the store David told us that Ryan messed up on the paperwork and is fairly new he apologized. I told David what I want to do then is make a payment on the sofa with cash then with they reserve account money make a payment on the recliner and then next month pay off the recliner. he said, "that would be fine." He gave us an approx: pay off for the following month of $165.00. So when may 25th rolls around I called to pay off the recliner and make a payment on the sofa, and Ryan gave me a pay off of 390 something. I told him that's not possible, and explained to him what we did with David. Ryan said, "I have got your account pulled up in-front of me and that's your pay off." I told him that dealing with you guys (TRS) has been nothing but a headache, and that I will just come in and speak with them once again. We went in and they had a little sign up that said went to lunch, so we left. The following day I went back in and spoke with Ryan and explained to him everything we did, he still stated that he doesn't know where I'm getting that information? I told him to pull out my paperwork and show me where he's getting these numbers from. He got the contracts out and began to look through them he then paused and said, "what the heck?" He looked through the contracts for approx: 5 minutes and didn't say a word. After that he stopped and said, "I'm not going to be able to figure this out in the next 30 minutes. So I told him to make me copies of all the paperwork and have david call me, he did not want to make me copies, he stated that I already had it. After a little arguing he made me copies. Ryan said,"I have the next 2 days off so he won't be able to talk to David about it until he comes back."I told him whatever just call me. I got to looking at the copies I recieved, I noticed that when we made they initial purchase we signed documents agreeing on the recliner purchase price, and there was a new document that we did not sign that someone went and changed the price of the recliner without our knowledge. And at the bottom wrote correct price. A few days after that I hadn't heard anything so I called David on May 25th. He stated that they haven't talked yet and would call me know later than Saturday to let me know what was going on. Neither of them called, David finally called on Monday the 1st and left a message telling me a payment was still due. I called again on Tuesday the 2nd of June and told David that I'm a little weary of the fact that they changed the price of the recliner without consulting us 1st. Once again he said that,"Ryan screwed up on the paperwork and put in a extra discount." I told him I was going to look into it more and call him back today June 2nd 2009. Which brought me to google TRS and see if anyone else has had similar issues. My plan is to call him back and tell him to change the price back to they amount we signed on or we will go to a higher power. We will see what happens, I urge everyone to stay away from TRS. It's to bad that mor furniture a company that has been around for years would allow another company like trs to work out of there store and represent them while conducting this kind of business.

Yes they are running the bigggest scam out there o went through the same thing making extra payments and they would put it in some reserve account instead of applying it so i could pay it off faster Ryan Iam at a lost of words for him, if I wouldnt have paid so much down in the begining I would have told them to come pick up there cheap furniture. Can we get a class action law suit
Same problem here... I financed a couch and coffee table from Mor/TRS and paid $1000 into the principle payment our second month into the loan, our total finance amount was only $1299.00 and we had already given them a $250 down payment and delivery fee ( originally we were told delivery was free), so we only owed $263 total according to their "computer screen." Who knows if that was true. So the next month comes and I call to make the payment, they tell me that I owe nearly $500 to payoff my account! After arguing for over 30 minutes or more with a guy (who apparently no longer works there) I tell him to have a manager or corporate person call me. No one calls. I eventually get a call asking me to make my "late payment." I then was told that my due date had ben changed to the 1st from the 15th and that my late payment was taken from my principal payment made earlier! This change in due dates was company wide and automatic they tell me, of cousrse no notices were sent out. I said Im not paying for their mistake and I am perfectly fine with going to Court. Here's a timeline of events Ive created in anticipation of going to court:
• Financed Couch and Coffee Table from Mor Furniture with their EZ-Finance Option (TRS Finance Co.)
• Made first Finance Payment (approx..$250) to TRS and Paid for Delivery of our property
• Paid $1000 into the principle of the finance contract
• Called to make final payment of $263 and was told that I was late and there were late charges and that they had already taken the payment out of the previously paid $1000 that was supposed to go to principle.
• I explained that my due date was on the 16th of each month and that I had not changed it. Adam (TRS Employee) argued that I did change it, and that it is now on the 1st. I told him to look into it further and to have a manager or corporate person call me. He said he would but it wouldn’t matter, and that I owed nearly $500 more to pay off the contract instead of the $263.
• I waited for a call back, but it never came. I eventually got a call from a lady, who knew nothing about the previous conversation with adam, stating that he no longer works at TRS. She said that they made a change to their due dates for all customers, making half on the 1st, and half on the 15th. No notice was ever mailed or phone call given to notify anyone of this change.
• I explained that I am not paying the additional finance charges for the months in question due to the lack of notification of my due date change. I am not responsible for their mistake and that was not part of our agreement.
• I said that I could make the final payment and they can accept their mistake of not notifying me and this can be over, or we can go to court and settle it. I have no problem with letting a judge decide this. I am not the one who breached our agreement.
• I kept receiving phone calls from TRS on a daily basis sometimes several times in a row, all of which did not acknowledge my dispute. They just kept calling asking me to make another payment because I am late; most were from different phone numbers and different people each time.
Ever heard of "Rent to Own" where you end up paying quadruple? All you poor people are walking into the same trap with this TRS group. Also, your deposits are being held probably in a nice interest bearing account for them. Then, if you are buying from Mor no doubt you are paying way too much for imported merchandise from a communist country, namely
China. How does that make you feel? Mor buys it dirt cheap and then hoses you in price and with TRS. Buy American first of all and pay cash--end of story!
TRS is a SCAM! I went to Rooms to Go with my wife to purchase four pieces of a living room set (sofa, love seat, chair, and ottoman). The sales lady introduced us to TRS, the "in-house" financing plan. The four pieces together would have cost, with taxes, $1870. I thought this was what would be financed...not so. Once TRS factored in their processing fees, leasing fees, and taxes, the total finances would have been $[protected]! Are you kidding me?! Buyer beware, this type of financing is not good. I thank God for my wife asking the question, "roughly how much we would pay if we couldn't pay this off in three months?" DO NOT USE TRS!
Their big thing is that, "this will help your credit." $1100 worth of alleged credit help for 4 pieces of furniture is a joke!
I totally agree, TRS, is wayyyy pass a ripoff! I recently purchased a livingroom set from Rooms To Go...Sofa, loveseat, 2 end tables, center table, and 2 lamps. Well, the total came to a little over $1150.00. I could not afford to pay for it in cash at that time, however, would have came out better paying it that way. I was introduced to TRS, by the sales associate. When I spoke with a TRS rep, he told me I would have put about $350.00 down and pay about $205.00 a month with agreement of 2 years. At first, I was sort of shocked in regards to the down payment because I have never had to pay that much down on furniture whose stores have REAL IN HOUSE FINANCING! Anyway, after further being explained about program, I became even more shocked that 98% of the monthly payments would be going towards leasing fees and taxes...after a 2 year period...mmm, let's see, that's about $5000. Anyway, I decided to go ahead with the contract (it was actually 3) and get the furniture...because of what I was explained, I could pay off a piece anytime I wanted to and would only have to pay the payoff balance for that piece with sales tax, if the piece was over my monthly payment. And besides, I really wanted the livingroom set...it was on sale. So I paid the down payment. A couple of weeks later, 5 days before my due date, I called to verify the payment process and to get the total payment amount for the piece I was going to pay off. I was told the same thing, by a female manager, pay the payoff balance for that piece with the sales tax...that came to a total of $405.80. Came in and paid that amount...no problems. Ok, couple weeks later, I call to inform them that I may not be able to have the whole amount to pay off another piece/contract (the 2 end tables, center table, and 2 lamps), therefore, I wanted to see how much I would have to pay for just the tables vs. the whole contract. I was then told by a different female, if I pay off this contract, I would have to pay the payoff balance, sales tax, and the lease fee for the other contract (which was the sofa). I was outraged! She told me that is the way she understood it. I told her that is not what I was told...I was told I would only have to pay the payoff balance and sales tax, which should have came to the previous amount of $405.80. Spoke with the same female manager and she confirmed I would only have to pay the $405.80, if I paid off this particular contract. However, if I only wanted to pay a separate piece off the contract, I would have to pay the payoff balance for that item, sales taxes, and lease fees on other items not being paid off...which was about $350.00. So I decided from that point, it would be better for me to just pay off that contract. Well, low and behold, I get there the day before monthly payment is due and is told I have to pay payoff balance for the contract, sales tax, and about $75.00 (lease fee) for the sofa I was not going to pay off. I was only expecting to pay the $405.80...and now I get slapped in the face with an extra $75.00 charge. I was hot! And the funny thing is, all three reps were in TRS center. The guy and manager tried explaining it to me, however, I decided to pay the whole thing off, which was a little over $850.00. No sense in arguing over something that is not going to change. However, what I did not understand is why I now have to pay the lease charge for the item not being paid off when I didn't have to pay this the first time. What I mean is, when I paid the loveseat off, I didn't have to pay lease fees on the sofa and tables/lamps. It really confusing to understand something when you have different people telling you different things. And it's very sad that rooms to go have a financing company like this ripping people off left and right. This is a real disgrace for hardworking people who can't afford to pay for furniture in cash or have great credit and can't get credit card approval. Not everyone is that lucky...doesn't mean that they are not good, decent, hardworking people.
just payed my trs account off today--had similat experience----THEY CHARGE YOU TAX IF YOU PAY TAX ON YOUR FURNITURE OR NOT FROM MOR FURNITURE----SO IF YOU PAY TAX ON YOUR FURNITURE YOU ARE CHARGED AGAIN FOR TAX ON YOUR LOAN WITH TRS---that is not explained to you at all so watch out! I don't mind paying for higher interest on items due to my credit but give it to me straight in the beginning and let me decide---frauder!
bad service
I recently bought a leather sectional from Mor Furniture about a week after I got it the recliners broke so they brought out another one and the recliners broke on it.
They had me pick out another stlye which we chose a cloth sectional with a chaise a week after we got it the chaise springs broke they sent out a tech and he worked on it a few days after it did the samething.
I bought a unconditional 5 year warranty when I called back again they refused to fix it and offered me my money back I agreed.
The catch they had to pick up the furniture first and I could go to the store and get a refund they picked it up but now they say they have to go through their corporate office so now I have no living room furniture and am at there mercy.

I was planning to purchase a wall unit for my TV setup and when I saw their ad yesterday morning, I decided to check them out. When I asked about the advertised "No Sales Tax" and "Free Delivery" promised in the ad, I was told that it only applied to purchases over $999 (mine was $400). When I said that the exclusion was not mentioned in the ad, the salesman said that I neglected to read the fine print. To my mind this is very misleading. I haven't seen the ad since so I can't say whether the disclaimer is there or not - but I can say that it is not easily seen.
I would never use Mor furniture again, and I highly advise against purchasing from Mor. NO RETURNS/Exchanges - no business from the consumer.
At least they offered you your money back. I bought a sofa package and HATE the fabric. When I called them they said they have no return policy and I'm stuck with furniture I HATE! I even asked if I could exchange it, but no such luck. All the representative told me was that there was a service warranty. Doesn't help me any. I will never shop there again and will even talk people out of going there if at all possible. I can't stand this store!
Mor Furniture is the worst furniture company out there. THey scam you into going into some credit financing called TRS and in the end you'll end up paying triple the price of the original product. First they tell you its a one yr. plan and then all of a sudden 6 mo. after I've been paying monthly...they tell me it's actually a 2 yr. plan. I am not going to pay monthly for a bed and frame anymore...I was paying $110.o0 per mo. After 2yrs...that bed and frame would've cost out to be $2, 400. That doesn't sound like a price an average middle class american can afford to pay. Plus the frame was horrible...after only 1mo. of using the bed for just myself, the wood panels supporting the bed underneath started cracking. The wood itself was weak and poorly made. In the end, I canceled my contract with TRS...had to return my furniture and was not allowed to get any refund. I had nothing...even after paying out already $600. I hate Mor Furniture! Ohh yeah...and the customer service at the TRS financing(mor furniture's own financing agency) sucks too. The girl I had to deal with, Nina, was inconsiderate, liar, and worst customer service agent I've ever encountered!
great company!
I bought from them a year ago and they sell the same brands as other stores - including Ashley furniture. They were great with customer service and the low prices you could not beat. My family has also bought from them in Arizona and Seattle. The problems people feel with the financing is if you do not pay the financing on the due date two times in a row then you will get interest. As long as you pay your bill you will be fine. It is a great company - do not listen to the things others are saying because it is not true.

I didn't need any financing when I bought my furniture. I paid with my bank debit card since the bank was closed and I dint have $2000.00 cash on me. Yet I still got horrible customer service every time I called and my delivery date has been changed twice already when I was promised I would have my furniture in 3 weeks or sooner. Its been a month and I still have no furniture. I'm extremely disappointed and will never shop at mor again or recommend them.
horribly made furniture
My Husband and I purchased an entire bedroom set from Mor Furniture in Feb 2008. The bed was cheaply made and has since broke and now my mattress is on the floor. The set is still under warranty but I am getting the run around by these idiots. A tech came out and told me it was indeed a manufacture defect and that the bed frame was poorly made. I guess he forgot what he told me because he told is supervisor that it is customer negligence. I am beyond upset and everytime I call I get a different person on the phone the warehouse managers are rude and the sales people are wouldn't you know, no longer employed with Mor when I call back and ask for them. DO NOT BUY FROM MOR! I will never purchase from them again and I will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience and have them pass the word on...They should teach there employees customer service skills and they should also back their merchandise.

poor customer service / defective merchandise
My purchase from Mor Furniture has been an extremely unsatisfactory experience. When I walked into the store no one greeted me or offered to help, I had to ask for service. When my merchandise was delivered it was defective. The delivery guys delivered it at 6:45 pm after customer service was gone for the day and left before I opened the drawers of the TV...
Read full review of Mor Furniturepoor quality mattress
I bought a Therapedic Ultimate Sleep mattress from Mor Furniture few months back. The mattress felt good for a couple of nights. Subsequently both my wife and I started getting upper-back/neck pains. We contacted Mor Furniture within 10 days to return and/or replace the mattress. Their response was that it is a comfort issue and hence will do nothing about it. But the mattress was crippling our backs. It is defective plain and simple.
The sales associate at Mor was very sympathetic, but alas couldn't do anything to help our situation. On the other hand, the store manager was extremely rude and treated our complaint as a lie. I'd strongly recommend everyone to stay away from the store. They are selling poor quality products. And it's outrageous how they can still have such anti-consumer policies in this day and age.
I strongly agree that MOR Furniture for less has horrible quality stuff. I purchased a bedroom set that includes a Mirror, Dresser drawer, and a bed set with a $400 Air Spring Mattress. With in the a few months, one of the door handles disassembled and an the Mattress dipped in the middle. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable, so I recently had a service guy check the bed and drawer because it was still under warrenty. He fixed the drawer and I received a reselection for the Mattress. Problem is the mattress I purchased went out of business and am not able to reselect same brand. All the other comparable mattress are all higher price so I would have to pay the difference to reselect another mattress. The only option is to pay MOR furniture for more money to to reselect a mattress. The manager only gave me 30 days to do it. My 30s will by July 4th weekend, I may be forced to stick with same mattress if I dont want to shed extra. Don't be fooled by the looks of these furniture. They are poorly built.
bad customer service/no delivery date
We ordered a bed from Mor and the delivery date was delayed at least four times until I finally gave up and disputed the charge on my credit card. They would set a delivery date, then call (sometimes the day before) to delay the delivery date by a week. My theory is this: When you buy furniture from this scam company the salesperson gets you all excited about the delivery date which is the next week, knowing full well that it won't be delivered for another 6 to 8 weeks, like most other furniture stores. They then turn it over to their rude "customer service" rep who calls every week to delay the delivery. One other thing: We got a series of hang up calls which I think were the "customer service" people who were waiting for the machine to pick up because they knew I would get mad. One time I picked up and she said she was just "confirming the delivery date", then she called back a couple hours later to leave a message delaying delivery. THE SAME GIRL.
I assume that most people have so much emotional time and money invested to give up and just take the delays. This is what they hope for. I cancelled the order after the fourth delay and found EXACTLY what I was looking for on and internet site, ordered it and RECEIVED it before the last delay date of the bed from Mor.
DON'T SHOP AT MOR!
poor service!
I wish I had read reviews on Mor Furniture before I tried to buy furniture. I placed an order for a leather sofa/loveseat. Aside from the fact that by the time the order was done, the price was way above the advertised, there was nothing but trouble. I came to my senses and canceled the order. After I canceled with the store, the delivery company called...

Don't ever use HSBC Retail services if you want to apply for credit at MOR Furniture. You will absolutely regret it. The customer services is as poor as it can get. Don't expect them to be able to answer your questions and don't expect any return letters or phone calls. When you ask them a simple question, they all acted like robots and spit out the same ridiculous answers. They claim they can't access your account past one year. They claim they have not made any mistakes. Don't believe me... go to /link removed/ or householdwatch.com or complaintboard.com and type in HSBC Retail Services. Once my account is paid off I will never ever purchase from MOR Furniture. I even went through them to try to resolve my problems with HSBC and they told me just to pay my bill and shut up.
If you just paid your bill like you're SUPPOSED TO, you wouldn't be having issues. It's funny how it's THIER fault you can't pay YOUR bills!
see, I have never had a problem... then again I always paid my bill on time every time. Maybe this is the real issue?
lies about finance charges!
Hello my wife and myself f went to longs back in March of 07 to buy furniture and one of the sales rep informed me of the mors credit. So i applied and was given a credit of $1600 and i saw a nice sectional for $1999. I was only going to get one side of the sectional and pay the other side with cash, but the sales rep talk me into getting the entire sectional once we filled out the paper work everthing came to $2068, but the catch was the sales people that were there lied to us bout what the store credit was. There store credit is a lease program and there lease fees are over the top when we tried to complain about the misinfo to the Manager he stated that he was sorry but we are still obligated to the contract...
Just want everyone to know. Don't do the mors credit its a rip off!
HAHAHA stupid poor people.
This is exactly the scam they pulled on me, something needs to be done about this. I am Furious, I've been paying 160+ a month for a mattress and sleigh bed, when I purchased it the total would have been 2000, well if I continue paying TRS, in Total it will cost me DOUBLE. I was never told it was a lease aggrement. This has to be stopped!
poor service!
I purchased a sofa, reclining loveseat and matching recliner from Avondale showroom in July of 2007 on August 11, 2007, one month later, one of the boards on the back of the sofa broke so I immediately called for service. I was told they would send a tech to inspect the sofa, take pictures and determine what needed to be done. One week later the tech arrived, took pictures and said someone would call that day. When they called I was told that they would be out a week later to pick up the sofa for repair. I called and asked for a loaner and was told they don't do that. So I would have to be inconvenienced while my sofa was in for repair. However long that would take. I was told that it should only be one day, however when I called after pick up I was told it might be 3 to 4 days before I would get my sofa back. I expressed my concern with a repair when it was obvious that this was a case of poor workmanship and defective materials. I told the service center the a replacement would have been a better choice. When I called the service center prior to pickup and ask for a loaner, I was told they could not do that. I asked to speak with a supervisor and told that a supervisor would call me that day. That was on Friday, I never heard from the supervisor until I called back on Monday after pickup and no loaner. After speaking with her for a few minutes, she hang up on me. While trying to call back, I got another call from the service center to see if the sofa was picked up. I explained to this person that I was speaking with the supervisor and she hang up on me. She apologized, however it was not her place to apologize for her supervisor. I asked for the supervisor's supervisor and was given his name. A few minutes later the supervisor that hang up on me called back to say she did not hang up, however I explained to her that the phone went dead in my hand and I sure didn't hang up. She told me that I was yelling at her, I told her I was not yelling, merely expressing my dissatisfaction with the way this whole matter was being handled. I asked her how she would feel if she purchased something and felt the quality was less than perfect. She told me that I agreed to have the sofa picked up and repaired. I asked her if I had another choice, she said no. So I asked her what I was suppose to do. She told me there was no real estimate as to when I could expect my sofa returned. So I'm inconvenienced for however long they decide to take to make the repair. I sent three emails to corporate and after sending received confirmation and a message that someone would contact me within 2 business days. I have not heard one word from corporate. Some customer service. I purchased the extended warranty and wonder if I will go through the same hassle if I have a claim with them. I don't feel having to accept a repaired sofa is a fair exchange for broken merchandise within a month of purchase. If this had been a TV, etc you could return it and receive a new one without this hassle.
I too am a victim of MOR FOR LESS (service/quality). I bought a recliner that was suppose to be delivered in a week; 18 days later, it arrived. Although it looked nice, it was lopsided; the right seat was higher than the left. I called and it took weeks for a technician to come out. He took pics because the chair "looked" good, he deemed it was just "normal wear". He did not inspect the chair. He assured us that Customer Service would call the next day. They did not, so the following day I called them. The assistor said it was "normal wear" and no correction was warrented. Again I explained, and was assured the manager would call me back. And again, no call back. I've heard stories about MOR, and am kicking myself for trusting them. If you read this, DO NOT go to MOR.
NOt surprising at all to see all those complaints. I feel better in a way that it was just me being paranoid or something. Their service center people are the rudest persons and they totally lost my trust and money. I moved to a new place and I can tell you I bougth sets of brand new furnitures every where else but from them. I will make sure I share my terrible experience with everyone. They do not deserve customers as people do not deserve to be treated this way.
I ordered a sectional and coffee table on Feb 29, 2008. I did get the couch the next day, but I am still waiting on my coffee table. First I was told it would be March10th, and here it is April 1st and I still haven't got it. When I call I am told they don't know, tried calling again was told it's on backorder. This is ridicilous. If I wasn't so busy I would ask for my money back and go somewhere else. I do know I will NEVER shop here again!
horrible quality - warranty scam!
August of last year I purchased a couch, loveseat and sofa chaise at the Tempe, AZ Showroom. In June, I discovered one of the boards was sticking out the back of both the couch and loveseat - nails are visibly poking through the fabric plus in the same left corner of the deck of the couches is ripped. I paid $50 for a technician to come out and possibly...

Mor Furniture is horrible! Never buy from them unless you are willing to accept inferior quality with no warranty and absolutely no customer service. My mom bought a couch and loveseat from them and the day after it was delivered she called them and told them it was falling apart. Nails popping out of the back and the fabric did not cover the reclining ends properly, they said they would send someone out to look at it exactly a week later. That person shows up and says they will replace the backs of the couch and loveseat and that if she sat on the couch long enough the fabric would stretch to cover the recliners properly...this is their solution for a 1 week old brand new $2000 couch and loveseat. We called and told them this was not good enough. They NEVER call you back and will not let you speak to a manager. Now they are saying that all of their recliners are like this and that they only cover manufactures defects and they do not believe this is a manufactures defect. I guess 235 BBB complains should tell you something. Mor Furniture means Mor BS.
Mor furniture is horrible. I purchased a bedroom set from them 7 months ago. Last night I went to sit on my bed and the screws that held the side board and foot board together ripped out!
I contacted their service center in Fresno and was first told that they were not going to repair it because it was NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR! AND IT WAS NOT A MANUFACTURER DEFECT! And I was at fault because, I SAT ON MY BED!
I contacted the customer service center and the gal over there tried to help me the best that she could, she even had the service center manager call me.
The service center manager then had a SLIGHT change of heart. She said that if I brought the damaged part of my bed to them, they would try to fix it there. QUESTION: WHY WOULD I TAKE MY BED APART TO BRING YOU THE PART THAT WAS DAMAGED? DOES THIS MAKE SINCE?!
I'm still very upset and call the customer service center again. The customer service gal speaks with her manager who then contacts the service center manager, who then calls me again.
Now she's willing to send a technician out to my house, but I'll have to wait 5 DAYS! (Ya I'll just sleep on my NEW couches or the floor, I guess it's a better alternative to a bed frame falling apart!))
Or just do the alternative BRING IN THE DAMAGE PART OF THE BED!
Oh ya another alternative.. have my boyfriend repair it. (Those nails should have never been holding the bed frame together anyways! They were ripped out there is no tread. But hey I can make new holes and my bed will not be aligned! )
I should not have to make lot's of phone calls just to have something repaired. I spent a lot of money at that store! I'm still stuck on what I am going to do. Should I just wait and have them repair it? Or should I just do it myself? I'll be making this decision soon.
They weren't lying when they said "MOR Furniture" for LESS!
MOR FURNITURE SUCKS.
I bought a $1800 leather sofa with Insurance coverage was told that no matter what happens the sofa is covered, within 6weeks the leather buckled. Service came out took a photo called me later and said too bad we are not replacing, or repairing it. IT IS NORMAL FOR LEATHER TO BUCKLE..I called Henry my sales person, in the Glendale store, he said the same thing, I hope you can live with yourself, you mislead me. I never would have bought something that wore like a salvation army sofa and cost Robb & Stucky prices.
MOR FURNITURE YOU WILL BUCKLE SOON ENOUGH.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU WOULD NOT PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS SO DEFECTIVE AND WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, NOT YEARS OF USE.
I WILL DO EVERYTHING TO INFORM PEOPLE THAT YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL DO EVERYTHING TO GET MY MONEY BACK, AND YOU CAN HAVE YOUR ### SOFA...

cannot believe you. I was greeted right away as were all of the people that I personally recommended to go there. Sure you walked past 5 commissioned salespeople that simply ignored you and didn't want to make money. You sound like you are from another furniture store trying to keep people away from your competition
