I've been a resident here at Harbor place apartments for over four years. Never had any issues before, until this current rental staff. Back in July this year I received a new lease offer in the resident portal which was twice as much as my current rent. Never received an increase of that amount in all my years living on the property, I reach out to the office via emails and phone calls. From mid-July to September 1st, after several emails sent to multiple staff members within the office, with no reply. Along with numerous calls to the office, where the front staff always state "Management is in a meeting. Your call will be returned", no matter what time of day I called that was the response I would get, and never received a call back. I had no choice but to submit a 60 day notice to vacate at the end of my lease on Oct. 31, 2023. Being as though I never received any assistance from the rental office to assist with this matter. I was not going to resign a new lease to pay almost $3000 mo. for a one bedroom apartment.
It wasn't until Sept. 2nd, the day after I submitted my 60 day notice to vacate, I finally received a call from the office requesting to know "why am I moving?" I told the representatives that for over 6 weeks I've been contacting the office about the new lease offer amount, via emails/ phone calls with no reply from the rental office to assist. I attach all the emails I sent to multiple staff within the notice to vacate, along with the reason why I'm leaving. She apologized, but after 6 weeks of being ignored by the rental office about this important matter, is no excuse for their lack of concern for their residents.
And to make things even more frustrating, now that I'm looking for new resident, Harbor place rental office is not filling out the rental verification form that is needed by the new apartment complex I'm applying to. They had the verification form since Sept. 18th, and it's now Oct. 2 and the form has not been returned as of yet. The apartment rental office I'm applying to have called requesting the form. And I also have tried to contact the office about the rental verification form, but have not as of yet getting any assistance with this matter.
I'm hoping to get assistance with this matter as soon as possible! My 60 day vacate notice is submitted, and I have less than 30 days to find a new resident. Two weeks of that had been held up by Harbor place for not returning the rental verification form in a timely manner.
Mr. D. Agnew
Desired outcome: Please fill out the necessary rental verification documents that are being sent from apartment complexes I'm applying to in a timely manner.
