horrible hotel/ dirty, rude staff, no soap
The Motel 6 on Portland Rd in Salem the staff was extremely rude. Then upon opening the door there were stains and hair all over the blanket. There was no soap in the bathroom. It was listed as a room with a view and the only view was of the railroad tracks where the homeless reside. I would demand a refund if the person working didn't tell me that there is no point that they are a franchise so it would be pointless to even try. I've stayed in a few Motel 6's and was always pleasantly surprised. Well this will be the last time I ever stay in one

I made reservations for this motel for "Father's Day" weekend. My husband and I traveled out of town to visit a theme park and arrived a little after 10pm only to have to locate another place to stay. Upon entering our room there were cigarette butts on the floor. The restroom smelled of urine and when we peeled the blanket back on the bed, there were many loose hairs and the pillows were bunched up as if they were just used and the bed straightened to look fresh. It was absolutely disgusting! This was by far my worst experience with this chain.

The manager of this property (Mr. Mohamed) is living on the property. He's using the suite that is upstairs from the front desk as a mansion. I feel this needs to be investigated.
Additionally, similar behavior seems to be practiced by one of the assistant managers (Mr. Ali) as well. Just to let you know.
Other than that, the property seems to be run down.

I made a reservation thru Hotel.com for Motel 6 in Merrilville In. I always stay at Motel 6 because of your pet policy and no pet fees. I move people's pets back forth when they move. When I arrived at this location I was rudely Informed by a lady named Tames that this hotel had arbitrarily changed your standard policy of 2 pets per room to 1 pet. To make matters even worse it was my grandsons 11 birthday. We stopped early so they could go swimming, play the play station and have a nice dinner. Instead we ended up in a crappy nasty hotel because other arrangements had to be made as we had two dogs with us.All the extra time we had set asides was spent on the phone with hotels.com trying to resolve the issue. My grandson ended up have Chick Fil la instead of Red lobster. There was no swimming pool where we got stuck at. The hotel was so out dated it had a box tv so he couldn't play his PlayStation and an 11 yr old boy sat down and cried because his birthday was ruined. This lady was also very rude about everything. Hotels.com did the best they could but this Motel 6 totally ruined our evening and my grandsons birthday celebration. Shame on you guys. I think from now on I will just pay the pet fees and stay some where else.

I made a reservation online and checked in. On my way to my room there was a man driving around the parking lot yelling at hit baby momma. Should have knower right there to turn around and leave. When I got to my room and closed the door I noticed the used soap on the counter! I called and asked for the room to be cleaned again. No problem except she didn't clean it. So I cleaned it myself! I cleaned all the cleaners and broom and it was Mandy what I cleaned up. As I went to open the door and go to the office the handle on the door fell off! Are you kidding me? The put a screw in it and left. Looked at the towels and there was no wash clothes. We asked the housekeeper for a couple clean ones and she said they didn't have anymore until the shipment came in! So is this a hotel or your house!? At this point I just wanted to leave and get my money back. The manager in the office at the time told me I could get $10 back but that is all he could do. What? I had only been on property for maybe an hour, well within the 2hr limit to receive my money back. So now I have to pay another hotel tonight and I lost my money for this room as well. Since the manager said I couldn't get my money back after an hr of problems! I am very upset and will never stay in a motel 6 again.

Last week I stayed at the Motel 6 in Chino California off of Central and the 60 Freeway. The first room I had the sink was broke the toilet seat was broken and the bathtub wouldn't drain I asked to be moved to another room but they were booked full they didn't apologize they didn't even offer a partial refund or a discounted rate for my next 5 days that I stayed there the staff there was very unprofessional and very rude the maintenance man when he finally came on Monday he was the only one with the smile and the only one that was polite even the management there horrible they're on their phones constantly they don't apologize for anything I stayed there for 5 days and I'll never go back there unless I'm forced to $500 what I waste
not a safe place, filthy, unethical behavior
June 1, 2018 Tulsa, OK Airport location. I had a reservation at another hotel but found it was outside access to room. As a female traveling alone I do not feel safe in this situation. The Motel 6 was near and was an inside entrance. Entering the lobby I felt I was making a mistake but went ahead. The hotel clerk spoke loudly when giving me my room number the lobby had a number of men within ear shot. My room was disgusting with old gum stuck to the floor, towels had black stains on them, killed 2 bugs crawling on the floor, tub was stained and appeared dirty. I used the side door to retrieve something from my car and come to find the key card reader was completely removed from it's box and the door was unlocked. Meaning there was unsecured access to the hotel at all times! I was concerned about possible bed bugs that I found the towels that seemed clean and placed them on top of the pillow and sheet and slept on top of the towels. I slept in my clothes all night including my socks and shoes. Needless to say I did not get much sleep that night after driving 11 hours. This hotel needs to be condemned. I understand it is independently owned but it does represent the Motel 6 brand. I will never stay or recommend Motel 6!
black mold growing in the bathroom
My fiance and I have been staying at the motel in Sedalia No for 3 months and the bathroom has mold growing on the ceiling due to the bathroom above us flooding we have had water pour into our bathroom due to this. We were told today that we could move rooms and then it went to if I paid everything including tonight that we had to leave for 4-5 days so that they can fix the problem. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed ASAP. I don't see why we can not just be put into another room as we have not caused problems at any point since we have been here.

On June 9th around 6-630pm we arrived at Motel 6 110 Airport Frwy, Euless Texas, after we checked in we received our door key an a parking permit from the front desk clerk to place inside the car on the driver side in front window, the front desk clerk or the parking permit did not specify instructions in parking or any parking ordinances. We left and arrived back at the Motel around 10 pm I parked in reverse, we grabbed our bags proceeded to our room. Around 11pm I left the premises to get a bite to eat from McDonald I arrived back at 1125 or so and parked in reverse again, so around 215 security decided to knock on the door forcefully and startled us out of our sleep an requesting us to reposition our car or get towed we complied immediately. Per conversation with (Security) she stated, she saw us come an go earlier, but didn't mention any infraction before 11pm. Afterwards we were restless and felt unsafe for the rest of the night.
Options 1. Management could have solved the problem by calling the room, but room phone was out of order or could have called our cell phones.
Option 2. Could have came to use in a timely manner.
Option 3. Management should advise every customer about parking procedures and ordnances and post visible signs on the building and parking lot for the convenience and safety of the customer.
not a safe place
Checked into motel 6This afternoon around 1pm room window lock was broken. We want to lunch and came back and asked if we could get another room as we didn't feel safe they said yes and moved us to another room. Went and got our bags and looked for ice and one on our floor not working and went to next floor . Windows were smashed and just had blue tape on it glass all over again not safe. We went to desk and checked out and requested refund on our credit card. Both rooms they gave us were in bad shape. I think they could spend some money on repairs. Girl at desk developed attitude when we asked for a refund. Not happy and would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. It was on 100watervliet ave Albany New York
stolen documents
Worse motel ever. I left my important binder with important documents, money and check book in there and they claimed that they did not find it. The binder has my check books, my birth certificate, my husband's birth certificate, my kids' birth certificates, homework and other important documents. I checked in on Saturday June 9th and checked out Sunday June 10th from room 117.
If anyone can help us get our belongings back, please help us.
The managers were extremely unhelpful, rude and had no respect for our time. We drove from Albany to Columbus today on June 12th after waiting for 2 1/2 hours for a call back that we never received. We believe that the housekeeper who cleaned our room on Sunday has our belongings. There's no way that our binder would walk away without someone picking it up. It was very Disappointing that they ladies were so rude to me and my husband but were so nice and flirtatious to the young man that they were flocking on.

refusal to issue refund for bed bugs
On June 11, 2018, I paid for my daughter to stay at the Motel 6 at 820 S. Meridian Ave. in Oklahoma City, OK. There were dead bed bugs in the bed. The staff refused to issue a refund. They said it is corporate policy to have Terminix come inspect and if they found bed bugs, they would issue a refund. This is unimaginable. I called Guest Relations who said only the manager on site could issue an immediate refund. I called the hotel back and they said that corporate was wrong, only corporate can issue an immediate refund. This hotel should be shut down. The reviews state people find dirty needles in their rooms, besides bed bugs.

On June 8, 2018 I booked a room at the Enterprise, Alabama location, around 11am there came a knock on the door, at which time the door was open to find the local sheriff's department along with the city police department with AR15 automatic weapons ordering myself and 2 other friends on the floor, informing us that the owner/manager reported that someone had a gun to someones head, and That a stolen car that was supposively driven by us were humiliated by being handcuffed, and degraded by being talked to by law enforcement. After a brief investigation we're released from the hospital and apologize to by one officer! We were already due to the hotel being ROACH INFESTED ROOM, an Attorney has been contacted to began civil action against your cooperation etc, Al!

It was horrible! When I got there, a pipe had burst so the water was off for a couple of hours. Someone knocked at my door at 1:37am in the am looking for someone. I did not sleep at all because I was itching all night. I had bites on my neck, my arms, my shoulders and my legs. What I went into the bathroom but I saw a little flies in the shower. Asked for another room and I was given another room about 45 minutes later. This room was allegedly cleaned. When I went in, there was a nasty bug that was killed and left on the wall. I lifted it up the sheet and the sheet underneath had not been changed. I took pictures of everything and went back to the front office. They didn't have anything available and I had somewhere to be so I left. That was around 3pm. Came back, around 10pm and the same lady told me that there was not another room but the manager made a note to give me clean sheets. She gave me the sheets so I could change them myself. I am back home and my neck is still itching.

My mom dad brother and sister in law rented 2 rooms for one night at the Denver Colorado Airport Motel 6 the staff was rude at front desk there was a heroin filled needle in my brothers room under the mattress when my brother asked if there was air in his room he was told rudely I don't know if the air works or not no ice in the ice machine they were told that there was a fridge and microwave in their rooms there were not they had to buy ice at the gas station there was people doing drugs in the parking lot and they were charged 84.00 a night a piece and my dad and brother are both disabled and my mom had driven them on a vacation from Indiana to Denver Colorado and they had driven 600 miles today to get there and this is what they are dealing with I feel they should be refunded their money and this motel 6 be shut down I have filed complaints on Yelp and with the BBB as well if not resolved quickly I will be contacting other authorities including the news channels as well to inform the public of this horrid experience and God awful place something needs to be done with this place asap

Hello I was at a motel 6 in murfreesboro, tn I left and cane back to get a room after I spend 3 days worth at this place I got room 202 so after 10 they call me n ask me did I smoke in 218 my previous room I told them no I didn't n the owner wife even said I kno u didn't but the owner/husband want u out come get your refund you can go? So after I pack my bags up chill a little in infront the place I come back complain about the tv y'all put me in another room then after I unpack my bags this happen is motel 6 racist? I'm feeling like they were after that

On 06/06/2018, I checked in to room 312 around 11:40pm after our drive. We relaxed for an hour and then I went to use the bathroom and shower. The toilet seat had a missing bolt and it slid sideways when I sat on it. I then noted black hair on the tub and floor. When I left the shower, my wife showed be a bug that she squashed in a napkin that was on the bed. I could not tell what kind of bug, but it had a lot of blood on the napkin. I decided to check the bed sheets in both beds and I was astonished to find that they were not changed. There was a lot of black hairs, dirt and debris on the sheets. I also noted the blood dots all over the sheets. The blankets had several cigarette burn holes in them. We did not see anymore bugs, but that was enough for my wife. She wanted another room. I was unwilling to change rooms at 1 AM with our luggage unpacked, so we slept on top of the beds using our jackets as blankets. My wife woke up with bags under her eyes, not sleeping at all. The next morning we politely spoke to the two women at the front desk who had nothing but excuses. We left with a smile politely. I said to my wife that I do not write reviews or complaints, because it wastes my time, but this one had to be done. I do not hold this against Motel 6 as I have always had good experiences all over the country for years. I have always said that Motel 6 is clean and economically fair. However, I will never use the Danvers location again. From this point on, I will inspect the bed sheets at every hotel I use before unpacking. Good lesson!

I paid for my laundry amd someone pulled out my cloth i went to front desk to tell them what happened so they could give me my money back they said they cant because i have to sit in there while my laundry is in progress.
