the room was totally filthy!!!
On June 30, 2018 I checked into Motel 6. My worst stay EVER! The room was filthy and disgusting. The linen was not clean! The microwave was nasty ! The was plumbing issues with the sink, the water sat in the sink for hours before it went down. Roaches were crawling everywhere... when I got up to use the rest room in the middle of the night, one was even in my daughter bed! Pet hair everywhere! This hotel should be condemned! How do you charge $100 a night in conditions such as these!
It really should be against the law to allow reservations to be made at rooms in conditions such as these. As Corporate Managers and Owners of Motel 6 their should be certain standards and morals that you own up to. I'm certain no one on the management team would want to sleep over night in the conditions as filthy as the rooms are.

Checked in okay went to room and right away was greeted with a dark room with no lights on and I thought that was part of your deal will always leave a light on for you fumbled in the dark to find a switch for a light to find a nasty room stuff in the floor stains on the walls mold in the bathroom above the light stains Down the Walls and the list goes on and they have no do not disturb signs in the rooms and when I told him I did not want housekeeping they came in anyway and moved our stuff around for no reason at all they offered coffee in the lobby for the morning but no cups or sugar creamer Etc this is the reason why I stopped coming to Motel 6 to begin with but I figured I would give you guys another try boy was I wrong my 2-day vacation to Rehoboth Beach to see the the fireworks is a real let-down for the wife and kid to have to come back to this nasty place

We have stayed in a lot of Motel 6's through the years and in a lot of states. Last night on our way home to St. Louis area from the North Shore in Minnesota, my significant other and I stopped at a Motel 6 in Rochester, Minnesota. The room was deplorable. I don't expect the Ritz Carlton but I do expect clean. The room was filthy. There was mold throughout the bathroom. The top bed clothes were dirty. The room was so dirty that we slept in our street cloths using the fitted sheet only and neither one of us would walk across the floor bare footed. The air conditioner didn't work very well either. I understand sometimes things don't work correctly and people have to take that into consideration but filth is another story. Like I said in the beginning we have stayed in a lot of Motel 6's around the country, in fact we stayed in one on Wednesday evening in Duluth. It seemed to have some issues with condition but and it was fine as far as being clean. I will tell you this, if the one in Rochester would have been my first Motel 6, I guarantee it would have been my last! I am so disappointed that I am not sure I will continue to use your services. I hope you do something with it soon.

I was a guest at the Motel 6 in Richfield Minnesota. On June 13th I was admitted to the emergency room. When I had the opportunity I called the front desk to ask the staff to charge my room for that evening. I was told that my room had been cleaned. I had my two cats with me. I asked them about my cats (my only concern) and was told they had called animal control. I was horrified and terrified for my two babies. I don't understand why they hadn't called my friend I listed in case of emergency. When I was released from the hospital I rushed to the Bloomington Animal shelter only to find one of my cats. The staff person at Motel 6 had told me they took both my cats? I was also missing my two cell phones, clothes, my storage information and key to the lock and jewelry from a trip I had taken to Brazil with my late husband. I want to see the security video so I know who took my baby boy Dewey.
Yep. How many times does this happen before they take responsibility? My dog died because of their recklessness. Others have died and gone missing.

reserved for 4 nights at the motel 6 under the name of Dawn Alston on 6/30/2018. 797 J Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News VA 23601 only to be woken up by an aggressive cleaning lady called kirti to check out after 3hrs after checking in. I explained to her that my military spouse reserved the room for 4 days and rather than investigate I was insulted and embarrassed which cause guests to see what The commotion was about. She did not apologize but was rather extremely rude, used profanity and was very dismissive after the error was found. Manager on duty is Mr. Nimesh who tried to lie to me about the cooperate contact info. Something must be done before legal action is taken. I will never use motel 6 or any of its affiliations and I will be sure to make a formal report to my higher ups in the military and a lawsuit will ensure if no visible solution is reached for such an unpleasant and uncalled for experience. filthy nasty shower
I walked in the hotel after being on the road all day and just wanted a shower. I walked in and there was a stained towel and bar of soap sitting on a shower floor that was yellow and covered in dirt. So, I washed up in the sink. I know it's not a 5 star hotel but seriously? And when I complained all I got was "I'm sorry to hear that." No trying to fix the problem at all. Horrible business operations and probably won't be staying at a motel 6 again and will be advising friends and family to do the same.

At 2 am my son and I were awoken by the lowest sound like the fire alarm when we later realized that the sound was coming from one floor above which those "guests" we already very noisy. I had telephoned the manager on duty to talk with the folks above us. My son and I had returned from a memorial service and needed our rest. The refrigerator was not working properly with what sounded like a short in the wiring, a hazard we didn't need so we unplugged it. Then to make the night with one final issue we noticed some type of bugs crawling out of the mattress onto the sheets. When discussing with the front desk lady the following morning and little sleep, I asked to whom we can make a complaint. I booked through Expedia (my first - and last - time) with my American Ex card and she informed me that I had to take it up with Expedia. After 15 minutes on hold I spoke to someone at Expedia then asked to speak with a supervisor. Instead my call was disconnected. I also spoke with Amer Ex Delta Airline to which I received the runaround and instructed the only person to offer any refund was YOU. I have tried two times to contact the general manager, Mike Patel, and have not received a return call. Hotel conf # 456M36558. One night stay (June 23). I am asking for a 75% discount off my bill, which I paid $116.94 with tax so my refund to my credit card should be at least $87.70.

It seems that Mr. Mohammed (the general manager of Motel 6 on Dyer Road in Santa Ana, CA) is still sleeping on the property, using the manager's suite that is above the front desk as a mansion. He's been doing so for a while (May and June 2018). I complained about this before. When will this be investigated? I'd say the easiest way to find out whether or not my complaint is valid is to pay him a surprise visit after midnight (is he sleeping there or not?).

On Sunday night I Keshawn Lewis and my sister Jean Jones was just getting to hotel about 1245am when walking to front door the officer on duty was standing out front of course we spoke walking pass .So he stopped my sister telling her how beautiful she was and was I her man she responded with no this is my brother then he was like your very sexy so she said thanks your black is beautiful and as I open the door to go into hotel he asked for her phone number she kept walking and went to our room 324 .we went inside and went to continue our night . about 2ish my sister went out to get some ice and the officer was walking the floors.
She asked him where could she get some ice he told her 4th floor so she went once she got back to 3rd floor she saw the same officer standing at our door room 324 once he saw her he continued walking to the end of the floor .so my sister came inside room.then we heard a knock on the door so she answered it was the officer asking were we smoking she responded No that's when he began to argue with her so I got up and went to door and explained everything to him and I wasn't rude nor disrespectful at all he didn't want to hear nothing I had to say he was like go down and pay 150.00 fine for smoking I told him sir no one is smoking on here then he responded well get out, so that's what we did packed our belongings and begin to leave he stopped us and was like check your receipt it says it on there ..first of all we didn't receive a receipt nor was we smoking this was because he was upset that my sister wouldn't give him her phone number and the fact that I Keshawn Lewis the one the room was under me and my husband were a gay couple and that was an issue as well we were completely disrespected, discriminated against and the officer made sure he let us know just that as we walked out the room to leave hotel as was told. I Keshawn Lewis honesty believe this all happened do to my sister turned the officer down and wouldn't give phone number to him and from just how we were treated he wasn't to find of of gay people I was completely devastated we didn't do absolutely nothing wrong to be put out of room with no where to go ..on top of me Keshawn Lewis fighting for my life with a serious medical condition that has almost taking my life and being treated as we were by officer being put out of our room that time of the early morning with no where to go .I'm extremely heart behind this treatment and being discriminated against for no reason on our part, we have stayed at motel 6 a few times and never had any problems at all and this time we have stayed 4 nights and had no problems up until this took place. Do to how we were treated and discriminated against due to our sexual orientation and due to the fact my sister wouldn't give him her phone number nor talk to him after that . On june 22 I rented a room from your company due to a flood in my home. As we were eating dinner in the room I had my two-year-old on the floor playing with his trucks. To my surprise my two-year-old walks over to me with a bloody tampon and applicator. (my child was holding blood in his hand!) as we begin to look around we also found pieces of marijuana in ziploc bag under the bed mattress. I then went downstairs to complained to a gentleman at the desk, asked him to come view the room, he said no. I asked for a manager but he would not be into the next day. He then gave us a second room. We walked in and the room was filthy dirty. Particles of food on the table, floors were not washed and in the bathroom there was blood on the floor and walls I was disgusted! I went and complained once again. Now we are in the 3rd room I go pulled down the blankets and sheets and I saw black things all over then the bed although they were not bugs but it was something. I was appalled and wanted leave at this point. As it was almost 10 pm I was not going to drag my baby out motel hunting. So instead we bit the bullet and layed on top of the blanket to sleep but due to the sounds of a dripping toilet noise I had none!. I have had it! By morning I had asked the lady at the desk for refund she claims she couldnt do that. She then told me the manger had the day off and to call the next day. She handed me a card with your manager chet frankel name on it. I did call the next day for an arrogant man to call me a liar as he swore at me, told me i'm not getting nothing and then hung up on me. All I am asking for is my one night stay refunded. I have pictures of all my complaints in every room I was giving. No one should be treated this way after a night from hell!

I have contacted the ACLU and just giving you a heads up that a 100% Service Related Disabled Viet Nam Veteran was put on the no rent list because I use cannabis as part of my therapy in excellent discreet manner. This substance healed my liver when the VA wanted me to go into the hospital. I also have severe PTSD and am doing my best living in Motel 6 six months a year. This is going to end except for Denver or any other recreational state because you do not care for the plight of the Veterans in your motels.
Motel 6 is fine for an overnight stay but not for an extended stay. There where no drawers to put clothes in and in the bathroom there was no place to put toiletries. It was very basic. When I am going to stay for an extended stay I expect to have places to put things. As it was my husband and I lived out of suitcases. There was no iron to press the clothes we were wearing. What was provided was very basic. Thank goodness I brought my own hairdryer and toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pro to this stay was the cleanliness. Will I stay again in a Motel 6 - no because when we travel it usually is more than one day. Cheryl

I booked two rooms for my Family to stay for 3 well as we do in the Summer every year. This year our normal hotel was sold out on most of our dates, I went to Motel 6 as it was close by and thought it would be just as good. Wrong! Rude staff they don't service rooms daily when you stay what they to be to long and treat you like a squatter, Manager was rude this explaining why the staff is allowed to be rude. Beds contained hair upon check in, when noted it was shrugged off by them. Been here 8 days and have seen a housekeeper 1 time. The worst $3, 000.00 dollars I e ever spent and the most unprofessional people I've ever come across. And if you're on business/Vacation as we were, don't pay the $5.00 a day for their garbage internet that DOESNT work by any means, just another rip off from the "Corproate" office.

The room I rented stunk like urine, the bed clothing was dirty, and horrible bed bugs. I couldn't sleep, this was the worse motel 6 I ever stayed in. I will never stay at motel again. I will tell everyone I know about this. 80.00 for a night of stink, and scratching. I bought frebreeze, and that couldn't even get rid of the smell, I also think it angered the bed bugs...

I rented a room at the Huntsville, Texas motel 6 and could only lay down in the bed for a couple of hours due to something infesting the bed. I woke up scratching so much that I had blisters all on my back end. I left and went somewhere else to sleep.
When I called and complained, I was told that nothing was wrong with the bed. They later called back and told me I would get a discount if I stayed there again.
I have stayed there quite a few times, and that's what I get told. $50 to get eaten for 2 hours, what a deal.

My husband's job brought us to Port Allen Texas. We have been staying at the Port Allen property since late April. From the day we moved in we have been seeing roaches. I have reported seeing them several times. I was told they had someone come out and spray, but I am not positive my room was sprayed. I have spent my own money attempting to fight off roaches. They are in our beds here. I have spoke to other wives that are staying here and they also have roaches in their rooms. When you complain their solution is to move you into another roach infested room. I was in the office when a man was telling them a roach was in his bed. My son Andre Johnson came to stay here for work as well mid May and his room (253) was also full of roaches. He left.
A few weeks ago my minor daughter came from California to visit us. I decided to move to another property while she was here because I didn't want her living with roaches. It's gross and unhealthy. When I left I left my fan. I was told they would hold it in the lost and found. I came back to get it and the laundry door was locked and the front desk person couldn't get in. My daughter went back to California so I moved back to the property last Thursday and I asked about my fan. I was told by your GM that is was in the laundry room. I walked over to get it and they can't find it.
I have stayed in Motel 6's all over the US and I have never seen anything like this. I stay up all night paranoid roaches are going to crawl on us. I have spent hours researching ways to get rid of them. Read the reviews and you will see this place is shady and is infested with roaches. The front desk ladies should be commended for logging complaints all day and yet they stay very nice and professional. Front desk clerk Anthony is amazing! I appreciate his patience and understanding.
I will attach pictures of roaches and my failed efforts of keeping them out.

Rented the room with expectations the air condition would work(96deg out). Got in the room and realize that barely any cold air comes out no matter what we did with the thermostat. Their was a thermostat in each room with three big air conditioning units on the roof. occasionally there would be no air-conditioning whatsoever.. also turned on the TV and tried every input could not get one channel to come in so I went to the front desk to let them know. The man told me that he would come check my room shortly I waited an hour and a half and nobody came. Then I went back to follow up and he apologized said he was busy painting the steps of this hotel. So I waited another hour still nothing then I could not find anyone at the front desk I rang the bell I did everything I even called them and no answer so now three hours has passed and we are sweating bullets.. we called corporate and made a complaint they informed me that it was a privately owned motel6 and it's up to their discretion if they want to reimburse us the money. They did end up reimbursing the money but they never came to the room and checked on anything they even told me they were going to go get us a fan and they never did. They lied from the beginning and acted like they didn't know about the AC but I talk to a lot of people that were there for several months and they said it's been that way the whole time you're not going to get your money back.. stay clear of the Motel 6 on Miller Lane in Dayton!

On 6-4-18 I booked a room in Hollywood, Ca (near Universal Studio) for my sister and 12-year-old daughter. My sister was taking my daughter for a surprise trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios.
On 6-19-18 at 11:20pm, my sister called me and informed me she was at the Motel 6 in Hollywood, which was in a bad neighborhood. If I knew the neighborhood I would not have booked here. She walked into the lobby to check herself and my daughter in and the front desk attendant told her she owed $230, $197.48 for the room and $30 for parking. She went outside to call me and was told she had to pay for parking if she wanted to call from where she was parked so she had to drive to the street to call me. We were under the impression the room was paid for. After a quick check of my account, I was not.
I called the 1800-899-9841 phone number to figure out what we could do. I do not remember the woman's name, but she said she could authorize a third-party payment, so they could stay at the room. She came back on the line to say she could not book us into this Motel 6 but could book us into one in VanNeys. I asked why she couldn't book us into this location and she said because she would have to cancel the reservation. I asked her if the reservation is there, then the room is still available. She just kept repeating no, can't do that. I told her I felt she was being somewhat rude and I wished to speak to a manager. She hung up on me.
I called a second time. I spoke to another woman who said the reservation had been cancelled and then transferred me to a second-tier support person. This person said the reservation was not cancelled and they could authorize the payment. It was now 12:30 am. My sister ran back inside the Motel 6 to see if the second-tier person got everything settled. She was told that there was no reservation now and there was no parking. She would have to park down the street for $40 a day and walk. The second-tier person came back on the line to say that the reservation was canceled and that he could only book me into VanNeys. When I asked for a location that might be closer to Disneyland instead of Universal, he said he would look but he hung up on me. I tried calling back, only to get a pre-recorded message saying customer service was closed.
I had to scramble to find another Hotel at 1am. Motel 6 was unhelpful in EVERY possible way and I will NEVER stay in a Motel 6 again.
my horrible stay
My family and I visited Alabama on the 15th - 17th we stayed at the Motel 6 1051 Eastern Blvd Montgomery, Al. [protected].
I requested to be placed on the ground floor and had to wait 1 1/2 hours and upon check in the A/C wasn't working and I called and reported this to the front office and the maintenance guy came to check it out he worked on it and said to wait and let it cool down that never happened so my daughter went to the office and informed them that it still wasn't working and the attendant said that we would have to go up stairs my daughter explained to her that I wasn't able to climb stairs due to my health. the lady told her that they only had the more expensive rooms left on the ground floor. so I went to the office to speak with her and she stated to me that for a few more dollars she could give us the more expensive rooms I asked her why do I have to pay more for a room when it wasn't my fault that the A/C didn't work she stated well I can't give you those rooms without more money my daughter said that she was going to call corporate my daughter called corporate and the attendant came down and and said that she called her boss and he said to give us one of the more expensive rooms when we moved to that room it was equally hot and the shower door wouldn't close we reported that to the office and no one came down to check it out also to hot and cold water knobs were switched and I was burned by the water in the shower we had to run out to buy towels because we couldn't get any from the front office. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel I have lupus and we were so tired from the drive and to have to go through this I would like my money back but more so I truly want for this not to happen to anyone else I have always had a great experience at motel 6 until this time I would have written sooner but I had a bad flare up with my lupus the attendees that live on premises were having a get together of some sort my daughter said she could feel A/C when she walked by; i'm really upset by this stay, I heard other customers say well its cheap so I don't mind cheap or not I expect my stay to be comfortable; the bed spreads had burn holes in them the pillow cases had what looked like black spots all over them had to go buy pillows and cases to sleep on the bathroom was nasty my daughter went to Wal-Mart to purchase cleaning supplies just so we could use the toilet and shower very sad that you have to go to office to borrow a broom to sweep the floors and sleep fully dressed on top of bed this was very uncomfortable big cockroaches some dead and some alive I would have taken pictures but the outlets didn't work so we couldn't charge our phones they were dead no one should have to endure this on a 2 night/3 day stay.

Worst experience in a hotel I have EVER had. First night my mother in law and her family stayed, they rented a room for TWO NIGHTS. They next morning the people that live on sight came banging on the door and kicking them out. They tried to explain that they paid for 2 nights and he just kept cussing at my mother in law. They made them get EVERYTHING out of the room and when they went to the lobby she said it was just a misunderstanding and sent them right back. The next day we all rented 3 different rooms. Our aunt and her daughter got out of the pool and went to their room and she forgot something in the car, so she walked out to get it and forgot the key. She locked her key and daughter in the room. So we had someone climbing the deck to get to the room because of a baby being in there by herself! They came out of their room and started screaming and cussing at us and we were nice regardless of how they treated us the day before. We explained to him that there was a baby in there by herself and he proceeded to tell us that he didn't care that there was a baby in there. The housekeepers were right there in that room too. All they had to do was get out their keys and unlock the door, but instead they made us risk that babies life and go all the way to the lobby and have them make us another key. The couple are military and they didn't even care about that either. They wouldn't give us a refund and let us go somewhere else. They didn't care at all. Then when we left Sunday (it wasn't even 11) they were banging on doors and being rude. He rudely kept repeating "are you done?!" This was The most terrible motel I've been to in my life. Hope nobody Loses their child from these people endangering children like that being so careless. Don't waste your money on a terrible motel like this!

The condition of the room was deplorable, I am including photos, the front desk person didn't offer to move us to a different room, a voucher for another night at a future date or even a discount. There was NO hot water so I asked if the tank could be turned up, the reply I received was to check if the hot water was on the cold side of the nob an no it was not there was NO further assistance. This exprience has turned me against ever staying at a Motel 6 again. The rudness of the woman manning the front desk was absolutely uncalled for.
