Misrepresented moving labor services
I called Moving Staffers (MS) to supply labor as part of my ABF/U-Pack move. MS is the "partner" staffing service of U-Pack. The MS agent that booked my move assured me that 1) the quoted labor was sufficient for my move and, 2) that the movers were experienced, professional, and background checked.
On the day of the move I met the team lead for the moving staff. This young man let me know that he and his brother had just started the business and were still in the process of learning. I verbally told him at multiple points during the move that all large items (furniture, fitness equipment, etc.) would need to be loaded first and he agreed. I checked on his progress throughout the move and reiterated that large items needed to be loaded. He repeatedly assured me that they would get loaded, and that the move would be completed, which kept me from raising concerns with MS at the time.
At the quoted time there were still many large items remaining in the house. The staff admitted they had loaded wrong, and that they were not professional movers but friends that were asked to help on this job - *not background checked professionals* They stayed for an extra hour (which we were billed for) to try to get as much on the trailer as possible, but were unable to do so because of the way they had loaded it.
The staff had also damaged an expensive piece of fitness equipment and damaged multiple walls and doors in the home which now need to be repaired.
Because of their inexperience and inability to follow directions I will now spend considerable additional time and money to complete this move so I can complete the sale of my home. MS has declined to offer relief commensurate with the problem they created.
This is a brief summary of the situation - it would double the words to express my complete frustration with Moving Staffers. I will be filing a complaint via every resource available.

Desired outcome: Full refund for services to compensate for additional time and expense to complete the work they were hired to do.
Damage due to negligence in packing our goods
We had Moving Staffers pack and unpack our home through U-Pack and ABF freight. They poorly packed the house goods and as a result we suffered over $2000 in damage to our dining room set - broken mirror in the china cabinet, broken and damaged chairs, and damaged bookcase. We provided more than enough blankets, shrink wrap and straps (as they were not all used and in fact we returned the unused things to the store). Our claim was "denied" allegedly because of the type of truck used in the transfer (ABF truck who was the company actually used through U-Pack along with Moving Staffers). Then we were told that even though they were "denying" the claim, they offered us a "settlement" for $75 (for the weight of the damaged items) - then after I complained they raised it to $150 for the "settlement". The Moving Staffer employees who unpacked the truck said that it was the worst packing job they had very seen. The ABF driver was forced to redo the bulkhead when he inspected the load before delivering git to our new home. This was a clear case of negligence on not a result of simple damage to the items. The company refuses to compensate us for their clear negligence in packing our home. The unpackers did do a great job. Photos show unwrapped and exposed furniture - specifically dining room chairs.
Desired outcome: To be properly compensated for the damaged items that again were due to negligence.
Hah! we had a similar occurance.. Many things broken or damaged by the straps. Found un-used moving blankets in the front of the truck or weird occurances like they wrapped a $40 ikea cheap in 2 blankets but then didn't protect our peloton bicycle with anything.
We have broken dressers, scratched and dented surfaces and green wear marks on everything
Unauthorized credit charges, poor service
The loaders provided by moving staffers were not prepared (They did not even bring a dolly, which caused them to go over their 2hr time). Then they improperly loaded everything so that when my items arrived, several pieces of furniture where crushed under the weight of other boxes. Moving staffers said that they would do nothing about that because it was fine when the movers put it in the truck. The representative then hung up on me. Upon unloading of my shattered items, i was charged $250 extra (A full week after the initial charge and receipt) for something that i specifically called and asked them about. (My delivery was delayed and i had asked if my pre-paid funds could be applied to another unloading day.) moving staffers noted that i had called but conveniently said that they had no record of ever telling me that i wouldn't be charged which was my entire reasoning for calling and rescheduling, otherwise i would have just cancelled and done it myself. They are very helpful when taking your money, but rude, misleading, and terrible people when dealing with any issue.

If still find it necessary to hire Moving Staffers not sign any forms until your possessions are safe and sound at your destination. Moving Staffers pass off completion forms as ‘time sheets’ for the kids they send out thus committing you to the full payment.

Do Not Use Moving Staffers!!! We got Moving Staffers from U-Pack, but it is the worst decision I listen to U-Pack, they most likely get kick-back from Moving Staffers for any referral!!
