I joined NAFC as a lifetime member in 1998. I received a magazine every month. A few years ago I started receiving a 3 or 4 magazines a year and now I have not received a magazine in about a year. I tried calling the phone number on the life member card and it is no longer in service. My log in info no longer works. Does anyone know if the Club has shut down. If it has, I think everyone should go together and file a lawsuit against the owners.

i started as regular member back in 2002. I became a Life member them a Trophy member. I used to receive my magazine every month but then about 3 years ago only received it about 3-4 times a year and at that time it started to also have more about Hunting that fishing. I have not hunted ion over 25 years. If i wanted to have a hunting membership i would have joined a hunting club. Needless to say I have not received a Magazine in over a
Year and a half. i liked this club when i first joined but i do not know about that anymore. if they were going to no longer have a club teh members should have been notified. this will make me Leary of joining any clubs in the future.

I joined this club many years ago, lifetime member, but my wife became extremely ill and I wasn't concerned about fishing or much of anything else. After she passed and I began to get my head straight, I too noticed that there were no more magazines. Funny how you pay for a lifetime membership, but then there's no more contact form those who took the money for this so called lifetime membership. If anyone has any idea of how to get in touch with these folks, please let me know. If there's no information on how to go about contacting them, I say everyone who paid for a lifetime membership and was suddenly abandoned by this club should absolutely go after them for reimbursement and interest along with punitive damages to punish bad behavior. If anyone decides to go after them, you can reach me at rsanj13@yahoo.com. God bless.

It's a tangled mess and a sad one. Here is what happened. Scout Media, formerly The North American Outdoor Group and the North American Membership Group (NAMG), was an American media company, specializing in membership clubs and related magazines. Since 2007 it has been owned by the Pilot Group, a private equity firm run by Robert W. Pittman.[1] In 2013, NAMG acquired Scout.com.[2] NAMG combined with Scout.com to form Scout Media. Pilot Group lost control of Scout Media to a group of Russian investors.[3] Scout Media filed for bankruptcy in 2016; it was acquired by CBS Sports Digital in 2017.

Another life member here since August 1983. I had a car accident 10 year ago and forgot all about the club until I found my life member card. Their Scout site has no record of me hving a membership so I agree about a lawsuit. Anyone out there smart enough to get this going? My contact is duhrinek@yahoo.com.

If anyone with some legal background who is a life time member would want to take the time to file a class action suit against the North American Fishing Club, I would like to add my name to the suit. I paid for a life time membership mainly for the purpose of receiving the magazine at my home. Then without notice, the magazine quit coming. I was able to talk with a representative some months ago and was told that I can view the magazine online. When I am sitting in a cabin in Northern Ontario, there is no online, and that is when I used to read my NAFC magazines. When I explained that I want to hold the magazines I read and that NAFC totally ignored me and many senior citizens, some who don't even have computers. How are the non-technical seniors supposed to see their magazines that they paid their life time membership fees for? I do not understand why there isn't already a class action suit against this fraudulent company. They don't care about there lifetime members. They only took our money and then cut us off! Somebody please go after them. I would definitely add my name to the suit. Jim P., Lifetime Member # [protected]

I also feel ripped-off. Became a life member, received one or two free, flimsy accessories and then nothing. I am not happy with how they treated all of us, and would like to be part of any class action. Jstevens057@hotmail.com

I have been a member of the North American hunting club center it's an hunting club since 1989 and a member of the North American fishing club since 1990.. Both I have lifetime memberships and I do have membership card ship cards still. I used to receive magazines 4 or 5 times a year for both, received knifes, paid for books, videos, cassette tapes and those up and quit coming one day, , I'm assuming the magazines were due to the internet. Then Scout came about, I got all setup in that, and had that for awhile, I admittedly will say I lost touch a decade or some due to various life issues, but recently found that its all but devolved, I like alot of others invested hundreds of dollars, possibly close to $1000 and now don't get a dam thing from either. I am like all others a law suit should be persuade and full reimbursement to all life members that are getting screwed. SIGN ME UP !

I, too had a lifetime membership which I paid cash for and never received a word about what happened to the organization. What transpired has all the earmarks of a deliberate scam. Has any legal action been initiated yet? If not, I will support any efforts to determine why the organization was purchased and passed around to obliterate the true ownership and where all the assets went.

Well, the whole thing is sad and especially sad for those of you who were treated badly. It was a good club, and I was treated well. I got everything I was promised, and I'd be very angry if I hadn't, just like you. So, what happened? Well, here it is. A bunch of investors who knew nothing of fishing, hunting and how to run a club just in it for a buck ruined the whole thing.
