NTTA is absolutely evil.
There are so many things to say about this evil organization but to put it very simply, they will find a way to bill you for vehicles you have not owned in ages. They will frequently stoop to the lowest levels of humanity to get a few dirty bucks from you. They lie, they cheat and they steal. Repeatedly. The customer service is absolutely horrid. They must get these people off the streets of some crap hole town. It just amazing.

Toll fees etc

I'm Loretta Huff, I'm writing you about your fast tag dept whom I feel are mistreating me, last year due to COV 19 they were offering a reduced amount on toll tag, my toll bill was up to 1200 dollars due to Lyft, who told us they would deduct toll fees from our pay and did not, I have been driving in Texas for over 26 years and I never owed a toll bill, once the toll dept offered to reduce my bill due to cov19, I took the offer which I owed them 836 dollar I paid them $172 down and proceeded to pay them $118 monthly and one of the payments was $140, I made the last 2 payments on cash app, I contact cash app and was told because they are not a bank they could not forward a statement on payments made to them, so I called fast tag ntta back and told them they insisted that I never made the payment despite the fact valor their collection vendor at the time only had a total of 2 payment documented when they called them, so now fast tags is trying to force me to pay them $1200 again as though I never paid saying it was a default! Only default I know is on a loan, and if you're going to help people due to cov19 never should a default be in place since you already are struggling, why bother to help, it's like the salvation army asking people to pay back all the help they offered! I was devastated by their rude comments and lack of remorse, and lack of empathy for the fact this whole thing is an oversight on their behalf too
If you're using 3rd party vendors to handle payments I think you ought to be aware that they have their own agenda and way of handling payments, it's not by the book, and I believe they lost a payment, I'm not sure why they would say that, they had 3 payments and then ntta collection claim they had 3 of them which would explain that there is a missing payment, I feel that their clerks are incompetent and displaced, they do not know how to investigate properly based on the clients suspicions and concerns, someone at valor told me there were 3 payments made on this account,
When I called their complaint number, a clerk told me again that they defaulted on my balance and that I needed to set up another payment arrangement to get it resolved, which is unfair to a person who originally was told this method was set up to help people.
Desired outcome: i would like this default removed and my account back in good standing and i pay the 115 dollars they claim is missing

after speaking with someone from your office again, i though was in higher authority, she stated that she saw only two paynent on the entire account which is completely wrong there were 7 payments made not including the down pay of 172 dollars, im perplexed that they are still insenuating that i didnt make that last payment, and reflecting on the fact that ineed to pay them all over on this bill
what they are asking me for is to pay 1200 dollars again by paying $335 down and $118 a month im livid right now at this because they fail to connect the truth, i was even told that i walked into an agency and paid a small payment, which is wrong i walked in tho the main office off the toll road and paied 172 dollars to lift the band restraint on the account, that was part of the 863 which left a balance of leaving 690 dollars to pay them again they took a few of the payments and hired a vendor to take the payments resulting in a payment lost, i should not have to be penalized for a possible mistake or mishandling of the account by t he vendor, whom could be anyone doing anything with payments, i feel the burden of proof is on the vendor whom seemingly is not equip to handle paynents in a crisis if they are now lacking knowledge of payments thank you loretta huff
Charge on vehicle which is not mine
I received 1st notice about 2 months ago. I called their customer service and was told that they will work on this issue. when I asked for the confirmation email, they said there is no confirmation number regarding this call.
Today, Oct 10, 2021, I receive a 2nd notice. the total penalty fee is 35$ while the original amount was only 3.52$.

Billing and customer service
I have been received bills over 6 months old or not at all and then gotten second notices on them one even from 2019 and I had even paid other bills on that vehicle for god sake, when I try to to discuss or explain this with customer service they talk over me or are dismissive, I just want to pay my bill and have a record of doing so, if I am late I will pay the fees but your "customer service " people don't help and then get mad when try to answer then.

Dear NTTA,
On 8/5, I called Customer Service because I was not able to add my Jeep Wrangler to my existing account as a zipcash account was in play. The representative assisted me with rectifying this. Unfortunately, the license plate number was mistyped and I have been billed $240+ in tolls for a vehicle that is not mine. The license plate I have been charged for is PFP 4972 (not sure of any other details as I do not own or have any knowledge of this vehicle.
I've included a copy of the charges export from the NTTA.org website. I attempted to dispute the charges on the website however the website is not returning an error or validation that the submission was successful. I alerted Customer Service and was met with minimal assistance or guidance despite me repeating that I am trying to follow the process but not finding success on the website. I called Customer Service today, 9/29, the staff were not able to provide an alternative to submit a dispute for charges.
Will you please validate the ownership of PFP 4972 and bill the correct owner for these charges? I live in Dripping Springs, Texas and very rarely in the DFW area, which you can see by the charges incurred on MY vehicle.

Late Fees Assessed But Paid On-Time
I received a bill for $9.12, due on 18 August 2021. I mailed payment on 12 August 2021. It cleared my bank on 18 August 2021.
A week later I got a past-due notice and late fee assessment, claiming either non-payment or pmt after due date. I contacted NTTA by email (Always by mail/email so there's a record). They wanted a cancelled check. Since I paid with an electronic check I asked if my statement would do. They told me to send what I had. I downloaded a pdf of my bank statement with the date the check cleared, AND front and back of the digital check. I even wrote the bank asking them to confirm the date my payment was considered "cleared" and they confirmed that it was PAID ON TIME.
Today I got another bill for the same $9.12 with a SECOND late fee. What do you do when a company won't accept proof of payment made on time and in their bank on or before the due date? This is a common practice with them and I rarely drive the tollways for this very reason. The last time it happened I fought with them for over 2 yrs! I think they do it on purpose, hoping you'll give up and pay it rather than risk collections actions!
Desired outcome: Reverse late fees. Confirm ZERO balance in good standing. NO report to credit bureau-filing abt a contested bill is illegal. If they filed a report, remove it immediately or face further legal action. Confirm this was their error.
Customer Service with Account
Started in May 2021, Long story short, two accounts that I set up with them 5 years ago, one for me and one for my uncle. Sept 3rd - Tried to close uncle's account (Robert Morris since he is in nursing home, told me to send a POA, I didn't have his account number since it was all done via the phone and so I set up account on-line for me(Tina Whitehead) and sent the POA there while I was on the phone with NTTA, she received and said it had to be authorized first and to give them a couple of days. 9/17 Called today and they have now changed my account to my uncle's name and said I had to submit a name change on account and they still cannot talk to me regarding my uncle's account. It is just getting worse and I am getting no where with anyone you are welcome to call me [protected]

Double Billing and General Incompetence
Had windshield replaced on vehicle in February 2021, original NTTA sticker was damaged, called to request new one. Never received sticker, went to NTTA center found they cancelled the original tag and marked account as inactive. Paid the tolls and received new tag and installed, 3 months later received bill in the mail for tolls, called customer service and spent an hour on the phone telling them they were double billing me, once on the Toll Tag account and they created a separate Zip CASH account and are billing me on that as well.

multiple attempts to bill me for a charge I do not owe
The North Texas Tollway Authority and their collection agency have contacted me a total of 5 times this year (5/31, 6/23, 7/30, 8/23, 8/30 with notices about a toll incurred on a car after I sold it in April 2020.
I responded multiple times with the details, and eventually the proof from the TX DMV, that I sold the car and filed the Texas Vehicle Transfer Notification timely on 4/2/20 (the same day I sold the car).
I have spent literally hours on the phone either waiting or talking to NTTA agents Veronica (March 2020), LaToyia (Aug 2020), Tamisha (7/1/21), and a second Tamisha (7/30/21) regarding the destruction of my original toll tag after I sold the car, and regarding the bills for a toll incurred after I sold the car. None of them would transfer me to a supervisor when I requested that.
Today I received another bill from NTTA threatening fees, bans, blocks, and multiple misdemeanor citations, and also a collection notice from Valor Intelligent Processing.

Desired outcome: (1) Quit billing me for what I do not owe, and (2) notify your collection agency to remove me. At this point an apology would be reasonable, but I won't expect that.
Zipcash & NTTA & Texpress
I would like to first say thank you for taking this complaint in! It's been so Frustrating when I think that I've completed all my bills with the toll tag and then something new comes into the mail saying that it is either my first notice of non-payment or my third notice as non-payment. I don't ever get a notice of PAYMENT ever. I received a first notice of non-payment of $83 from a charge from February 2021 I just made a payment in July 2021 of the same amount when I spoke to the person on the phone about my bill she noticed that I was up-to-date and I paid all my tolls. I finally go through the toll sometime this month in August and I just got a first notice of non-payment from zipcash that TEXpress is charging me from February 2021 to May 2021.
I was told from the person on the phone that at one point and PTA gave us a free ride during the month of February due to them working on a few issues. Now they are charging us for those right that is completely unfair for them to tell us it is going to be free while they work on their issues and then they turn around months later and charges for those rights. It is not free if you're going to charge us later down the line. It is unfair that we have these $10 late fees for each invoice when sometimes we don't even get the NOTICE Of a PAYMENT. Automatic Billing process
I have a ZipCash account and noticed that negative credit entry appeared on my credit report from NTTA. It appears that when my credit reserve was at zero NTTA charged my credit card which was no longer active with the auto bill function to add to the ZipCash reserve funds. Because the credit card was inactive the charge was declined. NTTA then submitted the incident to my credit reporting companies as a negative entry.
Billing Issue
I contacted NTTA customer service on today (8/03) regarding my account balance of $1, 026.05. My zip cash balance is $1121.53. I talked to Charlotte and she could not explain to my how this happened. Charlotte also indicated that my registration will be suspended. She transferred me to escalations and I talked to Evelyn. I received the statements on my account from the website and it does not add up. I contacted Zipcash and they communicated that they have mailed things to England, Arkansas; and Mansfield, TX and I do not live at either one of those places. My issue in 4/2020 was the same thing. They were not sending me invoices or adding information to my NTTA account, I have checked and it showed that I have a negative balance. This needs to be fixed.

Toll Tag customer service
I called NTTA customer service today and a male representative raised his voice with me, being rude for most of our conversation. I asked for clarification several times, not only was the representative not helpful, he provided me with misinformation that was resolved when I hung up and called back to speak with a more professional representative.
Toll fees on vehicle that we no longer own.
They continue to bill me and send me to collections over a car we no longer own. I have repeatedly contacted them about this vehicle. We sold it on November 8, 2020. A notice of transfer was filed with the TxDMV the day it was sold and I have sent them a copy of this verification as well as the bill of sale. I have contacted the TxDMV and they told me to not pay anything because that notice of transfer protects me from any violations or crimes involving this vehicle. How do I get this to stop? If this does not work, my next step I can only think of is to contact an attorney.
Desired outcome: Update records to reflect we no longer own this vehicle and stop billing me for it.
Toll Charges
I constantly get the collections letters for cars that have and have always had Toll Tags however, when I finally decided to call they tell me there is nothing that can be done but to pay the fines. My account has been in good standing and during the times the account went negative due to an expired card it was always paid.
So now I have 15 dollars of tolls costing me hundreds of dollars. Please see attached

Zip Cash bill on a new vehicle
I purchased a new vehicle on 5/21/2021 and the dealer delivered it to me around 5:30 that evening. I added the new vehicle w/temp tag info that same evening but online says eff date is 5/22. I updated my acct with my perm tags as soon as they arrived. I received a bill for tolls on 5/21 @ 5:17 & 5:20 and because I appropriately updated my info in your system it went through as zip cash.
There has to be a better way to match these bills to active accounts and there has to be a grace period for new vehicles. I shouldn't have to call and argue these details nor argue to not pay the non-account price.

Tollway Racing of Cars & Motorcycles - Extreme Noise on Weekends Big Problem
I live in a Dallas High Rise near Northwest Highway and the Tollway, and there is a real problem with noise from cars & motorcycles racing down the tollway on weekends. Many of these vehicles have mufflers that are easily 10x-20x the normal muffler noise level. It rattles the windows and reverberates through my condo well into the morning hours on most weekends.
It wakes my 8 year old daughter and is like living on a racetrack. Since the pandemic, I have never seen any traffic enforcement of any kind, and commonly witness cars & motorcycles going 120-130mph on the tollway.
Aside from a major nuisance to anyone living along the tollway, its just a matter of time until someone is killed.
Desired outcome: Enforce traffic laws to curb racing on the tollway. Noise issues are a major problem, ticket loud extremely loud mufflers. Rumble from a Harley is fine, but the wasp/airhorn mufflers on racing vehicles rattle the windows.
Calling in- supervisors NOT helping or calling back
Lets start with when it first started on June 6th when I logged in and noticed I had a negative balance of 621.xx I was very shocked and I DID NOT receive any kind of notice about said negative balance. I called spoke with a Sup. John who help and got my balance down to 382.xx and said that was taking care of EVERYTHING Zipcash and NTTA negative balance from Nov 2020 to current. He asked if my account reflected the 382.xx that I needed to pay and it did. I paid that amount the very next day. Also that Sup. John said he would keep a look out on my account as I had issues with yall taking too much money out a week for the re-charge. which after all this he has NOT. When I checked in on my account after paying 382.xx there was still a negative balance of 139 which should have NOT been there. I have not spoken to 6 different supervisors who have done nothing but tell me I will get calls back and have gotten NONE. I have had to go out of my way and figure out what is going on with my account.
The reason this is such a big deal is because the second sup. I talked to a Ratisha** after putting me on hold came back and said that the negative 139 would be taken care of and that i do not need to worry about it that it will take up to 72 hours to hit my account. I waited the 72 hours and NOTHING happened. I have since called and re-explained my story to all your other supervisors who by the way DO NOT make notes in the file AT ALL because one of the sups. read the notes that are in my file back to me.
after speaking with 2 more supervisors I spoke with a Sup. Rosina ext# 7181 who said she would call me back after listening to supervisor calls on 6/25 she NEVER Called me and when I called to be transferred to her I was informed there was no one there to pick up the line. Spoke to a sup. today 6/28 who was NOT helpful at all and just told me that he would put me down to have call back within the next two days. I will be waiting for that call but do not expected much of anything happening.
My issues is with the negative 139 I have told every single supervisor I have spoken with I will pay everything after that 139 that needs to be paid but the 139 NEVER should have still been there after my very first call with Sup. John on the 6th.
At this point I am being run in circles and trying to be scammed out of my money. I not longer feel I can ever go in and make payments that will actually and correctly reflect what is due. I had a supervisor think i made the amount that i paid up when I informed her that John made my account reflect that she then said she would be able to help me.
I have given my call back here it is also listed [protected] and my email [protected]@gmail.com maybe after making this complaint someone in your company will actually help in what they said they would do in the first place.
I do have plans to actually go to NTTA this Saturday and get this handled if it is not done so before then. This is beyond frustrating and I have been more than nice in this whole thing.
Desired outcome: I want the 139 taken care of like I was told it would be. Then I will the 36$ difference and then I will pay my zipcash and the re-load of 40
Petty toll charges billed over 1 year after they claim I incurred them
The ntta says I owe them $2.71 for 2 toll charges that they say I made over a year ago and just now i'm getting a bill. Dates on photos uploaded. I had a toll tag and cancelled it because I believe they are a scam & thieves with complicit government power to back them. Now, i'm getting late fee bills from them, adding b.S. Charges to the toll way in excess of the toll charge itself which, in my opinion, should be dismissed due to the petty amount they claim I owe. (see pictures for fee details) I was sent a bill with my license plate on it. Since I had an account in the past, they have all my info. They've provided no other proof that I used their roads. I am vehemently against these highway robbers and for that I make it a point to avoid toll roads. In fact, I have my gps programmed to avoid toll roads at all costs. I'll travel miles out of the way to avoid a toll road. So they sent me a bill with additional fees. Any other company would not have the full might of the law enforcement community behind them to make you pay a bill. For this, I feel as if I am powerless over a tyrannical regime.
Desired outcome: DISMISS ALL of my fees & I'll GLADLY stay off of your '@#*$%+' roads!
