We tried the product with results. The convience was a plus. However, upon returning the unused products we were onlt refund a portion of the original costs of the items. They exchange (Trade) products also. You are expected to pay up front for the products but, we waited for almost 6 weeks for a refund and then was only given a portion of what we had paid. The company charges you a set price for each meal but when you return items they only credit you with the weight of the package and not the items in the package. We should have been refunded approx. 575.00 and only received 175.00. If you can afford that go ahead... Take my advice and if you return items for credits include a few bricks in the box.
Horrible! The food is disgusting. I made the mistake of ordering nutrisystem after seeing one of their commercials. I received the order with substitutes. I tried a few of the meals and not one of them were good.
Nutri System is a rip off, they never have what you order in stock and make there own substitutions. The food is disgusting, my dogs food looks more appetizing then theirs.
I would reccomend Jenny Craig, Smart ones or lean cusine over there food anyday...
Advice to all consumers : PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR PRIOR TO ORDER/USE NUTRISYSTEM.! When I made my firts order I doubled check their website and it says Nutrisystem is AFFILIATED by AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. My blood pressure were so high that my doctor has to put me on blood pressure medication and dieuretic. Been experiencing severe dizzyness that I missed work for 3 days. I was advised by my doctor to stop eating nutrisystem because it is loaded with sodium.
Something should be done to Nutrisystem on the return policy. They state if you are not completely satisfied after one week return it for a FULL REFUND, I only tried it for 5 days and they say I am only getting a partial refund because my package did not weight what it was suppose to. They do not check what you return, they only go by the weight of the box. BUYERS BEWARE...
NUTRISYSTEM What A Nightmare
I am a Canadian - when I placed my 1st order - which was a custom order it came from the US no problem. I received an email order shipped & I had the product in 3 days (I live close to the border in a large city). I was suppose to get 1 week of free food which came a week later -- what was in that box was just revolting - I did not eat a single item. I called & told Nutrisystem that these items were not for me could I exchange - NO- So you see your free week of food is the crap no one else wants either. Then I placed an al la carte order -- I was going on holiday & did not need a full month just a few items - that order was lost. I called nutrisystem and they told me they had no record of the order to place it again. I go on line to place the order & cud not cash out! I called & was told oh you are in Canada you now have to order from the Canadian site! The Canadian site does not have the al la carte option, not only that the menu is terrible - it is half the size of the original site in the US and all the foods that I liked & was ordering - I was told I cannot get in Canada! I called back Nutrisystem & complained & told them this is wrong I have been a customer on the US side, I ordered my Al la carte which you ppl lost before the Can site was active now you tell me oh well. THey decided to may an exception & send me my al la carte food from the US anyway. It took 8 wks yes 8 wks to get to me. I was so mad - I called them back & told them I was to get 30 items I only got 18! So then re shipped my "missing" items (Which by the way I did get Tee hee) I just wanted to give it to them. Now everymonth I get an email - your auto ship order will be shipped in 3 days - I have cancelled this 3 times - 4 if you include my cancellation yesterday. I cancelled the credit card they had on file, I told them if they ship the food - too bad I am not paying and I am not wasting ANYMORE of my time sitting on the phone for an hour waiting to tell yet another person to take me off this auto ship. What is even more annoying - When I placed my 1st order way back on the US side it was Custom - like I would let someone pick my food - RIGHT! The items listed on my so called order to ship is not even the items I ordered. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM NUTRISYSTEM AS POSSIBLE!
I have been using Nutrisystem for a month now and I am so grateful to have found it! No, the food isn't 5 star dining taste, but guess what? Most of those rich meals are full of fat and calories. Nutrisystem does a great job of creating food that is tasty, nutritional AND let's not forget - helps me lose weight! That is what I'm doing the system for - to lose weight.
The staff is incredibly supportive, the ordering process is straight forward and the results are FABULOUS! Plus I can lose weight and eat ice cream sandwiches. How great is that?
i agree with post above mine. maybe nutrisystem was like that years ago but not today. i've been eating the nutrisystem way for two months and i like it. i'm satisfied with the food that has fewer calories, lower sodium and higher fiber. really, anyone looking to get healthy should try out nutrisystem. i've had nothing but good experiences with it for the last two months and the website is a treasure chest of support!
I have been on Nutrisystem since April. Apparently their food has changed or something, because their food is delicious. (I currently get the mix with the frozen entrees.) I have some that are my favorites, to the point where I have to fight the urge to order a month's supply of them. I have NEVER had an issue with anything being out of stock...my orders are always 100% accurate, they arrive in days (at the most)...I've had nothing but a top-notch experience. On top of that, one time there was an issue with some of my ice cream melting because it was delivered on a hot day and I wasn't home. It was packed in dry ice but the ice cream didn't hold up...so I called Nutrisystem and they re-shipped the entire order of frozen food. So, in my opinion, their customer service is impeccable. I love it...and would recommend it to anyone.
Wow! I'm so disappointed to see so many people that have had unpleasant experiences with Nutrisystem.
I wonder if you knew about the amazing resources that are available to you through Nutrisystem? Because everyone has different tastes in food I would suggest reading some of the online blogs about what foods other people like before placing my order.
I lost 50 pounds, lowered my blood pressure, and actually saved money on Nutrisystem and learned that their is more of a science to good eating habits. I was able to call a nutrition counselor whenever I need to, had such a good circle of support from the on-line community.
As far as spending $575...good grief, what did you buy? I can't imagine ever paying that much for a months supply? That's got to be a complete exaggeration.
I don't think that giving the program a single try and less than a month can be a fair assessment of the programs true value.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with NS, they have been amazing. It is too bad this happened to you, they should inventory what is in the box I do agree. It is a good idea to research which foods are the best before ordering. Pretty much everything I have eaten has been really delicious and I love the results I am seeing.
I am going into month 2 on Nutrisystem and I'm loving it. The food is filling and I'm finally losing weight, which hadn't happened with any other programs! The food isn't "the best" I've put in my mouth only because the food I had grown use to was filled with crap that put me in this position in the first place. What people need to realize is that once you're use to eating high calorie, high sugar, high fat foods is that once you go to something healthier there is going to be a big taste difference. But, guess what - as it goes on you rid your body of the old habits and start enjoying the food. You actually taste the food and not the crap in it. As far as service goes I couldn't be happier - my food is here on time, my orders are always right and the customer service is fantastic. I have never been happier with a weight loss program than I am with Nutrisystem.
I've been on the Nutrisystem program for months and find the food to range from acceptable to delicious. Especially the frozen food is excellent. No, I don't care for 100% of the food, but no one will ever like all the food. I agree with the person who commented above, your body and taste buds need to get accustomed to healthier, simpler food. Once I am, I find the rich fried, buttery, sugary foods to be the bad tasting ones that make me feel bloated and sick.
I've tried other weight loss plans and find Nutrisystem to be the best and it's the easiest I've tried. I lost 20 pounds and it's hard to argue with success!
I'm surprised by the complaints and wonder if the whole system has been revamped since then. I've been on Nutrisystem for almost 4 months and haven't had a single problem, nothing wrong or out of stock. I think that when you go from eating (too much) rich, fattening foods to a sensible, lower calorie meal plan, you aren't going to like the diet food as much. I'm on the Vegetarian NS plan and actually like it very much. I have some items that I really like a lot and want to eat almost every day. I would definitely recommend Nutrisystem to people wanting to lose weight.
i lost 26 lbs pretty quickly, and i have not had any problems, either. tho i have had some food i hated, most of it was fine- dude, it's diet food- what did you think, it would all taste like a 4 star restaurant? the food is made to help you LOSE WEIGHT- none of us got where we were or are because we hate food, true? so deal with the repercussions, eat your diet food, lose weight, feel and look better, and then be responsible afterward. as for customer service- i have not had a problem, personally- but maybe you should speak to a supervisor. good luck, my friend.
I have also had positive experiences so far on the almost month I have been on Nutrisytem. The food has been surprisingly tasty. Often food lower in calories and fat use a lot of spices to try and mask the taste. I haven't experienced this with Nutrisystem. There have been a few of their spicier dishes I don't care for, but that is because I'm a spicy wimp.
No matter what product, company, restaurant etc.. you deal with in life there are going to be negative and positive experiences. I would have to say for Nutrisytem to be around so long with few problems on the whole that it shows this company has value.
I am on week 6 of Nutrisystem and I couldn't be happier! The food is actually pretty good in my opinion! I mean, a diet where you get pizza, ice cream and chocolate is OK with me! And really, when you're on a diet the goal is to lose weight and Nutrisystem delivers on that promise! I have tried every diet on the market with very little success and I'm already down 20 pounds in just a little over 5 weeks on Nutrisystem! They are fantastic to work with and really stand behing you and their product to ensure your success! In my opinion, this is the best weight loss system out there! So if you want to lose weight, try Nutrisystem! If you want to keep eating fast foods that your body thinks taste good becuase it is so unhealthy, then don't try Nutrisystem! What it all comes down to is what you want the end result to be. If you want to find a reason not to like any plan, you can! But if you want success, you want Nutrisystem!
I've never had a problem. They staff is supportive, they encourage and provide support, and the food, while not 5-star, is pretty delicious for diet food. They have a good selection, some good, some not great, but I have yet to have an issue with them and have lost almost 13 pounds in a good amount of time. The goal of the program is to help you learn good choices and portion control. It's not a miracle cure, it's not a crash diet and it's not a lifestyle - it's been my gateway to a better lifestyle. Sorry to hear about your experience.
I am on week 4 and I am very happy. Perhaps this is how thing were years ago but not now. I do not have any problems with the food, and I am very happy with the results. I am more happy on this diet, than I have ever been on diets before. I am never hungry, and they are very helpful. If I have any questions they are there for me. I am so sorry that you had these troubles.
I've been on Nutrisystem for several months and am very happy. I can't say enough about the support (via telephone, twitter, facebook and their website). Nutrisystem has the most options for support that I've ever encountered. Period. I don't have an issue with the food at all - Yes, I like some things more then others but there are things I love, too. I don't understand the food complaints - The food is healthy and I'm learning portion sizes which is a major help for me.
With Nutrisystem I'm learning how to eat after I'm done, smaller portions, lots of veggies, planned snacking and because I get my food a month at a time - I'm always ready for the next meal. I love it. and I've lost 20 pounds!
Well, when I called to cancel my auto delivery because I did not like the food, the representative was INITIALLY very nice. Tried to talk me into alternatives (I was already getting the premium package), delayed auto delivery, etc. When I was firm and declined she became curt and very short with me. I had told her there were some frozen entrees I did like, and honestly if that became an option to only order the frozen meals in the future, I would consider that. BUT, because of how rude she became once I made it clear I was cancelling - even with having to pay the 60 some bucks (didn't realize you have to get more than one month on the auto delivery for the deal - I told her I would rather pay that than get charged again and have another whole dining room table filled with food I would never eat) I would NEVER be a return customer to Nutrisystem. Still waiting for the refund on the awful dehydrated food I shipped back in December...
A co-worker was on Nutrisystem and gave me her remaining products. The food was good and in 2 weeks, I could feel a change. So here I am now wanting to order myself. I log onto Nutrisystem website 5 days ago, looked at the three options and decided it was just too expensive for me right now, so I didn't order. I get an email the next day offering me 40% off. Now 5 days ago when I initially visited the site, the prices were as follow: Basic-$229.99, Core-$244.99, Select-$299.99. So I'm excited at the 40% off offer because surely with the discount I can afford it now. I go to the website 5 days later and ALL they did was raised the initial prices and the "discounted" prices are EXACTLY the same as the original prices. Was I suppose to be so stupid that I didn't remember 5 days ago these were the exact prices and that you really didn't give a discount; all you did was raise the initial price and the final discount price was exactly the same as the original prices from 5 days ago? Wow. Just wow!
