Good morning,

I am writing this complaint on behalf of all the residents living in 295 jackson street, that are physically disabled (Like myself) , elderly, pregnant or otherwise unable to get out of their apartments. I am 23 years old, I have brittle disease and my only means of getting around is with the use of my wheelchair. I am at risk of losing my job because the elevator in my building is broken at least 2-3 times a week. I have made numerous calls to the management office, where am continuously insulted by the lack of regard for the situation. As I write this email I have been trapped in my apartment for two days. Luckily, at the moment I am not enrolled in my grad courses as of yet, but if I were I would probably flunk out of school because of this situation.

I am totally frustated and angry that every single tenant in my builiding has to deal with this regularly and nothing is being done about it. It is rumored that a part is missing from the elevator, and will continue to break until that part is replaced. I would think that after the 9 months that I have been living here that the problem would be taken care of. I am livid that I have to put so much energy into being able to live normally. But I will not let this problem go unresolved quietly. I will make as much noise as possible until they realize that this is serious and effecting people's lives.

Thank you all for listening.

You know, I live in Baruch Houses. Not for the elderly, but there are plenty of them. Physically challenged to walk, most use canes, some use wheelchairs, not only but is the elevator broken, but the lights are also broken. The main entrance light has been broken for months, so is the streetlight right outside. So when night time comes, it is literally like walking around in a rural area, in the MIDDLE OF NEW YORK CITY. There are two elevators, I don't understand how both elevators are broken almost every other day. I've complained to the management office a TON of times, to no effect. I need to be directed to the correct people to hold these complaints to.

I live in Rangel Houses and in my building the elvevators are always broken there too. I live on the top floor and I have a small baby who is still in the stroller. This happens mostly at night when i get off work and have my daughter with me. It is ridiculous

To whom it may concern,
I live in Cooper Park Houses. I'm writing to you with concerns of the gunfire that has become explosive here. We are entitled to a safe and secure environment, which is not what we have. The building I live in has no security, front entrance is always open and when it is closed, everyone knows the code to get in. My 5 yr old granddaughter knows the code for goodness sakes. There is a lot of activity going on in the building with no assistance from our management office. People say every building has a drug dealer(s) living in them and the gun fire are between them. Now we have a woman that was glazed in her face, what are the residents to do? Names are given with no results, they break into the wrong peoples houses and that gives the dealers time to lay low. People should understand that they can lose their apartment if they know that drugs and guns are in their homes. Mothers and fathers Know what their children are doing, and appear to have no control over them. All I can say is HELP!
