meal prep/portion and service
I ordered shrimp scampi and questioned the portion size. It did not fill the serving bowl. I have pictures. I asked for the manager, at which time he came and stated that this is the correct portion and it reflects in the price. I told him I wasn't worried about the price, I felt the portion should've filled the bowl. He stated that this is it. He was very rude and then just walked away. Our entire experience there in June 2nd was very unpleasant unlike our previous experiences. Our salad had 2 wedges and dressing This isn't how our salad is supposed to be presented. When I asked about that, our waitress stated that there was a rush in the kitchen and she apologized. Our whole eating experience that night was unpleasant.
take out
I placed a take out order of one large salad on saturday, june 2, 2018 at the pittsburgh mills olive garden. I called ahead and gave my order and what time I wanted to pick it up. When I arrived the girl had already placed most of the order in the bag and told me she had everything in it except the plates and silverware which she then put in. She also put in a small bag with the cheese and mints. When I was removing the items from the bag the girl did not put in the 12 breadsticks which came with the salad. I called and spoke with the manager who asked several questions and proceeded to inform me he would send out a gift card on monday. It is now one week later and I have not received anything. This was my first and will be my last time to do takeout. If you did not plan keeping your word, don't tell the person you are giving them something and dont send it.
service
I arrived for dinner with a friend at 4:09pm. We were greeted by two friendly host and seated immediately at a table per request. After trying to call for a server on the tablet provided at the table. A server came over at 4:20pm said our waiter was coming and he was busy, but he would take our drink order. He brought our drinks and at 4:26pm and then waiter came over and stated he was sorry but this was not his table and no one asked him to wait in us. I immediately apologised for lack of communication at his expense and said its ok we can wait for our waiter. Next the manager comes to see what is the problem. We had no problem. We were seated quietly waiting to be served. I then said it's ok we'll go. I get it sometime when we are serving customers it can get confusing with lack of communication. I just wanted them to understand that we all have to treat customers kindly if you want them to frequent your business. And never make excuses on why something isn't your section when there ate only 2 table with customers in the section. You may miss out on a generous guest.
hostess
Hi I have been in too your store quit a few times and the times I have been in I have dealt with the same hostess girl and she always has an aditude and she's has made so racial slurs toward us and I have filed a complaint multiple times about her I really enjoy coming to your restaurant to eat but I don't wanna come any more since last time I was in their your hostess named betta like a fish was very up tight with us and had an aditude with me and then used a racial slur on my wife that was very uncalled for I even told her that and she said what do you expect from me to be seated right away you n word she said to me then seated a white couple immediately both times I'm sorry but that is very racist to me I will not be returning to your Olive Garden again
Why do people who have the spelling and grammar skills of a nine year old child call grown women girls? Most likely the white couple was there before you and or made a reservation. Something you are forgetting to mention.
ugh worst ever
Has corporate ever made a visit to the Olive Garden in Columbia, MO? We just moved here from Houston where we were regulars at Olive Garden. I was so incredibly disappointed when eating in Columbia. The food was beyond inedible and the store smelled of rotten trash. The chicken gnocchi was gray and looked like dirty dish water. My husband who usually has 2 or 3 bowls couldn't even eat it. Will definitely not be going back which is a shame as it was our go to.
fruit flies in the restaurant store #1327 louisville ky
This is less of a complaint but rather a call to action. Over a month ago, May 1st and 2nd, I ate dinner there two nights in a row. On both nights my dinner was interrupted by the buzzing of fruit flies trying to get in my wine glass. Fast forward to to last night, June 5th, I'm having dinner at the same resturant and the fruit flies are still there. Obviously the local management has not been able to solve this issue. Maybe it's time to get some upper management involved.
food
Last evening (6/5/2018), my husband and I debated whether to go to Red Lobster or the Olive Garden. We chose the Olive Garden, where we hadn't been to for several years. I always loved their salads and that is why we went there. Waitress tends to our table, right off the bat, apologizing that our service would be a little slow as there was training going on in the back. She brings our salad. We dished it out onto our plates. No onions, tons of croutons, the salad dressing was too tart, was more like a grocery store salad dressing, not like we remembered our previous salads at all . We asked the waitress where were the onions. She said they ran out. Well, that's not our problem. She did comment that the kitchen should have sent someone out to get some. So, a salad with no onions, and tart dressing. The start of our meal. Our main course was okay, however I could taste it all night long after I went to bed. Our bill came to $40.83, plus tax & tip. A high price to pay for having a horrible salad. We do not plan on going back. Sorry
my manager
Hello Human Resource,
My name is Lillyana Stovall and I am employed at the Olive Garden Store 6413 at 14231 E. Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX 77044. I have been an employee at this store since it opened in March. Up until this today, I felt very great about my job at Olive Garden. I love what I do and the people I work with. However, today while working my shift I was made to feel embarrassed, singled out, attacked, and endured racists comment from my manager. Last week on Thursday I was told that I needed to make bread by Kim the manager. I went to make the bread even though I was cleaning my station after closing. I followed directions from my Manager, but, when I got to the station someone was already making bread. I went back to inform Kim of this, and she snapped at me saying, "I told you to make it!" I did not want to get in trouble, so I went back and made the bread. Then on Sunday, I was told that I was being written up for not cleaning my station. I was very confused by this because I know I cleaned my station and was checked out by Juan. I never leave my station unclean I even stay late to get it done correctly. I try to always do the best job possible, because, I value my job. I just wanted to move on but today while at work I felt like Kim was acting very inappropriate with me. She asked me to come talk to her. She took me to the dining area and asked me a few questions about how I feel about my job. When I tried to answer the questions, she accused me of having attitude. By this time, I started feeling uncomfortable and maybe even attacked. I especially, felt attacked and embarrassed when she started asking who raised me and how I was raised. I could not understand what this information had to do with my job. Then adding more insults, she stated, "Black people are already looked down upon and I should not give them a reason look down on us more." I felt this was a racist statement and had nothing to do with my job performance. I also, felt very shamed in front of other co-workers she could have taken me into the office to talk to me. I was told that my co-workers could hear her raising her voice at me. I am writing this compliant against Kim because no on should endure what I felt today. I wanted to go in the bathroom and cry. I hope this does not get me retaliated against but feel something should be done. I am writing you because she is my store manager and who else should I tell
Sincerely,
Lillyana Stovall
the service at olive garden on virginia beach blvd. va
Had the 3-to-5 early dinner, you would have thought we wanted a free meal. The waitress was not friendly just, ok what do you want. Long wait for food. Never saw her again . Second waitress was nice & efficent. Third one was ready for us to go . Will not go to Olive Garden again. But will tell all my friends about the experience.. Olive Garden was my favorite restaurant but not now. Our bill was $23.00 that wasn't a drop in the bucket for us.
service
Went to Olive Garden today for lunch, ordered pizza bowel and bold your own pasta. We're there for 20 minutes before we got drinks and 30 minutes before we got our salad . The waitress was apparently new and when she brought the appetizer it was wrong. It was a very disappointing experience. We will not be returning to that Olive Garden, the manager apologized but by that time the whole meal was ruined and we had lost our appetites
service and food quality.
My daughter and I were driving through Illinois on 6-3-18, and stopped at the Olive Garden on 1701 East Empire Street in Bloomington, Illinois for a take out dinner, and continue with our drive. The first issue was that the guy behind the bar to take carry out orders was rude, and said he'd be with me shortly, no eye contact, and a chip on his shoulder. He continued goofing around with other employees and fiddling around behind the bar. A girl ended up coming from the back and took my order, she was laughing and said that they were about to run out of bread sticks and someone was driving to Peoria Illinois to pick up more. When receiving the order I asked for some salt and pepper packets and the guy said they were in the plastic ware bag. I took our order to the car, and we began driving. My shrimp was nearly raw and very rubbery, the pasta was starchy and overdone, with an incredibly small portion. My daughter ordered plain fettuccine alfredo but it looked like there was chicken in it, but it was bits of overcooked cheese sauce? There was no salt or pepper packets like promised. My daughter ordered an extra side of alfredo sauce and the container was filled to, at most, 1/3 of the way and it was very runny and tasteless. The bill was a very overpriced $36.85.
service
So just ate at your olive garden in st.cloud Minnesota food was amazing service was terrible had to wait 10 minutes after we got are food for our silverware she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing they were understaffed so they didn't have sections were there tables were close enough together to work efficiently then when check came they didn't bring enough change back when I brought it to there attention they pretty much laughed at me while they were walking away needless to say probably won't be returning
Food was amazing service was horrible waited 10 minutes after we got our food for our silverware they were understaffed and did not have them in sections instead they were running all over the restaurant when the check finally came I didn't get all my change back so brought it to managers attention and she laughed at me as she walked away to fix it
dirty eating utensils and wine glass
Visited my local Olive Garden Restaurant this Sunday evening only to be given a dirty set of eating utensils that were hand wrapped in a napkin. Manager is as called over to my table and shown and was given another set. While eating my dinner I then observed that the wine glass I was drinking out of was also had noticeably food on the outside. Manager was called to the table again and apologized and removed the wine glass. At this point we asked for our check and decided to eat the remainder of our food at home. Very disappointed with my visit and even more so how the Manager on duty handled our experience this evening. I will not visit this location in the future.
the food and service was good it was where they sat us.
Being only 2 of us, we were sat in a room of kids. They were loud and screaming, it really makes for a tense and not so nice dinner date with your spouse. We sat there listening to the screaming while trying to enjoy our meal. The hostess needs to pay more attention when sitting a couple compared to families. It doesn't matter whose turn it is next, do the couple a favor and sit them in a quieter place.
dessert to go
I had a decent meal even though service was a bit slow. Afterward, my wife ordered a piece of chocolate mousse cake to go for later in the evening. A few hours later, at home, she opened the to go box to find that it was a plain piece of cheese cake! Returning it tomorrow will only get a refund. Simple paid for order to fill. It's not about getting a refund for a slice of cake. We spent over $80 on dinner and the cake was only like $7. I'm upset that we were ideal patrons and spent a decent amount and left a good tip.
smell problem and water on floor in restroom
Extremely sour smelling restaurant as soon as you walk in the front door. The hostess is always a problem. This particular one was more interested in coworkers coming in to visit than the customer in front of her.
Visit today Lincoln NE location at 11am June 1 2018.
I excused myself to go to the restroom when I arrived and waiter was prompt.he took my order when I arrived, I went to restroom..water all over floor...
I came back and my silverware was Missing and everything put back like I wasn't there.
I mean wth. They didn't give me 10minutes...before being rid of me.
This is in Lincoln NE!
no discounts for seniors, no lunch discounts and no recognition for birthdays
On 5/29/2018, at about 11:30am, l decided to take myself to lunch for my birthday.
Ordered the chicken lasagna. Wasn't aware, I had to pay for the sauce and the meat separately. Deeply disappointed.
Was told you don't give discounts to seniors, lunch prices are whatever you see on the menu, and no birthday recognitions.
I'm under the impression, you want to get every penny you can get out of customers.
Will not be returning.
If you can't afford to pay, don't go out to dine. Of course they want to make money, that's why they're in business!
If you cannot afford to pay full price then do not go there. Why should you get special treatment just because it is your birthday or because you are a senior.
service
ordered 75$ worth of to go food took 45 min had to tell her stuff was missing . went back in to ask for a simple bowl of Alfredo thinking it would be offered free for all our trouble but instead got talked to hateful and my husband ended up paying 5 more dollars for a spoonful of alfredo..never again.manager needs customer relations class.they should have tried to make us happy instead of making us mad, eating cold food and being hateful
Most likely due to your poor English they did not understand you and that is why stuff was missing. Why should they give you something for free because of your poor English? Offering something for free is a gesture of goodwill. Demanding something for free is rude.
poor service with waitress
I was in Olive Garden today 5/30/18 waitress name Brenda from Bakersfield ca... celebrating my boy graduation and service was not good bad really bad service waitress didn't even offered to pick up plates or offered more drinks she was races when the billed came she wanted a tip and I don't have a problem as longest I get that service and attention I ask for a bag and she rold her eyes at me that is not costumer service?
You have a mouth. If you want more drinks speak up. She is not a mind reader.
horrible salads/ service
We went for lunch to the Olive Garden located at 78th and Cicero in Bedford Park Illinois at around 1:30 on the 30th of May and the service that we received was poor but understandable but the food was horrible the salad look like it had died and maybe came back it was very very old and the service was just so slow and bad I had sympathy thinking maybe it was her first day but then found out no it wasn't never even knew her name because she never told it to us so it was very horrible the salad was just disgusting and then I was a little upset my daughter had paid the bill and did not even get the receipt so that I was able to find out the server's name and maybe call back or do a survey on there to let them know that management needs to keep up they do offer unlimited salads and soup so I do feel that their salad should been more presentable I mean tasteful even looked better
