food and service
On 12/9/2016 me and my boyfriend decided went to dinner at the Olive Garden in Wilson, NC. When we were finally seated it took 20 minutes to have someone even come and take our drink order. Once we ordered our meals we sat there for 45 minutes waiting for our food only to have half of our order wrong. Instead of letting him keep his Shrimp Alfredo it was taken back to the kitchen and brought out again 15 minutes later and it was cold. My meal arrived 20 minutes after his. I ordered the Sicilian cheesecake to go and when I got home i realized that I was given the Pumpkin cheesecake instead. I am very disappointed in the service that I received.
product
Tonight we celebrated my grandson's birthday. There were 5 of us. We were at store #1652 (Jackson, TN). on 12/12/16.
It's the worse meal I've ever eaten - ordered medium done steak - it came out well done. The only thing worse would have been if it was burnt to a crisp. My strawberry Margarita was horrible...the worse I've ever had!
However, I must say the service was excellent as our waiter tried to do his best, & to accommodate us.
Peter Thomas, manager, should be made aware of how fantastic this waiter was. Looking at the receipt I believe the H Myles listed was our waiter. We ate at table 311. The receipt has the time as 18:19:37
salad
Today I had horrible pain and diarrhea for several hours. The ONLY thing I had eaten out of my usual was a salad at Olive Garden in Brighton, MI. This is the second time this has happened from that particular location, & third time from Olive Garden Restaurants in the last two years. Each time all I had was the salad. Either they use old/contaminated lettuce or they must spray it with some kind of chemical to prevent wilting. Either way, I was violently ill, and won't be back.
Having worked at this particular restaurant, my guess is that you got sick from using dirty utensils. Almost all utensils, salad bowls and plates come out dirty!
Then you have servers and everyone else coming to work sick. You will notice that the servers use a gold cloth napkin to hold hot plates, but that same napkin gets used usually throughout the shift and gets used for other things such as wiping hands off, wiping wet and dirty dishes etc.. This particular restaurant is very unsanitary and management does nothing about it! Management also does not care one bit about the health and well being of the employees. This restaurant alone has over a hundred employees and they hire continuously? Almost everyone is part time except management ) and the servers make very little money due to the facts that they do not get many hours, too many employees and they can only have three tables each at the maximum.
I honestly wish I would of not accepted the job . They lied to me and said they could and would give me 30-40 hours a week. Total and flat out lie. I Highly recommend that you find a better Italian restaurant. I may cost a little more, but you may save yourselves from getting food poison. I plan on turning them in to the Health Dept. and the Dept. of Labor and call ICE agents as I suspect illegal aliens are working there. Some can't speak English. This is how bad it is in Brighton, MI. So bad that I want them shut down. They have treated me and others horrible!
food was sub par and made everyone have diarrhea
Hi,
We just frequented your location in Carlsbad Ca. last night and after eating the food 3 out of 5 of us had to rush to the bathroom to have diarrhea.
By the way the mens bathroom stalls were not in good shape! Then this morning the other 2, same frantic need to go.
Server was very polite helpful, as was his attitude but many of the items we wanted either weren't available or he brought us other items that we did not order as a replacement. Nice thought but without our knowledge?
There was a smell in the whole restaurant of like a vomit odor which I assumed was just a bad cheesy smell.?! Food to me tasted like something was not fresh or improperly stored, old or ?
Its been a while since we have visited Olive Garden and I have to say the experience was nothing like what I remembered from times past.
Lastly we provided a coupon which I believe the manager stated was not acceptable though she did make up by offering us an alternative.
Not sure what else to say other than we came to celebrate a 8 yr olds birthday and no one enjoyed the experience. Im usually not one to complain but to me for an $85.00 meal we should have something good to say about the experience and expense other than diarrhea and a lighter wallet!
Sincerely and Kind Regards,
Kelly N. Perez

It's a 25 mile round trip to the Olive Garden in Blue Springs MO for my husband and I. Past experience has been great. We get Spaghetti and Meatballs with meat sauce. It has always been delightful in past experiences. But not on the evening. Got home with spaghetti noodles and meatballs. That's it. No sauce what so ever. Called manager explained. He offered to send a 25.00 gift card. OK, sounds reasonable. Been waiting 3 weeks. I doubt it's coming. I don't go back to places that don't take customer service seriously. I have been in the service industry for over 30 yrs. I always treat as I want to be treated. Let's see how this is handled. I will keep you updated. Thank You.
coupon
My family visited Olive Garden last night after shopping at the Robinson mall in Pittsburgh. We had a coupon for a free appetizer and the waitress said it would work. When we received our bill the appetizer was not taken off so we mention this to her and she said she was sorry that she forgot and went back to change it but came back out and says that she couldn't change it because it was something that she did wrong and handed us back the coupon and told us were here you could just use it next time my complaint is that we do not live close to an Olive Garden we live an hour away and we don't get to visit there frequently so we were quite put off that they would not 't accommodate the free appetizer when she initially said she was going to..
shrimp alfrado and lasagnia
Me and my husband got sick off called and talked to Manager Tony, he told me I could not have gotten sick and said that It takes 24 hours to know if you got sick from his food, told me to call back and two days and let him know how I felt, I told him I was sick what a Jerk.
Bad customer services
Bad Customer Service, you don't call anyone a lier, when they bring a problem to your attention.
online sign up for waiting line
On Nov 11, 2016 I reserved a spot in the waiting line online, I was trying to take advantage of the free entree for veterans and attend a concert for Billy Joel afterwards.
When I got to olive garden there was a 40 minute wait that I thought I was avoiding by getting in line online.
The person in charge of the waiting line informed me that the advance reservation did not apply on weekends. Technically it was not the weekend although it was a national holiday.
We could not wait 40 minutes and make it to the concert in a timely manner so we left for a quick meal elsewhere.
Olive Garden needs to make notification online that the online reservation system does not apply too 'weekends'.
Thanks
waitress
We go to Olive Garden at least 2 times a month. These last two times, we had the same waitress. I didn't complain the last time because I thought maybe she was new. This time, she was just as bad.
We ordered our meal and 1st she never gave us straws (not a big deal). She didn't bring the red pepper that we requested and had to ask for a second time. We ordered extra dressing on the salad and she din't bring that. Then, she brought the meals. I ordered cavatappi with asiago garlic alfredo. She brought it with meatballs and said she added the meatballs to the bill. I told her I didn't order meatballs. She looked and realized she had made a mistake. Instead of leaving the meal and not charging me for the meatballs, she took it back and I had to wait another 5 minutes before she returned as my husband proceeded to eat his meal before it got cold.
Her name was Margaret M at table 114 on 11/11 in Brandon, FL. Check # 38603
poor service/poor quality of food
I had the displeasure of visiting Olive Garden on 11/9/2016 at 10540 S State Street, Sandy, Utah . We were seated in what appears to be the "forgotten" corner near the kitchen. We got our drinks and appetizers nearly 20 minutes after ordering. We were a party of 2. As other patrons came in they were all seated in the section in front of us with attentive servers. Not only did we order full entrees and NOT get our food but 4 other tables that were seated well after us in the "good section" had their full entrees while we on the other hand were still waiting for a simple drink refill. We were the only ones secluded from other people, we were the only ones without a waiter actively helping us, and the 3 token breadsticks we did receive were old, hard, dry, and crunchy as though they were warmed leftovers. After over an hour without proper service or our entrees I asked for the manager. The complaint to the female manager on duty fell upon deaf ears as she walked over in a defensive manner with a sneer, a furrowed brow, and a fake smile as if we were bothering her. She was kind enough only after I accused her staff of racial discrimination and putting us in the "back of the bus" with substandard food that she decided to "comp" our Cokes and appetizer. Perception is everything! This was my personal experience and my perception of what happened with Olive Garden in Sandy. I hope they get better training on how to treat and serve their customers.
Racial discrimination. Of course it was. It can not possibly have a thing to do with what you ordered.
my dinner
My dining experience tonight was terrible! I have always had awesome dining experiences but tonight was beyond ridiculous. My server was great.. But I think he might've been overwhelmed. Both my friend and I order was wrong. He brought us replacements that were cold and the my friend's parmesan chicken was dry and cold. We didn't get our drinks we had to ask for them... When they finally arrived... Those were wrong!
An absolutely terrible meal!
Very disappointed olive garden.
overall service
A good friend and myself met for lunch at the Olive Garden on Sawmill Road, #7160 at 1129 Sawmill Rd, Columbus, Ohio on 11/4/2015 at approximately 12:40pm. I walked in the Olive Garden and advised the young lady at counter that I was waiting for another person and let her know she may be already there. I mentioned her name was Denise Wood [but I did not know she had reserved the table under her nickname, 'Dee'. A couple of minutes later, I mentioned that she may be already there and she was... at a back table. I proceeded back and our waitress came to table and asked first, 'What would you like to drink'? I ordered a Brandy Alexander and advised the waitress that I would like it made with vanilla ice cream, NOT ICE, blended with the brandy. Mireya G was out waitress and went to check with the bar to see if they could make it the way I requested. She brought out my drink, which was blended with ICE and brandy and not as I requested. Well, that started the lunch service to go downhill from there. The bar remade a second one and it was in a different glass shape, but basically made the same way. I was really upset now, but keep as cool as I could. THIS IS MY FAVORITE DRINK AND I LIKE IT MADE THE WAY I LIKE IT...VANILLA ICE CREAM MIXED WITH BRANDY IN A BLENDER. She did not apologize, acknowledged my friend with eye contact several times on her needs for a refill Coke drink and what she wanted for lunch and acted as though I was not sitting at the same table with lunch needs. When we were about to leave she asked my friend if she wanted her to box her meal and did not ask me. I gave her my plate of mussels that were left for her to box them for me. She reluctantly and unapologetically boxed my mussels, did not seem to really feel it, but did box the mussels that were on my dinner plate. Mireya G does not have customer service skills -- no smile, no apologize, no over and above service. BUT I DID LEAVE HER A TIP, BECAUSE I TRY TO TREAT ALL PEOPLE THE WAY I LIKE TO BE TREATED, WITH RESPECT. I am a minister of the gospel for ten years, soon to be ordained a pastor. I was humiliated in my service at the Olive Garden and will NEVER go back there and will pass by it if someone asked me to go there and tell them my experience. My money spends like everybody elses and I do have feeling. I WOULD APPRECIATE A RESPONSE AND REPLY TO THIS COMPLAINT. I have been in customer service positions for 10+ years, at Verizon Wiress for 5 years and took care of the customer first to make them happy and resolve their wireless needs and issues with professionalim, kindness and respect.
If you wanted your drink made different than normal, then you should have spoken to the bartender. The bartender is the one who makes the drinks not your waitress. You seem like an unreasonable ### who should only eat at home from now on.
all you can eat pasta promotion
My husband and I dined at the location on Lindberg Ave. location in, St. Louis, Missouri. We were quite taken aback when our server brought only " one" bowl of salad and one order of bread sticks initially; he never refilled the salad/bread sticks after he served us the entire bowl of salad without us requesting him to. I ordered the linguini w/ marinara sauce and meatballs. When I requested more of the " endless " pasta, etc. I was TOLD, I would get more when I finished my initial bowl. Really? When I did eventually receive my order there were NO meatballs w/ the pasta. My initial order only contained TWO meatballs! Totally UNBELIEVABLE! SOMETHING definitely needs to be done to right this wrong. By the way I have photos of the waiter, food, etc.
We want a do over, for the unbelievable service we received!
service
We have gone to the Pooler, Ga. Olive Garden location and every time the host has told us a 10 minute wait when my wife and I could clearly see multiple booths/tables clean/available. On both visits this has happen and we simply left when no one could explain why there was a wait time with over half the tables not in use and clean. My Name is Scott Czaplewski and my email is scott.[protected]@gmail.com
Not sure. I have had that happen too to other posts. It shows a notification but nothing there. Weird.
If you can't figure out why you have to wait when there are tables open, then you need to eat at home. And if you can't wait 10 freaking minutes, you definitely should eat at home.
despicable service.
We have been going to Olive Garden for many years. The last time we were there the server was not only rude but also pushy. I never want to step foot in there again. My friends used to call Olive Garden (Orange, CA) our headquarters for our Girls Night Out but the last time left such a bad taste in my mouth.
No server should be rude or pushy. Our server never even listened to what we had asked for; not once but at least three times. So sad.
my complaint is about service
Hello I recently visiting a Olive Garden on Ben White and South Lamar I was with my family my husband my 10 year old and I have a newborn newborn started getting a little fussy and my waitress started acting really really rude and made us feel very very uncomfortable. Coming off of strength didn't ask us for salad when he was taking our order he was trying to hurry up and get it over with we feel very uncomfortable after their rude behavior and me and my husband decided to leave because they still took 30 minutes to ask us what we would like I love Olive Garden I go there many times this is the first time I've ever had such a rude waiter just helping my next visit would be better than that it was about two days ago that we visited that Olive Garden and it was a waiter with a beard I didn't get his name so after feeling so uncomfortable we ended up walking out and just got orders to go...
Why in heaven's name would you take a newborn to a restaurant? When we had babies, we took a 3 or 4 year moratorium from eating in a restaurant unless the kid stayed home with a sitter. Until that kid could sit there quiet and behaved, we ate at home. We were no worse for the wear. Get with the program, babe.
the attitude and rude behaviour of the manager karen and server seige at renner road hilliard location
We were the regular customers of the renner road hilliard location since last 3 years, what happened yesterday was unbelievable and very sad..we were 4 adults..we ordered 2 meals and wanted to split as we always do they said you will not be able to enjoy unlimited pasta i said no problem and plus we ordered an appetizer and an extra salad ..and we ordered a soup with one meal and a salad with the other meal..the server was totally rude and i felt we are here for some investigation the manager karen planted this situation with the server seige or cj..they ended up charging us for 3 salads and when i tried to speak to karen the manager that old lady totally lost it and said i was standing right behind the server told you every thing i don't give a crap about the $6.70 i paid extra but is this the way you treat your customers..do you spy on them while they are eating..she made me and my family felt like beggers..when i asked for tje district managers number she got scared and told me to go on website and complain..such a big organisation with totally inappropriate behaviour..i don't know wether it is possible or not but i want to sue them for their behaviour..there brains are filled with dirt rather than business...Shame on you olive garden you have lost a regular customer for the sake of $ 6.70! Incident date 10/5/2016 time 9.00 manager name is karen server name seige or cj location was renner road hilliard.
server behavior
Our server was very nice and personable, so it's not that - it's just the way they are so casual, using the term "you guys" several times. My husband and I are older, and this isn't how we were raised! The server comes to the table, and it's "how are you guys today?" Then in the middle of the meal, it's "how're you guys doing?" Then when we leave, it's "bye guys!" They should just say politely, "how are you today? I'll be your server."
So they are being nice, but it's just so casually familiar, like we're all in college together. I realize that people are not taught social niceties anymore and this is the result, and that managers probably don't know any different either, but maybe this is something restaurants could and should take up in their training!
service and food
I went to Olive Garden location 760 Route 202, Bridgewater, NJ, 08807
on 9/16/2016
the food is very bad test looks like reheated food or old food plus the service is very slow and for several times not only one time they play game with the Check Amount, and evry time they said oh sorry it was by mistake?
customer service
Last night my family and I ate at the Olive Garden in Times Square . Whilst sat in the restaurant my handbag was stolen from the back of my chair . This was very upsetting, but what was more upsetting was the attitude of the management . Basically they didn't care the manager made no effort to help me just shrugged his shoulders . Only our waiter made an effort to help. The manager gave me the feeling that this thing happens all the time in his restaurant, what sort of message does that give to tourists .
Do not go to Olive Garden Times Square unless you want to be robbed !
This complaint is obviously coming from a millennial. They never accept responsibility for their behavior or actions and always want to blame someone else. Next time wear a cross body bag; Never hang your purse on the back of a chair; leave your bag in the car and only take in a card. don't sit in an open space, get a booth. Take it as a lesson learned from your being stupid. It's not the restaurant or the managers's fault or responsibility to monitor your possessions when you go out to eat.
Not their job to call the cops. It is the customer's.
I Cant image how that made you feel ! If I had been out at dinner and was robbed I would have felt extremely scared. But for the manger to treat you like, that would be like poring salt on a wound. They are in the bussines of serving people not treating them like they don't care. I was wondering did they call the police for you ?
I have a few things to say to this. First being, that it is not their fault your purse got stolen, and I, like they, have no idea what you expected them to do about it.
Second, telling people they will be robbed if they eat there is inflammatory and could be grounds for a lawsuit against you. The fact that you got robbed does not mean that this place is a bad place to eat. It means you, individually, had something stolen.
Third, you say you and your family, meaning there were at least 3 of you at the table. At least one of you was seated across from you, within plain view of the back of the area in which you sat. Which means, the person seated across from you had a clear line of sight of anyone coming up or passing behind you. So, why did the person seated across from you not notice someone lift your purse?
The fact is, you were careless with your belongings and had them stolen. No one's fault but yours and the thief's. The only thing you can do is call the cops and report it. Olive Garden has no responsibility here.
