Oman Air stranded in bangkok airport for 2 days without food & water due to airline staff mistake

Dear sir / madam,

My name is sreehari venkitachalam. I had booked 2 tickets for my friends to travel from ho chi minh to dubai on 12th june 2018. The reservation code is dcatbx. As per the email received from oman air asking me to confirm the authenticity of the transaction and credit card used to book the flight, I personally went to the oman air dubai city office situated in the first floor of al rais shopping center, al fahidi bur dubai and provided my id proof (emirates id) and the adcb debit card used to purchase the tickets. They wrote an email to the airlines muscat head office and got the transaction and credit card verified and confirmed the same. Also I received an email from oman airways confirming the transaction and authenticity of the card, which I have attached with this email. On the basis of the confirmation received from oman air, my friends also got checked in from ho chi minh and they travelled from ho chi minh to bangkok by vietnam airlines flight vn603. After they reached bangkok and when they proceeded to check in for the travel to muscat, they were stopped by your oman air bangkok staff citing the reason credit card copy required and my friends were not allowed to board the flight nor did my friends receive a boarding pass for bangkok to muscat and muscat to dubai. My friends didn't have balance to call me nor did they have net in phone to whatsapp message me. Finally somehow they managed to use the airport wi-fi and whatsapp me the issue. I immediately send them the picture of my debit card through whatsapp itself. But your staff informed them it is too late and the boarding has been closed and the flight left bangkok without my friends.

My friends were stuck in bangkok airport without money for even eating and too much tension for myself and my friends also. I ran around for 2 days seeking the help of oman air staff in your dubai airport office, dubai city office and dubai customer care. Except for one staff in oman air dubai city office, balance everyone one was pushing the responsibility to the other person saying they can't do anything in this case as it is another station. At last when I tried to do rescheduling of the tickets all your offices informed me to pay an additional amount between aed 1300 to aed 2000 per passenger.

The most pathetic is oman air don't have a system to file a complaint and even if we complaint also no one have even bothered to respond back to solve the matter till date. I had send the below request on 13th june 2018 to oman air through facebook messenger and also posted in oman air facebook home page.

So please help them by looking into the matter on an urgent basis and please make necessary arrangements for them to travel in the next earliest available flight (9.10 am bangkok to muscat and muscat to dubai). Hoping for your favorable humanitarian action on this matter on an urgent basis as my friends are stranded in bangkok airport without proper food or water. All formalities and procedures were completed well in advance and without fail from my side as well as my friend's side.

At last when no one in oman air was ready to help to solve the issue, I sold my and my wife's gold and booked a ticket for my friends in emirates airlines, to travel from bangkok to dubai on 13th june, 2018 which costed me aed 4800 for one way ticket for 2 persons. I had to face all these troubles, sufferings and money loss because of an irresponsible oman air staff. All formalities and procedures were completed well in advance and without fail from my side as well as from my friend's side. Please look into the matter on a high priority basis and do the needful to refund back the entire amount without any deductions. As it was a mistake from oman air, bangkok airport staff, who did not check the system properly.

Oman Air missing luggage

I had taken Oman air to fly from Doha-Muscat and Muscat-Dubai airport on 7th of June, I boarded properly from Doha with 2 luggage that is one my hand carry and other 29plus kg large luggage. upon arriving at Dubai airport baggage belt my luggage was missing hence I immediately went to the query desk and lugged complain (property irregularitiey report) immediately. after knowing all the scenarios airlines staff has promised me to deliver my luggage latest by 5pm same day to my location. and it's been now 5 days neither o got any confirmation nor any response. How horrible Oman air service is? Worst ever airlines travel with. I am new to Dubai as I have recite my self from Doha and all my belongings was there in my luggage. but due to the careless of staff it was lost or either misplaced and I do understand that but since how long I will keep on extend my patience. I am just left with single pair of clothes which I was wearing while traveling.
Honestly speaking I have mad more than 50 calls so far, I have personally visited dubai terminal 1 Oman air office, Danata office airport but encountered with same excuses alike we will check "we will do follow up"we have send email "so on so and here I am new to UAE spending huge money everyday to buy my needy clothes, footwear, belt and other item. Oman air staffs are very much relaxed and they are acting like nothing has has happened.
List of my items are listed as I can not remember all the item but I have mentioned all the item details which I can remember. really horrible experience with Oman air and I wish even my enemy should not be treated like this. So far no call confirmation from airlines. isnt it is strange. I am literally having tough time to get my luggage back as I have my all belongings and some important documents like marriage certificate/academic certificate etc were there which can not be compensated or reproduced at any cost. Hope someone will revert back to me

Oman Air refund process / worst service ever

It has been pending for over 25 days... N it's not just the delay... It of wasting our time:
1. Before booking the ticket I had cross checked the cancellation process... N it seemed perfectly simple.
2. So, now when I was booking the ticket online the money got deducted but the ticket was not received..
3. Si I called again the call centre, n they informed due to some it issue the ticket couldn't be issued. So I should go ahead booking n new ticket n previous money will be refunded back.
4. When I asked for some written confirmation, they rejected n said I have trust them as there is no process of emails by call centre.. Which is completely absurd..
5. Nonetheless, I trusted mohit n team n went ahead issuing a new ticket.
6. Then as we needed to change the date immediately it was done in goa airport by the passenger.
7. Then I had to cancel the ticket, I called the call centre. They informed I had to fill the request frefund online. Then again it couldn't go through.
8. So again I called the call center, they said no problem and send email to [protected]@omanair.com. Which I did immediately.
9. Assuming my refund in process, I received a reminder email from oman air for the flight... So I called the call center again.. Then new info.. They said they shall do the needful online in me behalf..
10. Finally the ticket was cancelled then now the refund.. After 2 days when I followed up with the call center, mr mohit the so called supervisor of the oman air call center, confirmed to me I can go to any oman air office and collect the refund amount immediately in cash. I cross confirmed with him multiple times.. And still confirmed. He gave me the nearest office addresses in dubai.
11. Then removing time I visited the office in bur dubai, dubai and met mr balaji.. Who gave us a completely different story... But having said that he promised to sort this issue.. Again we trusted him and left..
12. Now it has been 20 days n no response on the refund and still the process clarity in not there by any staff in oman air apparently.

Oman Air penalty charged for a missing flight at the airport

My flight to Dar Es Salaam was departing 21h55, I arrive in time 20h05 on 28th May 2018 and your Oman Air representative advised me to go on D check in (first this was the wrong instruction given your representative at the entrance, the Philippine girl), there was a long que que and I joined line which was very long and I wanted to make an inquiry to the check in person that I should be given priority as I know the limit of the late check in is as at least 40 minutes, they refused even to listed to me, so I went back on the que que but that I had to go out again and raise my voice that you should atleast listen to my inquiry, but they refused again and instructed that I should still stay on the line/que que.

I ran out of my patience worrying that I will miss my flight and your team of unprofessional can even deliver the customer care for atleast listening, thus I forced myself to the check in counter and harshly I informed the check in person that he should check in me first as I am running out of time. He then looked at my electronic ticket and advised that I should not be standing on D check in row but C one, this was a simple information that I needed in advance, rather than me standing in a long que que mislead by your team and also refused to even provide the customer care which is our right, or even provide the online details which show the right check in counter displayed, too much time was wasted.
I walked just few steps to the C roc check and sadly I was told the check is closed that was about 21h15, asked to go to the supervisor desk. I explained the situation but none of the seemed to care, on arrival I remember well that we exchanged greetings to a man in Oman air uniform on Duty called Mohamed (on which I came to know later I came to find he is one of the supervisor and he was on the desk while as I was making a claim, himself witnessed the time of my arrival and knew that I flying to Dar es Salaam, but he didn't open his mouth to say something.
One of the supervisor duties is to make sure all is going well for customers /passenger; standing on the right line, himself he could easily instruct me you proceed on C row for check in. This show you have a team of unprofessional candidate. While at the counter explaining the situation he recognized me but he didn't even open up his mouth to say yes I saw this lady we exchanged greeting and asked her destination he is going, he felt shame to failed his duty so he walked away without a word.
Your supervisor team was throwing a ball on each other between Hassan, Issa (if not mistaken the name) only one representative by the name of Abdallah Al Riyam listened to me on the third time, on which he tried to help by calling another supervisor and the reservation and ticketing desk, then I was passed to Reservation and ticketing to Mr. Nasser which he informed by that he can schedule me for another flight without payment, I was forced to pay a penalty of 40 OMR for their own mistake, their own mislead information, for their unprofessional support am totally disappointed for your customer service to the customer complain/s and requesting for my refund penalty that I have been charged.
Unfortunately, firstly, there was no any indication on the flight boarding as it supposed to be, as if I could see my flight details on the indication board I would be standing on the right line or knowing I am standing on the wrong line.
Secondly, there was no call at all for flight to Dar es Salaam departure and thirdly there was no last call for flight departure for my destination, this must be announced as the part of flight regulations as I was on the opposite side on the (wrong check in que que) I could easily hear and make a quick shout.

Oman air cancelled my flight to Dar Es Salaam on 25th May 2018 (ref: [protected]) without any apology or refund not know how much I lost because of your previous cancellation.
My re scheduled flight again is on 30th May 2018 21h55 ref [protected]) and I have charged penalty on my coming flight for their faults. I need to know the status of my issue before my departure.
I have all the proof of my arrival time for my airport ticket, the photos I took while in there etc. and you can also check on CCTV records.
Please consider my request for penalty refund at your earliest

Oman Air airline flight

I boarded a flight to Manchester and was harassed the whole time by another passenger. During the flight a ossneger continually provoked me and was extremely aggressive. The crew members did absolutely nothing about this! In the end I found another person to swap seats with me. After moving the aggressive passenger followed me around the plane and continued harassing and provoking. He continually swore, shouted and screamed. Not one member of the useless staff intervened or tried to help. I'm am disgusted and will never fly with you again. I will make sure I tell everyone I know this too.

Even after 3 days of booking ticket from your site, not able to get eticket also Status of confirmation not shown on Oman Air site.

Contacted Oman Air, as per them the paymemt is not received at there side, so I should contact the agency where I book the ticket.

But more than 3 days passed but till now not able to get eticket.

Called the Oman airlines. As per them they not received the amount. That's why showing that status.

Oman Air food on the flight

Hello,

I had recently flown on oman air (28th April, 2018) WY822 from Kuala Lumpur to oman and WY105 from Oman to Manchester, UK. I had ordered a special (vegan) meal. However, my food contained butter (lurpak) and a dessert which also had dairy in it. As I was unaware, I consumed it and as I am lactose intolerant my health suffered due to it. I would like to complain about this service.

Oman Air bad customer service

I would like to make a complaint regarding the bad staff service from goa to Muscat and Muscat to London which I have received today I have travelled for 17hrs journey from India to uk
They have not provide me food on both flight they were serving first all special meal after all have eaten I was waiting for food I have book a Muslim meal no one even came and ask me then I need to raise the complaint to air hosted and they apologise it ok but same thing happen again on uk flight this is unexceptable for me and the food given to me was not even hot I have to return it back to them and again they apologise I am not happy with the customer service. So I am raising this complaint for what we pay n we are not getting the things what u will except I want to be compensated with this flight I don't need any more apologise regard to what they have done to me
I can't understand how the staff had been train to look after there customer even they don't come when we call is unexceptable

Oman Air as I have booked the flight of oman airways in business class 2 ticket to delhi to cairo and return cairo to delhi.

I have booked 2 business class ticket with oman air in the name of : 1) sunil chandra
2) kavita chandra
We are member of sindbad and our membership number are sunil: wy135616924 for kavita : wy135637784.
I have given the request for meal specially indian veg meal, and the request was accepted by your airline and confirmation was also send to me that your meal is arranged.
But when I was in flight no indian veg meal was served to me and your staff in the plane said that they did not get any information about the meal from ground staff or back end of the airline.
I have spend rs 1, 93, 000 for ticket in your airline in business class for comfort and my veg indian food but nothing was done,
Hence I want refund of my meal value according to your policy, and I will wait for your revert of how much amount you are refunding me and when,
otherwise I will take this matter serious and file the complaint against the airline with the confirmation mail of indian meal done for me and my co - passenger.

Oman Air service on a business flight from kathmandu to muscat

I, along with three other people, had an economy flight from Kathmandu to Muscat (going onto London) on the 12th April 2018 number WY336T.
When we arrived at Kathmandu Airport to check in, we were asked if we would like to pay for an upgrade to Business Class as there were seats available.
We agreed but it took some 45mins to arrange payments etc asthe card machine had broken down, so we had to pay cash in Nepal Rupees, having changed UK Sterling to the value of 70, 000 rupees each totalling 210, 00 rupees.
When all was arranged we were given a voucher for the Business Class Lounge.

The lounge was SHUT when we went to go in and by then the flight was being called to board.

After being shown to our seats, a steward brought a 'menu' for the flight meals which we all duly chose.

When the meal arrived it was not the one which was asked for but the steward stated that was all they had...I had ordered Canneloni but got a rice and chicken dish which was inedible. The others had ordered the same and also could not eat the rice dish. The steward even tried telling one person that it WAS Canneloni ? despite it obviously being rice ?

We complained to the steward and chief steward and they said it was not their fault as they had not expected anyone in Business Class for that flight.

I would be obliged if you are able to say in what way were arte recompensed for this disgraceful treatment.

Oman Air damaged luggages

On 4 April 2018, I traveled from Bahrain to Kuala Lumpur via Muscat on your flights WY 654 and WY 821 respectively. Upon my arrival at my hotel on 6 April 2018, I was thoroughly dismayed when I discovered that 2 of my suitcases were badly damaged.

My smaller suitcase was broken at the top while the bigger one was badly cracked on both sides. These damaged suitcases seemed to have been thrown and / or stacked with heavier loads. What happened to them were clearly the consequence of mishandling as these suitcases were made to withstand the normal handling of the typical traveler.

Needless to say I did not expect this type of service, and resultant damage, from your airline. I do expect immediate repair or reimbursement for your mishandling of my suitcases. I also expect that you will speak with the ramp personnel responsible for the damaged condition of my personal property. Travelers select the carrier to travel on. Do not give travelers, like myself, a reason to avoid selecting your airline.

Oman Air harassment, application of unauthorized power by the ground staff at bangalore airport

I was travelling from Bangalore to Milan via Muscat on 15th Feb 2018. I had a valid Schengen tourist visa for six months and had a return ticket booking for 26th of April. The staff at the check in counter was asking me about whether I have a confirmed return ticket and as I was answering him, another Oman air staff asked the check in guy what color my passport was, and he said blue. After this exchange, this second guy came to me and said that I cannot travel unless I produce all the hard copies of the documents I had submitted to the Consulate and also a confirmed return ticket, plus they are also going to contact the Consulate right then regarding the validity of my visa and if they did not reply before the counter closed ie. one hour from that time I will not be allowed to proceed with my journey. This was a great shock for me, as the ground staff instead of helping me were hell-bound on stopping me from making my journey. Somehow I managed to get my return ticket and the documents within the next hour, but I am appalled at this unauthorized use of power by the check in counter staff of Oman Air at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru.

Oman Air I am complaining about baggage loss

Dear Customer services

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Baggage - lost or damaged

The issue that I have experienced was: I was Returning to Cochin, India from Toronto, Canada on Jan 6th, 2018 and when I arrived at the destination, I didn't receive my bags. I went to the Oman airline office, and the Oman airline staff asked us to wait for 21 days for the investigation. After 21 days, when I called them to get the update and they said that bag has been misplaced and not able to trace it. So we would request you to complete the form for claiming process. I claimed for 2650 CAD because they were valuable things inside the bag. But Now i got the update, that they can compensate only 400 USD as an final settlement, which makes me disappointed. I said them I'm going to complaint to the consumer India. So they said, its all up to you. We can compensate only 400 USD. its really disappointing

It occurred on: January 6th, 2018

Company have give bag more than the money cos i have valuable things inside otherwise pay cad2600

I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account.

Oman Air lost baggage not been found or compensated for

On the 21st of September 2017 me and my 2 sons traveled with Oman air from Lahore airport to London Heathrow airport. They lost my baggage and still haven found it. They are not cooperating with me at all as I am trying to make a claim. THEY ARE USELESS AND UNCOOPERATIVE this is not fair. I told them to send me a claim form via post and they did not do so. I got my friend to email them as I do not know how to email. They replied for a few emails and then stopped responding all together. This is very unprofessional. My baggage is worth £4000+ and they are offering to give me £1000. ARE THEY STUPID! My sons were so upset about the loss of our baggage as it contained their EXPENSIVE tracksuits, shoes, caps and other accessories. It also contained my dresses, expensive clutch, gifts from my family, shoes and jewellery. This is very unprofessional of them I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO OMAN AIR! Oman Air muscat bangkok trip and visa issue

I travelled with my family on thursday 25 January 2018, with Oman Air, flight WY 881, but i couldn't continue my trip to attend a conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We were obliged to go back to Muscat . A real shock and a great loss.

أكتب طلبي هذا قصد اعلامكم بما حصل لي في رحلتي مع عائلتي علی متن الطيران العماني WY811 لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
لقد سافرت الی تايلند يوم الخميس 25 يناير 2018 علی الساعة 03:10 للمشاركة في مؤتمر دولي بشانغ ماي تايلند انطلاقا من يوم الجمعة 26 يناير. كانت الرحلة عادية الی حد الوصول الی مطار بانكوك علی الساعة 11.55 من يوم الخميس 25 يناير لاكتشف أنه لا يمكننا مواصلة الرحلة وعلينا العودة لعمان لأنه لا يمكن منحنا التأشيرة عند الوصول on arrival. كان وقع الصدمة علينا كبير خاصة ابني ذو 8 سنوات. لقد سألت قبل سفري و أخرهم موظفكم في check in و اكد لي ان التأشيرة آخذها عند الوصول الی تايلند و لكم ان تتثبتوا. فمن المفروض تنبيهي للأمر قبل السفر لاتحمل مسؤوليتي و لكن بسبب هذا السهو من قبل شركتكم و هذه الثغرة في اجراءات التثبت قبل السفر حصلت العديد من المشاكل و أهمها:
1. خسارة مادية: 3 تذاكر طيران من مسقط الی بنكوك ثم شانغ ماي ذهابا وايابا اضافة الی رسوم التسجيل في المؤتمر و انا مجبر الان قانونا علی ارجاع كل ما رصد الي من كليتي للمشاركة في المؤتمر.
2. خسارة مهنية كبيرة لأهمية المؤتمر و تأثيره علی مسيرتي في العمل والتدريس.
3. خسارة معنوية لوقع صدمة الرجوع الی عمان وعدم حضور المؤتمر وكذلك ابني الصغير.
اخواني الكرام ارفق لكم صورة من جواز السفر و كذلك التذاكر و أملي كبير و ثقتي عالية في الطيران العماني للتفاعل ايجابيا مع هذه الثغرة و اتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات.
اخيرا و في انتظار ردكم انا علی ذمتكم في امدادكم بكل الوثائق والمعلومات المطلوبة.
لكم مني اسمی عبارات الاحترام.

Oman Air booking of a wrong ticket

Mohammed Rahim a passenger of oman air travelling hyderabad to muscat oman has been waiting in airport for about 3-4 hours because his ticket was booked wrong by the oman airlines his return ticket was on 30 march but the airport authority has been told the passenger that his return ticket is on 10 january in abu dhabi so the passenger has been left out and his journey has been cancelled and the oman air officers doesnt gave him exit airport authority has been calling officers of oman to give the passenger exit but they are not giving any response and the passeneger came out of the airport after approximately 4 hours. I want the airport authority to take action against oman airline.

Oman Air missing gold chain with locket

Hi, I was traveled through Oman air on last 13th of December from Saudi Arabia (DMM) to kozhikode (CCJ)via Oman along with my family and we notice after arriving at Oman airport that the gold chain of my child is missing during transit either it's been stolen by someone while he was playing the surrounding areas in airport eventhough I have checked with airport security inspection team but the result was negative and also they did not make any attempt to check the cctv it could be bcz of the rush or other so looking for your support to find out the missing chain.

Oman Air lost of one bag

I was traveling from muscat to Lucknow on 1st dec by Oman Air WY 263 after reaching Lucknow I didn't receive my one bag blanket with cloths immediately I filed complain at the Lko airport. As informed by them that I can get my luggage within two days but still I am struggling. Oman Air Staff at Lko are keep on telling lie and playing with my emotions. One day they are telling that u come and collect and next day they are telling that still my luggage not come. Finally I compelled to contact you directly to know the fact behind this. Again how long it will take to deliver to my place since your staff at Lko are irresponsible and playing with peoples emotions and not telling the truth. I am the permanent traveler with my family by Oman Air last from ten years but the way your Lucknow staff is treating me I have to think for other options. Also I believe that definitely you will do favor and solve my issue. My bag tag no. WY 619430

Oman Air missing items from handbag

Dear Oman Air staff,

Greetings of the day!

This is regarding a missing item from our handbag, handed over to the flight attendant while boarding the Muscat-Mumbai flight.

Baggage details:

WY 76-12-74E

Our Jewellery box wrapped in a Duty Free bag, kept on top in the handbag has been missing. The total value of the valuables is amounting to INR 17850/-. Since we had already passed the immigration and were just boarding the flight, we couldn't put the seal or lock. Also, please note, we had to handover the bag when we were just boarding it. Had we not known that Oman air can be carefree with the customer's baggage contents or it can go missing if not locked, we would have been careful with it. But trust on oman air has lead us to a huge loss!

With deep regret and sadness, I am requesting you to find my missing jewelley box(off white exterior color, huge box, in a duty free bag) and hand it over to us as soon as possible.

This is coming from a customer who is a frequent oman air flyer. I request you to look up our history to be sure about it. We have been traveling in oman air from past 30years. Please donot make us think our decision twice while booking the Oman Air tickets next time.

لقد سافرت صباح الجمعه الماضى تاريخ 3/11/2017الساعه واحده ونصف صباحاوللاسف الشديد
تاخرت الرحله سته عشر ساعه جلسنا منهم فى فندق سته ساعات فقط وباقى الوقت فى الانتظار وحمل الحقائب وقد كنا نعانى من رجوع و حمل الحقائب ووزنها مره اخرى وقد كنا اسره ومعنا طفله صغيره عمرها سنتين ونصف ولم يصرف لنا اى تعويض ونحن نثق فى تعويضكم وامانتكم الشديده
