Broadband fixing
Dear omantel,
I have raised a compliant for not fixing my omantel broadband connection.
I have moved to darsit from wadikabir and raised a complaint after 15days
Compliant no :[protected].
Today i got message that the complaint is resolved. Which actually not happened. No omantel personnel have came for installation.
I request omantel to look into the issue and clear it asap.

100 omr unauthorized charges related to line ([protected])
Dear sir/madam at omantel,
I was awarded a scholarship by my company in 2015. I had opened sahal (I'm not sure about the exact name of the service!) in my house with the number [protected] and was clarely told by customer service that this line will be charged on use only. After I returned from my awarded scholarship, I was surprised to see 100 omr charged to my line.
May I request omantel to remove the 100 omr charges from my old account please as this is something I believe is not related to my mistake/useage as I was abroad. I now opened a new account ([protected]) and i'm clear about the terms and conditions of this account. I keep paying my bill regularly without issues. I'm a loyal customer with omantel and I hope my request is fulfilled to keep my long relationship.

Broadband connection problem
hi i am akhil. my dad uses omantel broadband. now i am also using it. since 3 days i have been experiencing very low broadband speeds. My data plan is 25ro unlimited/6mbps. my account number is [protected]. service number is [protected].there are no dues for the broadband internet connection yet i am having this issue. please rectify and resolve the problem as fast as possible.
For quite some time I have been having issues with low internet connectivity. I have complained at the Omantel office and the customer care many times. Sometimes they will send a technician who comes with certain gadgets, hook them up to the line, and give the verdict "everything is fine at our end”
Since there was no headway, they advised me to replace the wires. I changed the wires: nothing happened.
Then they told me that my modem was old. I changed the modem also. Nothing positive came out of it.
Then they told me to go for an upgrade. I subscribed for the highest possible bandwidth available here. No use.
Every time I complain over the phone, they will religiously ask me to switch off my modem for 15 minutes and to restart it later. (The assumption is that they are going to reboot something at their end). Nothing happens by doing that. Even if this my complaint doesn't do any good, could someone please tell the technicians at the call center to please stop asking customers to go through that routine: that magic panacea doesn't do any good.
My major complaints are these:
1. The bandwidth keeps fluctuating all the time.
2. Very often the line goes completely dead. It happens very often. At this very moment for example, it has gone dead. (I will attach the screen shot, if possible).
3. My children are missing their classes.
4. Both my wife and I are lecturers at Ibra College of Technology. We are allowed to go to college only for 50% of the working days. The rest of the classes we are supposed to take online from home. Till today, we haven’t been able to complete a class without the line getting dropped. In fact, it happens many times during a one-hour session.
Just to give you some idea, I shall also attach the screenshot of the internet bandwidth speed test result I got at the very moment I started typing this complaint. Between these two pictures you should get a pretty fair idea of what is happening here every day.

I had omantel home wifi in my old property in msq, on completion of that tenancy I decided to move to shatti al qurm, so on the 25 october I asked for a new connection into my new apartment, bldg no 2665 flat no 27 way no 3033 db no [protected], opp grand hyatt, and was given a request no, 118483, subsequent meetings with the office at sarooj, saying I was getting, broadband fibre cabling, 3 weeks of waiting / visiting and then in early december to be told that it was not possible to install that in my house, so I had to resubmit for a normal internet at home on the 03-05 december, only to be told on the 06 december that due to a technical fault this was not possible, now after anothe 2 weeks of waiting still no internet, no telephone calls / no word from mohammed at sarooj, or khalid,
What do I do now, I wish to remain an omantel customer but even in the diplomatic area of muscat that seems not possible regards william edward welsh
Fibre optic
I order Internet and a phone line when I arrived in Oman on the 28 Aug 16. After months of nothing I finally have a Fibre Optic cable in my house. However, I am still waiting for a Fibre Optic Modem and engineer to come and connect me. Can someone please call me today and tell me when this will happen. My request number is 105930.

League of legends
Hi, Many of us in the League Of legends here in Oman were shocked last week and as heard that Omantel has blocked our favorite game with no reason behind it and I think I can speak on behalf of te whole community in saying that we want our game back. If it is only Omantel blocking this game then I'm sure many of us will switch to another service provider to be able to play this game.
No idea at all why it was blocked. Nothing I could think of as to why it may have been blocked. Horrible decision considering the huge community which plays league in Oman. Should be unblocked ASAP!
Caller tune
Hi,
After having complained through email and two complaints on customer care no action has been taken since a month for my below problem.
Issue :
My mobile number had normal caller tune which was changed by Omantel without my knowledge a month back.
Despite of requesting through email and customer care service - who promised me it will be changed, my caller tune has not been reverted back to normal ring.
1.It is legally wrong to change the caller tune of any subscriber without their consent.
2.Repeated request for changing back to normal has been ignored.
Now I think a better option will be switch to other service provider like Oreedo who hopefully will be more professional.

Office landline connection
I am writing this out of frustration because of the lack of care and service from Omantel. Our landline phone Number [protected] at our office has been out of order for 10 days and ever since we have been raising complaints with the Omantel customer care. We are not getting a definitive reply from them and our problem still exists after 10 days. We are running a business where it is very important that our phone works. Unfortunately the service people at Omantel are not understanding the criticality of our situation.
Broadband internet
Inspite of several follow-up with the customer support service still they are at large to resolve the problem of internet services .Every time when we call We have to hold the line for more than 30 minutes when being transferred to the technical support but in vain as after that being disconneted Yesterday I have asked for the compalint numberf being said that you will get the same by message in your GSm but yet not got. It's very disgusting that we face problem within every two days.Kindly sort out the problem at your earliest

40 omr / $104 debited
I used Omantel website to recharge my phone with credit worth 40 OMR in the month of April. My bank, Bank Muscat immideately debited 40 OMR from my account but OmanTel never sent me the equivalent recharge.
I have complained five times to each of these organisation, yet I have received no reply. I am appalled at this level of incompetence and unprofessional attitude that after almost 5 months, I have not been provided with my money or the recharge. So much for claiming to be customer friendly and propmt.

Disturbance in landline
My landline no : [protected] has been giving me constant problem. I moved to Al Mawaleh last year Oct 2008. Since then i have had problems with this phone. There is a constant staic sound so much so that it becomes impossible to speak or hear. I have complained before and the company has responded but there has been no resolution of my problem. The sound decreases a little after the th lineman does what ever he does and within a few days it is back to the same . At present i am paying the bill and not being able to use th phone at all, for making calls or receiving.
Plase address this problem soon as i am having a tough time.

Hope all is well in your end, regarding the mention subject; we have four fixed lines for visa in our outlets (SAFEER ARABIAN INTERNATIONAL LLC –AL FALAJ) and last month Omantel fixed that connection, but now suddenly they disconnect the three lines without given any indication or notice and therefore I call to customer care to write the complaint for disconnected lines . The customer care representative told me that three connections we will transfer to other company, name is (KAMAL OSMAN JAMJOOM & PARTNER) I shock to listing this answer to representative, How Omantel transfer these connection to other company while we are using these connection. Now our three visa machine is not work and we are losing the business, please clarify who will responsible this loss. And why Omantel do this type of mistake..

Card number is invalid!
I purchased an oman tel jibreen card, since 15 days i am complaining by telecom by telephone, the card PIN number says repeatedly invalid number, where as i never used the new card after scratch. Beware!
It is one of the worst companies of connection all over the world. It’s A failure company they don’t know how to do anything they are the worst they are stupid
three complete days already without Omantel net. i already called 1300 several times for assistance but still no technician came. i even called the technician directly but he is just ignoring me. i am paying my net but no benefits still out of service.

I have ADSL and I wanted to shift my house to another place where they only have Fiber. I have visited your show room two times and every time I go I got no answer for the team and finally when they completed the registration they the site gut called again and he said you need to go again to the show room because your paper work was done wrongly.
