You know the company is garbage if they dont allow honest reviews thru google. I rent in Nanaimo, our building has changed hands to 3 different managers in my time here. First one I met admitted she runs a crypto group but knows nothibg about it lol. Lyed her way into both jobs i guess. Management sends out generalized emails almost weekly to call tenants out publically in a group email. They have picked on the native family in our building constantly. We have 1 set of laundry machines which are old and barely work when we were told new ones were coming over a year ago. Also weve had renos goin on and they literally hired a bunch of illegals without one word of english spoken.
Recommendation: Literally anyone but them
This company manages our condo unit
This company manages our condo unit. We have serious hot water problems, causing scalding. Trying to reach out to the company has been a struggle. For some unknown reason, they've blocked our emails, making it impossible to contact them outside of regular hours. They rarely address our issues.
I have lived in my building peacefully and problem-free for years, and Pacific Quorum Property Management took over management of my building about 6 months ago. In the past 6 months, I have received two notices of non-payment of rent, even after they have cashed my checks. I have never been late with rent, not once in my life. I also received a 10-day eviction notice for non-payment of rent that was signed seven days after they cashed my check for rent. I hand-deliver my rent checks to their office every month, always a few days before it is due. Fortunately, I keep records so I can prove all of this.
The first time this happened, I asked them to call and/or email me if there is a problem with my rent because sometimes I am out of town for a few days to a week at a time and would not see any notices on my door in a timely manner. They ignored my request. Had I not been at home when they posted the 10-day eviction notice, which required a response within five days, I could have lost my housing for no reason! I have made several attempts to communicate with Pacific Quorum Property Management about their poor record-keeping regarding rent, and all I ever get is an 'oops.' My housing is precariously dependent on their mistakes.
I believe the repeated nature of these events and the unwillingness to communicate and collaborate amounts to a form of targeting. The complaints I would like to make are for wrongful eviction, failure to keep accurate records, engaging in targeting behavior, repeated false accusations, emotional distress, pain and suffering, employing coercive and intimidation tactics, operating in bad faith, an unwillingness to communicate or collaborate to resolve issues, and misusing BC RTB rules and regulations, which causes emotional distress due to their poor or non-existent response.
Do not respond to emails, do not use up to date disclosure statements to run the strata corporations, *** do not maintain properties. Bias towards residential owners needs and do not problem solve or mediate on the strata corporation so that there are benefits to all owners, commercial and residential. Do not foster community between all owners. Conduct themselves in conflict of interest. We have had four property managers from this company. Do not recommend
Their Kelowna property manager, Michelle R***, is a nightmare to deal with
Their Kelowna property manager, Michelle R, is a nightmare to deal with. She never returns emails or calls and refuses to provide invoices for maintenance work that she expects owners or their insurance to pay for. She is unprofessional and lacks common sense. Complaints to her supervisor have fallen on deaf ears. It's frustrating and disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and accountability.

I've lived in condos for years - in the US and Canada - and have never experienced a worse company. Totally incompetent, own their own maintenance company (conflict of interest), horrible customer relations, have no regard for OWNERS ***. DO NOT choose this company as your management company. Absolute ***. ***, and the list goes on and on. I give them one star because there is no zero.
I've been living in condos for years, both in the US and Canada, and I must say that Pacific Quorum Properties Inc. is by far the worst company I've ever encountered. They are completely incompetent, and to make matters worse, they have their own maintenance company, which creates a conflict of interest. Their customer relations are absolutely terrible, and they show no regard for the owners' concerns. I strongly advise against choosing this company as your management company. They are an absolute disaster. Their service is ***, and the problems seem to never end. I can only give them one star because there is no option for zero.
PQ is super disorganized, with lots of people coming and going all the time
PQ is super disorganized, with lots of people coming and going all the time. Some of the new folks they bring in seem pretty inexperienced and not very professional or good at navigating office politics. We had to deal with three different Managers in a really short time, and it was a total mess. Eventually, our strata decided to cut ties with them in late 2021. It was a total nightmare trying to transfer our files to the new company because they made it so difficult. And to make matters worse, once we gave them notice, they completely ignored our emails and questions. It's really disappointing after being loyal customers for so many years and having so much patience with them.
I don't know how they get A+ on ComplaintsBoard.com when the consumers rate them 1 star
I don't know how they get A+ on ComplaintsBoard.com when the consumers rate them 1 star... Your building will get new property manager every year, and doesn't matter who they are, they will take forever to get back to you, if ever. And if they do get back to you, their action will be so delayed that your issues will drag on for months and months. I have ONE noise complaint, and I have submitted it 6 months ago, and the noisy neighbour still received NO fine, and the noise continues. Feel free to live in any building managed by PQ if you want no bylaws enforcement or any issues addressed.
We've been living in the apartment building at *** in Surrey, BC for a while
We've been living in the apartment building at *** in Surrey, BC for a while. I don't wanna mention its door's telecom absence, low maintenance, lack of insulation in walls, separate suites, fleas, and silver fish invasions. Now we got another wave of Covid 19 called Omicron, which is coming fast. Lots of businesses are closing. People are losing jobs fast too. But the owners of that awful property don't seem to care, 'cause they want to increase the rent in 2022. It's a shame for them.
This property management company, Pacific Quorum Properties Inc
This property management company, Pacific Quorum Properties Inc., is absolutely the worst I've ever dealt with. They never respond to emails or calls, and when they do, they don't follow up as requested. I've tried reaching out to John P, the Director of Pacific Quorom Properties Inc., multiple times, but he never calls back. Leslie B, the property manager, is also unresponsive. They used to be great when I was on the council and we hired them, but their customer service has declined since the previous property manager left. I might have to rejoin the council just to address these communication issues and lack of follow-up.
Absolutely the WORST!
Absolutely the WORST! I give this zero stars rating if there was a choice to do so here. Pacific Quorum is the most hypocritical, lazy, arrogant company and they hire the worst employees to work for them. They never, ever respond to any phone calls nor emails, despite telling everyone to contact them only by email through their website. However, they will reply on the same day or within minutes if it's concerning payments due or anything that involves money. In three years, they had already hired 3 property managers, and every single one of them is basically and truly arrogant and useless, the last one Chris M, being the worst of all. There has also been constant construction work almost non-stop due to poor materials used to build this building, rotten pipelines to crappy balconies. This company should seriously be investigated.

Today is July 16 and I'm celebrating my 10 days since I emailed Ms. Dexter B, a new manager of Pacific Quorum Properties Inc. in Surrey, British Columbia about no electricity in my kitchen, and still no reply. Then I called her and her office twice, left 2 messages there, and still no reply. This is not right treatment of the renters by this management company. There is no treatment at all. Earlier this year, we had some security issues in our apartment building for months because of our main door's broken lock, and nobody in that office cared about us. I saw some strangers who were coming in through the door without using their keys. I did the same for months. In spring 2020, our parking gates at the back were badly damaged, it was open wide for a few months, and the management company kept charging people extra fees for their so-called secure parking lots. This is not right. People who pay their rent on time deserve better respect from Pacific Quorum Properties Inc. Thank you for reading.
I dunno where to start
I dunno where to start. I asked 'em to stop one monthly payment 'cause I was between jobs. Just one, ya know? But those accounting folks messed up and stopped payment for my operating costs for like 6 months. I didn't even notice 'cause I thought I made it clear on the phone and I don't usually check my bill payments 'cause they're always the same. So now I owe PQ thousands 'cause of their mistake. And guess what? They just told me I'm behind again, owing over 2 grand this time. It's all 'cause of their mismanagement, bad communication, and human error, again. I don't get how this can happen when I've owned my place for 15 years. They never sent me a statement of account, not once. I found out about both screw-ups outta nowhere. And get this, my property manager had the nerve to ask if I wanna increase my monthly payments to pay off the arrears. Like, seriously? It's their fault, not mine. Wake up, people! These guys are a mess. If you can, find someone else to deal with.
They managed my rental house ($2k a month)
They managed my rental house ($2k a month). Quick summary of events; Tenant Application approved by D N at Pacific Quorum. Self-employed with only one referenced pay stub. No bank accounts. No driver’s license. No credit cards. No vehicles. Did not collect total of first month’s rent or damage deposit. They were almost homeless ***. Social media site like ***, *** clearly showed their situation. Pacific Quorums attempt to evict. Tenants did not pay any rent for 4 months. Was not proactive in eviction, they had to be told. 1st *** hearing rejected due to Pacific Quorums inability to put the proper address on contract, postponed for over a month. 2nd *** hearing rejected due to Pacific Quorums inability to serve the paperwork to tenants, postponed for another month. I took it on my own to negotiate the eviction and got them out by myself. Property state. 5 adults & 1 to 3 children. No pet policy, 2 large dogs in the house. No smoking policy, smokers. Extensive damage to the house. My opinion of Pacific Quorum as a Company. Zero 0 out of 7 of their core values (my opinion, 10 cent company with a 75 cent web site). Top Choice Award 2019? No apologies. No integrity. No Communication. No trust. Late payments. Does not care about customer service or relations.
I'm giving 1 star because you can't give "0
I'm giving 1 star because you can't give "0". I own a condo in Surrey BC and Pacific Quorum manages it. Firstly, the receptionist, Pardeep, is one of the rudest and most condescending people I've dealt with in a long time. Now let's talk about Jean S. I've had many issues and Jean is very unresponsive. She doesn't return calls and is slow with emails. On June 20, I had water coming from my ceiling in my master bathroom. I called the Pacific Quorum emergency hotline and waited... The next day, I called and wrote an email to Jean S asking what was happening. Her reply was that she contacted the tenant and owner and would get back to me once the source of the leak was found. Well, no one came to see the problem and nothing was ever done about it. Jean's comment was "I guess I dropped the ball". Meanwhile, mold is growing in my ceiling. Then on Aug. 16th, another leak, but in a different area. Water was dripping from the ceiling, water was coming out of my crown molding, and paint was peeling off my wall. Dryers were brought in. Two days later, more water, even worse. More dryers were brought in. Pacific Quorum sent the owner a letter requesting caulking and sealant to be completed and confirmed by Sept 9, 2020. The unit above was told that the overflow valve had to be repaired on Aug. 26th. When I asked Jean if she followed up on the work being done, she said she tried calling and couldn't get through. Great effort, Jean! It's now Sept. 20, 2020, and I still have a hole in my ceiling and more water coming through. Not only did Jean drop the ball on a leak in June, but she also hasn't followed up on 2 other leaks. As of today, the leaks haven't been repaired! Every conversation I've had with Jean, she asks, "What do you want me to do?" Please don't choose Pacific Quorum as your property management company. They don't care!

I have lived in an apartment building in Nanaimo for over 10 years. In early 2022, a deal was made that saw the ownership of the building change hands. In May 2022, I received an email from Randall North property management (A Pacific Quorum company, according to the letterhead) stating that Randall North will be taking over the management of my residence.
In that short period of only 19 months, here are just a few concerns;
* 6 different property managers
* daily cleaning and maintenance stopped
* in ground sprinklers shut off (if its dead, you don't have to mow it!)
* garbage cans at front and back of building removed
* exterior lighting not maintained
* 3 needless unit inspections (just an excuse to see who they can evict)
* I have witnessed 5 pages taped to a neighbors door for eviction (intimidation?!)
These are just some of the many incidences of unprofessionalism and incompetence I have witnessed. Recently, I was late making my rent payment. I had called the current property manager beforehand but got no response. On Oct 5, 2023 an eviction notice was put on my door. The notice was dated Oct. 4, 2023. I called the property manager again and she told me that I would be fine as long as I paid by Oct 13. I said that based on Oct 5, that is correct. Because the notice had been dated Oct 4, I asked if she could text or email me confirmation that paying my rent on Oct 13 would cancel the eviction. SHE SAID SHE WOULD NOT DO THAT. I could now see the game she was playing here - tell me Friday is OK but only verbally. I sent both a text and an email requesting her to confirm what she had said on the phone and got no reply to either. If I had waited until Friday, I would now be homeless. I was able to borrow the money for Thursday and as of right now, I am not evicted and still have my apartment.
The games this company plays are incredible (and probably illegal). Since this incident, I have been looking at reviews of the company and find an overwhelming number of negative reviews that all mention the same types of unprofessional conduct. These are over a span of over 8 years. Why anyone or company would hire these people is beyond me.
If anyone can tell me if legal action is possible to stop thier games, please reply.

They are really slow to respond and if things get complicated, they just stop responding. They said they would call me back, but they never did. They don't even reply to emails. I've been asking them since October to deal with a rodent problem in our townhouse. It's not just in the attic above the master bedroom, but also in the bedroom wall on the second floor. They haven't done anything about it for almost 6 months!

I just switched from post dated checks to direct withdrawal for my condo maintenance fees with Pacific Quorum. They immediately started taking out too much money, and it took them 3 months to fix it. Now, I still haven't received the extra money they took. They say they sent me a check on June 2, but I haven't gotten anything. Can I get my money back, or is this just how things are in the digital age? It's not a lot of money for most people, I guess, but I can't afford to be giving it away.

Pacific Quorum managed my apartment unit at *** until Jan 31, 2021 and I had four monthly pre-authorized payments set up with it starting from Jan 1st to Apr 1st to pay for the special levy set out by the strata. Due to some mix-up during the transfer between Pacific Quorum and the new property management company in February, the Feb 1st and Mar 1st payments ($2,299.06 total) were erroneously sent to Pacific Quorum. I have been trying to contact Pacific Quorum for the refund but to no avail. I have sent multiple emails and voice messages but I have yet to receive any responses.
