cafe order 925823 - didn't get the sandwich
I placed a to-go order today at the panera location in cedar hill, tx. When I got home, I realized that the 1/2 blt roast turkey & avocado wasn't in tbe bag & I couldn't go back & get it.
I love this restaurant & have I have never had any complaints in the past. Just wanted to notify you - I was hungry & looking forward to that sandwich...
This was very unusual.
poor customer service
Good morning,
I am a sales rep that delivers lunches almost daily to veterinarian clinics. 3 out of 5 times, I pick up Panera Bread. I was in Springfield, OH yesterday to pick up a lunch around 11:45 for lunch at a clinic about 2 minutes down the road, which was scheduled to start at noon. Plenty of time. I walked to the side counter, as I usually do, and by-passed the line, as I've been told to do in other Panera locations in the past, and said I have a call in to pick up. The lady kindly took name and looked up the order under the clinic's name, and told the individuals behind the line that the to go was here for pick up. It was just about ready, and was given to me about 3 minutes later. As the lady gave it to me, I assume an assistant manager, she said next time will you please stand at the end of the line to pick up your to go order. I looked at the line, which was to the door, with about 18 people in it, and said absolutely not. I said my clinics call in Panera almost daily, and have always been told to go to the side to pick it up without standing in line. If I have to stand in line for 20 minutes for an order that is already to go every time, I would be late for my lunches, and I will absolutely not do that. The lady said her manager told her to tell me that, so please do so. I again stated that I will not, and if that is expected of me, then I will tell my clinic's that they are not to order from Panera and will go elsewhere. She didn't seem to care. Can you please clarify for me the normal protocol for pick ups when they are called or faxed in. I, under no circumstances, am willing to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to pick up an order that is already ready, and compromise my relationship with my clinics that I have worked with for years. And please do not expect me to get to a Panera 15-20 minutes early to pick up, because I travel extensively and rarely am able to arrive that early to wait in line to pick up my food. I have used Panera for several years multiple times because of the quick and easy access to my order, sometimes serving 20-30 people, if not more. Please let me know what the company policy is, and I will decide if I will continue to do business with your company.
Thank you,
Jenny Ketring
beet, quinoa, citrus salad

I was extremely disappointed with the new salad I had tonight at the St. Joseph, MI store. When the bowl arrived it was less than half full and looked pathetic. I could not find any beets in it, maybe 2 citrus slices and a few broken pieces of pecan. I wish I would have sent it back. My dinner partner ordered a different salad and her bowl was nearly full. I purchased this with a $10 gift card I received for Christmas. I would like to have the card replaced in the hope of having a better experience the next time I visit.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
service
I went today jan9/17 to panera bread cafè 4405 rego park, ny 11374, and had such a bad service from the cashier "justin", and the manager "emilio lanus".
I bought potato soup,
2 sides of chicken, and also paid
For 2 slices of bread (An specific bread I asked the cashier to sell me)...
When I picked up the order they gave me other bread, I told them it was a mistake and the rude guy behind the counter replied that he didnt know which one I wanted, so I told him that if he didn't know he should ask the cashier, the one who did the order, he finally went but the cashier justin didn't approach us neither help, the packing guy went back and gave me any other bread with rudeness, the manager was looking all what was happening but he only responded when I asked for the manager.
I showed him the bread I wanted and for what I have paid for, but he said that he can not cut that bread and if he cut it he had to charge me for the whole bread!
I told him that his cashier was selling something that panera can't sell then, so I asked him to return the money to me.
Immidiatelly, a different guy behind the counter asked me which bread I paid for, I showed him and he told me that they can cut that bread (Like the other breads on the store) without any problem, so when the "called manager" emilio lanus heard him, he said then that he can cut it for me !.
I asked him why he denied that before, at this point he didn't have a face to respond !
I had such a bad experience today, I did pay for the products (Even the bread) , and I got such a bad service and treatment from the manager emilio lanus and cashier justin.
They showed the lack of respect and interest in their jobs.
I am not going to buy here again, very lazy people who doesn't even want to cut a bread, very dishonest because they wanted to charge me for items I didn't ask.
Beatrice.

terrible customer service!
I go to Panera this afternoon wanting a smoothie because I wasn't hungry - thank goodness. I arrive at the intercom and automatically the woman gave me an attitude for no reason. I haven't even spoken a word. Proceeding, I asked if the superfruit smoothie was good because I missed the old berry smoothie... she was silent for 10 seconds and then said "WE HAVE strawberry banana.. strawberry, superfruit etc."... I was like "okay, I'll take the superfruit." I pulled to window where I handed a guy $5 and he gave me my receipt all wadded up with change somehow in there. I pull off amazed with such poor service over a SMOOTHIE. Concluding, my smoothie tastes horrible and I should have went to Starbucks. Crappy service and if you don't like your job... there's plenty of jobs where you don't have to deal with the public... SO GET A NEW ONE! Never returning.
bagel pack
I ordered on line the Bagel Pack, this was for a grieving family who had lost a family member.
Went to pick it up, it wasn't ready or even started. When it finally was ready, 13 bagels just thrown loosely into a shopping bag, 2 cartons of cream cheese, and thats it. I was not about to take this to someone's home.
I went back in and got boxes, boxed my bagels, tried to make it look at least somewhat presentable.
This is not the first time this has happened at this location. Rude customer service. Very disappointed. Never again.
staff
Workers rude and annoyed when my daughter came in a few minutes before store closing early for new year holiday. She didn't know. Workers voicing how disgusted they were being there and when she asked for a particular item they were rude about it. My older two children work retail/fast food for their part time jobs, so we understand customer service. We spend a lot of money at panera and expect a little courtesy. Store number 202342 bridgeville pa.
the food presentation
Today I ordered a you pick two from the local Penara Bread in Sandusky Ohio. The Customer service was fine the drive through worker was very pleasant and accommodating. However when I got home and began to eat my Fuji apple salad first I noticed how unappetizing and poorly prepared the dish appeared. Then after a few bites I noticed a piece of hair in the salad. I know for sure that it was not my own hair because I am an African American woman with natural hair and this hair was thin and straight nothing like my own. I did not return the dish because I live more than a half an hour from town and it wouldn't have been practical.
tomato basil bread reduced to half its size???
I was so upset when I ordered my napa valley chicken salad on tomato basil bread and got a tiny little sandwich. they cut the bread size in half? why so you can make more money than you already do?I decided to order it with only tomato and th girl put 3 slices of tomato o each hale of sandwich so I got a teaspoon of chicken salad. you can make 2 sandwiches out of this tiny bread now.
not getting it on time on rapid pickup, not having a sandwich put in, and no croutons for french onion soup
Yesterday, December 29th, I submitted on line a rapid pick up at the Panera Bread on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314.
I ordered a bunch of things. I had two pick twos, a pastry and a bagel.
When I arrived at the store, my order was still being processed, so I waited. It should have been on the shelf to go, since I was on time. Patiently I gave my name and waited. When I received my bag, I went over to the counter to check if everything was in there. One of the sandwiches was missing. I glanced quickly through the bag, saw two soups, bagel and pastry and went back to the server. He searched through my bag and apologized. I waited for him to make the next sandwich. (Could have offered a free pastry or something, but did not.) I did not ask. What upset me the most is that being my sandwich was missing, I did not realize that the two bags of croutons for my two french onion soups were not in the bag. Those soups are $4.00 each, and I really wanted to enjoy them. So there was no bread to be put in my soup at all...and that's the best part. I was pretty unhappy.
italian
I went to the Panera bread in Canton, MI and ordered the Italian combo. I got home and it was completely different they didn't even bother telling us it changed. It was not a good snadwhich whatever relish or whatever that is was disgusting. I threw it out and the only reason we come there is for the Italian combo. It was a smaller sand which and cost more too. You have lost our family as customers, hopefully it comes back and so will we..from what I hear a lot of customers are complaining about the new sand which!
green goddess cobb salads almost inedible
Today at 2:35:58PM at Cafe 1651 in Durham NC. the order number was 120 and the customer name was misspelled Claire, when my last name is Clare. As part of a normal ritual leaving our mountain place in Banner Elk and driving to our home in Chapel Hill, we stopped and ordered two Green Goddess Cobb salads to go. We had left the mountains late and were hungry enough to eat almost anything. That turned out not to be the case when we got home. Instead of the quality salads we normally enjoy, the chicken was scanty but the real problem was the rest of it. The greens in both salads had a lot that had already turned yellow and some were even slippery! The tomatoes, always a challenge in the winter here, appeared to have been frozen. They were ice cold and looked like they had just been defrosted. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the salad. I was so appalled that I threw both in the garbage disposal after we ate the protein before deciding to complain the more I thought about it.
When summoned to pick up the order, the nice woman at the counter explained that they had run out of avocado so only one salad had it. When I said they should not have sold the second one knowing this, she offered additional chicken, which she provided in a cup. The salad with the avocado was the sorriest piece I've ever seen.
My complaint is not with the person at the counter, who gets high points, but management's quality control system that allowed old greens and terrible tomatoes to go on salads. If this were not the exception and had it been the first time, I would never have darkened the door of another Panera.
We do have a Panera card under Gwen C. Clare, and I have no idea where it went after the first uses. We don't bother with it.
my order
An order was placed for a half sandwich, on a hoagie, to include: spicy mustard, asiago cheese, white cheddar cheese, and bacon. I received a sandwich with one piece of white cheese and one strip of bacon. The receipt which came with this order includes all items I requested, however, the actual sandwich does not contain those contents. I am now back at work which is too for for me to travel back to this store and get my money back; Panera bread has my $7 and I don't have what I paid for. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
Also, I called the store and spoke with a manager who was extremely rude and unhelpful.
the manger
The manager located at the saginaw store. Is very rude to the employees. As a everyday customer. The manager (Alissa) shows favortism in the workers. Some employees get written up for being late an some get a pass for being late. Sitting in the dining area I can here the employees talk about that paticular manager. She needs to be investigated because the employees are feeling discrimnated against an won't call coporate because there colege kids an dont wanna be fired. She is holding the workers against there scheduled time out so for example if they leave at 3:00 they won't leave until 3:30 not being asked to stayover. Panera could be a great place towork until you hire bad managers.
illness
I visited your store located at City Place in West Palm Beach Florida yesterday and had the Avacado Turkey BLT, and Chicken Soup, It was the only thing I had eaten all day, At 2 am this morning I was awakened with vomiting and diarrhea, I had to have eaten something bad there, and I am still really sick on Christmas Day, I am so upset, I really like your establishment, but am afraid that proper care is not being taken at this particular restaurant and the people there were really unfriendly also .Sorry to have to complain, but my Christmas is ruined because of this incident. Date of incident 12/24/16
customer service from general manager
The general manager at the Panera Bread was very disrespectful to his employees and called a customer a fats person he every seen. How can your
Company hire a person like that. I go out my way to go to Panera Bread. Never again. Plus my food was cold and wait I seen I just left. I know many customer and friends up thier and believe me they will hear about this. Shame on Panera Bread
broth bowl
Customer Service: C. The person who took my order, Mark, was really rough around the edges for customer service. I have worked in the customer service industry, and normally it is important to greet the customer and ask for their order. It does not matter how big the order is, or how difficult, or what kind of day you've had. This is about the customer and making their experience memorable enough to want to return. You do not huff about how the person has a larger order. And smile. Please. I do not need to see your grouchy face when I am nice enough to ask about your day. Also, if I am speaking too fast, don't interrupt me in the middle of my sentence to tell me to slow down. Wait for a stopping point and ask me to please repeat myself slower. Not everyone is a native born English speaker. Also, everyone had such unprofessional grouch. No smiles on a single person. It made me feel like it was a bother for me to come in to order dinner.
Food: D-. Edible mush I believe is the best words for this... bowl of yuck. The chicken wonton is ginger flavored mush. The vegetables are questionable, did you cook this yesterday? Because the coloring looks like you did. And the only flavor in this broth is ginger. If I wanted to taste ginger I would order a ginger ale and sip on that. It is disgusting. Even the hospital has better food than this. Also, the french baguette is still icy cold in the middle, so it obviously was not cooked fully seeing as you get these delivered to you frozen every day.
Overall experience: F. Will not be coming back. This is my third time attempting Panera Bread and I dislike it more and more.
hot chocolate
I went into the Panera on Tyler in Riverside California. I ordered a hot chocolate and a chocolate chip bagel. I got to work and toasted my bagel. I went to take a sip of my hot chocolate and it is just warm milk. There is a little bit of chocolate, but not at all like what I've had before.
The Panera on Day Street in Moreno Valley, California makes it very chocolaty and then puts chocolate chips on the whipped cream.
Thanks
manager's harassment of 85 yr old mother in law
My wife and mother in law were at the Panera bread at ball blvd Sanford Florida at 6:30pm. I ordered two coffees and a cheese pastry and went to a booth to sit down. When one consecutive manager after another came and did a stare down on our party. First a female manager wearing all brown trousers and shirt stood and stared at our party for about 3 mins then a male manager wearing same outfit did the same thing. We all felt very uncomfortable 😣 and was not sure what is about. I go to this Panera in the morning with no problems. I am 53 yrs old same as my wife. I am American and my wife and her mother are both from chile. Not sure if this had something to do with it.
poor customer service
I picked-up an order via the kiosk. At home I noticed that there was no french baguette included. The slip attached to the bag had a circle around "1 French Baquette". I called the New Port Richey store on Little Road. The person I spoke to was curt and rude. I told her I was hanging up because I was throughly disgusted with the phone call. Since when is it okay to be discourteous to customers. I would not be able to hold my job if I treated customers in this manner. Shame on Panera in not training their employees properly. Won't be going back!
