scam
I was a victim of a scam when using PayPal. Never trust sending anything to Lagos, Nigeria under any circumstance if the money has not been deposited into your account. To be extra safe, transfer that money to your bank account. NEVER do money transfers via Western Union, Money Gram, etc. YOU should not be putting out any kind of money. I was a first time international seller, so I fell victim not knowing the real procedures. I thought I was talking to a PayPal representative the whole time. PayPal doesn't e-mail you, there is no e-mail representative!
Please be careful, call and do your research before you put anything out!
I lost my product and over $800 in cash. I could have lost more but I stopped when it became really unprofessional and unreasonable!
Also, they will fake as the FBI to help you investigate the scam, asking you to send the money so they could track it. (Stupid and ridiculous as it sounds? YES! Trust your instincts and check the e-mail address).
This was my first time and I thought I was being careful and smart, trusting PayPal as the middle person for my transactions.
Anyone can fall victim, stop it as soon as you can.
deceptive collection practices
I sold some items on eBay, but wasn't paid. But, they still charged me fees for them. I contacted them to dispute the amount they claimed I owed, but they just ignored my emails or sent me 'canned' responses. They then managed to debit my checking account without my permission, even though I'd told them there was not enough funds in that account, I was disputing the amount owed and DID NOT give them permission to withdraw the funds. It clearly states on my ebay account there is NO automatic payment nor backup payments. (States that in TWO places...) In addition, they only had a CC on file. Inquiries as to how they even got my checking account information went unanswered. Until a 'chat' session a few days ago, where the guy admitted they got the information from PAYPAL. I asked him a few questions directly and he would not answer, then closed the chat session before I could save the conversation. Fortunately for me, I had written down the number and was able to talk another ebay chat rep into emailing me the session. (Of course, she first told me that once it was closed, it was only available for THEM to view, that I had no access.)
So far, not only have they attempted to debit my account 3 times, costing me $29. each time in NSF fees from my bank, but they've also been adding their own fees to the tune of $15 each time! (Not to mention the checks I had out that were returned, costing me $29.00 each...) Attempts to close my PAYPAL account have failed. It states, "Your account has limited access and you are unable to close the account." !
I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and got a notice they contacted eBay on July 9, 2010. But as of July 30, I've not heard from either.
They debited my checking account for over $215 last week (despite my complaints to the bank, the bank actually paid them!). But, get this, they state they haven't received the payment and added another $15.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE THIS? This has been a horrible nightmare! I can't even close my checking account, because it is in the negative now because of them (but, wait, they say they didn't get paid...).
HELP!
This just gets better and better. I just got off the phone with eBay. I called to see why they keep stating they weren't paid the $215.55, when my bank states they were. I was told I've now been turned over to a collection agency! Unbelievable.
Can someone PLEASE help me?
To clarify, my bank did pay them over $215 last week (I filed a dispute with them, but they told me eBay was already paid.) EBay, however, continues to say they were not paid. So who the heck has my money?!?!? (And, yes, it overdrew my account, resulting in one of my outstanding checks being returned and my being assessed another $29.00 (probably two, if they run it again), on top of whatever the party the check was written to will charge me...)
Thanks for any help you can provide!
hold balance for 180 days
Below is a message from PayPal:
"Since your PayPal account has a positive balance, all funds will be held
for a period of 180 days. PayPal will restrict the use of the funds in
your PayPal account to minimize the loss on any unresolved buyer
complaints, chargebacks, or bank returns."
"PayPal reserves the right to close any account reported to be involved
in possible high-risk behavior. Therefore, you will not be permitted to
utilize the PayPal service for your online payment needs in the future,
and this decision may not be appealed."
Although the above decision is unacceptable, PayPal has power to do whatever they want to do.
fraud
My item was cancelled because ebay said it was a counterfit, Ebay encouraged me to contact the company directly by emailing them. I feel an obligation to share with you what else ebay has encouraged myself and so many others to do. If you think Ebay is taking action per your request to stop items listed violating your intellectual property rights, you...

I just attempted once again to make an online PayPal Plus Credit Card payment and I got the same error message after waiting 1 hour like Customer Service said to do. Seems to me that PayPal Plus/ GE Money Bank has SCAM going by blocking an online payment forcing you to mail in a late payment so they can charge an outrageous late fee or persuade an automated phone payment thus again charging a fee for the payment. The past year I have recieved my statement 7 days before the due date. Hasn't the laws changed now making it that Creditors send out your statements early enough so you have time to remmit a payment. PayPal Plus is the only creditor I have that sends my statement so late that I have to get in the mail the same day as recieved. Now they play games with their web site blocking access to the account so that a payment can't be made. They ought to have one Hell of a Class Action Lawsuit brought against them.
Been making online payments on my PayPal Plus Credit card for the past 3 months. When I try to log in 3-4 days before the due date to pay online it's a coincidence that a error page comes up saying that my account can not be accessed online. No problem when you make a payment 2 weeks before it's due. Another SCAM to charge you a late fee!

I am having the same issues. I had my credit card number stolen and they charged several items to my account. I called paypal and the told me the fraud department would look into it and I would get a blue envelope in the mail to complete. I have not seen the envelope but i got a letter the other day stating the fraud dept. did not find any fradulent charges on my card. How can that be when I did not charge the items. I am requesting the signature and/or address where items purchased were sent. I never purchased anything from Itunes and do not lnow what Comwave-Toronto, ON is but the numbers are the reference numbers are the same for two of the sales and another number for two additional sales. Does anyone has any suggestion?
I agree about pay pal, I am never able to find out how to log on pay pal (GE Money). to pay on my amount I owe, I try and try and do all they sugest,
they will not evon send a bill to me, Than because of that, I am late, so than they hang on a late chaege on the account, and to pay on the phone it is fithteen dollar chaege to pay them by check. I can never get my amount I owe to pay pal down it just goes around and around and I am the one who is punished. Than GE money over and over all day

I have had the same problem repeatedly, I thought I was the only one. I have also had it happen where you cannot enter online payments, and then phone payments are also not available. It makes me furious.

Just spent $15 through PayPal. Did not offer the same PayPal method of payment to conclude the entire transaction. I refused to add my credit card info because I could see what would follow. Such a shame to have this type of service. I'll just chalk this up to a $15 loss. They had such a great idea but c'est la vie! The will get what's coming to them -- this is not my fight. I'll leave this to God to fight this battle.
scammers
PayPal Inc., a subsidiary of eBay, has restricted my account and withheld funds sent to me from a buyer since October 26, 2008. They claimed that my account had "high risks" activities. I still have no idea what is high risk about selling an item I no longer need at a lower price. I already spent an entire week consistently contacting PayPal representatives, responding to their many email requests for seemingly a non stop amount of confirmations and requirements for even more documentations. I agree with the fact that they attempt to protect the interest of buyers from frauds and scams. I totally agree with that. But in my case, it's absolutely outrageous. After spending money making out-of-state fax trying to fulfill their requirements of multiple documentations (most of them being very personal), nothing good has happened.
Actually, they manage to lose my fax after all that(I have a transmission log from Staples to prove that I've sent it to them). I then had to upload my files again to them with great difficulties. I constantly called in over the past week to find out what's happening, what do they need, and how I can be a active member in solving this problem as painlessly as possible. Yet, I felt like I was kicked around and played by them. They still refuse to un-restrict my account and release the fund as of today. I've spent money on things that even my buyer did not request such as mail delivery confirmation just so that I can provide one to PayPal as they requested.
What insanity? Making things worse, after they received confirmation that the buyer already received his item, they still would not let go off my account and release the funds that I deserve. I've been waiting patiently, responding to every one of their requests promptly, and working with them closely. I even went as far as putting out funds from my own pocket in order to solve the issue. Yet here I am, sitting in front of my computer once again being asked by them to prove my address once more.
I honestly sent in all the proof that I possibly could. I've tried my best to be proactive in this situation. And I've taken steps that cost me which I'm definitely not going to be reimbursed for in order to help. PayPal already charged me service fee for using them to accept the payment from my buyer. How dare they held my fund, and restrict my account after they've gotten their fees? If there are "high risks" activities as they claimed on my account, they shouldn't have touched any of the money at all to begin with no? How can they simply take my money first, then tell me that my account is a possible danger to others? Their actions in taking care of this issue is obscene, and extremely irresponsible. I feel like I'm in a maze hearing voices that misguide me time and time again, asking for more and more, and I'm unable to get out.
I've lost money in order to prove my innocent to them while I consistently get brushed off by their staff with their different requests and little actions. More information is requested, more stress on my part trying to tailor to their every need, and funds are still held. I don't know what else can be done. It's sad that I look as if I'm begging them for help. It makes it worse that they simply sit there and push me around. I'm not even sure about getting the funds back anymore, because PayPal has let me down time and time again. But at least I want the justice. I've lost more than I've gained in this situation, and I just want a fair response. I've already filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, as well as several other public consumer protection sources. I'm young, but at the very least, I can spot injustice when it's right in front of my eyes.
I have an odd feeling that my complaints might fall upon deaf ears when I've filed my complaints with the major agencies. But something has to be done towards the mal treatment and injustice PayPal put forth towards the consumers.

I fully agree with this post as I have personally been scammed out of USD883.60 by PayPal when withdrawing funds from my PayPal to my registered and verified bank account.
The transactions (2 in total - 1 for USD500 in February 2013 and the second for USD383.60 in January 2014) show completed however were never in my bank account.
I contacted PayPal more than 50 times via phone and sent over 100 emails. Their customer service staff does nothing to assist and simply do not care to help their customers trace missing funds.
PayPal advertise itself as trusted and reliable and I have found out the hard way - TWICE - that this is a blatant lie.
chargeback
Be careful of Pay Pal. I was given a second chance opprotunity on Ebay. I e-mailed the seller and he sent me a paypal bill. I paid it including a $50 fee for shipping including insurance. The product came and was very poorly packaged and broken several spots. I contacted USPS and they said that it appears the seller did not take out insurance. I contacted paypal and they said they only protect purchases through e-mial, but mine did not qualify. They said they do not guarantee the quality of the product, shipping method, packaging and the list goes on. So if at all possible I would recommend to always use a credit card rather than paypal. Paypal offers no protection.

charges you extra money by adding late fees to your account when you are not late and in excellent standing with them
I usually pay my bill online and depening on how many days are in the month my payment is due on the 4th or 5th or sooner or later depending... I logged into my account tonight (the 3rd) only to see that it is due tomorrow (the 4th). In any "normal" circumstance this is perfectly fine. I am trying to make my payment before it is even due! However, PayPal Buyer Credit scams people by having a feature online that when you try to pay your bill online you must select a posting date that is at least 2 days from the current day but within 30 days. So in other words, I would have to post my payment date on the 5th instead of the 4th becuase today is the 3rd... If you go 1 day late with them they charge you a $30 late fee. So I called a rep because I did not want that to happen especially when I am trying to pay them BEFORE my account is due. The woman refused to help me and told me I could pay over the phone and have them charge me an additional $15 to post it tomorrow. I told her no I was not going to pay them an extra $15 for me to make a phone payment. She then went into detail on why my due dates fluctuate. I don't seem to have this problem with any of my other credit card companies. I told her that I was only going to make my minimium payment (when I ALWAYS pay more) and then I would be paying it off and would NEVER do business with them again. I also told her I was not going to pay that $30 late fee because I am not late. My account is due on the 4th and today is the 3rd. I asked why they even had that feature on the website that makes you post your payment 2 days out. She couldn't give me an answer. I told her its apparently just a way for your company to scam people out of their money. I also let them know in an email that I would be posting a review on the poor lack of customer service... Thankfully I only owe them $275.

ajfljafja;
I am having a very similar problem with PayPal Buyer Credit. I always pay my bill the first of the month and had not really been paying attention because my statement says bill is due 7th. Noticed $39.99 late fee when my account finally went live online last month.
Called customer service only to learn that if I pay my account before the 7th of the month it does not count on this month's billing cycle. So all my payments (at least 9 months in row) have been considered late instead of early. I have received $39.99 fee every month, my rate has jumped 10 points, and who knows what it's done to my credit score. That's almost $400 in late fees (that I know about) all for paying my bill EARLY EVERY MONTH. Amazing!
Emails to CEO Scott Thompson and CFO Mary Heinjes have gone unanswered. I have a merchant account with PayPal, but am reviewing whether I will continue to do business with them on that side.
Here is one for you I have never been late and allways pay over the the monthly rate.Just got a 6% anual increase on the interest rate.I think we need to contact our Congress and Senate.By the way I just found it out when I went to pay my payement that is not due till the 28 th of this month today is the 8 th payment will be credited the 10 th.
I have been a PayPal member for nearly a decade, and use it regularly to fund my eBay purchases, but have only sporadically used PayPal's "Buyer Credit" feature. Last month, I used it to fund an online payment of $70. Three weeks ago, after receiving the bill, I scheduled payment (in full) to my buyer credit account on the GE Money external website (the "pop-up" window site that you're probably familiar with if you've ever used PayPal buyer credit before). Within the past month (as of October 30, 2009), however, it seems that the entire payment process has been streamlined onto the actual PayPal website itself. As a result, all old payment history and previously scheduled payments are no longer viewable or available (the new "payment history" page on my PayPal account is completely blank; clearly, the information did not transfer over to the new site).
Infuriatingly, the payment to my account, which I had scheduled to post on October the 11th, mysteriously never posted and instead, today, I was hit with a $20 late fee from PayPal/GE Money against my buyer credit account. I should also note that I first attempted to post this payment to my account the day I received the bill, Oct. 5th, but everyday for nearly a week after receiving the bill, the PayPal GE Money site was "experiencing errors, " (how convenient) and I could never access my account to post payment. When I finally was able to access it, I scheduled the payment in full. I called my bank today (on which the buyer credit account is supposed to draw), and they informed me that GE Money never attempted to draw the requested payment. What a clever way for them to shake you down for $20. Thanks PayPal, thanks GE Money. I'll reschedule my payment again, and will probably go through the same exact thing. Let's see how long they can keep it up.
I am having the same issue with paypal. I have been sending in my payments through the mail at the same time since March and " suddenly" I have been charged with two late payments for September and October. I called Customer Service in September about the late fee and they told me that they tried three times to reverse the charge on their computer, but it wasn't allowing them to credit the $29.00 fee back. Is their computer broken? Then I mailed my payment to Paypal extra early for October to be sure to avoid the late fee, and low and behold I got charged with a $29.00 late fee again. I called Customer Service again for the October fee to be reversed, and the lady on the phone said that she couldn't reverse it and I said then can I talk to someone above you, and she said, "Yes, but they aren't going to be able to do anything about it either." What kind of a company is this Paypal Buyer Credit?! TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! The people that I talked to couldn't speak English very well (what a surprise!). They are just trying to soak up peoples hard earned money. So the end result is that "I" closed my account and I will NEVER do business with them again!

added card without permission
pay pal plus added a card to my acct, that i never activated and placed it ahead of my visa card, then it would not pay for items ordered . i canceled the pay pal plus card which i never activated, but it still shows up first on my acct and i can't find any way to get it off. when i call, i get transfered back and fourth to diff places and so far no one has been able to help me. the only way i can use my visa card with pay pal is to call a representative, and they can put it through. i doubt they will ever read this either.

unauthorized withdrawal fro my bank account
PayPal took money out of my Bank account without any authorization.
Paypal told me that they had to verify me, stating that they would have to make 2 small deposits into my Bank account and that I had to give them my Bank account information. As soon as I did instead of making these 2 small deposits, they took money out.
Trying to reach PayPal, forget it, even email doesn't work. It looks like they are a crooked outfit!

The identical scam happened to me in January, 2012, with four separate unauthorized direct transfers from my bank account to four different sellers. I also was coerced to furnish bank information to become "verified, " small deposits were made into my account by Paypal, and then the four direct transfers. This is an outrageous violation of Paypal's fiduciary trust. I have written to:

During January 2010, i sold 150 items for under $20 on ebay... not one single issue and apx 130 of the 150 have left positive feedback. not a single negative feedback, chargebacks, or problem whatsoever. Everyone's happy.
Except me.
I wake up friday morning (january 29, 2010), planning to transfer the funds to my bank account, since all sales for the month had been completed... Low and behold, my Paypal account is frozen.
Paypal is asking for inventory descriptions, vendor invoices, and receipts.
I sent Paypal my vendor invoice (sales agreement), inventory listed of all the details.
Nope... After providing what they wanted, now they want more, and stuff there is no way I can provide, like written rights for being a reseller of the products by the manufacturer and even copies of my vendors contracts and sale agreements with their supplier (illegal as sin).
What? I don't need rights to resell what i purchased wholesale from a distributor and Paypal sure does NOT have the right to require me to get a copy of my vendors contracts with their supplier.
Needless to say, it's now a paypal horror story on the tune of $2, 455.63. It took them 1 whole day to say they will hold my money for 180 days...
Great way to start off 2010... If you are a merchant and use paypal, this WILL be you soon. AVOID. Paypal is a scam, and is operating a criminal organization.

holding funds
I have filed this under Ebay Scams because i believe ebay is behind all this. So i have not used paypal or ebay for over a year. I need some cash so i sell some items and they are bid and paid for my the winners. Then my money if frozen. Paypal says it is because of poor ratings/feedback, however i have %100 positive feedback, never a bad one... ever! Then they say it is a high risk item. Then three more items get on hold. The items have been delivered and still it is on "hold". I believe that due to Ebay and paypals monopoly they are hold my cash and making interest on it at my expense. This is not their money to touch. I have done nothing wrong. When you and ask to speak to a manager they either say no or put you on hold for 45min! then disconnect you. If i ever get my (now over $500) cash back i will never go to that site again. I know others have experienced it and i would sure like to start a law suit. It is the principle that gets me... its not their money to hold for trumped up reasons.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
PayPal has with held my funds even though the Receipiant has told them he has received the purchased item. PayPal never responds to e mails or phone calls,
PayPal has been with-holding my funds even though the USPS tracking # clearly indicates the item has been delivered. The Purchaser even e mailed them and indicated he has received the package. Despite numerous calls and e mails, all I get back from PayPal are form responses. Is there anyway to sue these crooks?

I once sold an item on ebay and used paypal to accept the payment, which happened to be only $30.00. Paypal put the money on hold until I shipped the item, the buyer received it, and the buyer gave me positive feedback. At that time and now, I have 100% positive feedback and have been rated several times as a 5-star "ebayer." Thankfully the buyer actually left me positive feedback after contacting him/her, but paypal decided to charge me a fee of $1.17, even though I have never had any bad reports against me. It's a good thing I was planning on paying the shipping by check or cash instead of printing the shipping label off of paypal, which I never plan on doing because I don't trust them enough to trust what they want someone to print. I think that all of the angry (mad, unhappy, dissatisfied, etc.) people that have done business with ebay and/or paypal should get in contact with each other and do something about this outrage. As many others have said, ebay AND paypal need to be regulated and audited. I am sure that Ebay and Paypal make most of their money through theft and scams, then continue to charge us fees for everything they possibly can think of.
paypal support fraudulent software sellers!
I know the #1 thing that we all know about e-Bay purchasing is to be careful about who you buy from, so I admit I should have known better.
I purchased Microsoft Office 2007 from a seller on e-Bay for around $90.00 who only had 10 feedback. Yep...I shoulda known. Anyway, I purchased it and paid for it immediately. I then get an email from e-Bay telling me that the item was removed, not to pay for it. Ooops, too late! So I immediately called Paypal and let them know. I was told that since e-Bay sent me a warning email, Paypal would refund my money, but I should wait to see if the seller ships the item because they have had no complaints with this seller on his Paypal account (like I was dumb enough to believe that). That was the 1st of May. Oh, the seller also immediately canceled his email address also. The listing said it was in the US and then come to find out was really in China.
About a week to two weeks later, I receive the item. It was plastic wrapped, looked good, so I had my sigh of relief and went on to install the product. It wouldn't install. Really? Am I surprised at this...uh, no. I noticed that the disks were different than my other Office 2007 disks, so I got to looking and found that the disks had sticker labels, not hologram labels embedded into the disk. So I contacted Microsoft and verified with them that the program was fake. I had to give them all of the information for the guy. I scanned all of the images of the disks, the shipping label, the customs label, gave his email address, home address, everything. I recieved an email back from MS that said...yes, it's fake.
I then proceeded to contact e-Bay and when I told them that the gu was selling fraudulent software and mentioned him canceling his email account, I was then told by an e-Bay CS rep..."no, we canceled his account, he did not." I inquired as to why. His response "He had too many complaints of fraudulent software." WHAT? TOO FRIGGIN MANY? HOW MANY IS TOO MANY? OMG...I'm livid at this point. I called Paypal and informed them about all of this and they told me to file a complaint. This was the 15th of May. So I filed.
The seller responded and told me to send the software back. So Paypal said send it back. Really? I just told you that this guy is selling fraudulent software and you want me to send it back so that he can screw someone else? Did I hear you correctly? Yep, to get my money back, I had to send it back. So I did. Spent $13.00 to ship this back to China (where it wasn't supposed to be from) Priority International. And I waited...
Paypal canceled the claim because the item wasn't received. So I appealed. They canceled again because the package couldnt be tracked. I didn't know Priority International couldn't be tracked until now. So I called and they told me to fax all of my info to them. So I faxed 20 pages of PROOF that the software was FAKE along with my shipping receipt. They canceled the claim again. Okay, so now I am pissed. So I called yesterday and was told that they really don't care if it was fake or not, the seller has to receive the package back to refund my money. E-bay also informed me that there was nothing they could (would) do.
So, in short...both e-Bay and Paypal don't care what someone is selling as long as they get their fees. They have no morals and no ethics, and I was told yesterday that it doesn't even matter how long you have been a good customer, they just can't refund money out of the sellers account even if they know that this seller is commiting FRAUD!
I am now looking for another avenue of e-Bay payment because I cannot do business with people that support these kinds of sellers.
Just beware of buying from e-Bay and do NOT use Paypal unless you can afford to lose your money.
This will be all over the internet before I am completely satisfied.

HI all
i totally agree ebay paypal are the worse ever scame to deal with online, i have read too many about them, oh yea about shill bidding they don't even look at power seller who makes them money have a look at www.voiceofvoip.co.uk - or www.voiceofvoip.com you will even find much more how is ebay paypal and google they all one company and it is been called mafia the internet for long time, paypal can only investgate a case through ebay so you are not protected by using paypal in any other website, also they can only refund your payment if they manage to get it back from the seller otherwise they will simply cancel your claime with any execuse it is making money mafia and they policy is NO REFUND, have you ever though why ebay is growing up day after day simply they own google and every item on they ebay side already on google as well along with every member user name, shop name, and iems for sale .powerfull enough to steal ebay software and there is a court case until now another one read this one ...
The very first item sold on eBay was a broken laser pointer for $14.83. Astonished, Omidyar contacted the winning bidder to ask if he understood that the laser pointer was broken. In his responding email, the buyer explained: "I'm a collector of broken laser pointers
when are people going to learn that YOU WILL ALWAYS GET SCREWED BY EBAY AND PAYPAL... HOW DO YOU THINK THEY MAKE BILLIONS YRLY!
ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE
I posted a very similar complaint earlier today before I even read this complaint. Mine was not software but was fake merchandise and from overseas with very similar results from paypal. My complaint is listed under Paypal/Ebay and was posted 9-15-09.
Ebay is all about attracting cash to the system, regardless of the veracity of the buyers and sellers or the fidelity of the items being sold. The reality is that Ebay does not want to know that something being sold is counterfit, and is not interested in suspending sellers who sell counterfit goods or suspending buyers who either do not follow through on purchases or who threaten sellers with nrgative feedback.
I thought I sold an item to someone, but they never paid or responded to e-mails. So I listed it again. The same person won the acution again under a different screen name, the second of at least 3 screen names. Ebay did nothing. And as a seller, one cannot leave negative feeback for a buyer.
Ebay and Paypal, an Ebay company, suck the blood of sellers through listing fees, final value fees, and Payal fees. Now buyers and sellers are required to use Paypal as the only form of payment. No more personal checks, bank checks, or money orders. The latter used to ber the life blood of Ebay. But why should the U.S. Postal Service get a piece of the action? Next, Ebay will ave its own captive delivery service.
Put in a claim and it takes forever. Plus, everythng is driven by binary menus.
Maybe Google will develop a competing auction site.
Nothing like living in the United States of Avarice.
defective product, no communication or refund
wesaveyou$ eBay seller sold me a product, on 5/28/09 with several obvious defects, other than those listed in auction.
I left negative feedback to which he was allowed to reply with misinformation he knew was irrelevant to my complaint. I have no option, on eBay, to make this clear. I am an eBay buyer and seller with 100% positive feedback and until this matter have never left a negative feedback.
Though wesaveyou$ has 170 negative feedback, in the last 12 months eBay gives him a feedback score of 98.6%! This misleads others who might consider buying from this seller.
After 3 weeks with no response from him about this matter I filed a claim with PayPal, who guaranteed this auction and immediately escalated it to a claim per Pay Pal’s rules on 6/22/09. PayPal did not acknowledge the claim until today, when I filed it for a second time!
In short, I am left unsatisfied by the actions/inactions of wesaveyou$ or eBay/PayPal (PayPal is owned by eBay). In a simple matter of clearly defective merchandise I have been unable to receive any kind of satisfaction; or even direct contact (I did receive a couple of unresponsive auto-responses) from any of the other parties involved.
I had the same problem with them- I'm filing a complaint against them with the Attorney General.
paying your monthly payment
I rec'd an application and did not want it, went into the website to delete it and for some unknown reason, the next time I purchased something on EBay, it went directly to PayPal Buyer Credit Card. I've had nothing but problems trying to pay my bills with them. I've sent in my payment a week before my deadline and the next time I get a billing notice, it show's that, I was late in my payment and they had charged me a delinquent fee of $20.00! These guys reminds me of the "Loan Sharks" back in the days, but only legally.
My honest opinion is, don't apply for their credit card. Besides, who operates a banking company that, don't have an email address to complain too! You need to literally, write a hand written letter to these people who only have a P.O. Box.
If you do decide to call the phone number, you will be talking to someone in India, with a heavy accent, who knows the English language as a 2 or 3 language. "GOOD LUCK!"
I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS TYPE OF SERVICE FROM "PAYPAL BUYER CREDIT". EBAY IS SUCH A WONDERFUL TOOL, AND IT'S UNFORTUNATE, THAT THEY HAVE SUCH A POOR AND NOT EVEN A MEDIOCRE CREDIT CARD SERVICE.
I wished someone had posted this sooner. This also happened to me and I'm closing my account with them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is illegal, they are changing the due date for payment at anytime they feel is good for them, they call at all hours of the day and night, I never appliedfor this card I tried to delete the application, the next time I made a purchase on E Bay the bill came from them and GE Money Bank, E bay has screwed up and screwed me for the last time, my $74.00 purchase is now $194.00 with their 39.00 late fee and 2.85 service charge, theres a joke what service did I get, NONE! . I am complaining to EBAY directly this is their company (PayPal) and they need to know what they are doing to their loyal customers...you should as well because you will get nowhere trying to deal with GE MONEY BANK...go to the source -diamondmike1(over 100 positive feedbacks)
theft
I recieved an email the other day saying this: Thank you for using your PayPal Debit Card for your payment of $29.99 USD to WMV*MATCH.COM [protected] TX.
I have never used this company and this charge is fraudulant and theft. I have reported it on Paypal, to the "site" Match.com and to the Internet Crime Complaint Center online. I have seen several people with this same complaint and I am curious when something is going to be done about this.
Now this is funny. The charge was removed and the money placed back into my account. I am not sure what happened or if I have a bug or had one but I am hot carding my Paypal account for the moment.
What is AVP?
I have a Paypal debit card and have only used it once online to order a giftcard for a friend otherwise it stays in my wallet. No one has access to my card or my account. I looked up the name of the transaction and apparently many people have had this same charge show up on their debit and credit cards. I read on one post that it could be a keylogger/trojan in my pc that stole my card number. I am not sure how to check for a keylogger because it has not been found by my present virus scan. Anyone who knows of a good clean scan that I can download I would much appreciate it.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You can also try Spybot Search & Destroy. That has found some things my virus scan hasn't. Regardless, I don't think you should type any sensitive information into your computer until you're sure everything is ok. Good luck!
Hi AVP is a free virus protector you can download from the internet. It scans for virus and protects you from virus, trojan, etc.
I use housecalls myself.
I'm just curious if it's a phishing e-mail. If you've never used the site, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a link to match.com or paypal where they'll try to get your account number and similar things. I love clicking on things like that and putting in false information :o)

On 11/29/07 after we listed 2 very successful products on eBay from time period 10/28/2007 as user cooldeals2go and generated over 24, 000.00 in sales for a four week period, PayPal, Inc., restricted access to our funds (which we cannot transfer $11, 999.69 USD in funds to our bank account) and had eBay close/suspend our account cooldeals2go.
we were not selling any items that are illegal and our products were down loadable from the Internet and did not break any copyright violations.
we did notify PayPal, Inc., by phone to prior to 11/15/2007 to to let them know to expect an increase in sales so they would be provided with what we were selling, we also own www.hostitplanet.com and reconfirmed them about our sales. Therefore we felt we were clear with notifying them, we bought and paid with our PayPal, Inc., Inc. credit card an auto mobile and the had some services that were paid prior to them blocking access to our funds. (which they have blocked any payment being sent out) so we risk loosing our vehicle and reputation as a citizen in our area. also the restriction has caused eBay to suspend our account which means loosing an estimated amount of $3, 000.00 in sales per day and the inability to send products to our customer totaling around $2, 500.00. We have contacted PayPal, Inc., Inc. 8 times in a two day period from the time they restricted us, and supplied all requested information which we can verify we sent.
via screen shot to the items we submitted we have also some disputes from October that PayPal, Inc., has neglected to deal with for over a month.

I ordered 2 pairs of UGG shoes from nike-trade.com for 198.00 and payed via Paypal. The website says they are based in California, but the items shipped from China. When the UGGs arrived they were very very fake. I have other real UGGs and it is very easy to see that the ones from nike-trade.com are fake. I called Paypal and issued a complaint. They responded saying that they only help if the seller does not send you something. It does not matter if they sent you a fake, or even if it was something completly different such as a brick when you order a diamond. That is wrong Paypal! I will never use paypal again. They made money from me being victomized. I have forward my complaints to the FBI and any other agencies I could find. Beware of nike-trade.com. They used the email MYBIZWAY@hotmail.com. But I am sure they are using other websites and email addresses for the same scam.
It's a shame you are trying to place even a portion of the blame on PayPal. The reason you were taken is because you didn't know what you were doing or how PayPal works. Had you actually used PayPal your loss would have been covered by their insurance and a refund would have been processed. International sales via PayPal are no different than regular domestic transactions. I'm sorry that you had to learn the hard way. It was an expensive lesson.
and paypal claims that they have a"" buyer's protection policy""..all they do is to steal from people!
