PECO sent a bill dated 4/23/24 for $500.07 that included 2 billing cycles for electric and gas services. The bill did not include the supporting details for either of the electric cycles and not for one of the gas cycles. In addition, PECO never processed the outside supplier charges for our supplier (Direct Energy) for the billing period 1/12/24 to 2/12/24 for $120.46 as Direct Energy has been following up with us directly even though PECO was responsible to bill that.
Since May we have been sending numerous messages and filed a claim with the BBB to attempt to resolve these matters but as of this time the supporting details for the gas charges for the billing period 2/12/24 to 3/22/24 of $236.01 have still not been provided and the Direct Energy charges have still not been resolved. As part of the process for PECO to try to resolve these matters they have gone about some process to attempt to reverse all prior billings back to January and as a result there are large credits on our account and the rebillings have not been processed. As part of this process of the billing reversals and rebillings PECO has not processed any new charges to our account since the 5/15/24 ending usage period. Based upon this delay in billing we recently received a call from a collection company that indicated we were red flagged as being past due on our account even though we pay our PECO charges with them charging our bank directly so the only way that we could be behind in payments is if PECO did not process billings correctly. Lastly we had requested that our gas supplier be changed several weeks ago (which is our right under PA law) and PECO has not processed that change which we assume is due to there delayed billing issues. PECO has assigned a contact to work with us but they have not been responsive or helpful in resolving these issues. I have requested that the contact person provide us with a supervisor to better assist us but the contact person has been non responsive.
Desired outcome: Obtain details for gas charges of $236.01, resolution on the charges of $120.46, undo the reversals and prove that the account balance is zero, process the past due billings and process our change in gas suppliers.
