I got the same complaint as the two people before me
I got the same complaint as the two people before me. I liked the app, but my opinion changed after I scheduled a call with one of their advisors. A couple of days before my scheduled meeting, the company called to confirm my appointment. During this confirmation call, the person wanted me to give personal financial info (this wasn't an advisor I was talking to). I said no - I wanna talk to an advisor to learn more about the company and their services. If I like what I hear, I'll be happy to share my info. The person was really rude and told me it don't work like that. I gotta give my personal info to get someone to talk to me. I canceled my appointment and won't do business with them. I feel like I dodged a bullet. The way they handled this first call - no way I'm trusting them with my financial data. If the company reads these - please learn from this.

Personal Capital gave me a 200 dollar bonus for a consultation and a follow-up meeting
Personal Capital gave me a 200 dollar bonus for a consultation and a follow-up meeting. I completed all the requirements in October. They mentioned that it would take around 90 days to receive the bonus, which is okay. However, it's been 2-3 months past the 90 days, and I've sent them 4 or more emails and called them, but they keep avoiding the issue and refusing to give me the bonus.
I've been using Personal Capital for a while now and I really like it
I've been using Personal Capital for a while now and I really like it. One thing I appreciate is that they initially set up everything through email, which is great for me since I can't use a phone. They were very professional in their approach. However, I recently encountered an issue when I tried to close my account. They informed me that closing it out without using the telephone is not allowed and they can't do anything about it. They suggested that I ask another mutual fund to request the balance and they can transfer it for me. It's a bit disappointing because they used to be able to handle it themselves without the need for a phone call. It feels a bit unprofessional now.
I gotta say, I've been using Personal Capital for a while now, and boy, oh boy, they just can't seem to fix my problem
I gotta say, I've been using Personal Capital for a while now, and boy, oh boy, they just can't seem to fix my problem. See, I got this credit card linked to the app, but it ain't updating at all. It's a real bummer 'cause I got all my accounts linked up, and when one of 'em doesn't update, it messes up the whole shebang. Can't see any transactions past 10.3.2020, and that's just plain misleading, ya know? So, I reached out to 'em, and they said they filed some fancy IT ticket to fix it. But guess what? They had the nerve to tell me it's all resolved when it clearly ain't! And to top it off, they ain't even botherin' to give me a call and let me know if they're workin' on it or not. Talk about lousy customer service, man!

I got a deal where I could get $200 for talking to a money expert
I got a deal where I could get $200 for talking to a money expert. I chatted with *** twice in October to check out my money situation. *** told me to put more money in my personal capital cash account to get the $00 bonus, so I did. But on December 7, I only got $100 instead of the $200 they said. I reached out to ***, *** at support, Raj at support, *** customer support, but nobody fixed it. They keep saying the promotion team is still working on it. I did what I was supposed to do in October, and I just want the $200 they promised me.
I'm really frustrated with Personal Capital
I'm really frustrated with Personal Capital. I've been using their app for a while now, but recently, one of my discover cards ain't updating. I tried to relink it, but it keeps saying it's having trouble relinking for days now. It took me forever to get a hold of someone. Every time I called Personal Capital, I got a voicemail. It's so hard to actually talk to a real person. Finally, they opened a ticket, but there's no solution yet and they don't know when it'll be fixed. They keep bouncing me around between different people. Someone there needs to take responsibility and actually fix this issue. Can you please help me out? Thanks. *** ticket number
I got this mail from Personal Capital, they said they'd give me $200 for a "Complimentary Portfolio Analysis and Proposal
I got this mail from Personal Capital, they said they'd give me $200 for a "Complimentary Portfolio Analysis and Proposal". I did the review on 12/15 and followed all the rules to get the $200. They said I'd get the money in 90 days, but I still haven't got it. I called and emailed Personal Capital (April 16), but no response. They even called me 2 months ago to offer another portfolio analysis, but I told them I still hadn't got the money they promised. They said they'd check, but I haven't heard from them since. It's disappointing because I like their free finance tools and was thinking of doing more with them.
I had a lot of problems with my Personal Capital account since December
I had a lot of problems with my Personal Capital account since December . Someone hacked into my account and they told me to change my password. So, I made a stronger password for my login. But ever since then, every time I try to log in, I have to reset my password to get in. In May , I tried to log in again and my account got locked after I messed up my password a few times. I couldn't find any way to reset my password and unlock my account. The customer service was no help at all. The chat bot didn't give me any useful information to fix the problem. I tried calling customer support at 3PM CST, but nobody answered and they told me to leave a voicemail. Nobody from the company even bothered to reach out to me. The only time I heard from a real person at the company was when I asked them to delete my account. They didn't even ask why I wanted to delete it, even though I tried to get help before giving up.
Personal Capital sometimes gives out bonuses for letting them analyze your finances and having a couple of phone calls
Personal Capital sometimes gives out bonuses for letting them analyze your finances and having a couple of phone calls. I did both calls (the second one was on October 17th) and decided not to use their services (which turned out to be a smart choice, based on my experience). I reported an issue to them and they told me (I couldn't find this information anywhere) that it could take up to 90 days after the second call for the money to be deposited into a Personal Capital Cash Account. It has been almost 5 months since the second call, and even though the deadline has passed by two months, the money still hasn't been deposited into my account. They closed one ticket (ticket ***), but ignored a second and third ticket (the second one is *** - closed without contacting me just 4 hours after I created it, and the third ticket #*** was also closed the day after I filed it without any action or reaching out to me). I can't call them for a resolution, only submit tickets that seem to disappear without a trace. I just want the cash they promised for my time, and I'm extremely frustrated.
I've been having trouble with Personal Capital since September
I've been having trouble with Personal Capital since September. I stopped getting emails from them on 9/13 and couldn't log into my account. I'm worried someone got into my account and changed my email. I tried to resolve the issue with Personal Capital, but they haven't been helpful. I'm using this platform to escalate the problem because I'm not getting timely updates and it doesn't seem like they're working on a solution. Here's what happened:
- On 9/28, I emailed Personal Capital support about not being able to log in. They said they couldn't help me because my email wasn't registered in their system. They told me to submit a ticket through the home page for a locked account.
- On 10/7, I called their customer service to follow up since I hadn't heard anything. After the call, they emailed me asking for my exact email address so they could investigate further. I gave it to them within 10 minutes.
- On 10/16, I reached out again because I still hadn't heard anything. I expressed my concern and disappointment about the lack of communication, especially considering this could be a hacking attempt or personal data breach. I asked them to escalate the issue as soon as possible.
- On 10/28, they responded saying they still couldn't find a dashboard associated with my email. They asked me to forward the header of an email from Personal Capital that shows my email as the recipient.
- On 10/30, I replied with screenshots of previous emails from Personal Capital that had my email address. I also asked for more frequent updates in the future.
- On 11/16, I still hadn't heard back. I expressed my dissatisfaction again and said I would report them to the ComplaintsBoard.com if the issue wasn't resolved within 7 days.
- As of today, 12/7, I still haven't received an update. I'm hoping to get some assistance in finding a resolution through this report.
