car door locked when car is on and I was outside cleaning the snow
Hi,
I drive a Peugeot 307, 2005 model car. I live in Helsinki, Finland. The weather today was extremely bad and it was snowing heavily all day. I parked my car in the morning and in the evening I went to collect my car.
I started my car today in the evening and I was cleaning the snow outside. The doors were all closed and immediately the doors got auto locked and I could not get in to the car. I called a lock smith to open the door and he charged me 210 euros. I think Peugeot should reimburse me this money.
I think that the car systems are designed such that this should never happen. The doors should get locked only when the car is in motion. I had to suffer today because of this

Hi
I would like to file a complaint
An accident happened in the 2015 Peugeot 301
As a result of the impact, the airbags were opened for the driver and front passenger
.
First, I want to know whether air pillows should be opened and exploded at the same moment. Because I do not feel safe and protected with a quick blast
Second, the air bag in front of the front passenger opened in the direction of the front windscreen, which led to its breaking with the knowledge that it is supposed to open in the face of the passenger.
This is a mistake in the design and installation that may result in injury to the passenger because he is not protected by the airbag that is responsible for it.
This is a serious error that has consequences that may lead to the death of the frontal chair.
Please tell us what you need to do in this situation.
And set a date to change the pieces required by you and compensation for this error and those losses.
service delivery
I purchased a 2011 Peugeot 207 1.4 PopArt 5Dr in August 2016.
Engine No. 10FSX46407071
Chassis No. VF3WCKFT0BW038543
November 2017 I was driving the vehicle when the steering wheel went stiff.
After making a call to Peugeot South Africa Head Office I was told to send the vehicle to the dealership in East London, where I reside.
Once tests were done and recorded, the report was sent back to Head Office.
The Power Steering Electronic Unit had seized.
Unfortunately since purchasing the vehicle I have been retrenched twice and unable to commit to keeping the vehicle serviced.
Due to the above Peugeot South Africa are not prepared to foot the bill.
I went to collect at the service department. I spoke to someone about this particular part and he showed me two from vehicles that were in the workshop that were there to be repaired. Both power steering units needed to be replaced in these vehicles.
Since doing a little more research it would appear that Peugeot vehicles are know the have electronic problems, not only the power steering unit but other electronic parts.
3008 petrol turbo 2010 model
How can a car with 13000km be such a lemon. I bought this liability with 80000km on the clock. So in 2yrs or 50000 km I have had three oil leaks, belt tensioner twice and the o ring at bottom of the oil filter once 😡 also two water coolant leaks, o ring behind water pump once, and water hose cut due to being to close to the drive shaft, a design fault. 😡 how about the electric water pump in the turbo replaced😡don't forget battery replaced 😡 all good for 5 months then the anti pollution fault light came on, the diagnosis no compression! A new engine needed or open heart surgery 😡 are you kidding. Peugeot you should be ashamed of yourself making and selling this substandard crap.
508 bought new in 2012
I bought my 508 in 2012 .It is now 5 years old and due to be replaced .
I would like to get an other pug, but I am not too happy with a couple of problems : Between 2014 and beginning of 2017, we had to replace 5 times the motors of the electric windows . It looks to me that there is a problem which is not accepted by the local dealer or Peugeot France that I contacted
some months ago and has not taken the time or care to answer .
2013 peugeot 3008 hatch
I bought my car 497VSP from a non Peugeot Dealer in 2015 for $18, 000 with only 70, 000 on the clock. Worse piece of crap I have ever come across. Not long after I bought it, I noticed a rattle noise which got worse. It also had a recall for the thermostat. Took it to my local Peugeot Dealer at Von Bibra Southport QLD in Feb 2016 . Turns out the rattle was a faulty Turbo. They replaced Turbo & thermostat under warranty. Before getting it back the timing chain also faulted & was repaired. With in days of getting from Von Bibra Warning Lights started flashing on Dashboard, making my car undriveble. Since then the warning lights have come back on time after time, leaving me stranded on dark streets & busy freeways late at night with my kids. I have had many faults & repairs with my car including New Turbo, Then New foot pedal, Then New Fuel pump, Then timing chain replaced, Then ECU replaced, Carbon Submissions cleared multiple times, Over heating, leaking water & cracked heads repaired & lots more. On Friday 1st Sep 2017 while driving home my car without warning went into limp mode taking off from lights & I was nearly hit by another car behind me. My car was towed back on the 14th Sept, the earliest booking available To Von Bibra again for at least the 12th time in the 18 months since first repair & it has been off the road broken down for a minimum of 8mths. This time its been 4weeks so far Ive had no car & still not repaired . Each day they say it has been repaired until test drive, When the warning lights come back on. & they find another fault. They have worked with Peugeot Head office Sydney & even Peugeot France to try to repair my car.
I have pleaded with Peugeot Head Office Sydney multiply times to please replace my car with another reliable car or to buy my car from me. They seem to have all different excuses why they cant or wont. I was offered a trade for only $8, 000 on a $14, 000 car. This is not suitable for me as Im still paying my car off. I have suffered, physically, mentally & financially . I have missed shifts at work when breaking down, Im too scared to drive it & cant even visit my elderly mother 3hr drive away in fear I will break down & be stranded. I want Peugeot to do the right thing & buy my car back or exchange my car for another, instead of just trying to fix the problems. It is a lemon & not fixable.
bad service, from the receptionist
I took my car for service today 29/08/2017, and they dropped me to work. Normally Peugeot dont do collection I called to find if my car is ready so that I can get a lift from a colleque, when I ask to speak to Brenda the service lady I was told that she is not at her desk, I ask the receptionist if she put me to Joane as is know me she refused and drop the call. I call back and I insist if she can put me to Joanne which she finally did when I finish talking to Joane, I asked Joane to put me back to the receptionist so that I must tell her that I dont like her attitude, and she told me she does not have time for stupid things.
I have already bought 5 cars at Peugeot I am their regular customer but I will never allow this kind of service fron anyone.
peugeot 508
The worst car dealer in Egypt. They do not have CRM. All they are seeking is money. They jut want to grab money out of your pocket. When you go complaining about anything regarding your car when you are in warranty they do not fix it. They only want to fix anything that will give them money. I had lot of problems like my wheel and door linage started to wear out during my first 50000 KM and they said they will not change it !
Very bad car quality, very bad agency
timing belt and water pump peugeot 3008 warranty
Complaint against Peugeot and Doyles Garage Courtown
Car brought in for injectors problem and mirror fix. Garage advised replacement of timing belt and water pump. 2 weeks and approx. 2k later on the 9th may the head gasket blew as car overheated and stopped on M11 some 5 miles from home . It subsequently transpired that the engine block had split.
I contacted the garage as they had carried out work on the engine just 2 weeks prior. They agreed to tow in at no charge. Our insurance cover allows for breakdown assistance.
I noted that there was a gurgling noise form the engine area before I set out on my journey at midday. There was no other warning on computer display at that time. My wife who normally drives the car had said that she was also aware of this noise.
Note Doyles agreed to tow the car in as they had carried out repairs and service. I could have got car towed by Insurer and John ( the emergency tow man) checked to see that he could tow in at no cost before coming out . Had I known they were going to charge me I would have obviously used the insurer at no cost
It was also claimed that we were delaying decisions however the truth is that we needed decision for Doyles sales who only came back to us with initial offer on Monday 21 and second offer on Tuesday 22. There offer was rejected as it only allowed 7500 for our car compared to its book value of 12000 ( see above)
Worst of all Doyles made no reasonable offer and then charged us an additional 500 euros for the towing and dismantling of engine

peugeot 408 turbo
I am Peugeot 408 owner, the car buy only 2 week the car cushion spoiled and call for replacement and saying spare part need to order from France but until 1.5 month no new at all. Make several comments asking for spare part no answer at all call also no reply keep transfer the line. I am totally lost patient and confident on Peugeot Malaysia.
Totally no after sales customer service
I am Peugeot 408 (ETHP) owner. The car is just about 1 year. Recently, it has been diagnosed that the fan control switch (relay) which regulate the high speed fan is faulty. This resulted in air conditioning unit not working. However, I was told that the part is not available. It has now been almost 2 months that the car cannot driven due to worry that the engine may get overheated since the fan is not working. The local Peugeot earlier said that end of Nov., the part will arrive, and now I am being informed that it will only arrive Malaysia middle of December. So I am not too sure how long, it get fix. The car is still under warranty. For a small part, the authorized dealer not keeping a stock. In any case, I am sure it can easily deliver by air cargo.
If you really need to use the car, just change the relay from outside workshop. It would not be expensive.

extended warranty not given for turbo failure
My name is Alan Yu Toh Bing. I bought a Peugeot 3008 on March 3, 2014.
I was happy with the car in terms of the design of the car, the quality of the interior and the performance of the car. Although, I was warned by friends that Peugeot’s turbo has its problems, I went ahead with the purchase, assured by Peugeot’s 5-year unlimited mileage warranty.
Unfortunately, true to my friends’ predictions, my 3008 turbo failed early 2016 before March – short of 3 years since I bought it. But confident of Peugeot’s much touted 5-year warranty sales pitch, I was confident it would not be a problem for Peugeot to cover the repairs and/or possible replacement of the turbo system.
To my horror, our request for a replacement under the warranty was rejected because we were faulted for not following the servicing schedule as stated without any consideration for how difficult it is sometimes to even get a service appointment at your centres. Coupled with my own busy schedule as a business owner – yes, some times we came in late for servicing and, therefore, exceeded the recommended mileage point required for service.
My Peugeot dealer pointed out to me that it is clearly stated in the warranty that I have breached the requirements. Fact is, I never knew about it. And other car company’s I have dealt with don’t make an issue of it if the mileage is slightly over what is recommended.
When pointed out, I concede it is stated in the warranty booklet. But honestly, how many car owners would take the time to read all the literature supplied together with the car? We just keep hearing what is touted: “5-year UNLIMITED warranty!”
And the salesperson that made the sale to me never once highlighted this particular condition of the warranty when highlighting the “5-year UNLIMITED warranty!”
If the salesperson had pointed it out to me, would I have breached the warranty requirements? If I have purposely breached it, then I wouldn’t be writing to you. It seems Peugeot’s salesperson is ONLY concerned to close the deal. It wouldn’t have needed much effort to highlight this one very important condition to ensure the validity of the “5-year UNLIMITED warranty!”, now would it?
Months after discovering the turbo failure and having been deprived of the use of the car, I was told the turbo failure will not be covered. Why months? This is why: I first had to wait for weeks to send my car in to be checked as I was told there was no opening in service slots for my car to be looked at (seems to be a typical problem to help us not keep up-to-date with our service schedules). Then when I got it in, they recommended some peripheral repairs to try and solve the problem – I paid for it and it didn’t solve the problem. They then told me the turbo needed to be replaced and dropped the bombshell that it would not be covered by the warranty because of the service record. The car was then further kept in the workshop to confirm that the warranty was indeed invalid. And I was informed the warranty validity is determined by an insurance company – that may be so, but, to any customer it is Peugeot!
There is one more nagging question that I would like to raise. Why is Peugeot’s turbo so unreliable? It didn’t even last 3 years? Not to mention 5 years!
Fact is, now, I am saddled with this financial burden of having to finance between RM10, 000 to RM15, 000 to replace the turbo.
To date, I haven’t changed my turbo yet, I am still holding onto hope that Peugeot could offer me a full replacement or some other favourable options. If this is possible, it will show huge goodwill from Nasim Sdn Bhd as the official distributor of Peugeot in Malaysia and Peugeot as an international company. It would certainly restore my view of Peugeot back to being a positive one.
Regards,
turbo failure on my vehicle. had it replaced 2 times in just over 2 years
Today 2016/07/07 I am the unhappiest owner of a peugeot 5008 there can be.
When looking for a new vehicle for myself and my family we went away from the more trusted brands and thought lets drive the frence elegance fluer and all the other nice thing we hear of in adverts and read in books.
Well I am sad to say in my case it was all lies. At first it was lovely untill month 4 when the coil pack decided to pack up. Fortunatley it was still under warranty and it was sorted out.
Then 2 months later dowwn the line thye turbo packed up. Again I was lucky cause the vehicle was under warranty. Since these to major incidents small minor little things due to normal wear and tear went wrong but nothing to major untill a week ago when the replaced turbo that is now just over 2 years old went again. I contacted peugeot and asked them if there is anything they can do, because now my vehicle is out of warranty and a turbo should not fail according to the workshop manager.
Needless to say plenty of phone calls later and stating facts to many people at peugeot they refuse to assist. So to anyone out there thinking of buying a peugeot think twice. Its not a s good as it claims to be. As me my vehicle in mint condition with only 864000 kilometers on the clock having to have a 3rd turbo fitted, makes you wonder of the quality and the workmanship of these parts.
This is just my opinion I dont want to influence anyone, just a word of caution and warning

faulty peugeot 207 cc ii sport batch
TO WHOM IT MY CONCERN:
I bought a Peugeot 20 CC II Sport in 2013 at Centurion Select (Johannesburg), since I bought the car it has been giving me problems and costing me Thousands of Rands to get fixed, but after the problem is fixed, something else breaks again.
In 2014the car had Carbon build-up in it's engine, I got it fixed. In 2015 again the car had Carbon build-up in it's engine, Where Peugeot told me that it is normal for the build-up. In 2015 the car's on-board computer come on again with the same message: "Air pollution system failure", so I took it in and Carbon build-up in the engine again. Early 2016 I had to replace three (3) tyre pressure sensor's, The car overheated and I had to take it in again to get fixed. Latest problem: Lifters and valves faulty (noise from engine), missing one (1) firing on a cylinder and the car has electrical problems.
I can not drive the car and am currently renting a car to get to work and back.
I have used all my savings to try and fix this car, I do not have any money left to get it fixed, even though I still owe R104 000 on the car (financed through MFC Nedbank). I went to speak to one of the dealers at Peugeot Tygervalley (Cape Town) and asked him what they will give me for the car, he admitted to me that the 207 batch was faulty and that they will pay me R25 000 for the car, the will not get it fixed or put it back on the floor to sell again, because of all the problems the 207's has been given.
I do not know what to do anymore. All I want is for Peugeot SA to buy my car back for the amount that I still owe on my settlement with MFC.and buy myself reliable car that will take me to work and back ( I am a facilitator, I give training through out South Africa and can not afford to get stuck on the road or be without a car.
Will you be able to help me?

faulty, brakes sub standard products and bad customer service
Bought the Peugeot 408 Turbo last month and clocked 1, 700 km. Brakes were replaced after more than 6 emails and over 10 phone calls. Now the door trim melts ( sticky) and the steering needs to be replaced as the 2 pieces of metal on the steering has sharp edges that cuts my fingers. Complaints to France went unanswered and the Malaysia office is taking complaints lightly. I have put up my car for sale as I cannot accept the bad customer service and the problems with the car. Regretted buying a Peugeot. This will be the first and last Peugeot car for me. If I hear anyone who wish to buy a Peugeot, I would advise them to visit the service centre first. Everyday there will be customers throwing their frustration and swearing. The horror stories of Peugeot cars will certainly scare you off.
This is the worst car I have ever own and I'm selling my car for a discount even if I have to loss a few thousand bucks. The customer service is worse than the 3rd world countries.
If you want a nightmare, buy a Peugeot.

premature failure for parts
I am Ahmed Emad Rady, Dean of The School of Medicine in Ain Shams University and a 3 months and 16 days owner of a Peugeot 508 car in Egypt. This email is an official complaint about both the bad quality of the car and the unprofessional service provided by your official retailer and service provider: Peugeot CDCM.
After buying the car for 2 months, I noticed the presence of high vibrations on the steering wheel while decelerating from speeds ranging from 120-130 Km/h which made the car unstable and out of control. I called the call center and scheduled maintenance the following week. On the job order I asked them clearly to do a check on the braking system of the car. After an eye inspection for the braking pads and a touch check for the rotors, which is not professional by any mean, they declared that the brakes are perfect and they followed this by doing the 10, 000 Km service for the car.
Three days later I had an unfortunate experience when I used the brakes and the car went completely out of control and the vibrations increased tremendously. I returned back to Peugeot CDCM and asked them to do a PROFESSIONAL test on the braking system which could have resulted in an accident. After the second inspection they said that I have a fatal error in the brakes especially in the wheel hub, which caused a non-circular move of the wheel and was most obvious while breaking. Visual inspection revealed a corroded wheel hub with signs of pitting. After disassembling the wheel components they found out that the bearing supporting the wheel is not working properly and some of its balls were out of place. Consequently, the parts, which needed change, were: wheel hubs, wheel bearings, rotors and pads. After two days of searching for the spare parts I received my car with their oral consent that the car is safe and I can go anywhere safely.
After exactly three hours form taking the car from the service center, I parked my car and when I returned back the gear box jammed on the “Park”. After many trials with “Peugeot Assist” call center, who asked me to remove the cable of the battery for 5 minutes and put it back again and try again, they sent me a technician who removed the cover of the gearbox inside the car and released the shift lock using a long screw driver. I went back to the service center at the same day after 6 hours for the third time in one week.
Yesterday can only be defined as a complete failure in diagnosing the problem and/or fixing it. First they started by removing the “Stop mechanism switch” in charge of releasing the shift lock when pressing the brakes. Afterwards they checked the car’s memory for any recorded errors and they didn’t find any. So they kept checking the electrical system of the car to diagnose this malfunction. Then, the car showed an “ESP error” and the brakes jammed. They then told me that they are checking for errors in the SERVO of the brakes, which showed low flow of brakes oil. Finally, and with the full ignorance of diagnosing the problem, they told me that the new part they added was not working properly so they changed it again and asked me to take the car back with me and try it for a week to check for errors myself.
I am sending you this email to ask you to save your image which has been greatly influenced by this incident; all my colleagues in the school of medicine and family members have decided not to buy any Peugeot cars after seeing what I have been through and to save one of your customers, who always believed in the brand name, from risking his life and the life of all who rides the car with him from a trial and error test for an undiagnosed car.
I officially filed a case against Peugeot in the Consumer Protection Agency in Egypt and another case in the Egyptian court to take corrective actions and to get me either my car money back or to get me a new non-defective one.
gearbox malfunction
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Karim Mahmoud Hassan Gad an Egyptian owning a grey 508 Peugeot model 2012 and i would like to inform you that on the 7th of April
there was a malfunction with the gear box so i went to the service center in Alexandria Margham on the 21st Km Alexandria Cairo dessert road in order
to fix the malfunction, they informed me that they have to check the car and it is going to take a while, however after 3 days they told me that the gear box
must be exchanged so i asked what went wrong with the gearbox I got a non-professional respond as they told me that they didn't find out what was the malfunction reason and that I just have to get a new one, although i go to the service center for the periodic maintenance on time and the last time was a month before the malfunction and they did not mention any problem with my gearbox, which i consider dishonesty from them, furthermore after a couple of days they informed me that they contacted the authorized agent who replied that the price for the gearbox will be 60000 EGP and i have to pay about twenty percent which is 12000 EGP i do not know on what basis or standards i was asked to do so, which is unacceptable at all as the damage was not a result of a misuse, or excess usage as I only used it for 60000 Kms, and of course the durability of the Peugeot car gear box is neither that short life time nor that bad quality.
I insist that the gear box exchange must be fully paid by the service center.
i have sent several emails to peugeot.com.eg but no reply
Regards,
Karim Gad
