PictureME Photography poor service!

I recently had portraits taken of my 3 month old daughter at the portrait studio with the intention of purchasing only there "promo"package of my favorite pose. When I called to schedule the appointment it took several calls with not even an answering machine picking up. On the day of the appointment the manager was in the studio training the photographer. The manager was on the phone most of the time calling another studio and leaving messages because she could not get through to that studio. After more than 45 minutes of the two photographers trying to take the pictures I then waited more than 20 minutes for the photographer to prepare the digital proofs for me to pick from. All along I was stating in the nicest way that I was only interested in one pose for the package and not all of the extras that she was preparing to show. Only after I had waited over an hour did the photographer inform me that the first pose was the only one I could purchase for the promo. This was extremely disappointing and upsetting.

I in no way had any input on the pose that was taken and in no way was informed that this is how it worked. I then asked how much additional prints were and was astonished by the $10 a sheet price. (I can get $3.99 sheets at another department store studio) I was also not impressed with the 2 1/2 week turn around. I went back to pick up my portraits the DAY AFTER I was told that they would be ready and could not get my pictures. The response I was given was" That date is an estimate, they could be back that afternoon or the next day.

All of this from a studio in the Wal-Mart, where we trust that we are getting the best deal for the best price. While I realize that the studio only rents space from the store, I can't believe that Wal-Mart is ok with this poor customer service even being associated with their store.

Hi there. $3.99 a sheet huh? I would almost bet that that "other store studio" charges a $20 sitting fee for the first subject and $10 for additional subjects. I would also bet that they aren't offering you one 10x13, one 8x10, two 5x7's, four 3x5's, and 16 wallets for $7.99. You mentioned that you were only there to purchase the "promotional package of your favorite pose" If you would have actually read the advertisement, you would have seen clearly that not only is it a one pose package...but it's also the very first pose that is taken...if it is a film studio that is. If it IS a film studio..then you saw the pictures as they were taken...you are given the choice to either accept the portrait...or try it again. If you are upset because you didn't get to pick a good pose, then I can't help but to think that it's partly your fault for accepting a portrait that you didn't like. If you would have done this, then you would have liked the first pose and would have been happy with it. Now...if this was a digital studio...which I know it wasn't because you were quoted $10.oo a sheet extra...you would have picked any pose you liked. So...to those of you who complain because you feel you were mislead, I don't feel sorry for you. Your ignorance is not a reason to protest a service. Next time read the advertisement.

My wife and I just had a rotten experience with these people this afternoon.

We went with the idea that we would take the introductory package, as we were going to try out several studios. Our sons first birthday is in December and we figured whoever took the best pictures, had the best pricing for the quality, and was the easiest to deal with would get our business in December. Aside from celebrating his birthday with a big package, we must also have a few hundred 5x7's to pass out as gifts at his party (cultural thing). So we are looking to perhaps spend several hundred dollars, but only at the right studio!

At first everything went well and we took several different poses. The time to see the digital proofs was very quick. However, once we saw the photos we were very underwhelmed with them. Some of them showed my fingers, as the photographer had me prop up my son. When the photographer began to pan and zoom the digital proofs, things started to look better. We even decided that a package might be a good idea as some of the pictures were very cute.

The problem was that she wouldn't tell us how much packages cost. She became very rude when we insisted on knowing prices before we made decisions. It became so negative that my wife and I decided to stick to the original plan and get only the introductory offer. When we chose that picture, we were told it would cost an additional $30.00, because the picture had been zoomed. I was appalled.

We then looked over the entire collection and realized that every single pose had something wrong. Either it was off center, to small, or was poorly set-up (one picture had my sons collar covering his mouth!).

It was at that moment we realized the scam that was being pulled. The photographer made sure that each picture needed "enhancements" before it would be suitable. My wife and I looked at each other in disgust. Needless to say, Picture Me is now off our list!

I will not bother calling customer care, as I don't really care to do business with theives. You couldn't give me pictures. They are con artists out to swindle people of money. I intend to tell EVERYONE what happened. I will blog this everywhere. Stay away from Picture Me!

A professional photographer does not take the shot, unless it is the RIGHT picture. There should be little to no panning and zooming to make the picture look right! If the photographer doesn't take the RIGHT picture, they had better now charge to MAKE IT RIGHT. Doing so is a scam!

Being that the studio is Digital, there are three options when purchasing prints.

a) Purchase the ad special for $7.99. You choose the pose. additional sheets are then $19.99 a sheet.

b) (No ad special) Build your own collection at $9.99 a sheet. Mix and match the poses you'd like.

c) (no ad special) Purchase one of our pre-set collections starting at $79.99, which gives you 5 poses, 10 sheets, and 3 free enhancements. (they go up from there, depending on your needs)

I'm sorry you were dealing with a misinformed employee. We're not all like that. As far as the pricing goes, we don't make that decision, but have to follow what corporate decides. Nor do we have control over the turn around time.

The date is not an estimate, and that girl should've been researching why your portraits weren't there yet. I get my picture shipment 3-4 days BEFORE the due date EVERY SINGLE WEEK. She must have looked at the wrong arrival date.

I recommend contacting corporate customer service. Explain what happened, and see what they can do to help. It sounds as if the District Manager was training a new photographer. They're the only ones who will spend 45 min attempting to reach a studio to make sure it is covered.

I'm very sorry this happened.

PictureME Photography bad service

Person who took my call booked me on wrong day for photo shoot, then had thenerve to be smart and rude telling me I could wait for 1 1/2 hours! Called walmart manager Cheryl and she gave me a cell phone of district manager. I called that only to get another rude person who was pissed that I had their private cell and started going off becase I had their cell and started demanding to know how I got the number, who gave it to me, and where they were at. Great way to handle a unhappy customer! At this poit I was even more pissed and I called the employee who scheduled me wrong a dumb ###. She started screaming about my laugage and hung up. Can't wait to do busniess with these people again! I called Walmart later to say what had happened and they said that the employee said that she had said Sat was full and said she was booking me on Sun. A complete load she made up to cover her a)). Sears was happy about it because they got a nearly 200$ order. I will advise everyone I know never to go there.

I had taken my kids in to have pictures taken before my son had to leave for the Marines. We are not sure when he will be back home, but the pictures we had taken of all of us together meant the world to me. Now because of some "girl", my pictures were blurry and off center. I was promised by the "Manager" promised she would send them back to the lab and have them fixed, considering I CANNOT REDO THESE PICTURES! I waited 2 weeks and called to get an update on my pictures, now I am being told that they are not able to locate my pictures.

To bad I cant do something to the company to make them realize that they cannot just keep doing this crap to people and not worry about any type of consequences. What if something were to happen and that was to be the last time a picture would had been able to be done. MY GOD!

I am upset, my son is God knows where and I am beside myself that, NOW I have NO PICTURE.

I took my grandchild to Picture Me for Christmas photos. We had an appointment for 2 pm. We were not seen until after 3:30. Very unprofessional, and they even took someone ahead of us who didn't even have a scheduled appointment. I have never seen such unprofessional people in all my life. What's the point in having an appointment if they're not going to keep it? Very frustrating STANDING there with children, and only enough seating for 2 people.

PictureME Photography portrait sitting

I had been looking forward to our picture day. I am ill and so is my daughter. I just had surgery on Tuesday 4/29. We've recently completed our degrees in Masters and Bachelors and my grandaughter from Kindergarden. We thought it would be a great idea to take a family photo. when I set up the appointment I made that person aware the sitting was for a graduation of 3 and a group generations of girls in our family sitting. We had to pose ourselves through out the photo shoot. Maria unfortunately was not instructive at many portions of the sitting. I reminded Maria when we arrived why we were there, she said lets do the graduation first. Then the group shoots. Once we went through confusion in taking the gaduation shoot, Maria then told us we could not take our family photos. We were truly in auh! Do you know how difficult it was to get 3 little girls and 3 women to dress alike. Maria decided to take one picture of us as a group which I really did not like. I paid $65.18 . Maria acted as if she were doing us a favor, by taking that one photo. I was hoping for different poses with my girls so that it will be a pleasent experience to remember for ever instead it had to be one of the most confusing times to where my daughter was beginning to become upset, which I have to say is rare. We will be doing an article for Newsday soon. Three Generations of Graduates I really hope these photos will be the best Picture me has to offer. Unfortunately I do not believe we will return to Walmart Picture me any time in the near future. I hope there is something you can do to assist us. I am customer 017, shoot week 200814 roll 16.

I got my sons 2 weeks pictures taken in April it is now August and guess what I still don't have them and now have been told that the film has been destoyed and there is nothen they can do about it..

I brought my son in to Fond du lac WI Studio 1643 for his 2 week pictures my photographer was Crystal. From the get go you could tell she did not know what she was doing. She did not know how to pose him, she was always putting stuff in his face even when I told her to stop it she continued to do it. She put flowers all around him and looked at me like I was nuts when I told her to remove them he is a boy and you don't put flowers on a boy.

I went in to pick up my pictures and they were not the pose that i had ordered. When I asked what happened to the pose that I ordered. I was told that that was the one that I ordered. I then left the studio after 20 minutes went home and emailed and called pictue me and got no responce. I then called everyday for 2 weeks until I got to TALK to some one. The gentleman that I talked to Reordered the pictures for me (the right ones). I NEVER GOT A I'M SORRY IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO, LET ME GIVE YOU A FREE PACKAGE, YOUR MONEY BACK OR ANYTHING. I then got a call from the studio that they came in but there was something wrong with them and to come in and take a look. so I went up there and they were all green and blue it looked like tarnished cooper. Then manager that was working said she would reorder them for me. I never heard from any one so on 8-6-08 I was at the store and stopped in at the studio. I waited for 15 minutes before anyone even stepped foot into the studio. I don't know if she was out walking the store or what but there was not even a sign saying I'll be back in 10 mintues or anything. Once again it was Crystal She found the pictures and once again they were green and blue again.I asked her why this is happening and was told she didn't know and that she herself has reordered them 5 times know. WHICH WAS A BIG FAT LIE. there is now way from the time they were reordered until the time i went to pick them up this last time they could of been ordered 5 times. She then tried to get us to leave the studio because I was asking for the district managers phone number so that I could get to the bottom of this. she refused to give it to me until I called my husband over to look at the pictures. He then asked her for the managers phone number and she gave it to us. we then asked her how long the pictures were at the studio and why no one called us to tell us they were in. and again we were told I don't know. On tuesday 8-7-08 I then called the number she gave us and left a message for the manager and guess what I still have not heard back from there. Today 8-14-08 then called the same number and talked to someone in customer service and after being on the phone with her for 40 minutes was then told that I CAN NOT GET ANY OF HIS PICTURES BECAUSE THE FILM AS BE DESTROYED. but if you want you can have the blue-green ones that the studio has if I want them Well YES I WANT THEM so she called the studio and told them to give them to me because I was always told I could not have them. well guess what now they can't find them. OF COURSE THEY CAN"T FIND THEM. But Crystal will be back Saturday and they will look for them then and give us a call.

I too was looking for the website and could not find it i tried to call customer service but no one answered. my sisters and i had a very bad experience in snellville georgia wal mart we went in to take pictures of us and my son as a special surprise for my father the girl didn't even tell us the specials she just kept complaining about the company wanting to do enhancements we told her we just wanted 1 pic of us and wanted the special finally after 10 min of her still complaining she finally started to take our picturesd they came out very badly she was rude the whole time and was rushing us. She made us feel very uncomfortable and would not even show us all the pics she took of us talk about a very disgruntled employee she should just quit and go somewhere else customers do not need to know how much she hates her job so instead of making our picture taking day into a special one she made it a friggin nightmare i will never go there again.

I have newborn twins and I have been trying to have their pictures taken every month, but due to either lack of training or just plain incompetence of the employee I was unable to due this. First, I just had to have my pictures reprinted because they were damaged. Then the next time I went for Easter/ Family pictures and somehow they said the film was exposed to light... After trying to have my money refunded they said all they could do was do a reshoot... so I did. Not to mention the time it takes to do a reshoot twins 41/2 months old. But I did it anyways...Well today I go to pick up my new pictures and discover they were also not able to print them.. and still no refund... Please do not waste your time or memoriesn by going to walmart picture me studio...

the store in del city has a pregnant employee that is the rudest person you will ever meet. she has a horrible smell of smoke on her, she is constantly stuffing her face, she dresses poorly, does not attempt to even brush her hair, let alone her teeth and she's just plain rude. i cannot wait for her to go on maternity leave, i hope she never comes back. she's the manager too for crying out loud...geeeez!

also the one in midwest city, that's a whole other story, they take long lunches, have to be paged when a customer arrives because they're out shopping in walmart, they arrive late to work, sit on their cell phones, don't answer work phones, give their friends upgrades and discounts, take crappy pictures, cut off the kids' heads when they send them to the lab, and are very unprofessional. i have made several complaints, and yet the store managers insists that she has cameras to watch over them, yet she does nothing. i go monthly to get my newborns pictures and every month is a new fiasco. it's ridiculous, if it wasn't so cheap, i would definitely go elsewhere.

I wanted to let you know that i have always used the picture me studio. For the last 2 years i haven't went anywhere else for pictures, however i was very very aggervated with what happen to me tonight. I live like 45 minutes to an hour away from the walmart there. I always go there for all my pictures and i got there it was 6:10 the girl was still there and refused to let me pick up my pictures, i explained to her that i lived nearly an hour away and didn't know if i could get back there tomorrow. She replyed she was sorry and that i could pay a shipping fee and have them shipped to me, i am very sorry to say that i already paid for my order in full and will not pay an extra shipping fee! If she hadn't of been there i wouldn't be so upset, but the fact was it was 10 minutes and the only reason i went was to pick up pictures because my pick up date was for the 16th. I would not of gone there had i not had to pick up the pictures. So much for customer satisfaction! I think that from now on i will have my grandsons pictures done here at the studio in our home town, they cost more but will probably not be so rude! If they are when we arrive and it is just a few minutes they would surely give us our paid in full order.

That sucks just because you only want the special and only want one picture doesn't mean that there isn't protocol to follow. The company has standards that have to be met and sometimes you just have to sit through 6 to get one. I don't agree with her rudness though.

OHH and we have been begging for new backgrounds...they take away the old ones and replace them with very few and only with the little ones...Hopefully the new ones are on the way..they keep saying we will be getting them...I can only hope for all of our sakes. I too have a wall of pictures from the WalMart studios from several years ago and we still have the same backgrounds in the studios now.

I brought my son and grandaughter in for pictures and the sales girl Kimerly was patient with the kids however I feel she could have taken better pictures had she been more focus on the the session than her cell phone. It is important to have more than one person on duty when taking pictures exspecially of small children. We spent a lot of time waiting for her to help other that were stopping by with question and that took time from us. By this time we have gotton fustrated and undecied on extras and left. One last thing, it is not fare to make your customer pay for a package at the time of the shot, due to money and time. We should be allowed to choose a package at time of pick up at a reasonable price. I was told we could only get the package at a certain price on that day. We were not prepared to do that but wanted to purchase all the picture. Please get a better system to allow you customers to purchase more and a good deal as well as have the full attention of the sales person.

PictureME Photography discrimination

I understand that I am unqualified for re-hire due to the fact that when I was employeed by PCA I lied on my application, As your disctrict manager Amy Williams clearly pointed out. I however refered Amy for a job with PCA as a photographer and I was there when she filled out her application and she clearly put that she graduated from high school. Inwhich everyone in her district knows she did NOT graduate. I just feel that its a double standard, I mean how long does someone have to pay for their mistakes?

Sucks all around ... sadly DM's are needed more then photographers. A letter to CPI corporate office with this little tid bit may be in order.

PictureME Photography terrible customer service

I went into the Picture me portrait studio on 3/9/08 to get my daughters Easter Pictures done, the lady said she could get me in around 12:00. Finally around 12:30 we started the session. The lady was very rude, kept making comments rude comments about how horrible my daughter was, and messy (she is almost 19month). After all was said and done I got no pictures and wasted 2 1/2 hours.

http://halifax.mediacoop.ca/blog/samanthabhadra/5330 It is My Image- I Paid for It, I signed It, I put My Full Name on It. It is My Property. An F Rating: Photo Studio in Walmart
My name is Vidyasvari. I have been living in Halifax for 3 years now.

I have never been a customer of Walmart before- except for a snack I bought there one day this year.

However, on September 30, 2010- in response to my question on how to get a pair of citizenship pictures done- an acquaintance (Mervyn Kumar-Misir) took me to a photo studio in Walmart (Bayers Lake).

We were early and waited until the studio opened.

A lady (Sandi) asked us to sit down and asked me to fill out a form (name, e-mail address, home address, and phone number)- which I immediately did.

Sandi did not properly greet us, she was busy serving customers who were queuing behind us.

A pair of citizenship photos were requested.

The photographer (Sandi) assured us that she was familiar with the specifications and refused to look at the paper from Immigration Canada.

Mervyn tried to read her the specifications. Sandi snapped at Mervyn.

Mervyn looked at me and said that everything is computerized, nothing can go wrong.

Sandi took my picture and asked me to pay for it. I asked to first look at the result but Sandi said that the pair is still wet.

I paid, got my receipt and since someone has just invited Kumar out for a brunch: we took the pair without properly inspecting it.

At home, I realized that Sandi had stamped the back of the pictures the way a pair of passport pictures is supposed to be stamped.

I took the bus back to the studio, spoke to a customer service agent who dismissively said that “the photo studio is not part of Walmart”.

I walked to the photo studio and politely asked Sandy to erase the stamp and to re-stamp the back.

She refused. I said: “I do not usually look good in still pictures. I have been very relieved I looked good in the one you took. I am very grateful of it.”

She again refused to gently erase the slanted longer stamp and replace it with a shorter version. The one that would resemble what is on the specification paper from Immigration Canada.

I said: “According to Immigration Canada (I again showed her the paper), I need to be able to put my name at the top of the stamp. I could not do so since you (Sandi) stamped the back of the picture very close to the top. You (Sandi) used a passport stamp format instead of a shorter citizenship stamp format.

Sandi said that unwanted pictures would usually be sent back to her along with a rejection paper. She said: “I have been doing this for 35 years. You are a liar.”

I told Sandi: “I am not a liar. I am not the one who issued the specifications. Immigration Canada has put the requirements there for a reason and I can not afford to lengthen the wait time by sending in a pair of pictures that do not meet the compulsory specifications. “

She had her hand on my wrist, saying: “you are not understanding, you are not understanding.”

I was ready to take the pair home and go to the library in order to find another photo studio when Sandi spirited half of my pair away.

I thought she was going to replace the stamp. I wanted to follow her but I wasn’t sure if I would not be trespassing.

Some minutes later, I peeked into the studio’s workshop. Sandi was on the phone, while cutting a picture of me with a pair of scissors.

It was a scan of the half that has been with her, she gave me the scanned picture and refused to hand me half of my original.

I initially took the scan but upon further inspection, the scan is darker than the original half.

The scan was also in a slanted position. Worse, Sandi cut the bottom of the scan with a pair of scissors and it was jagged.

I went back to the studio (my palms together in front of my nose, stating: “Please do not get mad at me.”) in order to collect half of the original that has been with her.

Sandi abruptly took the scan away, she was furious. I begged her to hand it back to me.

She repeatedly refused.

I tiptoed and got the scan from her hand. I needed it in order to show an arbitrator the reality of this piece of unauthorized work.

But most of all, I needed half of my original back since it already has my full name and signature. I told Sandi: “I do not wish to leave my personal property here.”

I asked her to return half of the original to me. She refused.

I said: “Please, I do not wish to cause anyone any trouble. I need half of my original back. I would then give you the unauthorized work back, that is the darker, slanted and jagged scan.

On top of her lungs, she called security on me. Sandi said: “There is nothing wrong with any these pictures.” I said: “if you really think so, why did you take one of my original away?” Sandi refused to hand it back to me. I said: “you said there is nothing wrong with it, so please return it to me.”

When I refused to leave (without half of the pair that I’ve paid), she walked me away from the photo studio.

I took my time leaving Walmart. I stopped and spoke to a guy with a small charity table.

( I am applying for my Canadian citizenship. I can not afford leaving a signed photograph of me with a person who called security on me. I didn’t wish to leave Walmart this way.)

I took the bus home but I was so distraught, I couldn’t get out of the bus. I let the bus drove me over to Dartmouth (even though I live in Clayton Park).

I am reporting this incident since I haven't been able to shake off the contempt, aggressions andviolence that was directed against me.

I have been losing sleeps in the past 8 weeks. I have been living in constant fear of identity theft and further aggressions.

I have been sleeping less than 3 hours per night in the past 8 weeks.

I have also accumulated a lot of missed opportunities since I haven’t been able to go places alone in the past 6 weeks.

I ventured out to Dalhousie Open House and Saint Mary’s Open House but Post Traumatic Disorder took over me and I could not interact with the friendly staff and teenagers there.

I was in constant fear of random acts of aggressions.

I went to Halifax Forum to purchase a winter cap and I could not bring myself to get my purchase from the counter that the owner of the counter had to personally hand it to me.

I regretted I didn’t go to the police on Sep 30.

Later on, I found out that Shoppers Drug mart has been offering a pair of citizenship pictures for 10$. I went to Shoppers Drug mart, 3x. Each time I saw the white screen background, my head spun and my knees failed to support my body. I had to hang on the nearest fixture.

It is worth noting that on Oct 23, 2010 a recent acquaintance (Martina Bottmeyer, originally fromGermany) offered to drive me to Dartmouth Crossing to see Sandi’s manager (Jackie, I got her phone number from the 1-800 number on Sandi’s studio).

We arrived at Walmart (Dartmouth Crossing) I waited for my turn, and when I finally got to see Jackie, I said: “I do not wish for anything bad to happen to Sandi, I do not wish for her to get fired or reprimanded. Half of a pair of a citizenship photos that has been signed with my signature and full name has been with Sandy since Sep 30, and I would like your help to get it back.” Jackie picked up the phone and said (I am paraphrasing):” Sandi, someone is coming your way. Please have her picture ready and give it back to her. She said you’ve had it since Sep 30.”

Jackie told us that Sandi is actually the manager of the photo studio in Walmart (Bayers Lake) and that Jackie is not Sandi’s superior.

Martina and I arrived at Walmart (Bayers Lake).

There were around 3 customers in front of us and so we waited for our turns.

Our turn came, Sandy refused to speak with me. Sandy looked at Martina in the eyes, telling Martina (I am paraphrasing): “this woman cost the studio 60$, this woman stole 4 pairs of pictures, this woman assaulted me.”

Martina needed to leave early since she has booked a course downtown.

Martina looked at me, I shook my head indicating that I am innocent.

It is the company who cost me 18$, it is Sandi who took half of my picture away.

Sandi said she needs to send that half to the company’s head office in the US.

(Earlier, Jackie said it is not their practice to do so.)

It is Sandi who has performed an unauthorized work and has taken half of the original pair without my consent.

I am a very peaceful and thoughtful person. Nothing of this sort has happened to me before- thankfully.

I have been living in fear of further aggressions since September 30, 2010.

I have failed to properly function since Sep 30, 2010.

I am reporting this incident so that I can finally rest my fear of further aggressions in good hands (The Halifax Regional Police) and move on with my citizenship application / my life in general.

Thank you very much for your attention, thank you very much for reading and filing my report.

i think picture me customer serice employees and feed backs that distrit managers are very poor, unperfessional and shouldn't be allowed to be in this buisness with bad aditudes, or take there bad day out on customers. In bristol Va. exit 7 store there needs to be big changes exspeacially in management and the district manager who does not return calls . melissa, (customer service asst. manager, and angie district manager.
the only thing a person taking pictures should do is make a child smile and let the parents do the rest.

You it just sounds more like you got upset that your spoiled misbehaved child wouldnt sit down for there session. i agree with URAN Idiot, your pissed cause you had to wait cause you probably didnt have an appt and you were starting to get hungry and your kid who always tends to act up when they are tired or just born is getting impatient waiting to take her pictures that her mother was ill prepared for! Its annoying that customers do that, put blame on the employee even though the employee didnt ask them to breed and bring in their kid to take photos

Picture Me is the worst company I've dealt with. I've been taking my children to photo studios for 20 years and I've never had problems retreiving pictures before. Not only am I having problems getting my grandaughters pictures, I can't never get anyone on the customer service line. What type of company is this? I'm not even upset about the 30.00 I put down, I'm upset because my grand-daughter features is changing from one to another & I'm missing the change. Picture people should be shut down all over. They should not be able to use a place such as Walmart to rent from. Walmart reputation is going to take a hit for this-word is going to go out that their helping scammers.
If anyone can help me retrieve my pictures please email me. Thank you

So as a walk in, your complaining about the wait time? Or is it more to the point that you were insulted because she called your baby pet names that ONLY YOU found disturbing?

Where you didn't specify what "Rude comments" were made, I find this hard to believe. What I find even more difficult to swallow is you wasted 2 hrs, and endured these rude comments. Had someone done that to MY KIDS, I wouldn't stand for it. I'd let her know exactly what I thought of her and left. Not waited and posted a vague complaint online.

We had a family photos taken on 5/4/08. Dawn was our photographer, she did a great job considering that we had nine people in the picture. She did really well, in getting nine people to smile at the same time. We were every happy with her.

PictureME Photography horrible customer service!

I brought my newborn to Walmart’s PictureMe Studio on 03/05/08 at 6pm. In the first pose his face was falling forward. I told the photographer, Melissa, she needed to try another pose. She did but used the first pose (the worst one) for the advertised $6.99 package and refused to change it. If I wanted better poses I’d have to purchase expensive packages to get them. The rest of the session was frustrating. Part of the baby’s face was blocked in most of the photos by the angle or the cushion he was on. His foot or the top of his head was cut off on full body shots. I had had an exhausting day prior to coming to the studio and just wanted to get out of there. I asked for just one copy of each of the six poses she’d saved. I was told I’d have to purchase a package; I could not buy individual sheets. When describing the packages she pointed to the middle of a computer screen showing a dollar amount and package contents. I reluctantly agreed to the smallest package she insisted I had to buy to get the sheets I wanted.

When I paid her she kept saying I hadn’t given her enough cash. I was exhausted, figured I’d miscounted, and gave her more money. As I walked away I counted the money left in my pocket and realized I’d overpaid her. I looked at my receipt and realized she’d overcharged me. I had reluctantly agreed to spend $80 on the crummy photos. She’d charged me $113.40! I returned to the studio. Melissa had gone into a storage area; I waited but she didn’t come out. I picked up my film developing from the back of Walmart and returned to the studio. I told Melissa she overcharged me. She said, “You were looking at price in the middle of the computer screen weren’t you? That explains why you didn’t give me enough money.” I agreed, that’s where she’d been pointing when explaining the packages. She said that dollar amount was the savings for that package; the price was at the top of the screen. I said I hadn’t been comfortable paying $80 for these photos. I couldn’t spend over $100. I wanted her to change the package or cancel the order and refund my money. This was minutes after the session ended. She said she could do neither. She said the order had been placed and paid for and there was nothing she could do. I was shocked.

I called the store manager who said PictureMe rents space from Walmart, there was nothing she could do. I called PictureMe’s Customer Service three times. They said they don’t do refunds. I asked where no refunds is written on their adds or receipts. They said it’s not written. I was told I had the following options: a 50% refund, their advertisement said no sitting fee. I can’t understand how they can keep half my money if I get nothing, no photos, in return. I could get retakes but only at the same studio. I want my money back, I was pressured into buying a package I didn’t want and overcharged for it. I get no money back if they retake the photos. I asked if I could go to another of their studios since I was not happy with the photographer’s skills at this one. I was told I’d have to return to the same studio. The final option is to have my package reduced to an $80 package with considerably less photos and fewer poses. I was not happy when I thought I was paying $80 for the silver package, I’d be even more upset paying $80 for a bronze package containing much less. There was nothing more they would do.

This is my fourth child. I’d taken my first three to Walmart’s Portrait Studios many times. They always had excellent customer service. I had been very happy with the photos taken and my children and I enjoyed the sessions. In the past their customer service was excellent. I’d always been able to choose the pose for the advertised package. I’d also been able to choose which poses were purchased for an additional fee. I’d never been pressured into high price packages like this. Never had they done a bait and switch on me before. If a photo came back out of focus or with closed eyes they’d redone the session and thrown in a few extras. They were wonderful to work with.

I could not believe this new photographer’s lack of skill;, turns out she’s the manager of this Walmart’s studio! I could not believe the terrible customer service I experienced at the local studio and then from their Customer Service Phone Number. After this experience I don’t want to take any of my four children back to a Walmart Studio. I don’t even want to go back to Walmart I’m so upset with the whole experience that took place in their store. I’m warning friends and family to beware of Walmart’s Portrait Studios.

What was supposed to be a special event with my newborn, having his first photos taken, has turned into an absolute nightmare and a big regret; neither Walmart where it happened or the PictureMe Portrait Studio they rent the space to will do anything about it. Apparently it was PGA studios I had dealt with before. PictureME took over in Nov. 2007.

I registered this complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well and encourage others to do so.

It's not easy to please all the people all the time. We, at CPI, try.

Photography is an art. It is subjective. There are many schools that teach many styles of this art form. When hiring it is difficult to pick the person best suited to be a PictureMe photographer. Not all candidates can pass the the 40 hour/5 day training course. Not many get certified.

As your neighborhood studio transitions into the digital era there are those now in employment that might not pass the course. This is a very open field.

I also work for picture me and I love being able to give people wonderful memories. When it was PCA, they would give free packages and refunds for everything that someone complained about and guess what, they went bankrupt! First of all, no one can force you to buy anything, we are a sales oriented company that specializes in one of a kind products, which also means no refunds. You can't get a refund on wedding pictures or a custom tailored dress just because you were "tricked" into buying them! We have to adhere to policies so that we aren't run over by customers that only want practically free pictures. It blows my mind that we offer an introductory package for less than ten dollars that is worth over $70!

Maybe people shouldn't come to get pictures after a "tough day" and then take it out on the associate or the company. Granted there are some bad photographers out there, but you do have to approve the photo before it's saved, the parents are always in control! Buying 6 sheets is overpaying! That's $60 plus tax when the $99 will be all poses and a lot more sheets! Why would you want a sheet of all the poses if they were all "crummy"? I would assume that you would have gotten the intro package and left!

If a photographer takes bad pictures, then make that complaint to the company, but don't act like you don't have freewill to make the decision to not buy bad pictures!

Plus now that most studio's have gone digital, the quality is much better but the prices will reflect that. You still get the best deal at Picture Me, better than any other photography company.

And to comment on the girl not being able to pick up pictures, our policy is that you have to have a receipt to pick them up or id if it is in your name, you wouldn't believe how many times a grandma or divorced parent picked them up when it wasn't in their name (of course, they always were told to pick them up) and we can get in a lot of trouble, we aren't going to risk our job for something as serious as letting someone pick them up without a receipt!

I hate that anyone would get bad customer service but just with any consumer industry, "buyer beware"!

I was in New Mexico for a visit in March of this year and my daughter and I had the kids pictures taken and the woman had no different poises for these pictures. I paid for the pictures with my credit card and told the woman that I wouldn't be there to pick them up so my daughters name had to be on them so she could pick them up. Well my daughter went yesterday to pick them up and the other woman would not let her pick them up because she didn't have her I D. She went and got her ID and the woman still wouldn't let her pick them up. She then went to the store manager that told my daughter that they rent the space and the store couldn't do anything about it. That is fine. I work for Wal-mart. These people who work for these places need to talk to each other to let them know who is picking these pictures up so there is no hassle. These are very important pictures. We wouldn't have had them taken otherwise and we shouldn't have to be treated as if we were dumb. She will not go back for pictures. You need better trained people to take these pictures also.

PictureME Photography bad pictures, bad service!

My daughter and my granddaughter and i (mother and grandmother) went to the picture studio located at walmart store in oshkosh, wi. 54904. We had my granddaughters 3d birthday picture taken. We had her pictured with a party type thing, and about 4 other poses taken. The selections we asked for, we asked the photo person what she thought when we selected these back grounds and she said they were good. I only have i daughter and i grand daughter and one of the pictures they took together turned out horrible and most of them did to be honest. But my daughter had to put half down on the package we picked out which was $50 down payment. The rest of the package was $54. Well when they called and said the pictures were done and ready to picked up i couldn't believe it. None of them turned out except the initial package. Well i offered to take the initial package without the ones that didn't turn out and they said i couldn't. I would have to take it all or they could return them and give me all of the same initial package. I said why would i do that when we had 4 or so other poses done and one being with my only daughter and only grand daughter. Well i said then i want my money back and she said they do not do that. She said she will give me half of the $50 back and that is it. I said you mean if i don't want any i still have to give you half of the money and she said yes. She said i could call the corporate office if i wasn't satisfied. I asked her to please show me on my copy of the receipt or anywhere in the store where it says they only give half of the money back if you are not satisfied, and she went behind the cash register and picked a small piece of paper off the till drawer that says it. I said show me on my receipt or anywhere in the store that says it and she said she cant. So when i called the corporate office and explain all this she said she would let me have the pictures i wanted and would call walmart store and let them know and that she would get back to me. Well its a week later no one called and when i went in there she said nobody called her. this is the biggest rip off and the biggest scam i know. If any one else is interested, to sue these people let me know because that is what i intend to do.

I agree entiely! I went to the photo studio in my Walmart in Old Bridge, NJ for my daughter's 5th Birthday photos. The photographer tried very hard and took some nice photos (they looked good on the monitor) but had no customer service training or really common sense. He continued to take photos, more than the required amount, after I asked if we could speed things up TWICE. By two year old was crying on the floor and he was cheerfully suggesting more poses! I couldn't take it! Then they tried very hard to up sell me to a 79.99 $ package when I came in for the 4.88 $ introductory offer. They told me to come back on SEpt. 3rd, on the 3rd I was told that was a mistake . I was told to come back on the 10th, yesterday. There was no one there all day yesterday and Walmart employees told me they didn't know why and that it was adifferent company that they only rent space to. I retuned today at 5:35pm and the photo studio was CLOSED AGAIN! An assistant manager said that the woman had left at 5pm eventhough he admitted they store was supposed to be open untill 6pm. I'm furios and I still do not have my photos! Take your blood pressure medication before dealing with these people. They are unprofesssional and infuriating.

PictureME Photography late pics!

I had a similar experience with Picture Me Studios as I had taken my 8 week old daughter to get her first pictures taken. My mom told me to go to Sears, however I was able to get a quick appt so I thought I would take her to Picture Me Studios instead. I have heard fairly good things about the photographs in the past so i was like what the heck. I took my daughter on December 3rd and was informed the pics would be in on the 14th. I received a phone call from the studio only to inform me that her prints were messed up and that they had to be redone and that I should have her pictures by Xmas Eve. Okay now, I have no pics of the baby to send in Xmas cards (psssst). I never received a phone call until 12/27 telling me that her pictures were in and the funny thing is that I had to describe the pictures to the person on the phone then she proceeds to ask me how old was my daughter and then mentioned that she had pictures there of a colored baby wearing pink... I was like colored? What color? Complexion? This was amazing, you want to talk about unprofessional and offending. Believe me you don't have to worry about me going back. Furthermore, I went to pick up the pics again yesterday only to find out that the person that was on duty was unable to locate her pictures and was only able to find 3 20X24 pictures of my baby. Don't get me wrong the pic was absolutely gorgeous but this is ridiculous to have to go through this much drama over pictures. I understand you get what you pay for but come on...

If the employee is with a customer, they are NOT ALLOWED TO ANSWER THE PHONE. Were you calling, hanging up, and then calling again without leaving a message? Probably.

I worked at a picture me for four months, and it was the worst four months of my life.

Here's a Day in the Life of a Picture Me employee:

Clock in 15 minutes before opening time. Answer at least 3 questions from people who walk up to you while you are trying to clock in, despite the CLOSED sign and that the lights are all off.

Count the money in the till, while answering the phone 4 times before 10:00 and try not to lose count of the money.

Explain to the person on the phone the price on packages and photo options, like you will do for the 10, 000th time every day, because the company refuses to print out a price sheet which the customers could easily grasp.

Take photos of a cranky, hungry, clearly sleepy 2 month old baby while reminding mom the whole time that you are required for her to sit next to her baby the whole time for the child's safety. Try your best not to lose your patience when Grandma comes over and fusses over the baby's practically non-existent hair, using up the only possible 5 minutes before you completely lose the baby's ability to be still for a picture.

When showing the pictures, which is a step-by-step process in which you are required to constantly try to upsell the customer into more expensive options, try to pretend like you really enjoy bilking people out of their money, it is the only possible way to feel good about what you are doing when you know people only want the cheapest possible package.

The other side of that story is that the employee is paid a very low wage (in some cases minimum wage) and the company promises them more money based on their sales. The commission is the only way the employee ever makes any kind of money.

So unfortunately, if you walk in and tell me you only want the 7.99 package, I STILL HAVE TO TAKE 6-7 POSES AND TRY TO UPSELL YOU INTO THE MOST EXPENSIVE PACKAGE POSSIBLE.

I was a good employee, I came in with several years of photography, sales, and experience with children.

I showed up early every day, stayed late every night, kept a smile on my face no matter what, bent over backwards to make all customers happy (NOT POSSIBLE, BTW).

Was that good enough?

NOPE.

EVERY DAY these employees are threatened with the possible loss of their jobs. If you don't remind that mom to sit beside her child, you will lose your job. If you don't make at least 30 cold calls to customers today (the manager was supposed to make 10 calls a day on the previous 2 days that she worked, but she was "busy" and left you a note to do it instead) you will lose your job. If you don't take at least 6-7 poses you will lose your job. If you turn away any customer, you will lose your job. If you do not answer the phone, you will lose your job. If you do not take out the trash (manager too busy to do her portion of this, again... ) you will lose your job. If you do not drop everything and come in on your day off, you will lose your job. If you are closing the store up at 9:30 at night and a customer walks up and you turn them away, even though you closed at 7:00 (which never really happens) you will lose your job. EVERY SINGLE DAY I was threatened with the loss of my job.

Then came the Christmas season.

When I had worked 12 days in a row with no days off, yet my manager somehow managed to have fewer hours worked and plenty of days off, and I discovered bald spots from pulling out my hair from the stress of photographing a new customer every 15-30 minutes (you have to stay on time, despite the company allowing customers to schedule themselves for large groups even, every 15 minutes... ) and everyone wants 2 or 3 outfit changes and 3 or 4 different backgrounds and oh we want to try that one pose that Sally's baby had done (Sally's baby was a happy, sitting-up age baby, and their baby is a cranky, hungry, 2 day old baby that cannot support its head let alone sit up like Sally's baby...)

Customers come in with completely unrealistic expectations. If you have a newborn baby, you are going to realistically need the better part of an hour for your appointment. Not because the photography takes that long, it doesn't. The way newborns need constant attention, spit up, need feeding, need changing, need sleep, etc. Esp. if you want outfit changes and special poses.

And please, for the love of God, leave Grandma and Grandpa at HOME. They only get in the way, try to take over, and their constant negativity or comments do NOT help. Our studios are small enough as it is, and the more people and bodies you jam in there, the hotter it gets for everyone and the more nerve-wracked the mother and child become, making nice pictures impossible.

If you have a large group, schedule earlier, not later, in the day. Everyone always schedules groups of 10 or more at the last appointment of the day, when the photographer is tired, worn out, probably hungry because they probably are the only worker there and they were probably required to work through their lunch break. Then everyone wants ten different breakdowns of the family, one of Suzy in her christening gown, and wait, how about Suzy, grandpa, and Uncle Joe, but make sure it looks exactly like Uncle Joe's picture from 10 years ago... do you still have that background?

Anyone who has worked there for 1 day can tell you this is just the tip of the iceberg of what the employee puts up with.

They are told it is a photography job, and nothing could be further from the truth. This job is a wear-out-the-customer job so that you can get them to spend as much as humanly possible. All those screens on the computer, all those extras, I hated doing that. But guess what? If we skipped a step, we would lose our job.

Then came the day they made us imitate circus clowns. We had to stand outside the entrance, with a big Spin-The-Wheel thing, and try to grab any customer walking by, make them "SPIN TO WIN!" and try to get their business. I never in my life felt more like a circus monkey.

So because the company treats its employees so terribly, it is unable to maintain very many good employees, and esp. any employees over the age of 25. Most of the employees are young women straight out of high school.

So please take all this into consideration before you go to this place for your treasured family memories. And don't be surprised when what you pay for is what you get. When you walk in and decide you want the $7.99 deal, you are going to get about that much worth for your trouble. And you WILL have to wait your turn, for the love of God, would people stop complaining about a normal part of life.

If they messed up your daughter's pictures, why did you pay $200 for them when you ordered them? What you see on the screen is what you get. If you don't like the looks of it, don't order it.

Keep in mind that the photos are not developed at that store. They are being developed at a lab several states away. Mistakes happen at the lab. Also keep in mind Christmas is in winter. Winter storms also delay FedEx and UPS. Also this Photographer probably shot more than 12 other customers the same day you were in. Perhaps they shoot 10-19 customers a day during Christmas season. They're not going to automatically remember your child. They've seen hundreds of children who all look the same within the last three months. Your not special. Only you think your child is special. A stranger isn't going to remember with a frazzled schedule. Sorry that's just the truth. ### happens, deal with it.

PictureME Photography terrible service!

My experience is I went to pick up my pics last night at Goldsboro, NC and the lab didn't send one pose and one of the other poses were not right. I brought this to the attention of the employee not to mention she was the only one there, that one pose wasn't right and that it needed to be reordered with the other pose. She was very nice and sorry about the matter. I asked what I could do about getting them sent to a different location since I stay an hour away and she told me to call customer service. I tried call customer service last night could never get thru, so I tried calling again today. I stayed on hold for 30mins the first time before someone answered. When I explained my situation to the cust rep lady she told me, well you chose that location. Yes I did choose that location that is where the family that was been photographed lived, they weren't buying we were. Then the rep hung up on me. I called back and had to wait another 30mins before I got another rep. She was nice and tried to help me, time will tell.

This comment is directly to Devera, but I also wanted to let everyone else know too that the people who run Sear's Portrait Studios is a company called CPI Corporation out of St. Louis, Missouri. And believe it or not, they own all the Picture Me studios as well! I'm a former Picture Me employee, I should know. In fact, CPI is the reason for Picture Me going digital. So to assume that your portraits were going to turn out better because you went to Sear's is ludicrous! The problems she had was with the lab sending and labeling her portraits wrong, not with the stuido itself. All portraits from Sear's and Picture Me are coming from the same lab.

I always use Picture Me for my kids portraits, (ages 12, 8, and 5) and it still amazes me what Tricia (in the Amherst NH location) can get my three terrors to do! They have so much fun while we're there, and it definitely shows in the finished product.

I've tried all the other photography places in this area...Sears, Kiddie Kandids, Picture People, etc. and yes they have better equipment, and more options, but they don't have Tricia. I honestly believe it's the photographer that makes or breaks a business such as this.

She's advertising Digital going live on May 28th, so pretty soon she'll surpass the competition! Can you tell I recommend her to everyone? LOL

I have had a few problems in the past where one of the kids blinked, and I had to re-shoot, or the photo's coming back strange colors, but I was compensated, and the problem was fixed immediately. No muss, no fuss.

Again, its the photographer that makes the difference.

The studio in Cypress, TX is awesome. We just picked up our son's 9 month portraits and they are sooooo great! I am truly impressed. The $5.99 package deal is the best pose! He is smiling in all of them. The pictures also arrived a few days earlier than they said.

We had our portraits taken at a Picture Me Studio on Dec 31st. We were told by their employee that they would ship them to us as we live in a different state. We were there over Christmas seeing my stepson who we won't see again until Summer. Naturally we wanted our portraits taken while our daughter was still under 1 year of age. Anyway, I just called to see if our pictures were in and if they had been mailed. I was informed they don't mail pictures. Greatly upset by this I called customer service and asked if they could help me. The girl was very rude to me AND refused to let me speak to a supervisor. What ever happened to the customer is always right? I then called our local store to see if the pictures could be shipped from store to store and once again I was told no. Luckily my mother still lives there and has agreed to go pick them up and ship them to us. What would I have done if I didn't have anyone there locally? We are a military family and can't hop in the car and drive 12 hours away whenever we feel like it. All of this could have been avoided if I was told in the first place they don't ship pictures. We would have just gone to JcPenney!

Wow. It's a bit too much to expect Picture Me! to ship your portraits for free. They're already compensated you by reordering your prints. As for you living a good distance away, that not the studio's fault. You should have thought about that before you chose a studio that far from you. Obviously, this was out the studio's control and I'm sure the employee that serviced you did the best that she could to solve the situation so one can't really complain about the customer service.

I had a similiar experience with Picture Me Studios as I had taken my 8 week old daughter to get her first pictures taken. I never received a phone call until 12/27 telling me that her pictures were in and the funny thing is that I had to describe the pictures to the person on the phone then she proceeds to ask me how old was my daughter and then mentioned that she had pictures there of a colored baby wearing pink...I was like colored? What color? Complexion? This was amazing, you want to talk about unprofessional and offending. Believe me you don't have to worry about me going back. Futhermore, I went to pick up the pics again yesterday only to find out that the person that was on duty was unable to locate her pictures and was only able to find 3 20X24 pictures of my baby. Don't get me wrong the pic was absolutely gorgeous but this is ridiculous to have to go through this much drama over pictures. I understand you get what you pay for but come on. You can still obtain quality things at a low price but when is enough enough?

PictureME Photography poor customer service

I had a 7:30 pm appointment to have my daughters' pictures taken for the holidays. We showed up right at our appointment time and there was already a couple having engagement pictures taken. Not a big deal, we could wait. So we waited and waited and waited for OVER an HOUR! My children are ages 5 years and 16 months. When it was finally our turn the photographer (if you can call her that), Misty, apologized for our patience and began to position my kids. By this point my younger daughter is exhausted as it is almost 8:45 pm. So she begins taking pictures-none of which turned out because the younger one wouldn't smile at the camera (she isn't usually like this). At one point this lady had the nerve to tell me that I am just going to have to decide if I "want a big smile with her looking at me or a mediocre smile with her looking at the camera"! I cannot believe the horrible customer service we recieved. Finally I said this just isn't working, my kids are tired, and I know they can take better pictures than what she was taking. The lady then thought it would be important to ask me if I would like to go ahead and reschedule tonight! WTF?! My response to her was "No we will reschedule later...somewhere else!"

To the original poster... you're complaining that you had to wait *GASP* during the holiday season? LMAO... that's priceless.

Note to self for THIS holiday season. Book an early appt elsewhere. You're kids will respond positively, & the photographer will be fresh.

By the time she got to you, she still had a smile on her face, and attempted to entertain your children. That's after 12 hrs of whiney, sick, just got shots, haven't had a nap, needs to be fed/changed, stayed up to late, puked all over her last white rug, children - never mind the psycho parents who just won't give up, even when their kids are screaming and jumping off the table...who are under the mistaken impression that yelling at their children while being photographed will make them SMILE.

This photographer was still courteous, still polite, and offered you a resolution, after her 12 hr day from hell, where I'm sure she wasn't given a break. She just worked overtime to try to make you happy, and you repay her by INSULTING her? Then you add insult to injury by posting HERE. That's classic. all because her magic wand wasn't working that evening, and you had to wait a whole hour. Ah, the horror.

Please don't return. I'm sure she could do with one less ### in her day.

Me husband, my 2 kids and myself went before the Christmas holidays to have pictures taken. We have NEVER used Picture me photography we have ALWAYS gone to Olan Mills, but the last couple years I have not been satified with Olan Mills so I was ready to try something new and NEW it was! The photographer was HORRIBLE she stood there for 10-15 min visiting with her husband and her children and when they finally left all she did was complain about how she only got paid $8.00 an hour and that wasn't enough money to do what she did. SOmething I REALLY did NOT care about all I wanted was my family pictrues taken. Needless to say my family was very uncomfortable and our pictures were HORRIBLE. I spent $100. on Horrible pictures but family pictures was a big gift for my husbands family and we had NO time to go else were. I went 2 weeks later to pick up the pictures noone was there so i called a manager and she told me to go the next day someone would be there, so I go and the manager was there and I told her exactly what happened, got my pictures looked at them and they were even WORSE than what I had seen on the Computer, they were off center, half my daughters body was cut out of 1 of them it was a HORRIBLE experience and I told the manager this will NEVER happen again, i've been a Olan Mills customer for 11yrs and I think I will stick with them. SHe gave me the FEW pictures that came out of my package for free and gave me a free $100. coupon pkg. I told her thank you but I do NOT believe I will be using it even For FREE!

You're an idiot. It's not the studio's fault that customers (like yourself) take up much more time than needed. The employee was doing her job by taking portraits of whoever walks in the door.

As for your children being cranky, again, you're an idiot. Photographers are just that: photographers. Photographers can't magically make your children behave; that's your job. The employee did all that she could and even offered to reschedule for a better time for you. You REALLY need to be smarter about when you schedule your appointments. Seriously, 7:30 PM is late for taking any small child's pictures. Why on Earth did you make that dumb move?

So this is your second horrible experience with the same studio? Why did you go back after the first time? Why didn't you hire that private photographer?

I understand your angry, but it's no more the photographers fault that she was running late, then it is your fault for scheduling a late appt. with small children who have maybe a 15 min window for great portraits.

You opted to wait the hour. That was your choice. You made your children wait. The photographer did the best she could with what she had to work with, and if you feel differently, pay the private photographer next time.

Young children tend to get tired out late at night. Unfortunately, sessions do tend to run behind schedule from time to time, as happened with the customer before you (and possibly one or two more before you arrived which ran the newleyweds behind). To have a better chance of the session being "on time" a morning appt would have been better. Also little ones tend to photograph better earlier in the day. A 7:30 p.m. appt time for small children? The studio is open 7 days a week starting at 9 a.m. Could you not have planned for a better time for your kids instead of blaming the photographer for the children being exhausted children at bedtime? I don't know how long she had worked with your kids but I'm assuming she wasn't requesting a pleasant expression or reschedule within the first ten-fifteen minutes... that she had truly tried. 8:45pm she was already 45min after she was supposed to have closed for the day after a 12hour day and I didn't see where you said she was complaining about it but trying to be professional and work with your kids.

I went to pick up my son's pictures from there studio located in Harker Hieghts, Texas, and the lady that was at the register was very rude and ignored me, and continued to her phone conversation, I waited there 20 minutes before she got off the phone, and when she finally did, she gave me my pictures, and I was going through the whole package and it wasn't all of the pictures, so I told her that they need to have all my pictures if she expects for me to pay the remaining balance. She told me that she was going to re-order them and re-assure that they were going to be there in 2 weeks. I called the customer service after I left the studio to report them, and told them everything what happened. I was told that since they messed up the packet order, that I was going to get compensated, by not having to pay the remainder balance of the pictures and I can go pick up the pictures when they were ready. I went up there on Monday, and the same lady was on the phone and this time, she had totally ignored me and walked away from the cash register like I wasn't even in existence. I had an appointment that day, so I didn't have much time. So, I went back yesterday to pick up my pictures and a lady that works there by the name of Samantha refuses to give me any pictures that were in for me and got a very nasty attitude with me, because she knew she was in the wrong, I could have gotten nasty back with her, but it was too late and I just wanted my son's pictures, and still didn't get them. I refuse to ever go back to that studio and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go there either, they don't even take that good of pictures. They have another photo studio in that area and it's located in Killeen, Texas in Oh' Mart called Photo Depot and they do an excellent job, the prices are cheaper and you get all your pictures with an hour's time frame or less, pending on how busy they are, plus they are real friendly and know how to take infant pictures..

PictureME Photography lost pictures

On October 27th, 2007, my husband and I went to the nearest Picture Me (Super Walmart) Studio. We had to drive fourty-five minutes to go to this studio, and upon arrival, was told that we would have to wait an hour to an hour and a half, due to appointments. Fine. We let this slide and walked around WalMart for awhile. Finally, our time came to get our pictures taken, and the "photographer" was very unprofessional. Her hair was dirty and unkept, her clothes were filthy. She looked very sloppy. I figured I wouldn't let this bother me, and hoped that her photography skills were better than her dressing skills.

She asked us to choose which background drop we wanted to use, and when we chose one, she informed us that it was broken. So we had to choose another one. We were not prepared for this.

During the time that she was shooting us, she treated us like children. And rushed us to decide if we wanted to buy any extra pictures. We did. Out of six shots, two of them turned out great. And the package wasn't one of them, but we didn't have a choice.

Today, November 14th, I recieved a phone call from the studio, informing me that they needed to schedule us another shoot. When I questioned the girl why, she didn't have any answers. So I set up the appointment and called the Customer Service number. The Customer Service representative was extremely rude, and told me that the reason I had to have my pictures retaken is because the studio I went to switched from film to digital pictures right after I had my picture taken there.

I called the studio back and spoke with the manager and she informed me that the customer service representative lied to me. The studio had not switched to digital yet, and that the film company that they use is upset because they're all losing their jobs once all of the studios are switched to digital, so they're ruining film when they get it and ruining pictures as well.

This was an acceptable answer, and the manager told me that she recommended me going to a digital studio, where I was guaranteed my pictures and that she was giving me a $79.99 picture disc for free, so I could print out the pictures at my own free will.

Finding a digital studio close to home was difficult. The closest one is an hour and a half away, but hopefully it will be worth the drive.

The main reason I am so upset about this is that these pictures are my "wedding" pictures. My husband and I are on a tight budget, and wanted something memorable, but cheap. I'd used Picture Me Studios in the past and never had a problem with them. I am appalled at the problems I'm having this time around and will probably hire a private photographer for my childrens' Christmas pictures.

Danielle,
Your job is your choice and it's your responsibility to take care of customers and their needs. If you don't like it the simpliest way will be to leve and go selling news paper or even something easier in your option. So don't bother with stupid excuses and move on with your career. I guarantee you that a lot of customers will be glad you are gone and the new ones newer had to be angry by dealing with your maners.

PictureMe photographers the ones who stay, mostly managers, are wonderfull people who deal day to day with the bull-### from customers like you people who think we owe them the world because we are in a service industry. We have wonderfull customers who look at people like you that make a scene in front of God and everyone when you dont get your way. It is not our fault that some reject in the lab cant do his job. It hurts us just as much when your photos get ruined because they are not only your photos but they are ours too. We are the ones who work our behinds off that hour or what ever to get your children who dont know how to listen to proper direction to sit down and say cheese or even pay attention for two seconds, or those of you who dont know how to give your child a nap before bringing them for for petes sake coming in at 6pm or later to have your small childs photos made and they are falling asleep on the table. We try, and whey we get good shots we love them too. We are a part of making memorys for your family. And of course like every business you get those who do not give 2 cents about what they are doing, but when we as managers see that if we can not fix it we give them the boot because We dont want bad photographers working for us either.

But, if I were a walmart executve I would be very ineted i the types of buinesses allo into my store. Even if they are not walmart affiliates, people will associate th rented store with walmart. So walmart should be inteested inhow customers aretrated in rented stores that are in is building.

Photography is Art. Art is subjective. And when your neighborhood studio is converted to digital capabilities. Your arm would be digitally removed.

Technology is swift in advancement. The electronic boom has become of age and our customers and staff will blossom and have a better experience all the way around when all studios have their Nikon cameras and associate are trained to use them. And for once, our corporate sponsors can watch you the customer have your portraits made with our new in-studio cameras, so smile.

We hire very experienced photographers. But we also hire Mom's who like to take pictures of babies, children and like working with groups of people. We train new aspiring photographers and work with those who struggle.

Not everyone is versed in cultural differences, has a college degree, traveled the world or made the best choices in life. Your photographers are former teachers, nurses, administrators, police officers, waiters and waitresses, disc jockeys and one princess from an European country.

We do not hire everyone who applies for a position. We feel we choose individuals whom can best capture images you, our valued customer, will love. We, as a member of your community, give you the best product and service from people living in your community. We try, like you at your job, to do our very best every day.

When we fail to give you what you expected, we do our best to fix it. There are a variety of ways we can to this.

I would ask that you give us the opportunity to provide you a product and service at a price you can afford.

With warm est regards

I took my grandson for his pictures and on the reciept my hand was not showing (as you must sit next to your baby and hold their shirt so they don't tip over) and on the screen screens my hand was not showing but when I picked up my prints ...there is my arm, under the blanket, for the price of these extra prints -they should look like the proof screen, I would have never purchased that pose if I knew that looked like that.

I understand your point of view and your disappointment with not getting your original portraits but I think that often times, our customers want to assume that we, as PictureMe employees are behind problems with their portraits because they simply do not have anyone else to blame. Yes, sometimes portraits may have a flaw caused during photography but other problems such as bad coloring, cropping of certain parts of the image, etc. are often times problems that arise during the developing of your portraits. Those are things that we have no control over. We do our job and take great portraits for you. We love our work just as much as our satisfied customers so we would never purposfully do anything to mess them up. I think a few bad experiences are going to happen but I ask all who read this to please understand that not all PictureMe employees are untrained, sloppy, and disrespectful, all things I have read throughout the complaints I have seen. I personally take great pride in my work as do many others so please, don't let this negativity be your deciding factor when choosing to come to our studios. Give us a shot to prove we are not all the same.

First off, it isn't a "Wal-Mart" company. Picture Me rents space from them, just like the bank, or the nail salon. You don't get what you pay for with them... you get more. The fact that there are idiots anywhere you go isn't the fault of the company as a whole.

Airing dirty laundry about associates who work within a particular studio is uncalled for, and childish.

It sounds like someone exposed that roll of film, or the lab lost your portraits. Good luck with the digital, free disc. Make sure the manager of the studio who originally took your photo's calls the manager of the one your going to, so that he/she is aware this shoot is a customer service issue, to avoid any more frustration.

You've been happy with this company in the past, and know this isn't an all the time occurrance. Considering the time of year you went, I'd say they hired a "Body" for the holidays.

I'm sorry it was so unpleasant.

I like how people expect top service from a Wal-mart company. You're paying 79$ and wanting 200$ photo-like quality... How many cells did it take for you to figure that out?

DUH.

I had pictures of my daughter taken on 9/8/07. I was told they would be ready 9/28/07. I paid for them in full at the time the pictures were taken. (Lesson #1 - won't do that again!). When I picked up the pictures on the expected date, one of the poses had a big white spot on the side of my daughters head, where her hair should be. I pointed it out to...

PictureME Photography very rude manager

When I made my appointment at Wal-Mart (Wasilla Alaska 3:30 pm – 10/13/07) I made it one for me and one for my mom. When I got to Wal-Mart they told us we could not have two appointments. The then was very rude. I always thought that the customer was always right.

She complained when requesting other backgrounds. Changes seemed to aggravate her more. We went in to the room to take the photos and the lady again was rude to the kids. We could not get them to smile after that. She had very gruff and rude mannerism. If I had a manager in my store like her, I would "FIRE HER".

The associate in the Wal-Mart store stated that this is not the first time she has heard that happening in this store.

Why has this not been addressed in the past.

Why is it not alright to only spend $5.99 when that is the advertised package?

She was again rude when being asked about the disk to the pictures.

She very rudely stated that it was included in the $100.00 picture.

We explained that we did not have enough for a $100.00 package.

I can be reached at [protected] Andrea or my mom Linda @ [protected]. We are still not thrilled with the pictures we took.

I want to make this very clear guys, WalMart and Picture Me Portrait are separate things. Picture Me has the studio space in WalMart, yes, but they are NOT part of the company.
I don't mean any disrespect, but it has nothing to do with WalMart except that they're in the same building.

I agree that she needs to be counseled with her attitude with the customers, not fired. She chose to be in the profession working with all different personalities and different cultures working at a Wal-Mart. Let’s not forget there are other career fields endure highs and lows in regards with pay i.e. construction and other seasonal work such as the fishing industry. If you are not happy where you work you should choose to work somewhere else! Maybe consider a different profession and not take it out on someone that is a paying customer and trying to have a good day with there family or friends. The picture that you are paying for should have good memories not the stench of a bitter camera bitty. I feel bad for her.

For what its worth.

I agree that one of the photo ladies is abrupt and rude. So as many years her elder, I gently asked her why she behaves as she does. She explained she is manager; gets only a very small hourly wage, the Dec. photos on which she would have made her commission, came too late and she had no chance to earn any money. She almost broke down and cried. There was nothing wrong with her work. It was very good. She got the three of us 'right' with the first shot. She did however grumble about our choice of backgrounds. I offered that we could change if it really made a big difference to her. She said that one type of background was much harder to place several people so that the photo came out well. We did not change. Yes, she does indeed need some type of intervention while she starves.

I agree with you. I went n got my senior pictures done at picture me. But the lady who took my pictures was very polite. Its when I went back two weeks later to see if my pictures have gotten in yet, it was a different lady and she was very very rude. All I asked was a simple question and she kinda like flipped out like I was asking for a million dollars! I agree with you. She needs to be fired if she cant work well with others when thats part of her job.
