I've been living at my place for a little over a month now, and the folks over at Planned Development Services (PDS) here at Tapatio condominiums are giving me a hard time about getting a parking permit. They're saying it's because of how my car looks. Now, their parking rules are pretty clear - they don't allow residents to have parking permits for commercial vehicles. But I've given them all the necessary documents to prove that my car is not a commercial vehicle, and they still won't give me a permit. And to top it off, the PDS office won't even talk to me because I'm just a tenant. I just want some help getting my parking permit like any other resident would.

On Saturday December 4th I complained to Planned Development Services (PDS) about the damage done to my community's wall by the landscapers. I've been trying for more than 45 days to find out when they will fix it. But even now, on day 51, I still don't know when they will start the repairs. At first, our PDS person said they couldn't find someone to give a price (over 30 days), then they got a price and are waiting for approval (over 7 days since I last heard anything). The whole process has been frustrating because our representative doesn't communicate well, and I have to keep asking for a response. All I want is for the repairs to be done.
I was out of work for 6 months and I got a letter and a fine saying I didn't have the right number of plants in my front yard
I was out of work for 6 months and I got a letter and a fine saying I didn't have the right number of plants in my front yard. I told the manager and she gave me a deadline of 5/2022 to fix the problem. I finally found a job in May and asked her if I could extend to *** to save money for the plants. She said no, and since then I've gotten two more fines and a certified letter saying I have to pay for the service. *** doesn't think about the current economy we're dealing with, and I've never been late with my monthly payment fee for HOA. They're inflexible and don't care about homeowners who are having financial difficulties. I left a message for the assistant manager to call me back and it's been 3 business days with no call. They're not professional and I wish I could move out of the neighborhood.

This company has been telling us what we can do to our own home
This company has been telling us what we can do to our own home. They cause stress to homeowners. We pay a lot of money to own our homes and they harass us. They want you to request to do certain things to your home and never respond. I paid a contractor to paint my house, but he's been waiting for weeks and they still haven't gotten back to me. This company is not fair. They tell you to do certain things, but others in the neighborhood don't have to do them. They tell me I can't paint my door a certain color, but I picked that color from them and others in the neighborhood have it. This company is all over the next-door app, driving people crazy by sneaking around and taking pictures. It feels like we live in a communist world. Please make this neighborhood fair for everyone! I want to warn others who are considering buying a house in this neighborhood to think twice about this management company.
I'm currently stuck dealing with the hoa and it's been a nightmare
I'm currently stuck dealing with the hoa and it's been a nightmare. I can't even talk to them because of some legal order, so I have to go through their lawyer. But when I email the lawyer, he never responds properly. When I talked to him in person, he said everything would be on hold until I could attend the board meetings in person. The problem is, there haven't been any meetings for almost 2 years, so I still haven't been able to talk to the board. It's frustrating because I can't do anything with my backyard. I don't have the money, and it's taking a toll on my mental health. On top of that, my car broke down over the summer, and I had to spend over two thousand dollars fixing my old car. The hoa gave me a hard time about it for two years, even though it's now fully compliant. They just keep harassing me. Recently, a tree fell and damaged the side of my house. I'm struggling to take care of the few trees I have, and now I have to deal with the damage caused by the fallen tree. I feel so helpless. I can't even add any extra landscaping. I don't know what to do.
lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications going on between me and the HOA
lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications going on between me and the HOA. They keep making false statements in response to my complaint. One of their claims is that I refuse to attend board meetings, but that's not true. I actually can't participate in online or phone call meetings due to my circumstances. I was informed that my case would be heard when the meetings resumed, but it seems like they didn't receive that message. It's frustrating because they have a cease-and-desist order, yet their attorney has been ignoring me. I've sent him multiple emails, but he never responds. It's getting really tiresome.
Another issue is that the HOA has accused me of making threats, which led to their attorney getting involved. That's simply not true. There has never been any law enforcement action taken against me regarding PDS. They really need to stop spreading that false information. However, I did mention the possibility of taking legal action, which is the appropriate course of action. Unfortunately, they retaliated by involving their attorney.
Overall, there are several misunderstandings and lack of communication between me and the HOA. It's frustrating to deal with their false statements and lack of response from their attorney. I hope these issues can be resolved soon.
People have been suffering during this pandemic
People have been suffering during this pandemic. People are unemployed, people are behind on bills, and other people are worried about getting sick. While these times are difficult, most businesses have stepped up to help people. But what does our HOA do? They have decided that there needs to be increased enforcement of the landscaping, not just in the front yards, but also in the backyards of the community. On top of that, they have increased dues from $55 to $60, which is the third time they have done so within the last year and a half. They are asking people to plant trees, add shrubs, and put grass in their backyards, all while people, including myself, are just struggling to get by during the pandemic. They issued me yet another fine, putting me in a tight position. I filed an appeal, but I heard nothing. Then they denied the appeal or left it in limbo, and they stiffed me for the fine. Last year, I reached out to our manager about a weed notice and asked for assistance, as the notices state that if a homeowner needs time to contact management, they should note the account. I emailed our manager, but I heard nothing. Then the warning turned into a fine, and even though I had a legitimate appeal, they still stiffed me for the $25.00, and they were hell-bent on getting that money from me. I'm tired of this. This is not appropriate for the HOA to be doing increased enforcement during the pandemic. In fact, they should be helping people, but instead, they are making it more difficult. I am in no position to do landscaping in my yard, and they used the pandemic as an excuse to cancel in-person board meetings, so I can't even speak with anyone. They should stop doing enforcement of people's yards immediately, unless it is an extreme situation that affects the community. But this is highly inappropriate for the HOA to be doing this during this time. They will be doing inspections this week, and they will probably stiff me with another fine, even though I have communicated with them numerous times.
I can't handle the harassment from the HOA anymore
I can't handle the harassment from the HOA anymore. I contacted them when my neighbor threw trash like dirty diapers, underwear, and glass beer bottles into my backyard. Another neighbor parked on the street for years and let their dog pee and poop in my front yard, leaving poop stains on my walkway. Their youngest son even smoked pot in the front yard multiple times. It's frustrating because when a neighbor allows their dog to poop and pee in the front yard, it spreads diseases and ticks. My dog, who stayed inside and in the backyard, had ticks for years, possibly because of the neighbors' negligence. My dog lost weight and coordination in her hind legs, eventually losing complete use of them. I had to put her down due to her age, but her condition may or may not have been caused by ticks. I couldn't even keep my dog outside because of this issue. However, when I contacted the HOA about weed problems, they ignored me. And when I reached out to them about the severe issues, I received a violation instead of them. They claim there's nothing they can do, but they've been harassing me for years. They constantly bothered me about my car, to the point where I had to physically go to the PDS office and beg for help. Meanwhile, the neighbor who lets their dog poop in the front yard has two garaged vehicles in their driveway. Additionally, people were hunting and shooting rifles behind the property line, right next to the green belt, and the HOA did nothing about it. The HOA has increased dues by more than 20% in just the past year. I shouldn't have to deal with this harassment anymore. If it's not resolved, I'm prepared to take legal action against the HOA. I won't tolerate being harassed when all I'm trying to do is seek help.
Planned Development Services has been aggressively pursuing and issuing violations during a tough time for people, with the pandemic and high
Planned Development Services has been aggressively pursuing and issuing violations during a tough time for people, with the pandemic and high unemployment. I received an email from the HOA stating that they would be doing walkthroughs of backyards with wrought fences. I've lived in the community for 6 years, and my yard has remained the same without any violations. So why are they suddenly going after people now? I cleaned up my yard before the walkthrough, but I still received a violation because they felt I didn't have enough trees and shrubs. I want to make it clear that I'm unemployed and can't afford to plant sod or add trees and shrubs. I don't even have a working water supply in the backyard. How do they expect me to do anything, especially during a pandemic and a recession? It's frustrating that when I complained about my neighbors throwing trash in my yard, they did nothing. But now they're patrolling backyards. It's gone too far. Instead of focusing on important issues like street parking and safety, they're invading people's privacy. I can only keep the grass trimmed and the yard free of debris and weeds. Forcing someone to redo their backyard is unreasonable, especially when many of us are unemployed and struggling. They should be targeting extreme cases like overgrown weeds or lawn gnomes, not going after people without grass or shrubs. I believe they're doing this because of budget constraints caused by the pandemic, but they should be working with people instead of making our lives difficult. When we need the HOA, they're never there, but they choose who and what to go after. Enough is enough. I simply can't deal with this right now.
