I had West Title do my title serch but they only did a title serch on half of my house and said I had a good title. So half of my house doesn't even sit on my property but West Title said everything is good. Dont use them. They will NOT help get anything resolved. They will just say there is nothing they can do even if you have a bad title like I have. I cant sell or refinance my house due to the bad title.

West Title was the buyers titling company during the recent sale of my home. The buyers closed on the house at 10am on a Friday. I was told the money from the sale of the home would be wire transferred to my account that day. I didn’t see anything and called my agent around 3pm on Friday. She called West Title and the told her they missed the wiring deadline for the day and I would see it on Monday morning. Monday morning came and went. I called and complained. The lady on the phone was nice and explained that she “just” put the transfer through (not on Friday as I was previously told). I’m writing this on Monday. I called my bank. They still have no record of the transfer. Chase mortgage says that my mortgage on the hose has not been paid off yet. I am living in a truck waiting for the money to come through. The buyers of my home (represented by West Title) got to move in on Friday. I’m homeless, gave up the house to the buyer, and have not seen a dime. I am certain the payment will eventually go through. However, West Title has caused me some hardships here. The unfortunate part is, the buyer that chose West Title to represent them doesn’t know any of this. They are likely enjoying their new home while I am waiting on their money so I can pay for my new home. Would not recommend.

This is a review for Westtitle on Hwy 7. It doesn't seem to have its own review page. On Oct 7, 2020, I closed on a townhouse I sold to MN Holding Co., LLC. The proceeds I had wired to my bank. According to my documents, the amount wired to my bank was $200 plus dollars less than the amount shown on the Final ALTA Settlement Statement. I have asked Westtitle more than 3 times why this is the case. Westtitle has not provided an answer. When I asked the CEO of Westtitle why this was, she said I can't get credit for the association dues because I didn't pay them. The reason for the mention of association dues is the property I sold was a townhouse and I paid association dues. I received an email for Dec. association dues from the association which I shouldn't have. Anyway, I said I didn't want credit for the association dues, the association wants to be paid. She said a member of her staff would call me if I needed further explanation. I sent an email to this staff member and said I'd have to accept the $200 plus loss because no one was telling me anything. I would like to point out that the CEO of Westtitle on Hwy 7 is the person who handled my closing. When I tried to contact her, she didn't have the decency to respond. In conclusion, I would say I don't think I got every dollar I should have. We went round and round about who paid the taxes on the property. I told the CEO I did, she said she would check some website to see if they were paid. I paid the taxes Oct 1. The closing was Oct. 7. I notified Westtitle the payment was posted on 10-10 and it cleared the bank on 10-27. It's now 11/19 and I have not been reimbursed for my half of the taxes. If you are buying or selling, use a different title company if at all possible.
