strange withdrawals on my debit card
I have noticed some strange withdrawals on my debit card, which seemed unaccounted for.
A check thru' my bank statements for the past five months linked back to the 18th of September 2018 when I'd made a one-time payment of £7.64.
These were followed by payments of :-
£52.06 on the 2nd October 2018
£53.36 on the 1st November 2018
£53.21 on the 3rd December 2018
£53.61 on the 30th December 2018
Additionally, an attempt was made to charge me a further £53.10 today, which my bank flagged up and stopped.
I have absolutely no idea what theses payments are for.
There was no indication when I made the one-time payment on the 18th September 2018 that I was subscribing to anything. I had no idea I was subscribed to anything during these past four months. All I got was a free cheap sign. I got absolutely nothing for these £200 plus quid.
In addition, there was no email (I have been thru' my emails from around the 18th September 2018) detailing the so-called subscription, and never once in these five months when the payments were taken did I receive at least a cursory email to tell me that £53 quid had been taken from my account. Not only was I not told that I was subscribed to ‘something' (I still have no idea what it is that I was supposed to be subscribed to). I was even denied the opportunity to opt out of whatever it was.
This feels very much like I‘ve been scammed by Platinum Millenium Publishing. As a writer myself, on irregular income, I think it is quite despicable that your site purports to want to help writers, but tries to scam them instead, using fine-print, and long-winded clips that no one sees till the end. I will be warning other writers to beware of this site.
I would like a full refund please: otherwise I will have to say, I've been scammed by this site.
I have an amount on my credit card which is not authorised
I have checked my statement and have found an amount of £55.21 was taken from my credit card on 29th December. The only thing I have ever had from this company is a free book so why this amount. Also I know I didn't make any transaction on that day because it is the day that my mother died. I certainly wasn't purchasing things on the internet. I have taken a screenshot of the transaction, I would appreciate a full refund forthwith.
unauthorised charges
I made a purchase sometime around august or september and nothing beyond that. Somehow, I've been charged $67.73 on November 21st without my authorization. I haven't made any online purchases with my visa since the one in November, because due to my current unemployment, I've been careful with spending wisely the money I have left. I had to cancel my previous Credit Card and now I'm forced to do transactions with a banking app, because I don't even have a card to withdraw money from the bank.
taken unauthorised a$93.72 and a$95.34.
I authorised ONE payment of US$8. They took TWO huge payments:
A$93.72 November 16th ref 186-6/752/99NCUS
and A$95.34 October 19th. ($67.73US$) ref67-73USD17/10NC
They also, correctly, took A$11.20 (US$7.95) and a fee of A$1.39 October 5th. Ref [protected] 3/10
I need two refunds.
I have told my bank.
This site seems to demand more info saying this submission is too short. Not sure what else is needed. My name is Joan Lockwood, my address is 7, McDonald Street, Dinmore Qld Australia 4303, and the relevant credit card they used ends in 0674. They clearly have the full number themselves.

October 19th A$95.34 taken from my visa card (ending in 0674) which was unauthorised.
I had ordered a book about plots, for US$7.95, and this money was quite correctly taken from my visa account October 5th, reference PM866-752-9968 3/10 NC A$1.39 and US$7.95, A$11.20.
A further unauthorised A$93.72 was taken from my account Nov 16th, ref, 186-6/752/99NC US.
All these payments showed on my bank statement as Platinum Millenium Publi.
All I ordered was a book for US$7.95. If I was supposed to un-tick something I never saw it.
I am 73 years old, small income, and a heart condition. I cannot cope with this outright attack on my finances.
Please return the A$93.72 and A$95.35 asap.

Hi Joan. I am so sorry that you were charged for a membership that you did not want.
We do offer our customers a YES or NO trial to our membership when they order certain items from us. You have the option of saying NO if you do not wish to join the PWA membership program. We are totally transparent about it on our web page, and you are not forced into joining.
Our membership program is packed with content that a lot of authors and writers such as yourself find to be extremely beneficial to them.
We do offer you a free, 14-day trial to read the content, watch the videos, consume the newsletters and listen to the insider interviews. As stated on our website and within the terms, if the trial is not canceled after the free 14 day trial period, you are then charged for the membership, which you can still cancel at any time and receive a full refund.
Again, this is not a membership that you are forced to take. IN fact, to be totally transparent on all of our order pages you will see a very visible “No Thanks” option that will NOT put you into our membership, perhaps you overlooked it.
Again, I am so sorry for this mistake and want to make things right with you in whatever way I can, including providing you with a full refund if you wish.
I would like to try to make up for you not being satisfied and look forward to speaking with you and I hope you have a great day!

unauthorized credit card charge
I have ordered one item from Writers.org which is behind the PLATINUM MILLENNIUM PUBLIS, but just a little bit later, I have noticed a much larger unauthorized charge on my credit card account (67, 73 USD).
I was really shocked because I most certainly did not give approval for this amount!
I would like to cancel any of the so called "memberships" or any other approvals they might say they got from me, because I did not authorize anything like that.
I haven't seen anything on their web pages about this membership and I am so disappointed.
I have written to their customer support mail twice already, but I haven't received any responses from them yet.
This is a big cost for my budget. I don't know what to do?

charge on my visa for “free” sign
I bought a course from Writers Life and it asked if I wanted a "free" sign. Turns out, that sign came from a company called Platinum Millenium Publishing And it has cost me 67.73 so far. Unfortunately, you can't comtact them. I noticed somewhere the name Ty Cohen involved with the Platinum Millenium Publishing Company, so I tried to contact him. I finally found a place in one of his platforms that said Contact Us but the page had been removed. My credit card company was good enough to take the charge off, but I'm afraid they'll charge me again. What if this is some kind of monthly thing? I emailed Writers Life but they haven't gotten back to me. I'll no longer deal with either company again! Do I have to change my card to stop them from getting and more of my money?

amount of 67 dollares charged from my credit card with no reason
As many other people here I experienced as well an unauthorized charge from my credit card. To my total suprise I was charged yesterday 67 dollares for something I do not remember to have ordered. I remember that I was interested in some freebies and that I gave them my card details for a shipping fee / courses which were almost gratis. There was nowhere mentioned that I had to pay such a high amount for exactly nothing in return! Right now from the comments here I learned that the charge me for a strange membership that I never wanted.
Right now I will inform my bank that I will not pay, not this amount not any further. Apparently it is not nearly that transparent as the seller claims, as I was not conscious about contracting a membership of whatsoever neither I was willing to. For the simple reason that I don´t need it and never did. I hope the case is solved and my money will be refunded as soon as possible.
I've had exactly the same.
By the amount of people saying it's not transparent I would say that the site needs a good eye test for all involved.
I too have made sure no further payments will be made but still have had no response from the company itself.
I am however getting my credit card company to review the practice as they set up a mock account for a "free" product and they themselves say it's not clear...
unknown service
I have been charged 59.91 Euros for something I have never signed up to. What can be done about this? There was a free CD about writing books but I never signed up for anything else. I am very careful about such things. I had to submit my card details to pay for shipping and I subsequently received the CD. I have had no further communication with this company
unauthorized credit card amount deduction 67.73$
I have no idea who this company is. I never bought anything from them. My credit card info was leaked to this site. $67.73 was deducted from my Citi bank credit card. When i called the Credit card customer care agent, he is telling that i made a purchase on 16th October and gave them my card details for recurring deduction of amount on 30th October which I never made. This is completely fraud. Please help me out.

overcharge for writers life 'plot generator'
My name is Joan Lockwood, address 7 McDonald Street, Dinmore, Queensland 4303 Australia. A few weeks ago I ordered a Writers Life book, Plot Generator for $7, which I paid for on my visa debit card, number ending 0674.
I was rather horrified to see a debit dated 17th October 2018, for A$ 95.25.
Even with exchange rates and postage, US$7 cannot reach such a figure - I had guessed a maximum of up to A$20 with postage, or much less.
Please let me know what is going on, and refund the difference.

extra charges to my credit card
Please discontinue this service at this time. I did not request to keep having charges on my account. I ordered one time and keep getting charged for things I did not order. If this does not get resolved within the next week, I will call my credit card and tell them not to charge money from this company. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely

unauthorised deductions from my credit card.
On 8/8/18 I purchased online an ebook for US$47. That is ALL. I did not subscribe to anything. I did not SEE any thing about a subscription or further payments.
After seeing an authorised deduction from my credit card, I emailed oon the same email as above, toSTOP ALL FURTHER PAYMENT DEDUCTIONS.
21/9/18 A further US$67, 73 (AUD 96.15$), is deducted.
My research online shows many complaints about UNAUTHORISED deductions being made by this company.
I am demanding a refund of 135.46$ IMMEDIATELY. I have no idea what You are claiming I have subscribed to, or bought.
This complaint had been registered on line, and with my bank.

charges on my card account
I do not remember buying anything from them, they certainly do not appear in my email list or on my payment system.
I do not know from whom and from where they got my card details but they started with a very small amount of under one euro, they then built up amounts monthly to a Euro 50 to 60 amount.
My bank did not stop my card so I am nearly 700.00 out of pocket.
This site is so crooked it stinks they should all be in jail
Total con, Never buy from them or any of their affilates.
Ty Cohen is supposed to be the owner, I advise everyone never have anything to do with him or buy anything from his or his affiliates.
unauthorized charge - sept 5, 2018
I did make 3 small purchases from the WritersLife.org site. But then on Sept 5, 2018 an unauthorized charge of $91.70 was made. I am attempting to contact them and my bank to resolve. This charge also was made with no email confirmation unlike the first charges so it appears to be fraudulent and I will be seeking full refund once I make contact with the office.
unauthorised card charges
Today I looked at my mobile banking app and all of a sudden my account has been charged £53.39 on the 17th of August 2018. Now I ordered and received a small pendant from your company at the charge of £7.66 but that was two weeks ago and since then I have not ordered anything from your company. Judging by other complaints made on this website, I am most certainly assured that you are a scam despite the fact that I received the necklace I ordered and can assure you that I did not click "YES" on anything else when I ordered the necklace so there is no reason for you to query me on that. Now I would appreciate being refunded the exact amount that I did not pay willingly because I don't have much money and I am certainly not stupid enough to pay £53.39 for any one single item. I will be going to my bank at some point in the next month to discuss the payment, so I suggest you do the refund quickly before I manage to do something about it.
Update on my issue: I just received an email which has informed me that my money will be refunded within 7-10 business days. Apparently, the bad quality piece of cardboard of a sign was my way of subscribing to the premium membership.
While Visiting the USA in May of this year.I visited this site to find out what is was all about. Since then my Debit card has been debited each month for $137:41 Barbados. That is from May to November. I'm requesting that this money of over $800 B'dos be refunded to my account.

unauthorised deduction made from my account today 13th august 2018
Today - August 13th, 2018 there was an unauthorized point of sale withdrawal by your company, Platinum Millennium [protected] to HSBC Card #3014 for the amount of $ 67.73. I have not had any business dealings with your company since ordering one item from the Writer's Life org. That was months ago. I have not yet received the hard copy that was ordered alongside the soft copy order.
I did not knowingly accept any subscription services with your company. There was not noted fine print deal at the time of order, and if so it was done without transparency and honesty.
As such I immediately withdraw and resign from it.
a) I request a full refund of 67.73 USD to my account immediately.
b) You have no authorisation whatsoever to withdraw any further amount from my HSBC credit card ending in #3014
c) I withdraw all membership from Platinum Millenium Publishing and thus also Writers Life.org.

Hi Maria. I am so sorry that you were charged for a membership that you did not want.
We do offer our customers a YES or NO trial to our membership when they order certain items from us. You have the option of saying NO if you do not wish to join the PWA membership program. We are totally transparent about it on our web page, and you are not forced into joining.

unauthorized transaction
On Saturday, July 21st, 2018, there was an unauthorized point of sale withdrawal by your company, Platinum Millennium [protected] to NCUS Card #9135 in the amount of $ 67.73. I have not had any business dealings with your company since ordering one item from the Writer's Life org. That was months ago. I did not knowingly accept any subscription services with your company, and if it was snuck into some fine print type of sneaky deal, then I wish to respectfully resign from it.
I would request 1. A full refund of the latest charge of $67.73.
2. No further charges to my account and or debit/credit card ending in #9135 or Redstone FCU checking account.
3. A complete end of said membership.

unexpected charges in bank account.
Like many people I was interested in the writer course the company offered, but then charges of $67 appeared in my account. On investigation I find that signing up for their "membership" is part of accepting the extra "sign" and is only mentioned in their video.
I have sent them this in e-mail to both [protected]@WritersLife.org and [protected]@platinummillennium.com
"Sirs,
I find you are helping yourself to money from my account on the pretext that I have "signed up for" some membership with yourselves.
My buying your product was in no way intended to enter any contract with yourselves for further purchases. I am under the impression that US law follows similar grounds to English law and just mentioning something allegedly on a video is not good enough to qualify as part of a contract. Documentation must be exchanged and signed list particulars, and you have not done so.
Expect contact from the legal department of my bank .
Please cease and desist, and return my money forthwith.
