don't be the next victim of their scam!
Buyers beware... I have been a loyal customer of playerauctions for many years because I believed they operated with integrity and held their sellers and buyers to the same level of integrity. I have 100% feedback and my integrity has never come into question. I purchased an account back in January 31, 2009 for a level 80 wizard on everquest. Over the years I have paid for all the expansions and monthly memberships fees. I also had a level 96 Berserker with over 4000 alternate advancement points that I worked very hard on. All toons on the account were geared well and the berserker had a mix of group and raid gear. There was a bazaar trader that had over 2 million in plat (game currency) and items as well. I tell you all of this because after nearly 4 years of owning this account and pouring time and cash into it... the original owner took it back. One thing Playerauctions will not tell you is that if the original owner of the account wants the account back.. all they have to do is contact Sony and tell them that it was stolen. They still have all original info for account so there is no question in Sony's mind. Sony will not give any warning that the account is being taken back either. They de-guild the toons, take credit card info off of the account, change the e-mail registered to the account, and return it to the original owner. You get absolutely no info from Sony in the way of e-mails indicating account changes. What is worse is the guy is on the toons, playing the character I worked so hard on and even had the nerve to send me a private message, complaining that I moved his wizard to the FV server that he can't be transferred off of. This whole situation makes me sick, but not as sick as the e-mail I got from playerauctions. Playerauctions only suspended his playerauctions account.. not banned. And since the original owner will not respond to them they are going to contact Sony and get the account banned instead of restoring it. Even worse... Playerauctions will not replace the 175.00 that I paid for the account at the time, which seems like the right thing to do since they profitted off of the seller's deception. 175.00 is not much money at all compared to what I have invested into the account. I guess for me it is the principle of the thing. I bought the account thinking all transactions were secured by PlayerGuardian Protection, but I guess they are only secured if you buy extra insurance on the account. They say I did not purchase the additional protection so they will not reimburse me anything I spent on the account. This is bad business as there are no warnings that these accounts can be taken back by the original owner at any time, which would have kept me from taking the risk in the first place. Sorry if I sound like I am just whining, but everyone who uses this site needs to be told the truth about account purchases.in the business world, loyal customers are valued, respected, rewarded, protected, and held onto no matter the cost. And before you judge, I made several recent purchases from Playerauctions at the end of last year before all of this happened. I purchased an account and platinum totaling nearly 600.00. Now you tell me... a loyal customer with perfect feedback spending a lot of cash with your company... would you blow them off like this? I told Playerauctions as much and will see if it gets them to change their handling of this situation, but I doubt it.
PS - Please don't be the next victim, protect yourself. I do not hold Playerauctions responsible for the actions of the original owner, but I do hold them responsible for representing themselves as safe and secure when representing crooked sellers. This is why I want market credit... I want them to take responsibility for representing the seller and taking some of my money themselves out of the crooked deal.

is playerauctions.com secure?
To sell a runescape account on PA it asks you to upload a form of ID.
I was looking on the PA runescape accounts and (long story short) clicking just 1 button, was able to see the uploaded ID of the seller, I contacted 3 different members of their live support team but all 3 gave the same message, "its impossible". I gave them a printscreen of my computer and even recorded it on my phone but they just disconnect.
After about 20 attempts at it (wont disclose method but it simply involves clicking 1 button when viewing somebody else's account) I was able to see 5 uploaded ID's that contained Name, Address and other sensitive information.
Is this a big deal or not?

As a buyer, I would consider that ID form helpful coz it makes me feel MORE secure.
illegal company violating the rules of the games
How do these folks get away with allowing people to sell other peoples intellectual property through you? You realize Torchlight II is copyright Runic Games, right? You also realize that the game comes with editing tools? People can just console spawn whatever they want? Not only is making a profit off of their game illegal.. it's just stupid. Services like yours are a pox on gaming. How many sweatshops do you run, anyways?

For many games, Playerauctions provides a space for players to trade their own earned rewards in the game for cash, or cash for rewards. While the assets that represent these rewards (and the game world they exist in) are owned by the game company, the time and effort put into acquiring them belong to the player. Game companies demand pages of nonnegotiable terms in the game's ULA (that must be agreed to after purchase but before even playing), only a fraction of players read these terms and nearly all players break them at one point or another. While using Playerauctions most likely breaks these terms (as does swearing, usually) you would be hard pressed to find any player who doesn't identify their achievements and wealth in game has belonging to them, rather than the game company. You would also be hard pressed to find a major game company of any success taking these things from players without justifiable cause. So as these rewards belong to the player in every way that counts and the game company is unwilling to change that dynamic, but also unwilling to allow these rewards to be traded for other currency; you see the necessity of third party markets. Your beef here is mostly likely with the concept that these markets are used by nefarious actors to trade stolen or farmed good for real world currency. While true, this is not the only use of such markets and you will find Playeractions to be one of the better and more open ones. Especially as they are geared toward regular players and have such a solid system of players protection that benefits both seller and buyer.
suspended my account
PA account suspend something about only having 1 account per household, I cancelled my old account before making my new one so there should have been no reason for my account suspension, sent numerous emails and contacted customer support more times than I wanted to, I just want to login to my account so I place 2 orders... don't know why it takes so long for my account to be reactivated

unsafe. sold me a flagged/banned gw2 account. lazy company!
I purchased a GW2 account, only to have it flagged and banned by GW2's Surveillance Team because the original owner had used a stolen credit card to purchase the game. Now, after putting in an email to [protected]@playerauctions.com, supplying PA screenshots of the GW2 support thread in its entirety, I have 'Sam' telling me they won't do anything because "The account registered to your email is currently active." Wtf? Not only has the game email changed from the owner's original account email (you can only change a GW2 account email once), but PA has no idea what email is now associated with the game account. So how in the hell can PA tell me that the game account is active? That account was $180 + the year long insurance I purchased for protection against this happening. How about you do your job and fix your #?

stole account, no refund, warning stay away!
I had been purchasing and selling on player auctions with out problem for about a year. I had purchased an account in Feb from player auctions. Last week I placed a sell ad on playerauctions. a buyer had purchased it. so the money goes to playerauctions. Then I sent the account information to playerauctions so they could inspect the account to make sure everything is as I posted it on their site. then once playerauctions inspect it they release the account information to the buyer. the buyer then uses the information to open the account change the information so that the seller no longer has control over the account. Then the buyer is to confirm the delivery. Then playerauctions is to release the funds to the seller. Instead of the transaction happening just like that. The buyer took over control of the account and then filed a dispute stating it was his son who was the buyer and without his knowledge he used his credit card and he wants a 25% discount stating there would be extra cost to the buyer to transfer characters to different servers on the account. I filed back a dispute saying there wouldn't be a discount because those added costs are expected. Then the buyer refiled stating he could no longer access the account and wanted a full refund. Playerauctions is giving the buyer a full refund. I am receiving nothing for my account and no way I can get my account back from the buyer because I wasn't the original owner I had bought it from playerauctions in Feb.

playerauctions
Purchased a virtual account from Playerauctions which included an additional payment for insurance if the every the account was reclaimed. The transaction states "Your game account purchase is backed by our Lifetime, 100% Game Account Security Guarantee: All game accounts purchased on PlayerAu ctions are fully insured against the exceptional rarity of ever being irrecoverably reclaimed or suspended due to the previous owner." Within two days of buying the account it was reclaimed by the prior owner so it was not sold honestly. Logged a claim for a refund, get a status "Completed. Unknown Reason without compensation." Basically the insurance and guarantee not worth a dime. I am out $50 dollars, the seller has made his money. No charge back or other easy rights of address. This sort of company needs to be investigated and shutdown.

My payments for playerauctions via paypal are going through, to quote paypal here is what they are saying: "Your order status is “Pending” because the merchant has received your order but hasn’t processed your payment yet. Most merchants will complete your order a few days after they receive it. Some merchants wait until they’re ready to ship your order. " Thus the problem is they can not go into their paypal account and simply click Accept next to the payment and manually push the process through. Customer support does not satisfy at all. Live support is unable to help with any payment issues as they are just given access to the same information I have. eMail support is not any better as they have been telling me the same thing over and over again. Phone support does not even exist.
I had to hire an attorney because of these scums. They denied my claim for a credit, however, they are actually frauds, who steal your money if you let them have your bank account information.
Do not apply! Stay away from them!
buyer protection is fake. they won't give you any credit.
The guarantee buyer protection from original account owners who steal account backs. However, all evidence points to the contrary. Their were other complaints on other boards saying the same thing the www.playerauctions.com does not live up to their promise. I sent in plenty of evidence to support my claims and they still refused credit.

extortion company! they will fine you! read my story
Playerauctions suspended my account because they are accusing me of engaging in offsite trading, I have both an ebay and a playerauctions account whatever happens on ebay is not related to playerauctions and neither is playerauctions transaction related to any ebay transactions. Playerauctions did not provided any documents in relations to their accusations and suspended my account. Playerauctions then said this in an email: As Reported by Individual member with strong enough evidences, you had been verified as member who had offsite trading behavior, and according to the above rules; We had suspended your PlayerAuctions account for 3 days, and fine you $150 for this. Also you need to keep a double deposit level which is $300 in our deposit account if you want to reactivate your account on PlayerAuctions. Please send your total payment $450 to our Paypal deposit account: [protected]@playerauctions.com and contact us once done, thanks. This is extortion for an account to be unsuspended WITH NO evidence at all provided. I did not engage in any offsite trading behavior what so ever. Please question this company in terms of their legality of enacting policies that are never even mentioned anywhere on the website.

He can't do that. They are based in Asia, fake address in the US. They scam, sellers scam, win win for everyone but the BUYERS!
You need to report them to your state's consumer affairs website and to playersauctions state's consumer affairs website.
playerauctions.com have p* me off.
Ok, so I was owed around 400 bucks from PlayerAuctions.com, I recently switched to MoneyBookers as my pay out method and I had 8 pending payments that were due to me but before I asked to be switched I asked "Should I wait till I get paid via PP first to avoid confusion with the 8 payments you owe me" and good ol Friendly "Rowell" insured me they could change them there and there to MoneyBookers for me! I was like great... changed it over and they sent they sent the payments out asap. Long story short I checked today to see how much they sent me... and I only have 200 bucks, I am still owed 200 bucks and when I contact them they claim its "already been sent". They have really pissed me off.

playerauctions.com won't pay me, scammed me, don't sell through this company
I was selling account on Playerauctions.com, buyer confirmed delivery of this account, He changed it's username to "Dr Mx799" so I know that is him, but I didn't receive money because he reported that I tried to recover this account and this account got banned.
I didn't even try to recover it but I found out who is he I also told playerauctions in my evidence about it but they kinda don't believe me, so what can I do about it he keeps saying that it was banned because I tried to recover it, but I really wasn't I told them that it makes no sense this account was banned just after playerauctions delivered him account just after 1-2 days, so what can I do
Playerauctions.com support is terrible and it appears I have been scammed. Don't sell an account through playerauctions

blackmailing me. con artists! fining me $450.00 and refuse to fix the issue
I was sent and email of them wanting $450.00 in fines? For supposed offsite trading that I was told was alright to do so by the power seller team and support team. My reputation is flawless, I have a good customer base. I was told that I can link my playerauctions account on other websites confirm who I was on playerauctions.com message system and make my sale. There is another seller who does this named Zaxxis and he was the reason I first emailed them about it, they told me it was ok to do so. Now that I have done so they have shut down my seller account in which I make a few hundred a week to live off of and was told this was 100% ok. Now I get a email with bogus fines. I think these fines are scams and whoever reported me is trying to scam playerauctions or is an ex-employee making these so called offsite claims. Because my customers are loyal and would never do this. 90% of my customers are return customers. My main complaint is I was told it was alright now there saying its not and trying to fine me. I just want a formal apology and my account reinstated. I did nothing I was not told I could do. If I was not able to do so then they should have not told me it was alright. I have solid documents showing members of management telling me it was alright to do what I was doing and was not considered offsite trading. I will strongly consider a lawyer if this is not resolved.

can't trust playerauctions.com, they won't pay you
I sold a Game Account from game Tera Online. The buyer is satisfied, he gave a positive feedback to me, but after 1 month I still didn't receive my money from Player Auctions. I contacted them several times. My e-mails were ignored and the Live Chat support always ask for order ID and then they just leave the chat after some minutes without response. It is really frustrating, now I have no account and no money. Some hours ago I just receive an e-mail that I sold another account, but I won't send login details to the buyer. He has no fault about what happened, but I just can't trust on Player Auctions, since they can hold my money again without reason.

thieves! won't honor service! account stolen!
haven't got a lot of time to play video games, but I do like to play with my friends. They already have maximum level accounts etc. I purchased an account with maximum level and all of the runes and most of the champions available to play with them. This being an Internet video gaming transaction I bought insurance on the purchase. Seeing BBB on the bottom left of the website, coupled with the option of purchase insurance I felt secure that this website was legitimate enough. Shortly after I purchased the account, it was stolen back from me. I logged onto skype and received a message from my friend saying some guy had messaged him from my LoL account in game and said to add him on skype. That guy then said that I had hacked and stolen HIS account (the one I purchased). My friend provided me the skype name of that guy Arian. chan which matched up to "esdchan" the original account name which I could not change. My guess is that either this website lets account thieves sell stolen accounts be sold on their site by hackers, or that this arian chan sold then reclaimed his account immediately from me. Either way it should be covered under my insurance agreement that I purchased. I have tried numerous times to work this out with their customer service, but they just tell me to send them my tracking number repeatedly (which I always do) and do nothing about it. I really don't see how a company like this maintains BBB accreditation.

I went on playerauctions, have all my information that is matched correctly with my paypal, I bought 20m gp for 11.20$ but it cost 11.77$ in total, so I got 11.77$, exact amount and then verified and everything and its been stuck on verifying payment for more than an hour, and its taking a [censored]load of time... I think player auctions is scamming me because it wont verify everything is correct

Some little # scammed me for lol ->20M Gold (which is $16 out of his pocket and $13.22 out of mine.) After delivering the GP, I asked him to confirm the trade and he decided to dispute it instead. I had sold 40M a few minutes before this and it went extremely smooth (person ended up being an Official MM on Sythe.org), so I decided not to take screenshots of this next trade thinking that maybe people on PlayerAuctions were more mature, but no... some #ed little # with terrible parents is out to steal an hours minimum wage from people's pockets. The idiot even asked me for 1M for a "good review" and pestered me about my merchanting methods as if delivering the GP within five minutes, getting his attention in RS without using any alert words when he wouldn't respond on PlayerAuctions and selling him the GP for the low price of $0.8/m wasn't enough. PlayerAuctions are #s. I sold 40M right before this transaction, and have a long standing good review for selling an account. When I google this #s e-mail ([protected]@gmail.com), it lands on some disgusting web site asking for pictures of naked women.
Complaint (3)
I bought a game account on Dec 4, 2011 from another member of playerauctions.com. It was played up until Feb 2012 when I allowed the subscription to lapse out thus ending my current playing period. I went back on May 8, 2012 to reactivate said account but no longer had access to it, despite many attempts at regaining access through the publishers web site. After trying to contact the original owner and getting no response, I filed an "account reclaim" through Player Auctions website on May 9, 2012. I filled out the web form in it's entirety, answering truthfully and to the best of my knowledge. Later on that day Player Auctions changed the status of my claim to "Completed. Unknown Reason without compensation." without even making any contact with me or the seller. Some hours later after that I received an email from [protected]@playerauctions.com asking for the same information again via email. At that point I relayed all the same information I filled out on the web form. I recently received an email stating they're just now trying to contact the seller, and that I should try as well, despite the fact the seller has yet to reply to any of my previous esquires. From the sellers feedback history I can surmise on my own that they did in fact regain control of the account in question. First being they're not responding, and second recent purchases point to the obvious. PA is dragging their feet and obviously have no intentions of making the payout / crediting my account.

Any one out there do not purchase game accounts from this site. Later than week no response still from him another account I had purchased had been recovered by the original...
Read full review of PlayerAuctions and 8 commentsrefuse to refund me, suspended my account
I have been a member on PA for 2 years. Never in 2 years have I gotten a negative feedback nor have there EVER been any payment issues on my end. Playerauctions guarantees a full refund if the person you are buying from does not meet their advertised delivery time. I purchased 200m kinah on PA 5 min after the payment was finalized and deducted from my checking account the seller claimed full delivery. (Every service of this kind requires a screenshot of the transaction prior to paying the seller) 10 min after payment completed and deducted I received a message on PA from seller stating "I am out of stock, it will be a LONG time before I have any" I contact live support on PA and they say "too bad. we can not refund your money for 72 hours because the seller gets to dispute your claim of no delivery." I asked them to show me proof that he delivered and I got no reply. The seller fraudulently advertised an item he did not have and then falsely claimed full delivery prior to his 20 min time limit to prevent me from getting a refund. I have to this day not gotten what I have paid for and because I filed a claim with PayPal due to the lack of communication with PA my account has now been suspended. I can not contact the seller anymore on this issue but PA continues to tell me to try and work it out with the seller. Their 72 hours has been up and still no refund from PA. The seller as well is still selling away on their site. Escalating with PayPal on the 24th of march.

paid $569.99 + insurance, no compensation, seller stole account
I bought an account and as soon as the seller got the payment, they
recovered the account. I bought the account for $569.99 I cant get
Player Auctions to respond and give me the account back, or even let me
know whats going on. I have tried multiple times to get some kind of
support. I paid another $63 in insurance for the account. I cant seem
to get any assistance in getting this account back, or anything. I find
it unreasonable that I cant get any information on the matter.

playerauctions is a scam
I had made two orders one for 50m runescape gp and another for 100m gp after waiting a long time for a message from both sellers I had decided to cancel both orders to avoid any problems but turns out this only made it worse after I had canceled the orders I was suspended within the hour this happened march 10 and im still suspended today with no reason or messages from. iv sent multiply emails to try to un suspend my account but they just ignore it so I go to customer support to ask if im still getting refunded for the two orders I had canceled before being suspended and they had said yes all orders are canceled and will be auto refunded so I thought ok but a few days later I got nothing back so I went back and this time they had said there were unsure if I was to get refunded and I had asked why and they never gave me a clear answer and just keep ignoring it then today I had went on and now there saying I will not be getting refunded at all because I had never responded or something to the orders which is stupid how am I to response to the orders if I cant get onto my account? they did send me two emails about the orders and I had replied to both but the support still said I never sent anything so now my account is still suspended and my 100$ will not be refunded I suggest not using playerauctions they are 100% not legit btw the sellers never provided any proof of giving me the gold because the trade had never happened if playerauctions was smart they could look at the messages between the seller and me and see that they had never sent me 1 message so how would I know where to meet up in runescape and they didnt give an msn or other way to contact such a scam

Paid $82.28 for an account. After 24 hours account information was not received. I filed for a refund. Now they are saying that it takes over 2 days to received any type of refund. I do not know if this is the new china or what. This has to be one of the most poorly ran companies I have seen so far. I have been in this type of business for years, and have never come across a company that is ran this bad. I would never do business with them ever again. How many companies out there say to you "Oh well you gave us your money but we are going to hold onto it for a few days before giving it back." If I had to rate this company. It would be a "F".
After waiting days to get 30m on runescape for verification I decide to cancel it and im still waiting for a refund after 2 days...terrible website do not buy from them pleaseeeee!
Well like peixe01, I also had a problem with buying an eve account from them. One week after I buy it, petition opened, eve account is taken back, and playerauctions dinks around does nothing, seller gets paid, they get paid, and im out $.
The entire system of "hiding" your information from the buyer is TERRIBlE in this industry. You need to know why you are buying from otherwise you have no recourse to get the account back.
Ill never be buying from this company and warn others to stay far away!
