Plenty of Fish
I made an account in POF (plenty of fish) as a transgender woman. Yes my inbox got flooded for the 2 days I was in the site. Few of the guys wanting to hook up with me so bad that they would offer me money just to meet them up. I said no everytime because I did not wanna break any rules of the site. But for some reason I was still blocked and got my account deleted without telling me what I did wrong. I was only there for 2 days until I got banned. Like why am I the one who is banned when I'm the one being offered and yes I declined. Isn;t that unfair for us transwomen? I do not understand why. Penalizing the victim much?
Scamming
my email is [protected]@ymail.com and I believe I am being scammed on John Walker63 profile. It says hes from Ashcamp, Ky and gave me this phone # [protected] which shows up Massachusetts. I called they pick up but won't answer... I get scammed every day/ evening. And I can't afford to pay for any services. And I can't afford to Upgrade. Please help me make sure on my email that they are all legal.
I don’t have an PoF account
I do not have a plenty of fish account but there was a transaction on my paypal account that was not authorized. It was for 38.70. I filed a report with paypal nothing...
I filed a report with plenty of fish and I have been jumping through hoops. I just want a refund and seem to be getting no where.
Desired outcome: REFUND

To Whom It May Concern:
I am sending this to report a likely case of fraud involving Plenty of Fish (POF) and YouTube.
In mid-December, I was contacted on by a man who called himself Brian Alex Martin on POF. He further related his son, William a past POF customer who had set him up on POF. Martin represented himself as a naturalized citizen, hailing from Spain when he was 23, now 63 years old. Currently living in Pittsburgh, he found it necessary to fly to Louisiana as his mother's house had burned down. He then went to work on an oil rig in the California area. During this time, I skyped twice with him and he seemed to be identical to the many photos he sent me over the course of the relationship. I am in possession of many photos and videos from him while he was at the oil rig including graphic photos of injuries employees sustained. He claimed to work for the Shell Oil Company and it would appear that they do not have rigs located at off shore California. He sent me a doctored airline ticket as confirmation that he was flying to San Francisco.
As I had been scammed before, I ran a photo of him through facial recognition. Several hits came up-identical to the person on YouTube named Peter Monn who has placed many videos of himself along with his husband Alex and dog "PP". These were very, very similar to the photos of his son and dog, sent by Martin to me.
I confronted Martin with my findings at which time, he called Monn an imposter and impersonator. I will not repeat the other things he texted and said to me before I hung up from the last phone call.
I am not sure who is who at this point as the skype encounters I had did seem to be the image of Monn. Monn is a gay man whose voice is distinctive. Martin had a deeper toned voice with a heavy accent and the man introduced as his son did as well. The son William bears an identical appearance of Monn's husband, Alex. At the least it would seem that Martin likely engaged in fraudulent behavior using Monn's photos, etc. Mr. Monn should be made aware that Martin is likely using his image, if in fact he is. If it was Mr. Monn, he acted fraudulently representing himself as Martin.
This is a confusing situation which I find myself in. Until I did the facial recognition search, I very much enjoyed interacting with Martin. I rely on POF and YouTube to sort this out. Here is the contact info I have: Martin's phone number is [protected] and email [protected]@gmail.com. The son's is [protected].
Please let me know the findings of your investigation.
Sincerely,
Susan B. Pettit
Desired outcome: report of findings
I encounter the same thing but that was on Facebook dating. And he sent me pictures of Peter Monn claiming that people were using his pictures. Said his name was Chris Sutton from Wisconsin. Said he was on a oil rig in the Scotland sea.
Unfair banning
I reported an ex partner for continuing to abuse me on their site. I blocked him once he then found me again so I reported him for harassment. After that my dating apps had been banned for violation of their rules. I'd been on the site a few days and had said hi how are you to a few people and that is it?! My tinder account which I havnt used atall had the same thing that it had been banned, how can that be if not using the site?!. So how have I violated their rules, they cannot give me an answer and they are basically allowing an individual to get away with shutting down people's accounts without giving the person a chance or to investigate first. I had evidence of the fowl things he was saying to me. I'm being punished for something I havnt done and pof are not taking action. I think it's disgusting that they support this kind of thing. I have sent many emails with basically the same reply there's nothing they can do. So I'm banned for life because I got abused by a ex partner and reported him for him to clearly retaliate in malace. This is obvious due to the sequence of events, I report him then I get banned. This is shocking

Romance scammer
Trying to make a 5 month Romance Scam brief will be a challenge.
We met on Plenty of Fish, his story is he owns an Oil Drilling company based in the Gulf of Mexico. After gaining my trust his iphone breaks I send him a $1500 new one. Next the $235k drill bit breaks. He sends his bank account link, which has $3million balance. for me to make the purchase, it goes through easy. But the $22, 500 shipping cost freezes the account. Desperate, he begs me to help by getting him gift cards someone on another rig will give him cash for. That about wipes out my savings. Then more business expenses happen, I max out 2 credit cards. Meanwhile he's still promising he won't let me down that's not who he is. All my debt will be paid. We'll have a wonderful life together.
Now he gets Covid, I start paying 42 day hospital expenses (thank God it's Mexico, but maybe not, if it was in the USA I would've stopped sooner.)
I came to my senses today when he was to fly home. The story here, immigration is holding him until he pays his taxes. I told him contact the US Embassy and I stopped contact then called my local sheriff he says call FBI.
I'm a retired 68 year old respectable single Christian woman, guess now I should add gullible.
All together I lost everything I had worked hard to build, 802 credit score, platinum status at my bank, 2 credit cards with no balances.
With the 2 credit cards now over their limits, everything gone from savings & checking, I'm out $50, 000.
I have no idea how to get myself back on my feet but I know I want to tell my story, people need to be educated on these scams constantly, in the crazy world we live in.
Below is the picture in his profile. I got him to send me his DL, it's fake.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story.
Harassing users
They allow harassing users to stay on the site without deleting them. I had one person who repeatedly sexually harassed and called me vulgar names on the site. I reported this person repeatedly and he is still a user on the site. Where is the protection for the users who abide by the rules and want to meet someone? The mental users that repeatedly harass people are going to end up hurting someone then what?
Plenty of fish dating site
The site does not work I cannot contact ppl it tells me I'm not in Australia even though it is clearly marked as such in the settings, I also receive emails from people but when you go to the site they are not there? Ghost people?. The overall site interaction is also of a very low or poor standard. I have only just signed up so the cooling off period has not passed so you have already cancelled my subscription but you have to return my payment.
Misrepresented data to get me to upgrade
NEVER pay for an upgraded POF membership. The number of people who supposedly "Like" you includes such things as memberships that have been deleted, etc. In my case, the purported number was 50% more than the actual. Of the remaining accounts, NONE were worth Liking back.
Also, if you do pay to upgrade, they will continue to renew your account every time it's due. You have to fish (no pun intended) through the pages to find the area to do the cancelation. If you forget, you're stuck because all sales are final. CROOKS, with no care for customers.
Don't waste your money on POF.
Dating website
My preferences state clearly I am a male seeking a male. My "people who like me" is filled with women. Wrong answer. Also, my search preferences clearly state 25 miles or closer. All I am getting here is people who are hours away. And the two that I did want to contact have "messaging disabled". This is as scammy as it gets. There is no customer service number, you cannot call them to complain. I emailed them the same day I joined to tell them I was totally dissatisfied and not to charge my card. They ignored two emails and charged my card, which I now have to cancel so they don't hit it again with their auto renewal.
A scam
I heard of it for years never tried it. I have to say so far I'm not real impressed with it in fact I'm not impressed at all. I believe it's full of scammers and catfish. I don't see them doing anything about it. They also will bill the crap out of you ( do not touch that blue lightning bolt they charge you 7 or 8 bucks every time there is no free boost ) . I am a gold member I always do that when I'm checking out a dating or hook up site. I am not a bad looking guy I have swiped hundreds of females from all over Texas right. Only 4 have matched me. I'm pretty sure one of them is a catfish. (I'm trying to figure out her or it's game.) so yeah unfortunately tinder is a scam. An expensive scam too it less then a week it's cost me about 70 bucks. The boost does nothing. Two of them said I had matches but nope no one was there.

Online dating... Not really good experience
I didnt get a good experience from this dating site. I met a woman (attached photo... If anyone can still see, if not deleted) she was very whiny and puppy-like during our dating and our 7 bed sessions. She wouldn't listen to me and she just want things her way. So basically the people you find in this site is just so-so. I would rate this dating site 1 out of 5.
Reported Harassment
I have reported a member "909Rolex" for harassing me numerous times after he blocked me awhile ago for no known reason. He keeps sending me messages and I am not able to see what they say because he has me blocked, yet he continues sending me messages. I have reported him on the site numerous times asking for them to notify him to stop contacting me or to block him from contacting me. It is total harassment that he is still able to harass me after I have reported it to admin numerous times. I keep asking them to do something because I just want him to stop! Now I am here wasting my time making another complaint because they are obviously failing to protect their members from people being able to harass them.
PLEASE DO SOMETHING!
I would like to be contacted to be informed something is being done about this. I can't block him on my end...but assuming the site can but they are just choosing not to do anything!

can't delete account
Yep, can't delete either. Spend past hour going round in a loop. Same happened last time I tried to delete my profile months ago.
When I go to delete account, it requires me to log in, which I do, but it then tells me wrong log in info, with each attempt, after a few goes I reset password, and the same happens again, on repeat, ad infinitum. I'm making an official complaint about this to governing bodies, which there are, as this is gross misconduct. I will find out from my mate the names of the bodies to complain to and post here so that others can do the same

Maybe you need to be upfront in your profile that you are transgender otherwise you are being deceptive and decieving people that have a right to know who you are...its a dating site, this is something the other members have a right to know. Maybe thats why you got the shaft !
because you turned people down the falsely report you and pof sides with them automatically its a stacked site
