We purchased a motor in 2021 and a few weeks ago by the way the truck was acting we assumed we had a blown head gasket. Called powertrain warranty company first to see what we needed to do. They told us to take it to a shop and have the shop to call them and from there we will deal with the shop & pay the shop and they will reimburse us our money. We took the truck to the shop & the man at the shop called the warranty company and I have a recording where he is telling him to take pictures and all but gives him the go ahead for the process of everything as long as he has our approval. The shop did the work, we went and paid them. Soon as I got the email from the shop with all the information I sent it over to the warranty company went back and forth with them all week for them to tell me at the end of the week they didn't realize we had already got the truck back and the warranty could possibly be voided since the shop did the work. Also want to add that the shop told us themselves that the heads were never machined properly to begin with which is what caused the blown head gasket. Now they don't want to pay us back what is owed to us. We used all our savings which was our kids Christmas this year getting the truck fixed because we were supposed to get our money back. I keep asking to speak with a manager at the place and they just keep sending me back to Dan which is the same guy that gave the shop a go ahead for the work.
