We were bamboozled and taken advantage of - well lied to! Del Webb lake Las Vegas owned by Pulte. Sales agent Sean M lied to us about upgrades and design center. Which is over half the reason we put a deposit down. He said we could choose EVERTHING in the model at design center, including refrigerator, washer/dryer, ceiling fans exactly like the model, lighting fixtures ones like the model! Plus 40% with a special they were running until end of the month! Design center didn't have appt for 3 weeks when got there NONE of that was true. They had no fans like the model or accent walls cannot be done and also no lighting fixtures like the model.
When informed management and Sean it was basically "I never said that" and "too bad"
We were counting on that we were lied to -
that's fraud! Then when we said we want deposit back - they kept our 15k saying because we already went into contingency... now I see why they book the design center 3 weeks out so people don't find out till then and then it's too late to get your earnest money back! This is criminal - especially to 55+ and also I have a disability that is a ton of money to me. It's sad They take advantage of people!
