PuppySpot Group dog was not properly socialized by breeder

I bought a 12 week on golden retriever five weeks ago. By the time I received the dog he was 13 weeks old. I was surprised when the puppy refused to go for a walk. The puppy was terrified of cars and would freeze when we went outside in my quiet residential neighborhood. I tried desensitizing the dog. Taking him outside, holding him on my lap, trying to play with him. The situation only got worse. When I reached for my leash the dog would hide. I took the puppy to puppy play classes, puppy training and eventually hired a professional trainer. He gets along with dogs and people. He is a beautiful, smart, loving pup. But its become obvious he was never socialized by the breeder to real world situations. I tried contacting the breeder and was told I could only do that through PuppySpot. They spoke with the breeder, but can back with vague answers. My trainer now suggests that I try to find a home for the puppy where there are no cars - perhaps a farm in the country. I have contacted PuppySpot and I just get a runaround. They don't refund for non-health issues. They want all sorts of documentation from the trainers and vet, which I would be happy to provide if I believed I would receive money back. But to get any sort of refund I would need to return the puppy back to them. So the puppy would be exposed to another cross-country flight - something I would never put this puppy through again.

Please do not give PuppySpot your business. They are a shady operation that doesn't care about the puppies, only your money.

Give this puppy a chance. It takes time, patience and tons of love to work with a puppy who never was socialized. This dog is innocent and you must be a mentor. If you are not willing, you need no animals in your life.

I gave the puppy a chance. I worked for weeks attempting to slowly expose him to cars. Eventually my trainer said if he worked with him daily he might be able to walk around the block in six months but would still be afraid every time a car drove by. I found a family who live in the middle of nowhere, have kids and another dog. It broke my heart to let him go, but I knew it was best for the dog.

I found a responsible dog breeder who has exposed his pups to what one would expect to encounter daily. She’s coming up on her fourth birthday and is a happy, well adjusted dog.

what dream world do you live in? fully trained puppy at 13 weeks? it's your fault for getting rid of the puppy. dogs can't meet your standards lady.

I wasn't expecting a trained dog. I was expecting a responsible breeder would expose the dog to the conditions he would encounter in daily life. That window, to expose dogs to as much as possible - closes at about 11 weeks. The puppy was shipped to me at 13 weeks old and had never seen a car.

PuppySpot Group puppyspot misrepresentation

I was promised a healthy puppy. My Shih Tzu arrived with parasites and giardia. They gave me a consumer advocate, Carolina, who had me get all the chart records, invoices, etc. from my vet, a very long process. I sent them to her. Now she informs me that only part of the bill will be considered. If these things would have been taken care of, I wouldn't be reporting them. I think this constitutes fraud and I am very disappointed. You better think twice and then think again before purchasing these VERY expensive puppies. The reason I decided to go this route was because of the "healthy puppy" guarantee.

PuppySpot Group details of breeder

As a Florida resident our veterinarians do not accept self breeder shots they do not recognize it. Puppyspot did not advertise or make self-aware to me that the breeder self gave shots or I would have never purchased the puppy when I called to see if I was going to be reimbursed for the charges I was told that they are allowed to do self shots apparently the customer service rep is not too intelligent enough to that I don't care what puppyspot requires the State of Florida when you're selling to an individual here they do not accept self breeder shots I will never again purchase another puppy through them and I will make it my. Was puppyspot there & witness this breeder giving puppy shots for the next eight weeks. My mission will be to make people aware of what it is that they are doing & hiding from the customers who purchased these animals

Hello, I am considering puppy spot for a purchase, so have absolutely no stake in responding to this review, other than for information. I was looking up reviews to see what i might expect. I also live in Florida and work in veterinary medicine, so am very well aware of what Florida requires in terms of sales of puppies FROM Florida breeders. Having said that not all breeders in all states are required to have the shots done by licensed veterinarians and are actually allowed to administer the vaccinations themselves. Florida actually only states that the puppy must be sold with a valid health certificate and that the only shots allowed to be LISTED on the health certificate are to be adminstered by a licensed veterinarian. However, what you are missing, is that the only shots required by the state are rabies vaccinations (at 12 weeks or older). In as such, NO VACCINES are actually required to sell a puppy in florida AT ALL, except rabies vaccination (on pups old enough). Therefore, you are misinterpreting the law in Florida. Florida only requires the puppy be healthy and have a health certificate to be sold. That health certificate only requires a negative fecal examination, and a physical examination stating the puppy seems free of infectious disease. Florida allows some parasites (including fleas) to pass as "healthy" on the health certificate.

NO SHOTS are required by the state on the health certificate, but MAY be listed if they were administered by a veterinarian. Veterinarians anywhere, even in florida, are actually fully able to accept ANY vaccination administered by any person except rabies. If you questioned your veterinarian hard enough they would admit it is their CHOICE, not the law, to not accept the vaccination. They have very valid reasons to not accept the vaccinations, however, since the puppy is likely between 8-10 weeks that you received, it would still need additional vaccinations including 3-4 repeated DAPP vaccinations, so it is very likely and probable that the breeder administered vaccinations only actually cost you ONE ior NO additional vaccination (when you first got the puppy). All the others could not have been administered yet due to the puppies age. So disparaging this company over a breeder giving a vaccination at 6-8 weeks of age is kind of a moot point. Example: A breeder gives the vaccine at 6 weeks of age. The puppy is flown to you at 8 weeks of age. If the vet accepted the vaccinations, the puppy would've needed boosters at 9, 12, and 15 weeks. But instead the vet doesnt accept the vaccination and gives another at 8 weeks. now the puppy still needs a repeat at 11 and 14 weeks. Either way, you have paid for three vaccines...same number of vaccines in either scenario, you are just starting earlier.

At least understand what you are saying before you go off about being ripped off. It is your VET, not the law making this choice. Since I live in Florida and have worked in vetrerinary medicine for over 20 years I am very clearly aware of the law here. Your vet doesn't accept the vaccination b/c they can not verify storage, administration technique, etc and they want your puppy protected. Therefore they are choosing to repeat the vaccination early, just in case the breeder didn't give the vaccine correctly or worse didn't give it at all! Your vet is doing the right thing and should be consider a great vet with your puppy's best interest in mind. But make no mistake it is their choice not the law and it truly it isnt costing you anything additional b/c all of those boosters would've been needed anyway. You are just starting them a little earlier than if another vet had given the vaccinations instead of the breeder. I recognize you were upset when you posted this review, but I think you should be aware that this is NOT in any way the law in Florida. You are 100% incorrect in that. Only the rabies is required to be administered by a veterinarian in the state of Florida. Period. I hope this has cleared up your confusion on the law, the decision being made, and the fact that you werent scammed in any way. I hate reviews posted by misinformed or confused people because in the long run you might dissuade someone from getting a puppy simply by being misinformed and consequently misinforming them. If you were TOLD by puppy spot that all vaccinations are administered by veterinarians that is one thing, but your misunderstanding of Florida law perhaps led you to believe that without ever having asked the question, in which case whose fault is it really?

I got a puppy from puppy spot ...She died before she turned 5 years old...I'm still trying to get through the loss...I got her in 2011 (the company was using the name "purebred breeders" by the time she passed away in 2016 the purebred breeders name was changed to puppy spot...Its been a year since I lost my beloved canine friend which to me was so much more than just a furry little fetch partner...

I was calling about a french bulldog puppy named lace and the woman who answered my call was very rude and snarky. My younger sister had first called and they asked to speak with an adult, as she was twelve, so she handed the phone off to me. They transferred me to a different representative and she looked up my age, which she misheard and said my account was listed as a child account, and that if i was born in 1997 I would be twenty, I was born in 1998 and I'm 19, when I told her she misheard me she did not listen, but continued to say my account was listed as a child's account. I hung up because I was tired of her not listening to what I was saying.

PuppySpot Group health guarantee/customer service

Buyer Beware. Warning do not use Puppy Spot formerly known as purebred breeders. We went through them because of the "Health Guarantee". Purchased our Great Dane baby 7/2016 and he unexpectedly passed away on 3/7/2017 from what the vet believes to be a massive heart attack. They are fighting us on a replacement puppy which we are entitled to because it was within the first year. From what we were told today, the best and final offer is 50% towards a new puppy and restrict us to one breeder. Our fight isn't over yet. I've already contacted the Better Business Bureau.

PuppySpot Group breeding

Do not buy from puppyspot. They were otherwise known as purebred breeders and if you look up all the wrong they have done, and the poor animals they have delivered to people it will make you run for the hills. Absolutely horrible company, they have no ethics, and the poor dogs they are touting as pure breeds are not. Our poor french bulldog developed demodex 2 months after we got him, seizures 2 months later. Then required two separate back surgeries over the course of two years.

Do not buy a dog from puppy spot formally know as purebreeders.com. They keep changing their name to hide from all their wrong doings and lawsuits! I bought a goldendoodle from them in september 2016 he came with a clean bill of health from a vet clinic signed by catherine lewis in north carolina. The golden doodle came with hookworm and giardia in his stools and an ear infection. The vet signed the papers that all was clear and he was healthy. The breeders must pay off this particular vet. He also has severe hip dysplasia needs major surgery for around $7000. I complained to puppy spot on countless occasions and they will not refund my money all they said was I can return him which of course I would never do! These people are crooks and they run puppy mills and they're disgusting people! Please to not buy any animal from them we need to shut them down. ! The amount of medical bills, heartache and stress this dog has put on our family because of this company is horrendous!

For those people who read the above comment please understand that I in no way mean that the buyer is at fault, however, puppyspot deals with individual breeders. Each one is separate in how they handle their dogs, which dogs they breed, and the health clearances they take on their parent dogs. In as such, please make sure you are asking the right questions for your breed and that can actually help you avoid the problem the above customer had. ANY breeder can sell any dog in the US they want. If two parents are registered with the AKC, then the puppy can be registered. NONE of those things are a guarantee of health. And a breeder cant guarantee the health of a puppy either, however, they can do many things to try to limit the risk of congenital problems in their puppies. The above cross, a golden retriever to a poodle is a likely candidate for hip dysplasia and asking if the parent dogs had been evaluated by OFA or PennHip wouldve been a good question to ask. Poodles can have PRA and luxating patellas, which can also be cleared through genetic testing. The question you should ask are if the parents have had all health clearances recommended for the breed. If parents are clear, then puppies are likely clear (although not always). So ask the right question and you will likely get a healthy puppy because if the answer is NO, then don't buy from that breeder. It is that simple. Whether from Puppy Spot or locally, you can be duped. But good breeders test their breeding parents for problems. If they dont test, dont buy! At least you will help encourage the good breeders by supporting their business practices and you won't be promoting the bad breeders and having to pay the extensive veterinary bills. I am sorry this customer had to deal with hip dyplasia, it is an awful disease, but being a hybrid (golden doodle) does not protect the dog from diseases from both breeds that go in to the mix. Sad

Being unfamiliar with what to look for in a reputable dog breeder, I purchased a pup for my daughter from puppyspot because they represented that they were knowledgeable and would screen the breeders. As inexperienced dog owners, we were willing to pay their outrageous fee. After a year, our pup was diagnosed with severe bilateral hip dysplasia. We have had surgery on one hip for a cost of $7000. I asked puppyspot for a refund of only the purchase price, but have received nothing. I have since discovered that neither parent of our puppy had appropriate health certifications. So much for screening the breeders. This has been a total nightmare.

PuppySpot Group the entire situation

I had bought a Doberman puppy at 16 weeks on February 22nd and was supposed to receive him on the 28th. Three days before I wa supposed to get him I got a call saying that the breeder was out of town for business and wouldn't be able to put him on a plane until the 15th of the next month. I was clearly upset by this since I just spent over 2 grand on a dog and am now getting him a month later and now have no idea if he's being socialized or even taken care of well. I proceeded to have to fight with people over the phone to even find out that it was the breeders brother taking care of my dog for over three weeks. but still didn't understand why if the the brother was competent enough to handle and takecare of the dog why couldn't he bring him to the vet and put him on the plane and when I told them I was concerned about the fact that it was someone who has no stake in my dog making it to me alive I was laughed at and told it would all be fine. Come to find out, I get a call 6 days before I'm supposed to get my dog that he has been hit by a car and is deceased. Something just doesn't add up with this at all. The dogs were playing in the yard but only mine got run over? And how is it a person runs over a 5 month old Doberman that's probably around 40 lbs? Worst experience possible and when hanging up after hearing the news the woman said I hope we can still keep your bussiness. Guess what that's gonna be a no. Had I gotten the dog when I was supppsed to or even when I begged and pleaded for them to send him to me he would be plauying with his toys right now instead of being dead. Or who knows maybe they sold him to someone else for more money. This company is a joke with their "reputable" breeders.

PuppySpot Group no akc number provided on a puppy I was interested...

I was interested in a puppy and asked for the AKC number of the pup so I could do some research. Wanted to see both parents and the breeding facility where they were raised!

Instead of giving me the information I requested I got a hard sell..
"this puppy won't last long! You need to move fast to reserve her, etc? "

When I wanted the information listed above... Got an email saying I could have her at a reduced price! REALLY! This is highly suspect in my opinion! If you can not get the info listed above... don't buy!

Never got the info I was seeking!

With all the marketing they do on their website saying these are AKC registered puppies, why won't they give you the AKC number?

Puppies don't get registered until you actually purchase them. That's not just puppyspot that is all breeders. There is no puppy registration number until the new dog owner pays the AKC to complete the registration. It sounds like puppyspot failed to cover that which is absolutely on them but that is why they didn't give that to you. I purchased my puppy there and got everything I needed. Try asking for a litter registration number. I also checked out the actualy puppyspot USDA registration number on the website and everything came back legit. Wonderful experience all around. I was put in contact with the breeder when my puppy arrived and they have been magnificent. Ill be purchasing from them again soon.

PuppySpot Group false advertising and fraud

December 18, 2016 I purchased a long haired chihuahua from puppyspot.com as a christmas gift for my kids. He was falsely advertised as a long haired chihuahua, which parents weighed 4 and 5 pounds each. At his last vet check he weighed 5 pounds at 4 months of age. Dogs continue to grow up until a year and he was estimated by the vet to grow up to 12 pounds. I contacted Puppyspot.com regarding my concern on the double, maybe triple weight the vet had estimated. They told me I was feeding the puppy too much and that was why he was growing so much. I was appalled that they would say such a thing as if a chihuahua can grow into a great dane if you overfeed it? I submitted a claim with them regarding the false advertising to which they said they would contact the breeder and get more information regarding the puppies' parents. I was again surprised they had not gathered that information before they would list a dog for $2, 500 dollars and use what I thought were reputable breeders. The breeder responded that the dogs had grown a pound in the two months since I had purchased the dog. Considering the dogs were 4 and 5 pounds that is 25% of their weight increase in two months. Breeding practices recommend to bread a dog at least when they are a year to a year and half old. Dogs stop growing at a year. If they bred a dog before the dog was fully developed that is poor breeding practices. If the dog was weighed much before and the weight had not been updated before it was pregnant it is false advertising. I have never purchased a dog sight unseen however I felt that I could trust puppyspot. Boy was I wrong, I overpaid for a dog that is probably not worth more than $300, shipped a puppy from California to Texas and have spent several hundreds of dollars on vet bills for shots and ear mites since he arrived to me with ear mites. I continued to contact puppyspot as I wanted a $1, 500 refund and they responded that they could not guarantee the weight of their dogs. I could understand this if the weight variation was a pound or two however this is a significant weight difference. They said no, so I then proceeded to ask to return the dog and get a full refund including all of his shots and vet expenses. They again said no and have not resolved the issue of fraud and false advertising. I have never reported a business with the BBB however I feel grossly violated, I believe they are committing fraud and false advertising, I believe they are stealing money from customers such as myself who trusted them and believed they were buying from reputable and responsible breeders.

Finally spoke to someone helpful at PuppySpot and got a refund for $400. Cherie was very helpful communicating with me and the breeder and getting me less than half of the refund I had requested. Mostly she was sympathetic and kind and I appreciated her. I still do not believe they have reputable breeders for the price you are paying for the dogs. I recommend they clarify that the prices of the animals they sell reflect the "health guarantee" as well as brokers fee.

I would recommend to anyone that if they want to adopt a dog that they just go to the local shelter! You'll be able to at least see what they are getting and it sure won't cost $2500!

If you want a purebred, adopt a retired racing greyhound. I have 6 (yes, y) and they are wonderful dogs. And there are many reputable groups out there which rescue purebreds who have the dogs and who you can interact with directly and who don't charge anything close to $2500!

They finally did send photos of the parents. They are nothing like AKC standard shelties.
I was very disappointed in the hard sell and lack of AKC registration information!

Their response... I don't have her AKC registration number, but all of our puppies come with limited registration upon purchase.

For the amount of $2, 000 they wanted for this puppy, I would have hoped the parents were registered champions! The parents were nothing like that! I passed... going directly to a Registered AKC breeder now!

PuppySpot Group breeder experience

I'm sure there are customers out there who have had a great experience with puppyspot. com but from a breeder's perspective, this place is an absolute joke. They have a team of salespeople who collect everything but your social security number to "approve" you to be able to sell on their site. Pedigree documents, pictures of the living quarters, pictures of sire and dam, proof that they're being seen by a vet (All great things for buyers). But once they collect that information and you become an "approved breeder" you'll never hear from them again. Countless calls unreturned, just as many emails never acknowledged. Promises about waitlisted clients, and celebrities seeking your puppy are all lies. We listed 7 puppies from our litter, collectively they amassed over 20, 000 views.. Not one inquiry was received. On top of that I couldn't tell if the counts were even accurate because the would fluctuate up to 300 views up and down every day.

Buyers beware, there is over $2, 000 in markup by these guys, forcing honest breeders to take lower prices because they won't budge on their profit margins. I've read several horror stories - do your research before buying. Ill never do (This type of business) with anyone whose hand I can't shake.

The best part of working with these con artists was marking the puppies sold before they could, by doing my own marketing and making personal connections with my new owners.

Breeders this place is a scam to collect all you information and provide you no servoce whatsoever. Beware.

The reason I really wanted to use PuppySpot to place my English Bulldog puppies was they are sold "Pet Only." This way I feel they are going to families that really want them as family members not large breeders.

PuppySpot works hard to make a customer happy. You are paying THOUSANDS more than what myself as a breeder sell these puppies for outside. I offer a one year health guarantee. PuppySpot holds the breeder accountable for the health of the puppy. I fully understand this but if there are any issues PuppySpot comes right back to the breeder. They aren't offering you something special on top of what most breeders provide. I stand behind my puppies.

What they don't realize is they also work for the breeder. They have a mindset that we're here because our puppies can't sell otherwise. In order for me to furnish you with healthy, playful and excellent bloodlines I put a lot of work and spend a lot of money. To have quality dogs they really need to work with a breeder. Not all puppies have the same excellent bloodlines. Please research the heritage of the puppy you're considering. There are some English Bulldog puppies on their site I wouldn't ever consider buying. A purebred dog doesn't always mean your getting the best bloodline available.

It appears everyone works in a different office. There is no organization and no one knows what the other person has done or said. My last puppy was supposed to be at the airport at 10 am. A late night email changed this to 6 am. I wouldn't even have known this but I happen to look at my email around 4. I call to double check this because it's a 45 minute drive to the airport. I was there at 6 am just to find out it was 10. Now I'm looking at a 4 hour wait. They are not honest. The flight chaperone called me to say she missed her flight and she couldn't make it there in time for the 10 am flight. They told me she did not miss her flight and it was my fault I didn't meet her at 10 am. The chaperone called me directly to tell me so in detail. The travel delays a customer may experience may have nothing to do with the breeder getting the puppy to you. It's a complete lack of coordination of any of the arrangements. I lost the sale on this puppy because the customer was so upset about her not being delivered when told.

At the health check if there are any health issues or cosmetic issues they cancel the sale. Ok I can understand that but sometimes it's a simple issue that can be remedied. They cancelled the sale on one of mine then called me to say the buyer backed out. That was just a flat out lie. They didn't even contact me to discuss anything before just cancelling the sale. Why not work with the breeder and discuss what the issue is? They have a vet assistant instead of a licensed vet. Some common issues are inherent to the breed but easily fixed within a couple days.

If you want a quality dog for THOUSANDS LESS start looking online for breeders. Go to AKC Marketplace, look at FB Clubs especially for Bulldogs. Ask for references on breeder. Make sure you get a health guarantee. Make sure the breeder has completed health checks on adults before breeding. In my opinion try to find small in home breeders not large kennels. I'm not going to breed bulldogs if they aren't inside snoring and laying around my feet. If you do look to buy from a kennel find out about their facilities. There are definitely good ones where the owners truly care and became breeders for the love of the breed.

Just do your homework and you can find the perfect puppy. There are breeders looking specifically to place their babies with loving families.

I find it interesting that they require so much information about you but won't share it with a potential buyer.
I was interested in a puppy and asked for the AKC number of the pup so I could do some research. Wanted to see both parents and the breeding facility where they were raised! Instead of giving me the information I requested I got a hard sell..
this puppy won't last long! You need to move fast to reserve her, etc? When I wanted the information listed above. Got an email saying I could have her at a reduced price! REALLY! This is highly suspect in my opinion! If you can not get the info listed above... don't buy!
Never got the info I was seeking!

With all the marketing they do on their website saying these are AKC registered puppies, why won't they give you the AKC number?

Luigi. Ciuffardihorrible store and horrible st... Horrible store and horrible staff! I can not express how much damage this store has done to my family and I through their sleazy business. To begin, we purchased a supposedly "healthy" german sheppard from the store in february. Right when we got him home, we noticed he was throwing up food, so we scheduled him to visit the store's vet (Like stated on the store's contract) on their next operating date. The vet said he was fine and that it was probably due to his age and that he'd grow out of it. Two weeks have past and nothing has changed, we took him to our personal vet and he was diagnosed with megaesophagus. Throughout his life he will have to visit the hospital and he will require constant attention due to pheumonia developing from this hereditary disorder. Right away after visiting the vet, we went to the store to report our finding and request a refund. The store manager, immediately told us to wait for her outside. We waited for about 20 minutes before she came out and told us to call or text her after the business closes so we could discuss this matter the next day. We called her right at closing and she failed to answer, we texted her and she told us to bring in our copy of the documents the next day. Right when we delivered them, she told us that the owner would contact the next day. We explained how we couldn't wait any longer due to the dog's illness and requested to talk to the owner. She said he wasn't in right now, so we requested to talk to him by phone. She immediately became furious and said no, that she wouldn't give us his number. We said, we didn't need his number, that if she called on the store's phone and let us talk to him, it would be fine. She then threatened to call the cops on us if we didn't leave the store. We refused to leave without a refund and she called the cops. The cops removed us from the store and put a verbal restraining order on us from coming back to the store until the owner invited us back to exchange the dog. Days past before we talked to the store manager once again by phone, only to tell us that we didn't qualify for a refund due to our contract. She mentioned how the owner was "such a nice guy" that he'd let us exchange our dog for another one. We requested a golden retriever as a replacement, and she said that she didn't know if that would work because they are worth more than a german sheppard. We did research at pet stores around the area and determined this to be completely false. After this conversation, she never called us back. We began filing a lawsuit against this company and ended up on the reality court show, the people's court. The court shortly decided that the store wasn't at fault due to their contract. Their contract states that a pet may not be returned for a full refund, only an exchange, if there is a sickness detected by their own vet within 48 hours of purchase. First off, stating that your own vet is the only person who can say that your dog is sick is pretty shady. Second, megaesophagues is a birth defect, not a sickness, thus rendering that statement irrelevant. Third, florida law states that if an owner finds a birth defect in their puppy within a year, they are entitled to a full refund. My recommendation is to pay the extra money when it comes down to adopting a pet into your family. Please save yourself from the stress and work and do not purchase a dog from this corrupt business!

I went into the puppy spot with my husband with the sole intention to just look at the dogs for fun. I picked up a miniature schnauzer with no real intention of buying but after 10 minutes of holding him I was starting to feel like I should buy him. I am not an impulse buyer by any means and so I checked the account to see how much we had... I went outside to think and when I saw another couple looking at this same puppy I realized that I had to take him home. We signed some papers, spent 527.18 and we're told we would receive his breeding papers in the mail in about 2 weeks. That should have been my first indication that something wasnt right but we took him home anyways. That night he developed a cough and in doing some research I found out he had kennel cough. Tuesday the 17th so my husband took him for the exam and the vet stated that he was fine, just had kennel cough, and gave us medication. I also had my husband ask about the luxated patella (Grade 1) that I noticed on the original paperwork. The doctor said that he would grow out of this and with the meds his cough cleared up fairly quickly. All seemed well for a while. I was so excited and loved bowzer like a kid. What happened next was so heartbreaking. Sunday morning at about 2am he started having seizures. My husband and I woke up to a very odd kind of strangled yelping noise; when we looked into bowzers cage he was seizing. The first one was very short and fairly minimal so I figured this was some sort of fluke. No more than 2 hours later the same thing only worse. We took him to the emergency vet. They gave him an iv, charcoal, and other medications; told us when we left there that morning to take him to boggy creek animal clinic. We went straight there where they continued treatment. I was took him home around 9am. He seemed much more like his little puppy self so I thought this might just be ok. At about 10 am he started seizing again; this seizure was horrible. I rushed him back to boggy creek animal clinic. The vet told us that if it had been anything toxic he would have started to improve so it had to be a liver shunt, which is a birth defect. They kept him for the day. I picked him up at 5pm and all was fine till about 9pm when he had another seizure. His last seizure, we took him to the emergency vet again and decided to put him to sleep. Any other decision would have been too painful on our part and too cruel to my bowzer. When my husband and I went back for a refund the manager made copies of all our paperwork and said that she would have the owner call us back. We told her we would wait and did, for 2.5 hours. We also had to drive to get the paperwork of the 48 hour exam because their fax ""wasn't working"". When I returned I had lost a great deal of patience and told her that there was no reason I should have to wait and I would make a huge deal out of this if I didn't speak to the owner. She said that he would call the following morning. Which he didnt, he didnt get a hold of us untill friday the 11th and only then said, very rudly, we needed to provide a state necropsy report for him to issue a refund. Did I mention that we never received our breeding paperwork? Have picked up the next best thing (After all this was a birth defect) left him yet another message which has not been returned. By this point my husband has contacted wftv channel 9, the bbb and we are preparing to take him to small claims court. Channel 9 is going to investigate because this whole thing never should have happened in the first place and we are not the first people who bought from this place that this has happened to. This puppy mill will be shut down as soon as we can manage it because this entire thing is unacceptable! We are still waiting on a phone call. —

Never buy a puppy from this store! And if you dont believe me just go to yelp and google and read the other reviews... Wish I had done that first. Emilyinorlando01/17/2017 don't support irresponsible pet stores! They need to make serious changes - clean up the store and take better care of their puppies. I went in and saw puppies with feces all over them and fleas. The prices are slightly above average, and the puppies seem unhealthy. Don't support this business.

PuppySpot Group Scam

My mother purchased a German Rottweiler from this company-well a least they said it was a German Rottweiler. My children and I were waiting at her house for the arrival of the newest family member, he was flown in from Texas, and little did I know that once he arrived home I would spend the next 3 hours picking over 150+ fleas from this 8 week old baby. I worked at a vet office for 8 years and this puppy was one of the worst cases I have ever seen. Since he was too young to treat with any flea medication, I placed him in a sink of warm water so that the fleas would travel to his head, their were so many they were crawling in his eyes, ears, mouth, his skin looked like it was moving. His ears were full of ear mites and yeast; he has worms and bacteria in his stool. I wish I would have known prior to the purchase so I could have done some research on this company. I have no doubt this baby came from a puppy mill-do not order your next family member through this company.

bpd is very un educated about the pups they sell.they cant be sued all there money is off shore, there 10 yr guarantee isput back on the breeder.just find a good breeder in your area you can visit or get a dog from the pound an save a dogs life

Not sure Who Mr. Charter.net is with but I DO KNOW THAT YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP.

I did of google of this person's email and it was connected with USDA.gov website.

He acted real fast and now that link is gone - can't find his email any more. Not putting the whole email out - not sure if that is legal. But for REPUTABLE BREEDERS - BEWARE OF EMAILS THAT END WITH CHARTER.NET - these are people trying to buy small dogs to resell as "teacup" puppies.

Now how is that for communication for you Mr. Charter.net

They solicit breeders and then sue them! They are cheating both sides! Breeders and the Buyers. Stay AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They will overcharge the customer then turn around and sue the seller to make more money as well and the buyer never sees a penny!

I wanted everyone to know that this company does not want to give information about the breeders and/or where the puppies are coming from. I also wanted to say that many people buy puppies/dogs from pet stores that come from puppy mills. This company does deal with kennels/puppy mills and you the consumer need to do your homework. If you decide to purchase a puppy from this site then please research everything carefully. All of your questions should be answered and no company should be tip toeing around your concerns. You are spending a lot of money and and you have the right to know what you are getting into.

The business about "strict...requirements" etc., is one of the ways these shysters try to make themselves look legitimate. Women especially fall for this act..big time. Always ignore that bunk.

I talked to them about my miniature schnauzers and they were strict about their requirements. It has to be the breeders. The lady I talked to told me exactly what I had to do and she even wanted pics of where my dogs sleep and play.
